(http://www.bigblueview.com/2012/10/26/3558242/giants-vs-cowboys-what-to-watch-nfl-week-8-matchup)Excerpt: "The New York Giants laid an egg in their season-opening 24-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys back in September. What could make this Sunday's game at Cowboys Stadium different? Let's look at some of the things to watch on Sunday.

Will the Giants play better defensively?

Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell spoke this week about the Giants' defense not really being whole for the season opener, especially in the secondary. Prince Amukamara did not play. Michael Coe got hurt. Michael Boley and Jacquian Williams missed significant preseason time with injuries. Chris Canty was on PUP.

Now, the Giants seem to be in a much better place defensively. Williams and safety Kenny Phillips are out, but Keith Rivers can replace Williams and Stevie Brown has done an excellent job filling in for Phillips.

Hakeem Nicks (http://boards.giants.com/#)' impact

We have been hearing about how Nicks is feeling better than he has all seaso (http://www.bigblueview.com/2012/10/26/3554608/spotlight-on-hakeem-nicks)n, and how he believes he has some burst back after working through foot and knee issues. Can he be a difference-maker for the Giants on Sunday?" Read more...

Gotta win the turnover battle, get to Princess Romo, and wear them down with the run and we should be fine.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Diehl has been practicing as RTE as we get ready for Dallas. DeMarcus Ware is a force, as we know. Do they test Diehl at RTE where he can line up off the line, giving him some leverage is Ware beats Locklear? They've used Pascoe on the left side. That could allow Bennett to be used in some 3WR sets.

Dallas is -7 in turnovers while we are +9

Our defense can't stop anyone. So as long they kick field goals we should be ok. We just need to make the most of it when we get into the red zone and score TDs.

Yep exactly why it will be so important to keep things that way. If we get sloppy with the ball and give Dallas the + we could be in for a long afternoon.

Giants giving up less points per game then the Cowboys and they are +9 in take aways.....not too bad....

I think you get our D of the field and continue to beat up on the Cowboys and by the second half they will look the 49ers. Think we will be able to make some things happen. Press coverage should take away a number of those short completions and give the line some time to pressure Romo. The key will be to maintain their discipline and capitalize when the opportunity presents itself!
