If Justin Tuck has another stinker should they take him out?

If Cruz drops another pass, should we put in Barden?

What makes you think David Carr will do anything to fix this team?

I think they should call Dave Brown out of retirement & replace him with Eli right now.

Carr is still recovering from his days in Houston. He will probably always see Freeney and Mathis in his nightmares.

Eli's job is probably the most secure of anyone on the team. 2 of those interceptions don't happen if TC started the superior RT... After that, Beatty, the Browns, JPP, and Prince are the next most secure...

TC mentioned it in an interview after the game..it was pretty shocking actually, he said "Carr will be taking snaps with the first team during the bye week...I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else. Also wanted to give you guys a heads up the giants are in talks with Tiki again..he may be coming back "fingers crossed"

You guys have a bye before you play us. I think we lose to the Giants. I just hope we beat the Lions next week. If we can do that then maybe we can afford a loss against NY. NFC is so tough right now, you have the Bucs, Seahawks and Vikings all fighting for that last wild card spot.

Eli is the only guy on this team who is safe. He is the only guy who can play like he did today for the remainder of the season and still have his job security be untouched.

But just for the record, if Eli DOES have another stinker against Green Bay, I am going to be pissed. He better fix his *** over the bye.

I watched Minnesota Detroit then Dallas Philly then Houston Chicago. I just seen highlights of your game. I did watch you guys when you played the Steelers. The bye week will help the Giants. The Giants will be up for us that is for sure.

C'mon you've gotta be kidding me,, Carr???? That shouldn't even be a question, let alone a notion.. Some of you guys are starting to sound like some fairweather Cowgirl fans I know.. This team is facing an inevitable crisis that was evident since the week they beat San Francisco... They need to develop into a team that does not need to rely on their QB 4th Qtr heroics week in and week out.. The San Francisco victory was the 2nd complete game that they played this year and they need to find some ways to duplicate that in the remaining 6 games of their schedule.. I've not lost faith in them and if you're true fans neither should you. I think that they definitely need to make some changes is the run packages that they have and offensive and defensive schemes with some new looks,, along with a healthy dose of basic fundamentals for the entire team... They'll get back to their winning ways but it starts with the coaching (all around)

im cool with the panic threads after how this team has been playing. But this is just stupidity at its best. david carr is probably the worst back up qb in the league. Eli could throw 6 interceptions in the next game and i still wouldnt even think about putting carr in. Id rather them put jerrel jennigan in before david carr

They need to get Eli back on track, and I think he's taken one too many hits from the right side and is skittish...

11-12-2012, 09:23 AM
If Andy Reid hasn't benched Vick as of....three weeks ago, what makes you think Eli's gonna get benched?

Really, some of you people need to wake up. What can David Carr do that a 2-time Superbowl MVP cannot? Yes, he's in some inexplainable rut, but it'll pass.

Dude...stop reading the paper and listening to the sports shows, because all their knee jerk, simpleton ideas are starting to affect YOUR thinking!
Watch replays of the games dude....Eli is having stinkers because his OL (esp david Diehl) is giving him no time to throw, and his ballyhooed WR corp rarely gets open, and the running game is a joke so the Defenses KNOW we are throwing the ball 40 times a game!
And even if Eli and the Offense were playing lights out....our Defense has been too god awful to protect a lead of ANY size!

lol i think its fantasy Football more so. Eli will not be benched he could throw 7 ints with 3 pick 6's he is going no where. we can be down 40 points with 3 min left and Carr see's no action.l there is an agenda to pad statss so at the end of the season, a big loss looks closer and eli's yards look better.

Harooni
11-12-2012, 09:38 AM
for the record i think Eli will have a better game then the last few weeks. i think he likes to rise to a challenge. and Rodgers will force him to play hard.

i'll be honest, i don't get the point of benching a 8 year vet, unless you think someone gives you a better chance to win, which i can't possibly see as even a remote possibility when your back up is Carr.

you bench a player to light a fire under an otherwise stupid player who can't light that fire themselves, and Eli isn't stupid and is more aware than the rest of us how poorly he's playing.

Benching eli just amps up the already huge media attention on the problem.

we're all at risk of the 'anything is better than this' mentality, which the people i know in football say is one of the key differences between fans and guys that depend on football to pay the mortgage.

they know it can ALWAYS be worse.

no stat padding agenda.....please.....

Harooni
11-12-2012, 09:46 AM
no stat padding agenda.....please..... then what would you call it when the starting QB is always left in during a blowout with a few min left? its like this at the end of the season people look at yards and TC can say hey we didn;t lose by 26 we lost this game by 19. I really dont know what you would call it if its not padding stats and scores.

GameTime
11-12-2012, 09:50 AM
its called...Eli wants to play.....so let him play.
If tyou want to call it that then go ahead. A loss is a loss and I think TC believes that. I have never heard TC go over each loss at the end of the season and use the score as a barometer. Also if it is so easy to think its stadtpadding then no one wold take what he says serioulsy anyway...

Why?

The GIants need to be up, period. They just lost to the Bengals, they need to right their ship. The fact that the Pack is next on the schedule means little to nothing to them. They just need to get back to playing good football.

Don't flatter yourself.

If the Giants play well, they can win; if not, they won't. The opponent is largely meaningless as yesterday's game clearly shows.
