Yea it was really something watching Eli yesterday. When he's on, he's on! love it

in other news, i got ripped off in fantasy again.... im like the NY Jets of fantasy football!
Start strong, and then totally suck the rest of the season.
I take that back. I feel like everyone just strings together good games against me. I usually put up pretty good points, so I kinda am getting screwed on a consistent basis =\

yea Eli looks good, especially when he isn't on the run for his life or getting blindsided while hes throwing the ball...

WTF is up with our line this year... they have definitly regressed overall.. still a good line, but far from dominant.

Danny Ware did a great job all around i thought

agreed. He only got 2 carries, but averaging 7.5 yards aint bad hehe. I think we should work him into the game plan more. If our running game isnt working too much(which it hasnt been really) I saw we give Ware more carries over AB till he starts getting more than 2 yards per carry....
We're severely lacking in that department. Eli has been pretty good this year(minus some debacle games) but HAVING to rely on him is just not fair. We need help from the run game to balance it out.

I must say Danny Ware CAN BLOCK!!!

There were at least 4x's yesterday wehre he picked up the blitzing LB and neutralized him essentially saving Eli and allowing him a safe throw

Props to you Mr Ware!!!!!

As per norm we see gilbride running our guys and when its just starting 2 click BAM he abandons the run game....... BJ is having another normal season 5ypc and 1K yds projected, we just gotta keep with it not have 4 good runs and never see Jacobs again

Tynes always makes the clutch kick though. You have to give him that. I don't recall him ever missing a kick to win or tie a game. I would rather have that guy than the guy who is consistent and misses the important one.

i see your point, but....if youre missing FGs that effect the end result of a game we wend up losing...well.....regular season dictates playoffs...so every game is extremely important. Clutch or not, Tynes is a pretty bad kicker.

4th and 7 at GB 25(6:53) L.Tynes 43 yard field goal is No Good, Wide Left, Center-J.Alford, Holder-J.Feagles.

3rd and 8 at GB 18(:04) L.Tynes 36 yard field goal is No Good, Wide Left, Center-J.Alford, Holder-J.Feagles.

i think that is the most overlooked thing ever... both in the 4th quarter.. .all anybody remembers is him hitting the one in OT... nobody wants to tyalk about the 0/2 in the 4th quarter that could of cost us the superbowl

well our MLB was injured and so is our only saftey thats worth a damn... the middle of the D is going to be an issue for the rest of the year... with or without Pierce.

At least we know the two postions we are going to address in the draft next year...

It is like we are a whole different defense at the end of the game. It was an exact copy of the Chargers game. I don't understand why what we have been doing the whole time stops working in the last 10 minutes of the game.

thats not true... Tynes is kicked 81%, currently 19th best in the NFL... its frustrating...

and most of these guys are bringing their percentages down 40-49 and 50+ attempts..

Tynes is 17 for 21 from 20-39 yards...

thats pitiful.. hes just lucky we've had so many red zone problem woes
that hes had alot of chances to pick his stats up... those are chip
shots...

doesn't it bother u that the only other person to miss 4 FGs between
the 20-39 yard range is Jason Elam and at least he is perfect from
20-29 yards where Tynes has missed 2.

hes the only kicker in the league to miss two FGs from the 20-29 yard
range.. the other two had their kicks blocked... its pathetic

The reason we are in the position to need an important kick is because he missed one earlier much of the time....

Tynes is terrible, like Kevin Gilbride terrible, those are the two places our team most needs improvement.

I HATE the fact that Tynes gets so much credit for the NFCC Game winning kick, the only reason we needed that kick is cause he missed two earlier!!..

you shouldn't be congratulated for making up for your mistakes.

Tynes always makes the clutch kick though. You have to give him that. I don't recall him ever missing a kick to win or tie a game. I would rather have that guy than the guy who is consistent and misses the important one.

Tynes is fine. All fans hate their kicker.

Our pass rush disappeared in the 4th quarter. Thats (in my never to be humble opinion) where the problem lies.

that and the secondary has ZERO playmakers...

they just don't throw to Webby and pick on everybody else who is mediocre at best in coverage...

and why do we not disguise blitzes?

It is like we are a whole different defense at the end of the game. It was an exact copy of the Chargers game. I don't understand why what we have been doing the whole time stops working in the last 10 minutes of the game.

it is disturbing..

but... thank god for the offense?

thats not true...

It does bother me to a point. He won the Dallas game and the Atl game however. He doesn't really miss the big kicks ever. Did he miss a FG in the AZ or SD game?

Wow, just Wow..

Tynes sucks, defense sucks, Reese is a imgrate, etc, etc...

Good thing you guys won yesterday..

lol Reese isn't an imgrate... anybody who says that is a moron...

well i dunno, if he lets Sheridan and GIlbride stay as DCs.. .then he may be... but i dont believe a mid season change would necessarily be the right thing either, so hes not an imgrate in my book.

Tynes blows **** man... see my stats i just posted from him...

