before my time but I will do my best

Shiek
Allegre
Buford? or Subert? One was a kicker I think
Nittmo
McFadden
Bahr
Stover IR but he was on the 90 team

ok, that's all I got, maybe Nittmo was the 90s and there was somebody before Shiek but I have no clue.

Punters are easier probably:
Jennings
Landeta
Again either Buford or Subert whichever was a punter

going into the 90s you Landeta begot Horan...Maynard....Williams....Allen....Feagles... Dodge, I am missing somebody, but it is 5:40 am and I have a wicked cramp in my *** so gimme a break.....who sam I missing?

I'll agree... throwing the ball at the Cowboy's clock, in some strange way, made me feel a little retribution for years ago when Vai Sikahema punched out the goalpost pads at Giants Stadium. Yeah, he was an Eagle and the clock was the Cowboys, but it was finally an overt and outrageous celebration actby a Giant that screamed "In your Face." Does that make any sense?

In the early 80's Giants got a FA DT who had a try out for the Chiefs, the Giants turned him around and had him play guard on the offensive line and he became a pretty serviceable player who was he?
was it Jeff Weston? for some reason he popped in my mind....a local Jersey guy
No not Weston, but let me clarify my question this guy played for the Giants from 77-83

Being a partial Viking fan back in those days, the photo was easy..Joe Kapp.

He threw 7 TDs in a game. I believe 3 or 4 others have done it including YA of course.

I'm stumped, jomo
Alright Zim, this is a bit of a trick question because in the winter of 1972 this player was in fact traded to the Pats. However,he never played in New England because he was traded againon draft day to a west coast team. He played there for anadditional10 years (quite well I would add) before moving on to another successful career.

fill in the blanks in 1978 when the Giants played the Cardinals at home.....the Giants QB was _______ and that day he threw for a grand total of ______ yards in a 17 - 0 win over St. LouisWell if it was 1978 it was probably Paterson Plank Joe at QB unless he was hurt. I have no memory of the game but I'll guess that he threw for 149 yards that day (an average outing for him),

A very forgetable season (The Fumble year). We had Pisarcik, Jerry Golsteyn and Randy Dean at QB... wow, hurry up* George Young and Phil.

Can't argue with jomo on Pisarcik, but I'm gonna guess less than 100 yards by our QB in that game.
Jerry Golsteyn and Randy Dean ugh! Based on how YA framed the question, I wouldn't bet against you zim. <100 yards is altogether possible given who was under center and the cast he had around him that year.

it was Randy Dean and he had a grand total of 24 passing yards

You guys are going to laugh at me but, to this day, from what I remember, a handoff to Csonka was called in the huddle, (it shouldn't have been, but it was) and Pisarcik took the snap and went to give it to Csonka and Csonka wasn't ready for it (Csonka supposedly told Joe to just fall on it in the huddle), but Joe went to carry out the play. He shouldn't have, but he did.

Anyway, to me, Csonka was partly responsible.

We were just kidding around Ros........the play was called from upstairs by Bob Gibson , relayed down to the field where sideline coach Lindy Infante sent it in with TE Al Dixon. Joe did want to change the play because he had experinced Gibson's wrath before on changing plays. Nov. 19 , 1978

Nov. 20th , 1978....Bob Gibson was fired

This Giant played a significant role in the Bills epic comeback against the Oilers in the 1992 playoffs.

The only Giant I can think of that was on their team, and would be on ours later on, was Carlton Bailey

Happy Easter everyone

nope, i should say that he was a bill before he became a giant
glenn parker

nope, i wasn't thinking of glenn parker, i already used him in another question :) but yes, he DID start that game, and started in the last 3 buffalo super bowls, and was on the team for 1990, and part of the giant massacre of 2000, so if there ever was a football jynx, he's it.

Glenn Parker is one of like 3 players who have lost 5 super bowls.

what are the odds?... you gotta feel snakebit.

Or privileged, how many players can say they played in 5 superbowls

true... many would give their right arm to play in one.

it was this guy
is that steve christie?

yes sir. after week 4, he only missed one field goal. very underrated.

and in the oiler game, he recovered his own onside kick, and kicked the game winning field goal.

Ray Wietecha was our center that year. Was it him?

Correct

Good job jomo

like most old timers, I remember more from when I was a kid than what happened yesterday. I was too young to remember the 1958 game but Wietecha lasted into the early '60's as a stand out center for us. He never missed a game in 10 years for us.

What else was he known for after his playing days ended? (hint: it also had to do with football)

Troy is one, UNC is another, but neither USC nor Boston College is one. Can you name the 3rd?

Troy btw is Osi, Jernigan and Tynes

UNC is Nicks, Hedge**** and Austin.

USC only has Thomas and Smith.

Boston College only Snee and Kiwi.

For all those who say that the Giants favor Boston College, they have as many players from Akron and East Carolina as Boston College. There is one for you, name the 2 players from Akron. East Carolina is too easy.

Would be fun, but unfortunately I'm a busy woman. I get 1 day off every 3 weeks or so (home sick right now, yay time off....cough, cough, hack.....sniffle) so I don't usually have the time to do something like going to a game. When I do, we tend to head across the river to a thunder game.

Draft question for you guys......

Name the QB out of Washington from the 70s who was a native American Indian.

Clue: He was on the cover of Sports Illustrated and never really made it as a pro.

jack thompson"the throwin'somoan"?(spelling?) Nope, not the throwin' Samoan. This guy had a really cool real name and was a native American.

This is a great question and I want to give everybody a shot at it so I won't give it away but I think his initials are JJ. And he went 1 for 3 with 3 different NFC teams and wound up on an AFC team.

Am I right?

See I am wondering what he means exactly. "This Giant went 1 for 3 in the Super Bowl" reads more like a QB going 1 for 3 passing, or maybe 3 half back option plays. Or maybe it's the kicker. Was there a kicker that only made one of 3 FG attempts in the SB? Really hard to figure this question as it seems incomplete to me.
