Right now, I would love to have both of them but the young LT in his prime I would want.

LT is the greatest player to ever step on the field. We'll see what JPP does over he next decade.

There is nothing wrong with it and is a good question.

Of course there is nothing wrong with it, but it is anything but a good question.

LT is probably the greatest defensive player to ever play the game. Half of the offenses that you see only exist because of him and how dominant he truly was. JPP is doing great and I love having him on our team, but they aren't even in the same planet as far as on field impact is concerned.

A better question would have been
Strahan in his prime vs. JPP in his prime.

LT was a monster, has and always will be. The day when you could break fingers in the pile, break a QB's leg and no one would think twice..

Maybe he means, Little Timmy from South Park..

I'd take JPP, but only because if we took LT from 1986 and plugged him into our defense it wouldn't work because he's a 3-4 linebacker, not to mention there are a lot more rules protecting the passer these days and he'd probably draw a crapton of flags. I'll wait on seeing JPP's full body of work, but right now LT is still the most talented defender to ever wear a Giants uniform. JPP has the potential, but he needs to turn it into actual production.

All that said, if JPP ends up prematurely ending RG3's career, that would be too eerie...

Maybe he means, Little Timmy from South Park.. Some fans get caught up in off field conduct. But as a player, he hasn't been replaced yet.

I am sorry but as good as I think JPP is and yes I do think he is good........this isn't even a discussion....AS far as I am concerned......LT did things that JPP can just marvel at........I am not saying JPP can't become as good as LT was....I just think it is a very very small chance

LT can be argued as the greatest defensive player of all time(not saying he is...but he is in that discussion)

Jpp is probably one of the best defensive players in the game currently....I am sorry but that is a huge difference

Its no contest, LT by a mile! Its just a shame he got into drugs, because you could see him decline while he was still playing.

I agree although part of the decline was wear and tear and age....but honestly....LT on the decline was still better than most at their peak.....he was sure fun to watch at his peak....even in his first couple years when he didn't know anything and just ran around relying on talent...making plays

If u would pick JPP, u simply don't know enough about LT.. Thats just the way it is.. It is not a debate, and closer to a joke then a real question.. Now, i'm not knocking the thread starter, becasue JPP is really good, and maybe he dosen't understand exactly what LT was on the field..

IF JPP is a Olympic Athlete, LT is the Olympics.. That is kinda the way i would look at it...

/thread.

This entire question is ridiculous. I have to assume that OP never really saw LT to even ask this question.
I'll say again:
a better question would be JPP in his prime or Strahan in his prime?
At least that would be a healthy debate.

Honestly...I'd choose JPP and there's one man in this modern league that would make me hesitant to have LT on my team. Roger Goodell. I could see him getting suspended for a way longer sentence than 30 days for his cocaine problems. So it's not really a talent issue I would have with a modern day LT but I'd be extremely worried about him off the field in New York these days and then add Roger Goodell who loves getting involved with player suspensions.

way too early for this poll. JPP's only 23 and is in his second season as a starter. LT was possibly the best defensive player EVER
