Kiwanuka and Tuck 3 sacks each and big contracts. Restructure or adios. We probably won't see Tracy or Ojomo unless the Giants are eliminated from the playoffs.

I think Tuck is going to be inactive in which case both Tracy and Ojomo should suit up for this game.

I'm sure Boothe has had issues in the past snapping balls at center. Dude's got a giant butt haha

To be fair, Andre Branch hasn't really done much at this point. The concerns of him against the run in a 4-3 have kept him off the field. I still think Glenn or Upsahw would of been the better value pick at the time but we'll just have to see.

We have tuck osi and jpp, theoretically, de shouldnt be a concern at all. But with tuck hitting menopause, osi happy n content with his overpriced salary, and jpp whose following his defensive leader off a cliff...we may need to draft multiple des and sign a fa or two...gdang tuck

What bothers me the most bout this is pf could haved schemed the d differently/creatively to get a guy like jpp constant 1v1s. For example, jpp is getting doubled and chipped at de. Why not use tuck n osi as the down des, and have jpp take on that joker role kiwi does. Move jpp all around, have him standing up. Do things that make it tough for the ol to identify where the rush is coming from, where jpp is coming from, and how to contain the rest of the dl. Im not saying doing this snap after snap, but my goodness can we see it some? Pf used to do that with jpp n tuck, it seems now its only tuck doing that and he just isnt getting pressure...if they wanna double jpp when hes in that joker role, the rest of the dl has it easier imo

That certainly wouldn't of been bad but I think Upshaw would of been able to give us more on the field as an every down player versus Branch. He's been pretty good this year against the run even though most of Balt's D has struggled against it.

From PFF - While the headlines on the Ravens’ defense this season have focussed on the losses, and comebacks, of Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs, it’s worth pointing out that two of the lesser regarded players have each excelled in one aspect of their game in particular. Rookie outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw has looked up to the task of replacing Jarret Johnson, who was a constant force against the run during the past four seasons. With 29 of his 34 tackles resulting in a defensive stop, coming from 282 snaps against the run, Upshaw ranks second among outside linebackers with a Run Stop Percentage of 10.3%.

I dunno...I suppose the FO didn't like Branch's documented issues against the run and questioned his ability to play a 4-3 while Upshaw's height might of kept him off of our boards.

Really don't care how good a de is at defending the run. Getting after the qb is what wins games. Branch wouldn't play strongside anyway.

Strongside has been a major issue for us this year though and due to our inability to stop the run, that's been another factor in our pass rushing woes. If you can stop the run and force them to 0-3 yard gains majority of the time, you can get your specialists like Osi, Aldon Smith, and that Bruce Irvin kid from Seattle on the field. What I'm arguing is that we wouldn't of had the opportunities to really utilize Branch that often.

Now I just realized how silly we are debating this hypothetical lol but I think we both agree that the defensive line is a strong need heading into 2013 and that we also need more skill at the linebacker spot to address the run defense as well.

More than likely, higher production. Tuck was groomed to take over stray, jpp for osi, osi took over kiwi's old role. Now, osi will be gone and noone with experience will be there to replace him. Our formula has been to have 3 pro bowl caliber des, average linebackers, and a decent secondary. We need to get back to this. That David Wilson pick will hurt us for years. I'm rambling, we obviously agree

Ive seen games where the offense was 100x worse than the defense and tc didnt do anything but i remember a few times where the d was struggling and tc was yelling at pf on the sidelines...never seen him do that with kg...dunno what this means but like i said, bc of this, wouldnt surprise me if tc wasnt warning pf or something like that

i think Tuck has played like an old man .......................... like he is 55 . if he is injured he should not play !!!!!! he does not hold the line or the edge and he is playing so small and gets burnt all the time , you go around his side you get 8 or 9 yards for sure . he is playing very slow and with no passion. he should get serious bench time