The defense doesn't suck really... but our pass coverage does. And it stems from the middle of our defense and our gameplan... we bring pressure but thats why we missed spags cuz he didn't only bring pressure he masked it so well, you never knew where it was coming from. I mean i like the tuck dropping coverage on Gonzo every once in a while... but I mean we have all of our blitzers on the line and they always just go...

In the offseason I said on the TAGF that Sherridan is a lucky guy. Walking into such an awesome defense that has dominated for awhile already. Even WITH upgrades at a few positions!Christ, how wrong was I??!?
Granted, I know we've had some injuries, specifically in the secondary obviously....but, why is the pass rush so bad? What happened to the 4 sacks a game... a hurry on virtually every passing down?
Was Spags THAT much of an asset that we relied on HIM instead of the great players we already had? Dont get me wrong, I love that guy, but I always thought we had the talent, and he just utilized them effectively. Whaaats the deeeeaaaalll?

Don't get me started on Gilbride, the worst OC in NFL history. Doesnt anyone else think it's odd that we moved a guy from QB coach to OC after he served as OCon multiple awful offenses throughtout the years?? The guys longest tenure was with Houston way back in the dizzay! He never kept a job over a year, and yet we let this guy run an offense? lol
He needs his OWN THREAD, forget this post! haha....(im sure there are plenty of Gilbride threads already so nevermind) =]

Only because Eli gave him another chance, he was lucky, what if we never make that drive back down the field, then we lose cause he missed the field goal? no the blame will be on the defense or on the Offense, noone ever blames the kicker unless it's the "last" thing to happen...but that's not fair.

No, I would blame the defense.

Elam missed one to so it kind of negated that in my eyes. However I was thinking the whole 4th quarter that it would have been great to have that FG.

So many things happen in a game. We had a 14 point lead with 7 minutes left. Had we of lost I could not have put that on Tynes.

I knew this guy and just saw him like 5 days ago. Life is so precious. Hug your wife, girlfriends and kids if you got em. I love all you people...

Deputies arrested a man on negligent homicide
charges after he allegedly backed over and killed another man with his
car in Eagle Mountain Saturday.

According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, a family was
having a get together Saturday night when two people started arguing.

It escalated into a physical altercation, then one of them ran over the other with an SUV -- killing him on the spot.

Many neighbors were shocked. They told KSL everything seemed normal, even jovial, just minutes before it happened.

Garrett and Dalon Cantrell went out to smoke around 10 p.m. That's when they saw the gruesome scene.

"Noticed the victim laying right there on the floor," said Garrett. "He had a sheet over with some blood stains on the head."

Another neighbor, Alfonso Lopez, looked out his window when he heard noise.

My neighbor tried to give him CPR but he was not responding," he
said. "For a few minutes they tried and tried. It just looked like he
was dead."

The victim -- 29-year-old Brett Ostler of Magna -- was visiting his sister at a house near 7000 North Kiowa Parkway (4000 East).

Deputies said Ostler's friend -- 26-year-old Eric Porter of North Salt
Lake -- was also at the party. The two apparently got into an argument
and it escalated inside someone's SUV.

Detectives said Ostler assaulted Porter, then got out of the
car. At that point, investigators said they believed Porter backed up
and ran over Ostler.

"The suspect recognized he had hit him. He stopped. He moved
his car half way around the block. He called 911," said Sgt. Spencer
Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives said Ostler assaulted Porter, then got out of the car. At that point, investigators said they believed Porter backed up and ran over Ostler.

"The suspect recognized he had hit him. He stopped. He moved his car half way around the block. He called 911," said Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff's Office.
thats terrible man im sorry to hear that.

Let me just make a few points here.

1. Its hard to believe that a day after our kicker made a game winning FG in OT, everyone is whining about our kicker. I saw one post a few pages ago that claimed that 81% is pitiful Tynes is not a great kicker, but he's a solid NFL kicker. We aren'tgoing to do any better picking up a guy off the street.

2. The problem with our defense has very little if anything to do with our DC. Our defense is now, and has always been dependent on our pass rush. The rush in the first half was very good and the defense played well as a product. In the second half it got steadily worse, until it was non existent in the 4th quarter.

You can't give an NFL QB all day to find receivers. He WILL find them. No secondary can cover for ever.

3. How can anyone complain about KG yesterday. We found a weekness in the Atlanta secondary and worked it all day. Our offense did a great job and the play calling was just fine.

4. WE WON.. And it was a HUGE and DESPERATELY NEEDED win. Winning is

what matters.

From one week to another, NFL teams are hard to read. (like us) I expect a good performance on Thursday.

