Morehead, are you upset that Oliver Stone is a convincing movie maker? That doesnt make sense to me. If we are already know that what he is protraying is "lies", then what's the problem?
If you are upset that people believe it, well....let's put that in persepective. Those ppl are stupid, so who cares?
All movies are fiction, even the ones "based" on true stories, sooooo I guess what I'm getting at is that youre buttsore over entertainement =P
Is it that you think he wasgiving the country a bad name? Politicians do a good enough job of that without help from directors lol

JFK doesn't presume to be fiction. It forwards a theory that the President of the United States was murdered by our government. It suggests that half the Dallas Police Dept., countless private citizens and the Military were all in on it.

Its based on no facts.

Stone is a guy who hates our country. He hates the military (Platoon). He hates the government (JFK). He hated Nixon and all conservatives (Nixon). He hatescapitalism (Wall Street).

He's a piece of ****, and I will yell it fromevery mountaintop every time he comes out with a new film.

Don't call any body anti-american for using freedom of speech. Is it so crazy to think that our government is corrupt? And if he doesn't like conservatives, that doesn't make him anti-american. Haven't you stated before that you hate liberals?

well I guess I shouldnt mention that I'm not a fan of our military, government, or conservatives either, eh?
Not saying im not grateful for what I have.....but im not an outspoken person, nor do I feel I have it bad.
I sympathize with our troops because I bet 95% of them dont want to be where they are, or doing what they are doing......

But, its movies....just like television...you dont like it, you dont watch it. Cool concept! lol

Its got nothing to do with Republicans and Democrats. I used that as an example of who he hates.

My two step daughters are liberal Democrats and I love them very much. I have no problems with American Liberals. Especially the great old time liberals like Hubert Humphrey and Tip O'Neil.

The American debate is always a balance of the need to grow and progress (Liberal view) and the need to also hold on to those basic principles that have always made us great. (Conservative view)

The balance between the two has always helped to move our country forward, while holding on to those things that make use uniquely American.

Guys like Stone are pure haters. They allow no room for opposing thought, and corrupt the ongoing national dialog.

And its that dialog, and the concensus that comes from it, that has made us the great counrty we are.

believe it or not, there hav ebeen soldiers that look like murderes and rapists.... and to be honest talking to some of my boys (who didn't serve together) but that have gotten back from Iraq and Afghanistan, there still are.

I don't think any of us could have an outside looking in view and try to understand it and say this isn't true. I have a friend that unfortunately has told me stories that have had similiarities to basic points from platoon.

Its a ****in movie.. who gives a ****... its entertainment. If you don't want to watch it, then don't...

its his beliefs, who gives a ****... was it entertaining? Then it served its purpose

nobody is disrespecting thoes that fight for ol glory.

But lets be honest, its not really a big pride thing for alot of them too, its means to a better life if they can survive it. I got rejected from the Marines after taking ASVAPS and physicals and **** because of my vision, i was very much in there with recruits and talking with them.

Moorehead your giving a company line. Im sure there are true soldiers that do it because they believ ein something larger than themselves, but i would bet there more the exception than the rule.

And its that dialog, and the concensus that comes from it, that has made us the great counrty we are.

well all I have to say to that is if thats how you really feel you should be ****in at the throat of those representing that Republican party in todays congress because they are voting against bills just to stop progress of this president. Nothing is more destructive than those with power in this country throwing a tantrum....

I think his policies would have ruined the country if we didn't take matters in our own hands here in MA. His problem was that he defied the lessons of history by thinking he could jam a set of policies down the throats of the country on strickly a partisan effort.

The best thing that happened to him was that MA election. His language has already softened quite a bit, especially on the matter of fiscal discipline. And the country will be better off for it.

He's a piece of ****, and I will yell it fromevery mountaintop every time he comes out with a new film.

the man hates our country because he voices his use of freedom of speech to say whatever hes thinking, crazy or sane you sound like a stereotypical republican right now moorehead...

Don't call any body anti-american for using freedom of speech. Is it so crazy to think that our government is corrupt? And if he doesn't like conservatives, that doesn't make him anti-american. Haven't you stated before that you hate liberals?

And its that dialog, and the concensus that comes from it, that has made us the great counrty we are.

well all I have to say to that is if thats how you really feel you should be ****in at the throat of those representing that Republican party in todays congress because they are voting against bills just to stop progress of this president. Nothing is more destructive than those with power in this country throwing a tantrum....

