Excerpt: "For one split moment, on every single Redskins offensive play on Monday, every Giants defender will freeze.

The momentary paralysis will be nearly imperceptible, but it will happen. From deep safeties to the corners assigned to cover receivers to those voracious, QB-hunting defensive linemen, every Giants defender will stop and think, analyzing for a millisecond more than normal.

It will not be a moment that Osi Umenyiora (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Osi+Umenyiora) or any other Giant will enjoy. But it's the only way to solve the riddle of Robert Griffin III (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Robert+Griffin+%28Football%29) and the Redskins offense. And on Monday night at FedEx Field, it may be the Giants defense's only chance.

"It's not always an attack mentality against them," says Umenyiora, shaking his head. "You can't just attack, attack, attack."

This is what RGIII and the Redskins do to opponents. Armed with a college-style read option offense, the NFL's fastest quarterback routinely forces defenders to slow down. Instinctive pass-rushers guys like Umenyiora and Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware are reduced to thinkers, and entire teams are left rethinking their entire defensive strategy." Read more...

Containment and discipline are definitely a priority. Keep RGIII in front of the linemen and keep solid coverage. If the Giants are going to rush him they are going to have to get to him or it is a lost cause, the guy does not get rattled and has an accurate arm.

Going back to the original ways the college game defends the option. They also do things like play LBs further back than normal. We will see Monday if the giants do that as well

I've been just as impressed with Alfred Morris. He's benefited from some stellar run blocking, but he's been running incredibly strong and patient. Your classic Shanny find.

Hopefully the refs dont want RG to win as bad as the media does.....
