"Jason Pierre-Paul recorded his first ever touchdown when he intercepted Tony Romo and took it to the house

On his last trip to Cowboys Stadium, Jason Pierre-Paulhttp://www.giants.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.giants.com/team/roster/jason-pierre-paul/460f7583-1556-471f-8fa8-67a05f8ca955/) filled nearly every box of a defensive player’s stat line, including a safety, a couple of sacks, a forced fumble and a blocked field goal – just to name a few.

He forgot to check one box, though, keeping his fans waiting for an encore.

Pierre-Paul took care of that this time around when he intercepted the first pass of his career. He added the exclamation point by returning it 28 yards for a touchdown, giving the Giants a 23-0 lead at the time.

“It was something I was studying on film,” Pierre-Paul said. “I knew he [Tony Romo] was going to turn to the right side by the way he backed up. I saw it on film so I was kind of patient with it, and I jumped up in the air and got it and took off.”

The Giants would need all six of those points as Dallas scored 24 unanswered after the play. However, the Giants found a way to regain the lead and come out with a 29-24 victory.

“We’ve been in the situation before,” said Pierre-Paul, who also had four tackles and a sack. “Coach [Tom] Coughlin always preaches ‘fight, fight, fight’ and ‘finish, finish, finish.’ One thing about us is we will never give up, no matter what’s the score…We just kept on fighting. That’s what the Giants do.”