If you take away the ONE single game he had vs Philly when he had 7 sacks, how does his numbers look overall?

like someone you were probably knob-slobbin 2-3 years ago saying he was the best.

It's one bad season. I hate how people are ready to sacrifice a player for that.
Yet we still had like4 LBs for the past 3 years that nobody seems to remember that they are useless.
Why dont you all just take it easy. remember in the offseason, we were all like "omg we are gonna have the nastiest defense EVER!".....ok so it didnt work out that way....we got ****ed with injuries. Dont cry that the sky is falling so soon.

well when your making movies that make our soldiers look like murderers and rapist, yes it is bit anti american. just saying....

Dude, are you kidding me, there are a TON of ****ED UP PPL who join the military, and you know vietnam made them worse.
I refuse to beleive that what he did in Platoon, didnt happen somewhere. So what if he displayed a tiny sample size of soldiers in that time....

While we are on the topic....I dont feel like I should give ppl additional respect for being in the military. I respect most ppl anyway until they do something to show me otherwise....

but you voluntarily went into the military right? So you made a choice, so by default youre better than the rest of us who didnt want to go into the military? You meet some of these soldiers, and it's like they want you to blow them for being a marine, or whatever branch they are in....
Now when you are DRAFTED thats a different story. Which is why I think there WERE ****ed up ppl in the military back then....cuz they didnt screen them like they do now. So when you go somewhere agaisnt your will, come back in one piece, yes....you absolutely deserve my respect, and most likely special treatment for your service.

I'm 26 years old and still feel the same way I have since I was younger. Ihave had numerous family members in the military in different generations, in fact I have a cousin who is still in Iraq who I pray for every day. He's a tough kid, a roughneck if you will....thickskinned italian guy whos taken his fair share of bumps bruises punches and the like....and when you ask him about how things are going when hes on leave.....he to this day will tell you it was the worst decision of his life, and he cant wait to get out. He's a marksman/sniper in the marines. He has told me, more than once, that he KNOWS hes had to kill people who have most likely done nothing. Just wrong place wrong time.....and whats he supposed to do about it? youre told to do something, you do it , right? How the **** do you live with yourself knowing that?? And it's not his fault, and that infuriates me. And he seems ok right now, but, I fear for him, cuz it has to takes its toll on you

ok enough of my rant. I should go grab a smoke =O

Lets talk about dishonesty in terms of politics... how bout the claims that Obama is ruining this country...

Republicans have shown NOTHING but dishonesty in that comment. Did this country just go down the ****ter in the past year or so? **** no!

It has more to do with big moneys personal pockets than anything else and thats the truth of the matter.

For us to even be talking about problems of this country as how it relates to movies is really what the tragedy is.

And the country will be better off for it.

how so?

I see a general point of "lets stop the bull**** and personal agendas and do whats right for this country"...

The way Obama went after the Supreme Court still makes me smile.. im convinced that they are corrupt now that they passed that law about big business being able to fund political campaigns

All the Supreme Court did in that ruling was strike down 1 small provision of the McCain- Fiengold Reform bill. That provision banned speach by any individual or group prior to an election. The supreme Court said that banning of that speach is a violation of the 1st ammenment.

And the country will be better off for it.

how so?

I see a general point of "lets stop the bull**** and personal agendas and do whats right for this country"...

The way Obama went after the Supreme Court still makes me smile.. im convinced that they are corrupt now that they passed that law about big business being able to fund political campaigns

Matt...I love you but you have no idea what that Supreme Court ruling was. No corporation is allowed to give money to any candidate. That was true both before and after the SC ruling. All the Supreme Court did in that ruling was strike down 1 small provision of the McCain- Fiengold Reform bill. That provision banned speach by any individual or group prior to an election. The supreme Court said that banning of that speach is a violation of the 1st ammenment.

This ruling allows a person, Labor Union or corporation to speak about any topic (including elections, without limit.

Its called free speech.

Don't down play it as one small provision.

This provision DOES allow funding of a campaign now.

ANd its a joke because the Constitution isn't meant for companies, its meant for man. Lets just say for 2012 its Obama vs Palin. Palin is in favor of giving huge tax breaks to pharamcuetical companies while OBama is killing them, that means Pfizer can go throw 200mil in advertizements and say whatever they please to downgrade OBama while posting up Palin...

