View Full Version : Analyzing Our Loses

Well so far this year we've only lost 3 games, each by a TD or less.

1. We lost our first game of the year to Dallas of course, 24 - 17. Our defense was pretty beat up that game and our offense wasn't doing that great either. Even though we played pretty poorly in this game, we only lost by 7 points.

2. The next game we lost was to the Eagles. We can all easily say we could of and should of won that game. I believe if it was not for some bad play calling and some mediocore offense we should of had that game. None the less, we only lost that game by 2 points.

3. The last game we lost was of course the Steelers game. We lost this one 20 - 24 and this one could of been easily won too if our offense had shown up. But again we only lost this one by 4 points.

My point is, even though we've lost 3 games, we've been competitive enough, even when we've played poorly to stay in all of our games. Everyone likes to harp on the negatives of our team but in my opinion, even when we play poor we still have chances to win games, which I think speaks volumes for how good our team actually is.

Just a little math I did. Of the games we won, the combined points were 200 for us and 118 for opponents so we outscored them by 82 points. In our losses, we had a combined points total of 54 to our opponents 67 only being outscored by 13 points! Even on our bad days, were not too damn bad..

Just thought this was a little change of pace to what I normally see on this board.

They lost. It doesn't matter by how much. Should we analyze every close game the could have also lost?

Well he has a point. And the point is, as bad as we played in those 3 losses we were still in each game right to the end with a chance to win..

That means if coaching staff can fix some of the problems they have had we win those type games in future

Yeah I wasn't trying to say a loss wasn't a loss, just that our loses were all very close, winnable games