BE HAPPY. (Plus Team Morehead is on a roll)

a) our kicker is the reason we were into the overtime... its the same thing as the NFC championship game... all people remember is the last kick, what about the ones before it he missed... lets get real, hes the WORST in the league in FGs 20-39 yards.. its a fact lol infact hes the only one to of missed one form 20-29 yards that wasn't blocked!

b) na i agree... our issues is personel... i just hate how we don't mask our blitzes

c) i agree... Gilbride called a good game yesterday... a couple of questionable decisions... but he didn't kill us. Aggressive at the endzone, which is a change.

d) i am definitly happy, but probably not as happy as i should be... the fact that we almost blew it again is still hanging on me. It seems like teams can throw at will on us when they want to... it reminds me of hte 06 season.

Not really. I mean, we gave up so many free yards in the 4th on penalties alone that the blocking wasn't even an issue(not to mention i think there was a def. holding on one of the drives that was called).
I'm trying not to *****, but I think I've come to expect stellar defense and pass rush from our line, so it's hard to adjust to not seeing the explosiveness we used to see.
<3 Tuck, but it could be just deflecting the problem to a changed offense. whoo knooows

Let me just make a few points here.

Let me make a few counter points here

Tynes has missed more short FG's then any other kicker in the NFL this year, he's not a great kicker, he's not even a good kicker, he's a terrible kicker, and I'm a little sick of him getting credit for end of the game FG's for wins when it's HIS FAULT we need end of the game FG's in the first place cause he's missing chip shots earlier in the game.

I disagree, I think it has EVERYTHING to do with the DC, he's not rotating the rushers like Spags did, he's rushing the same 4 all game long, it's no wonder they are getting tired at the end of the game, I'm seeing FAR less Blitzing then we had with Spags, and when we do blitz there is nothing creative about them like there was with Spags, add that to the injuries and it makes a lot of sense why our defense has been so poor at the end of games

3. How can anyone complain about KG yesterday. We found a weekness in the Atlanta secondary and worked it all day. Our offense did a great job and the play calling was just fine.

I can complain because Gilbride has been terrible for YEARS, one game here or there is not enough to bail him out.

4. WE WON.. And it was a HUGE and DESPERATELY NEEDED win. Winning is, what matters. From one week to another, NFL teams are hard to read. (like us) I expect a good performance on Thursday.BE HAPPY. (Plus Team Morehead is on a roll)

I'll be happy when we win the SB, till then, I'm going to look for places the team can improve.

but it was against his former team.. he doesn't normally play that intensely.. if he does then he may be my next new jersey

Oh you KNOW I was happy bout that..... being the Boley Bandwagon leader that I was, now if we can only get (or mold) another 2 or 3 LBs like him

He def had a ROARING fire under his wahzoo yesterday, but he always plays consistently good with speed, power, and skill. In the games he played with us, he looks like our best LB since Jesse

Once in a while, a kicker will miss short FG's.

stop being stupid, yes, kickers miss field goals occasionally, noone questions that, the problem is Tynes misses more then most, and misses the easy ones more then anyone in the nfl right now....and that's unacceptable.

I watched my team give up a 14 point lead halfway through the 4th quarter and you guys for some inexplicable reason, are choosing to complain about the friggin kicker?

And I"M the stupid one in your little scenario?

Whose giving the defense a free pass? I complained about them too you know, are you suggesting your only allowed "one" compliant per game, sorry, that's not how I role, Tynes was terrible SO WAS OUR Defense, if Tynes makes the FG earlier it doesn't go to OT, if the defense holds them it doesn't go to OT...both parties are responsible.

I knew this guy and just saw him like 5 days ago. Life is so precious. Hug your wife, girlfriends and kids if you got em. I love all you people...

Deputies arrested a man on negligent homicide charges after he allegedly backed over and killed another man with his car in Eagle Mountain Saturday.

According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, a family was having a get together Saturday night when two people started arguing.

My neighbor tried to give him CPR but he was not responding," he said. "For a few minutes they tried and tried. It just looked like he was dead."

The victim -- 29-year-old Brett Ostler of Magna -- was visiting his sister at a house near 7000 North Kiowa Parkway (4000 East).

Deputies said Ostler's friend -- 26-year-old Eric Porter of North Salt Lake -- was also at the party. The two apparently got into an argument and it escalated inside someone's SUV.

I changed it at about 12:30. Just before the games. That was a +17 point decision. (I still would have won but it would have been much more stressful) This is the first time in a long while that I have nothing riding on the Monday night game.

Sometimes when you win, you really lose, and sometimes when you lose,

I'd have no problem with a 14 person league, I've played in 14 and 16 people league, the more people the more fun it is IMHO...

when you end up starting guys like Mike Wallace and Kenny Britt you know your in a "Real" league....

the deeper the league the more knowledge comes into effect and it's less about luck.

They're definitely up there too, but I feel like Favre has brought them to another level completely...and not just on offense. Along with the incredible year he's having, I feel like he's brought a profound sense of camaraderie and confidence to the city of Minnesota as a whole, not just the team. That is what defines the MVP to me.

AND he only has 3 INT's to go along with 21 TD's and a 112.1 RTG

I did a double take on that stat when I read it.

Moreno finally gave Marshall a two-handed shove to get away.