The LAST thing this country needs is an enabler for more corrpution, which is what this Superme Court did and quite frankly I think the integrity of the court is now in question. A move like this has NEVER been done in the history of governement. The constitution does not recognize big corporations.

This doesn't require a $1 trillion, 2500 page bill. It requires increased competition among insurance companies, (some states only allow a few IC's to compete in their state) it requires tort reform which will reduce the huge malpractice insurancepayments doctors make, (passed on to us) and needless repetetive tests. It requires a fund created to assist those who can't afford basic insurance, and for those with pre existing conditions.

And the country will be better off for it.

Americans have always been allowed to speak with a collective voice if they choose. Now, I have no problem with the government passing laws which require that shareowners MUST approve any public statements regarding elections. That would stop harrassing speech.

But ultimately a corporation, or a labor union ARE a collection of people. And people ARE allowed free speech. By the way, corporations were already allowed to speak in any other venue other than an election. And it political speech that is the most important to protect.

Moorehead, I just don't know what to say to you if you don't see the path thats been paved with this

He's a piece of ****, and I will yell it fromevery mountaintop every time he comes out with a new film.

the man hates our country because he voices his use of freedom of speech to say whatever hes thinking, crazy or sane you sound like a stereotypical republican right now moorehead...

Don't call any body anti-american for using freedom of speech. Is it so crazy to think that our government is corrupt? And if he doesn't like conservatives, that doesn't make him anti-american. Haven't you stated before that you hate liberals?

And its that dialog, and the concensus that comes from it, that has made us the great counrty we are.

well all I have to say to that is if thats how you really feel you should be ****in at the throat of those representing that Republican party in todays congress because they are voting against bills just to stop progress of this president. Nothing is more destructive than those with power in this country throwing a tantrum....

Lets talk respect. STate of the Union? Those guys should have their positions taken from them for the treatment they are giving him. Literal LOL'ing? Theres far worse unpatriotic things going on in this country than movies... how bout those actually in the seats of running our country.

Didn't you say that you couldn't afford health insurance?

If thats true, the Republicans blocked a HC bill that would have forced you to buy health insurance from a private health insurance company (without a cheaper public option) or you would have faced a stiff fine.

Maybe you should thank them. They believe that an American has the right to decide whether or not they want to have and pay for Health Insurance.

I think with all the help we have around the world we should help our people. Nationalized Healthcare is perfect, the typical small business can't afford healthcare, millions of people and kids don't evne have health care (actually jersey passed a bill, free healthcare for kids under 18 which is great). Republicans have been holding up bills on personal agendas...

I forget what the bill was but a week before STate of the Union, 8 Republicans who were all for something, changed last minute to hold up a bill being put thru. **** like that is the most unpatriotic thing that could happen for this country. PErsonal agendas effecting every day lives.

The general idea of nationalized heathcare is great. The pool would be so big that the rates would be smalled while also forcing big insurance companies to lower rates to stay in competition

What you just described was not even close to the bill that passed the Senate.

not saying it was. I do agree that there hasn't been a healthcare bill brought up that really fits the criteria yet.

But i just find it doubtful that the Republicans will even vote for it when it does come through....

We need healthcare reform that controls cost, and allows people who can't afford it, HC coverage.

The real cost in HC is not HC insurance. Its the cost of Health Care in general.

It doesn't require a submission of our freedom to live our lives as we choose. That is a basic value that has made us great for 230 years.

this country needs a change moorehead... the average man is getting ****ed every day in every way... the numbers aren't adding up.

I think Lando is who u were referring to about not having Health Care, its a ****in disgusting shame that this country and get it together on this. If even the threat of National Heathcare will move some rocks, then im all for it.

Its unaffordable privately, publically it could be more beneficial. Not only that it will generate money period, money would be moving around and around....

then we legalize pot and the countries out of a recession... put me as president

I don't care about pot. But public health care for all, run by the government representing 300 million people is far more innefficient than what we have now.

We do need change. We need common sense change. Change that makes our country stronger. Not change that takes power away from the people and gives it to the State.

Well I guess this is where we differ... the power isn't with the people currently thats an illusion...

Big Company is in power now and if you think thats any different than the government controlling it ur crazy.

