The kid has a pick in everygame he's played as a starter so far and is a very good tackler, so when KP is healthy do we stick with Brown or go back to Philips?

Stevie Brown has played well but he should be our Deon Grant when KP comes back.

I'm liking Stevie Brown a lot, I think he still gets quite a few reps when KP comes back. He's earned it

stay with KP but its nice to know we have him as depth when KP hits FA (i want to resign him tho) just use brown like we would grant. get all 3 safeties on the field. brown playing well just improves our d, starting or not but he has looked great

Stevie is a playmaker but is inconsistent like the td over him late! he is playing well right now and has certainly helped the d.

but hes not KP yet!

Brown also got caught peeking today and was lucky he didn't get beat for the TD.

the guy is still fairly young and has great speed to really break on balls. I'm just saying he seems to have that playmaking ability that KP showed in his earlier years but has not so recently.

No there has to be a way to get them on the field all together and they will but SB did play good not great good today. KP is the better tackler and while SB has had ints.he is not the pass defender KP is also KP is a much better run stopper.

Stevie's played better than anyone could've expected in KPs absence.

But KP's still better. Not a bad "problem" to have

KP didn't give up a single touchdown all last year and is a top 5 safety, Brown is doing great in relief don't get me wrong, but KP is still king

I'm gonna pretend this thread is a joke.

Kenny Phillips is one of the best safeties in the league.

KP won't b back after this year. His salary won't be worth it.

Stevie Brown has been solid and KP will be out for a while with his knee injury. The coaches won't have to think about it until then.

Stevie Brown is no Kenny phillips but he has been playing very well for a man put as a starter unexpectedly.

LOL

Love the enthusiasm but KP is a top 5 safety (or close to it) not far off if he's not top 5.

Philips has an MCL.......at this point with all the DBs we have that are good....I'd IR him and wish him well........give the young guys the needed reps for the SB push
If KP can come back at full strength that is a different story but having had an MCL, I know miniscus tear usually go with that, and the knee is gong to be somewhat unstable for a year or so......probably will risk his career if he comes back and plays without a brace
Were talking DB here not DT

He hasn't been the same since his injury...Did you happen to watch any games last year?

You never see Kenny get beat deep (job #1 for him), bite on play action, or miss tackles. Any site that evaluates this stuff on a per-play basis confirms all of this. If you don't buy any of that, then answer this -- when have you seen Kenny give up a TD?

If he wasn't, then it wasn't by much.

What else is new, Rusty? People are prisoners of the moment. The second someone strings a couple of good performances together as a replacement, the guys they're replacing become expendable. Ridiculous...

Agreed...it's just reality. I just find it frustrating how guys like Ahmad and Kenny are thrown away like a used rubber by their own fan base when their backups play admirably. We should be happy that we have such great depth rather than making it such an either/or deal.
