He would be great as a fill in for spot duty but his days of starting are over...Locklear should be back next week as a starter...too much pressure coming from his side

Diehl sucked the 1st 2 weeks before he got hurt. Its a ****ing joke that he regained his spot that he never deserved in the 1st place.

The fumble on Eli was because of Diehl being ****ty. I hope that is the answer the coaches need to bench Diehl and use him as a jumbo tackle.

Would seem to be the right thing to do but you know TC .

150% of the blame is on Deihl in my opinion

Wasn't Diehl due a big roster bonus this year too?

What are you guys talking about, David Diehl is the best Giants Tackle. He just had a bad game. I mean don't you guys trust Coughlin decisions?

He's pathetic.

I dont blame Diehl. I blame TC and or Gilbride, Why the hell did they mess with what was working? And then when DD clearly wasn't getting the job done, Why the hell didnt they pull him. SMFH. TC I love you but your F'd up this week starting DD.

also Gilbride and Eli, stop throwing so deep on 3rd and 1. Run it or curl it or slant it. Stop running go routes and deep curls. It works sometime but dude we converted 0 3rd downs tonight. Simply not acceptable.

The Red Zone Offense. GTFOH with this crap. Stop running draws and do some play action bootlegs to Bennet or slants to cruz. Post's to Nicks etc.

Damn. and ELI what the hell is up with your right now? no TD's in 2 weeks, picks, bad thrown balls etc. Step you sh#t up man. I love you but crap. If you didn't play like crap we may have won man. Nicks you too.

Didn't deserve to win this game at all. but Im not placing so much blame on DD for that.

You've got that right buddy. Always roll with the hot handI 2nd that---if it isnt broke, don't fix it. Diehl, like Bradshaw, is done as quality starters at their respective positions

Its funny he starts and we give up the most sacks since his departure. Knowing TC he will statt him next week and givr Bradshaw 20plus carries. Glad we lose so this coaching staff can wake the F**k up.

Diehl should really consider retirement after this season. I just don't see the ability for him to play effective OL anymore.

Locklear will never start another game for the Giants so get it out of our head.

I agree. Diehl said himself that he would accept a back up role after coming back from his injury.

He's going to get Eli hurt. And if he does not want to play as a back up, then let him leave because he is horrible

Yep, it's time to ride off into the sunset with your two super bowl rings, big guy.

(No, I'm not putting the blame for the loss squarely on his shoulders, but yuck on his play today)

If Diehl starts next week, then I TC is setting this team for disaster. The guy isn't worthy to play for this team.

Hey not to throw it all on DD but eli has been like a sack of potatoes for the last 3 weeks, along with the rest of the offense, coaches included. So realize when lochlear comes back you'll get a marginally better player but still will have the same crappy staff. If elis play doesn't pick up then once we don't get the bounces our way, we will be scoring 0 points. This team is in a huge slump right now. Second half swoon anyone?

GiantRoc
11-04-2012, 09:41 PM
Hate to say it, but the second half swoon started 3 weeks ago. Diehl will not start next week. If he does, TC is not the coach we think he is. Diehl will get Eli hurt. It is scary how bad we are. Brown and Wilson have to start handling the ball more too.

He definitely hurt the team today if we don't draft a lb or ol this year I will be mighty upset.

Diehl wasn't the only reason they lost, but he was absolutely horrendous. Watch the film and see the pressure coming on his side almost all the time. I can't wait to see Pro Football Focus' grade on him. If he starts again next week, then the beat reporters at least need to get an answer from the coaches.

When was the last time TC benched a healthy entrenched starter for poor play?

Was it Kurt Warner?

CowboysSuck
11-04-2012, 09:54 PM
This is a fiasco. TC should have foreseen this garbage. Why he made this move is beyond ridiculous and is a slap in the face to us fans. Truly a **** move.

Never. Hes known for his tough-guy, no BS attitude yet hes more loyal to half-*** play than Fassell ever was. FACT

If Deihl is going to start, it needs to be at guard. Least when Locklear appeared not to be up to snuff he was new to the system. Diehl was just terrible.

Not only should the reporters question the move, they should be condescending and down right offending in doing so. Why this move was made is beyond any Giants fan on this Earth. Seriously, is there a single fan out there who thinks Diehl is a better fit the Locklear??? Anyone??? wow. The reporters need to give TC HELL

Yesterday, It was tough for me to say, It's time to give Diehl a Gold Watch........If this continues, he will cost us another game, or more !

11-04-2012, 10:15 PM
I wanted Diehl to do good, but good coaching would have pulled him. Team first.
When they thought Locklear was better than Beatty they wouldn't start Beatty until Diehl got hurt. How do the coaches justify starting Diehl or keeping him in the game after they did. To me it wasn't about winning it was about loyalty. A sign of weakness in from TC.

Apparently Coughlin doesn't think so. This old geezer needs to stop being stubborn and make changes. Do you think Belicheck would be this loyal to a scrub? Hell no.
