Excerpt: "The New York Giants (http://www.giants101.com/tag/new-york-giants/) have a wide variety of injury problems headed into Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, but they are not alone. The Falcons, too, have injury issues, including that of wide receiver Roddy White who has missed three straight practices this week with a knee injury.

"Were going to be very cautious with Roddy in terms of getting ready for the ball game, Falcons head coach Mike Smith said on Thursday (http://blog.atlantafalcons.com/jayadams/2012/12/13/white-could-be-a-game-time-decision/). He will not probably do a whole lot [Friday] or Saturday, and then well get him out there on Sunday and see where hes at. But its hard to keep Roddy White out of a football (http://www.giants101.com/tag/football/) game. Read more...

Considering their record maybe they will hold him out.

Considering their record maybe they will hold him out.

That's likely you would think. They would surely want him healthy for the playoffs

Especially since our top corner is out for this game... they have a little breathing room in that matchup.

So now when we beat them they can say they didn't have White and completely disregard us not having KP, AB, and Prince to name a few

We're going to beat them either way. I just think any team in their position would be wise to put one of their best weapons on hold if he's iffy.

True, but if that results in White backsliding, injury wise, what's the real benefit? It's a decision they have to make.

Logic would dictate to get your team healthy for the playoffs!

When have the falcons ever followed logic?

Maybe but knocking the Giants out of the playoffs might help the teams psycheConsidering their recent history in the playoffs every team would like to knock the Giants out of the playoffs and one loss might just do that.

Tough decision for the Falcons, do you risk injuring Roddy White more so, or do you go for the kill shot against a team (Giants) that is fighting for a playoff spot? I believe he will play, but in a limited role.

The Falcons should rest White. It's more important to be good in the post season than worry about home field advantage.

I have no doubt he is playing

Remember when the Steelers where trying to get one field advantage and they played Ben when he had a really bad spavined ankle? Well they never won the home field advantage and he was not himself for the post season. Who knows? Maybe White is not that bad? Maybe they are just toying with the Giants? If he is hurt though it would bein their best interest to rest him.

I think the Falcons will start him just to have him out there as a decoy. Enough to keep the Giants honest.

I don't think anything can stop White from going on the field

Why would they care about the playoffs, they will lose in the 1st round like always.

bet he doesnt play. that injury to his knee looked pretty bad. i know hes tough and all, but i dont know how hed be effective playing on that knee. plus, since its already weakened, one tweak could mean the end of the season. id bet he doesnt play and even if he does, is quiet throughout the game
