the old Coughlin would have conducted a scorched earth presser after that game, calling out every player from a to z.

instead he said the whole team, including the coaches, need to do a better job, he said his prep and the coaches prep needs to improve.

i don't think he believes that, but i think he said it to start the us vs. them theme for the next two weeks, and not bring any more public heat on the players than there already is.

i just wish this team didn't need the entire NFL looking down on them in order to play well.

to be fair counting the preseason they played 14 games straight...they can use a re-fueling at this point. (and yes we know that's not ALL of the starters playing all 14 but it has been a long grueling ride thus far)

but yes they are playing like **** and there's no denying that.

I still like TC but I hope it gets on his coordinators about their creativity and maybe it's time to take some of the pressure off the front 4 to deliver QB pressure? Maybe it's time for short to mid-range passing for high percentage passing on O?

Maybe it's time for short to mid-range passing for high percentage passing on O?It seemed that they were doing that yesterday. I kept hollering, "Throw the ball down the field" but I realized later that he didn't have time for his receivers to run a deeper route.

same.

fans will hate this, but if they're just competitive against the packers it'll be an enormous improvement.

If we arent competitive against the Packers something is wrong.

The Giants lay eggs, yes they do. But they never lose 3 games back to back in absolute humiliating fashion.

It will be close, GB:31 NY:27

He should have called them out....the only good thing that is coming out of this total collapse is the Giants saw Victor Cruz for what he really is before they signed him longterm.........now they will let him walk and good riddance!

Usually when he says that it means he needs to adjust his approach and it usually doesn't happen until December. Hopefully it happens sooner this year :)

.yeah, Props to TC for not doing his job! OK Tom, most of us know that the problem begins with you. Now what are you going to do about it? Because attitude like yours "Once I have a plan I stick to it no matter what" it does not cut it any more. Time for some drastic changes, beginning with coaching.

I sort of expected that.....Tom takes his foot off the gas when the team gets crushed, and it usually brings everyone together.

Last week, he called the defense out for being soft. Some players were upset by that. And yet, the Bengals went out and proved Coughlin right.....so I suppose he saw no benefit in conducting an "I told you so" interview.

Its damned hard to point a flamethrower at yourself. That's why he wasn't scorching everyone else. If TC thinks its "prep" that's the problem, we are in trouble. We need changes. Scheme changes and personnel changes. Teams have our O and D all figured out. So we need to do some different things. We need a touch of creativity. We need people on the field who can practice and deliver on game day. That is not Bradshaw im sorry to say. And Even Nicks and Hixon should get less playing time if they can't practice. TC also has to take the hit because ultimately he decides who plays and who sits. He keeps putting broken parts in the machine expecting it to work. It doesn't. Play healthy guys until others heal. Diehl will never heal, ever. Our back ups have shown they can step up and perform if given the chance. Let's try putting a team on the field that has practiced together. Maybe add a few plays and looks. What we have now is just not working.
