Will Wilson still return kickoffs or maybe Jernigan or Hixon get a shot? Hixon always was good at
kick retuns and Jernigan showed something last week.

Jernigan kickoffs, Hixon punts.

Or not.

I am OK with Jernigan doing kickoffs... I think he may be just as much of a threat as Wilson... it certainly isn't a huge drop. Wilson will likely have some returns early in the game but I don't see him doing all returns and starting.

Tom Quinn had said last week they were getting Hixon ready to do it IF Wilson had to take more offensive snaps. Well, it seems we're there tonorrow.

Seems like Hixon is our 3rd receiver, so he will get a lot of offensive snaps himself.

Yes, but he has done both before.

Coughlin stated that they have a few guys ready but he will not be taking Wilson off kickoffs after last weeks field position

I Bet It will be a Mix.......Starting with Wilson, to get the Giants Pumped UP ! He's not satisfied with 30 yards anymore, he's spoiled !

Thereís always somebody saying that Wilson canít do it, and those people have to be ignored.

Never underestimate the GIANTS !

Today's Newsday has TC saying he has no intention of taking DW off kick returns. Also has DW saying no more back flips, thank God.

I put Wilson in for the opening kick of both halves, even if it means empty set for the next 2 plays.

Jernigan has to pull his weight after that

I want to see Wilson on screens and dump offs

Makes a whole lot of sense to me to remove a great new-found threat on kick-offs from returning kick-offs, and who almost single-handedly beat the Saints, and replace him with one of two people whoo have never had his success returning kick-offs. I think for his safety and possible injury he should not be used as a running back either just to protect him so he can play in the SB

Actually one of the possible replacements, Hixon, has done it before. In fact, the single season all purpose record Wilson broke last week, belonged to Hixon. HOWEVER, TC has said he doesn't plan on taking Wilson out of the return role. That could change by game time, but that's the last thing he's been quoted as saying on the issue.

If he was to replace Wilson, I would rather it be JJ. Hixon is our only decent option as the 3rd WR right now and hasn't been the most durable player of late. The days of him breaking return records are long gone. JJ can handle it.

I wouldn't count out Hixon on anything. He has surprised us his whole career.

Sounds good from a who's the best guy standpoint. I am guessing Lumpkin will get some offensive snaps and Torian may as well.

LOL, that would be awesome, we would cut Wilson while starting him and have a new starting QB every week.

They would have to install turnstiles at the front door lol

makes sense to me. If Wilson can come close to his return performance, the last thing we want to do is remove him from that duty. It's probably better that he shares the load a bit anyway, with his total experience level.

I say let Jernigan have a crack he showed a little spark last week.

Fortunately, we have several alternatives if they decide they need to make a change

during that short kickoff last week JJ almost went the distance with it showing he does have the potential!

i recall TC saying Wilson would remain the kickoff specialist but if he does replace him i expect JJ or Randle to handle those duties!

i actually have mixed feelings with Wilson doing this!

i mean we need him as the starting rb and gaining valuable field position during kickoff returns. we do need to draw the line somewhere with this guy!

thats true but i suspect Hixon would do 1 or the other and thought he would be more effective at punt returns.

Hixon certainly is an option. we wouldnt lose much with him doing it!

Tom Quinn said last week that Hixon was being prepared to return kicks IF Wilson was to have more offensive carries. He also said they have more than one player they can turn to. I assume he meant Randle and Jernigan. One of the issues then was the availability of Nicks. If Nicks goes down, Hixon would become the # 2 AR and I doubt he'd be returning anything.
