1 we need to stop having tynes try 45+ yard field goals. He just can't do it and its demoralizing to watch. 2 we have to run the ball 50 % of the time. These games are getting out of hand. 3 we need to never pass on third and 1. We did this against Dallas and against Pittsburgh we did the same audible and messed it up the same way. We never need to run that direct snap were Eli fakes that the ball went over his head again.
We need better redzone plays with more variety Bennett is a good te but he is not the red some threat ballad is. We need to rediscover how barden had a 100 yard game.

Most importantly maning has to play like Eli. Remember the super bowls? and how many short passes we through to hynoski , ballard , pascoe. Our short pass game is non existing everything is a hail Mary down field.

In a close game or a game that we are winning we need to run the ball or throw high percentage passes. Eli is playing non elite and not smart . we have leads, we are getting points on d and he is literally throwing the game away on forced passes when we are in the lead!

The only FGs that Tynes has missed this year that weren't blocked were over 50 yards.

True....but outside 50 yards, it's just not going to happen. I'd rather see them go for it on 4th down then bring Tynes in for a very long FG attempt.

Tynes is a great kicker, I don't get it?

I'm not saying tynes is a bad kicker bit watching him kick these kicks that fall 5 feet short are pretty demoralizing. We gave the stealers 3 points and some life because we gave them a short field. This is the second time this happened. I wish we had a specialty kicker for kickoffs and long fgs. Tynes has been kicking awesome is bust code for giants are bot scoring enough tds

What the Giants need to do to get better?

1. Get rid of Diehl

2. Let Eli run no huddle more often

We need to be more creative on offense. Get Wilson involved because of his speed threat. Utilize the screen pass and slants more. Stop trying to get that big play and do things to lead up to it. Run the ball more with a combination of Bradshaw, Brown, and Wilson. Diehl needs to ride the pine and play the bit role. Bennett needs to be involved more. Eli needs to stop trying to force things that are not always there. Defense needs to blitz more. Spags drove Vick and the Eagles nuts last night. Use more bump and run coverage. line up JPP, OSI on the same side or JPP and Tuck in a stand up position. Let kiwi attack more.

1. Simplify the offense. Use the backs more in the flat if nothing is down field. Hynoski will bull his way for a good 5 yards. They are too reliant on the big play. You get 4 downs to get a fresh set of downs. A slant here, a dink-and-dunk there. You don't have to score on every play.

2. Better conversions on 3rd downs. See above. Keep the chains moving and your D on the bench.

3. Stay with the run game. The radio commentators made a great point of the safety coming up to make a play at the line even though it didn't go for much. Now would be the time to catch them on their heels and have the receivers go by them. Sticking with the run could open the game for them.

4. Utilize the talent you have. Wilson looks to be a game breaker. Work a few packages that would get him into space or run him off the edges. They activated Beckum. Work him the way Washington used to work Cooley. Move him around to be a decoy at the very least.

5. The best players play. Diehl have seat. Locklear get back in the game. David has been a good soldier and has had his moments in previous years but his time come to be a backup.

These aren't wholesale changes that would take weeks to implement. We've seen this when they went on their run last year to the SB. So it can be done.

Get better play from this offensive line. I don't know how, but to me, that's the weakest link.

I agree completely ANON837. I would add... Stop being predictable on offense. Just about every time they pass on first down and miss, the next play will be a straight out running play for the sake of being balanced, and the run gets stuffed creating a third and long. Use the swing pass, screen, and passes to the flat to act as a running game in some instances. And for Chr%%$# sake every time they split a RB out wide, it's a bubble screen, DON'T THEY REALIZE THAT EVERYONE IN THE UNIVERSE KNOWS THAT?

I'd love to see Wilson split wide, with Barden or other blocking wide out. Pump fake the bubble and let Wilson fly. I seem to remember he is supposed to have good hands. With his speed and ellusivness, I think it could be a good 15 to 20 yrd hit. Even if it misses, it might keep the DB from crashing a quick out to him. That could give him room to use his speed and quickness one on one. Maybe I'm just really anxious to see the kid handle the damn ball, but I think it could work.
