"The Giants delivered a convincing 52-27 win against the Saints last week, but coach Tom Coughlin said that some on his staff actually thought the team's performance was better in the previous week's 17-16 loss at Washington. ďThatís been said," Coughlin said in his weekly interview with Giants.com (http://giants.com/), the team's official website. "Thatís been floated around in this building from the coaches, but we had nothing to show for it." The Giants had a better third-down conversion and did not turn the ball over in Washington, but were stunted with an average starting field position of their own 15-yard line. Coughlin, though, made sure to point out that the excellent starting field position at the Saints' 49-yard line last week was the result of great effort on kick returns and coming up with takeaways."