And were in this right now because Big Company/The People couldn't do a satisfactory job. For a guy like Lando to not be bale to have insurance cuz he can't afford it, says it all to me

C) THE HOLY GRAIL....Erin McNish, aka "Kristin"....dude google it, the story behind it is just as good as the video itself! Apparently this girl had JUST turned 18, and on her birthday, she did one of those "exploited teens" videos.....all types of drama surrounding it...so much in fact that it was pretty much taken off the internet...but some sites saved it, and i got my hands on it. i feel special.

as far as I remember from teh story, she only did the one video, and after seeing the guy who she did the movie with for a few years, she married, and had kids with him lol. she was only a HOOOAAA for actually MAKING the video in my eyes lol

I guess so...rather keep hush than make a fool of myself. lol

I like Osi alot, but it seems his head is getting too big for NY. He seems like the last primadonna on our team. It has not ended well for the other ones. I would love to see him stay but if he went I really wouldn't care either. Just seems like he has had a bad taste in his mouth ever since they put him on IR 2 years ago and he thought he could have played in the playoffs.

A high energy beam scanner, called a scanning electron micrograph, was
used to capture this image, which shows the surface of a human tongue.
The protruding objects, called filiform papillae, can sense
pressure. The flaky appearance of the papillae results from the fact
that they are constantly shedding their skin to increase sensitivity.

Linda Strausbaugh, a University of Connecticut molecular and cell
biology professor, has made a remarkable discovery. Since World War II,
this skull — held in the Russian national archives — was believed to be
that of Adolf Hitler, found in Germany after his death.

Strausbaugh
used bone fragments from the skull to perform DNA tests that showed the
skull was from a woman and could not have been Hitler's. The photograph
was taken by Nicholas Bellantoni, an anthology professor at UConn who
also works with Connecticut State Museum of Natural History and is the
state archeologist.

Brandon Jacobs suffered through a miserable 2009 season, but the
Giants running back learned a valuable lesson from the experience.

“Not to play hurt,” Jacobs said yesterday at the Super Bowl media
center. “If something happens to you, go and get it taken care of, no
matter what it is. Because things aren’t going to get better.”

acobs had surgery on the knee (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/2009/12/30/2009-12-30_new_york_giants_running_back_brandon_jacobs_sea son_over_will_undergo_.html)to
repair the torn meniscus cartilage, and said “Everything feels good.”
But in hindsight, he said, he should’ve had the surgery during the
season. Then maybe he would’ve been himself later in the year.

“I would’ve got it done Week 1 and missed four or five weeks and came back and played,” Jacobs said while promoting Under Armour’s underwear line (http://www.underarmour.com/)
on Radio Row at the Super Bowl media center. “As the year went on I
thought it was going to get better. But when I figured out it wasn’t
going to get better, it was too late. So I just kept going.”

The decision to do that, Jacobs said, was his alone.

“I just kept going on it,” he said. “I have to put it all on myself. No one else but me. I did it.”
The
good news, Jacobs said, is that he didn’t do any permanent damage by
continuing to play and he said his knee “is not going to be a lingering
issue.” He said he’s “in no rush to run or do anything” and wouldn’t
divulge the timetable for his recovery. “We just got to let it heal,”
he said

.“Right, but you know, I’m not one to make those excuses and
blame my non-success on injury,” he said. “That’s never been me. You
guys know that. I’ve never made excuses for anything.”

http://nicekicks.com/files/2009/12/bruce-0.jpg (http://nicekicks.com/2009/12/nike-zoom-kobe-v-bruce-lee/)

As we’ve reported, the Nike Zoom Kobe V will initially release on December 25th through the NikeiD program. In 2010, however, the Kobe V will begin to release in Nike (http://nicekicks.com/2009/12/nike-zoom-kobe-v-bruce-lee/#) constructed color-ups.

One such color-up is this Bruce Lee edition. Nike created this look
for the V to assuage Kobe’s affinity for Kung Fu. The yellow upper and
laces allude to the yellow bodysuit Bruce Lee wore in “The Game of
Death” and is, of course, fitting for the Lakers. There are also four
red scratch marks on the lateral toe area. These marks duplicate the
scratches Bruce Lee took while fighting in “Enter the Dragon”.

The Bruce Lee Kobe Vs will be a Spring/Summer 2010 global release.
They are, however, available now at select spots across the nation for
a hefty price. Click here (http://nicekicks.com/2009/12/nike-zoom-kobe-v-bruce-lee/) to view additional photos.
