Is it time to insert energy into our dline? I liked this kid a lot in the preseason.

Energy? Yes. Ojomo however is probably not the way to go about it.

you'll have to wait until 2013

Y do people think he is our savior on this dline they don't even put Marvin Austin and he was the second round pick. this guy did good against third and fourth string guys. he's not getting in

If he's healthy I wonder why he at least doesn't get in a rotation.

More coordinator mysteries, I suppose.

I'd rather have players with a motor that will make some mistakes compared to the travesty that is OSI. Please watch him every play he looks like a ballerina.

I think it's more about getting some fresh wheels in there to give Tuck and/or Osi a breather every now and then.

Do you understand who the defensive coordinator is: FEWELL will never allow pressure on a QB...he rather admire the beauty of the opposing QB in the pocket...his favorite guy is RG3

I think Ojomo would breath some fresh air into our missing pass rush...

He's behind Tracy who is not getting that many snaps. I'd like them to b ring both Tracy and Ojomo in a scheduled rotation for Osi and Tuck

I personally like Tracy a bunch. I wish he would play more.

too funny !!

but on a serious note .....that is one of the drawbacks of our philosophy around here.....
"next man up " doesn't get any playing time until it's absolutely necessary.
you can be on this team for a very long time and rarely see the the field.

they call it "player development" ......
but the truth is that they will only play established veterans unless pressed by injury.
which is why next man up doesn't do very well at first.....cuz he is so inexperienced.
and the wounded vets suffer because they ride 'em into the ground.

Kid has some raw talent, not sure he's ready for prime time. You saw what happens to young guys who are launched before their time!

agreed....We could use some fresh legsWe could also use some fresh ideas instead of Killdrive's stale playbook. Any DC with half a brain can figure out what Killdrive will call.

that is true .....but i'm not talking about starting a rookie.....i'm saying that
playing an occasional series now and then is great for game level
experience so that if someone goes down the next man up has had some good reps.
its also good to give the starters a rest.....i think its a win-win in that scenario.....
and i don't think we do nowhere near enough of it.

I'd have liked to see more of Tracy who seems to make plays when he's thrown in. Ojomo too though.

how do you think it relates to psyche and morale......
i know if it was me i'd feel more excited and into the team spirit
if i got a chance to contribute and feel like i was "a part of the team" every now and then.

The coach / coordinators have their reasons. They see these guys every day so I have to trust that they know best.

And it's not like we're talking about a 2-12 team here either.

Ojomo cant do any worse than Osi. Watching Osi try to jump every snap and just run around the outside while the qb steps up making Osi irrelevant is just flat out sickening. Like Antonio Pierce said on espn radio, "Osi is a situational pass rush 3rd down specialist" and "Tuck hasnt been Tuck in 3 years, I dont see the production and I dont see him in there when his team needs him or making a play"

They can't possibly know future injuries, but they should know we have a crapload of them.
With that in mind, you have to play those not ready, or they won't be, when you have to play them.

This. I'm not asking for a start, just some rotational snaps. They did it last year, with Tollefson.

Oh, right, our coaching staff is allergic to rookies...

This is something that perplexes me....it's clear the veterans are getting run down, on both sides of the ball.....we've got fresh young talent dying to make a mark in the league, and they are getting moldy on the bench.

Exactly.....our defensive line is deep....guys like Ojomo and Tracy would probably be big contributors on other teams......Fewell doesn't rotate enough.....guys should be flying around on every snap, not sandbagging it until it's a big play.

He totally lit it up in the preseason.....played so well that there was no way he could get cut.

Then, I think he pulled a hammy or something, and since then, has been hanging out with Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster.
