doubt it....hes overthrowing wrs by 5 yards.......unless kolb is sucking dong and the eagles are forced to put him out there well just see him for wildcat, either way he wont have a positive impact....i enjoy watching his career slowly die.

Kolb looks like he might enjoy dong....never know....</P>

you should totally hang out with him!</P>

hey, i dont know if it happened today or yesterday, but the Rams cut Bulger, so do you think they'll draft Bradford?!?

thats the what they are saying now...

I heard Jags are gonna take McClain if he falls to them

As long as Jack Del Rio is coach they always go defense first.

This makes no sense; the Jags are in need of offensive weapons besides Maurice Jones-Drew

defense wins championships kinda guy

defense does win championships.

But no one is scared of the Jags defense. And you have to put up some points. Unless they think Maurice Jones Drew can handle majority of the offense every season

I was thinking the same thing. He is a respectable coach I will give him that. But it is time to address that offense of his.

pretty bad... but they actually have weapons. Sims Walker is legit.

Garrard is just putrid. I NEVER understood why they were so high on him. Or why they are still relying on him

yea its bad...like, remember the year he threw like NO picks...either 06 or 07, forget what year....well they limped to a wildcard that year and got wrecked. terrible team. they need 1 more WR and a gunslinger and they could do some work maybe. How's their O-line....not that i REALLY care, but it's good conversation lol =]</P>

they are average. They have Eugene Monroe who they drafted high in the 1st round at tackle.

And drafted Eben Britton in the 2nd round as the other tackle. I expect them to both start this season.

like, most GOOD QBs still make mistakes, but usually can offset them by playing very well....</P>

"I'm sorry that my friend Mark continues to whine about his running
the Brewers," Levine President of the Yankees told ESPNNewYork.com in a phone interview Tuesday
morning. "We play by all the rules and there doesn't seem to be any
complaints when teams such as the Brewers receive hundreds of millions
of dollars that they get from us in revenue sharing the last few years.
Take some of that money that you get from us and use that to sign your
players.</p>

"The question that should be asked is: Where has
the hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue sharing gone?"</p>

The
Yankees' payroll is expected to be about $200 million this year; the
Brewers' will be in the $80 million range.</p>

Levine made his
comments in reaction to an Attanasio quote in a USA Today story about
the average salaries of this year's players. Attanasio -- as he has done
before -- made sure to mention the discrepancy in how much the Yankees
spend on players in comparison to other teams.</p>

"We're
struggling to sign [Fielder] and the Yankees infield is making more than
our team," Attanasio told the paper.</p>

The Yankees infield
will make $85.225 million this year. Third baseman <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=3115">Alex
Rodriguez</a> will make $33 million, which is slightly less than the
Pirates' whole payroll of nearly $35 million. </p>

</P>

The Yankees have the most money because they are in the biggest market, because they started their own network, because they have marketed themselves very well. They deserve all the income they have. Thats not the problem.</P>

I don't blame the Yankees formaking themoney they do. I blame them for relying on the checkbook so much to build a team. They are ruining the game for themselves as well as everyone else. </P>

When teams like Pittsburgh and KC start every season with no chance, everyone takes the hit. no one will want to come and see the Yankees play an intersquad game. The Yankees success is contigient on the success of the entire league....all franchises. </P>

Without that, in the long run, the entire league, including the Yankees will be out of business.</P>

Thats why it was so good to see Joe Mauer sign back with Minn. The talent should be spread out throughout the league, not just in a few cities. And that includes Boston.</P>

NY and Boston will make more $$$ because they have great markets and sell themselves in those markets. They deserve the income. but the players can't all be concentrated on those two teams.</P>

The Steinbrenner clan makes bank, no doubt....but would they rather pay into the team than into their own pocket? of course!! Winning every year is second priority to NOTHING!!

Why do you think the league now closely monitors who is trying to buy available teams?!?! so this bullsh*t doesnt happen anymore! Owners buy crappy teams, suck them dry, and everyone wonders why they repeatedly fail!

I think the biggest joke is the Marlins. they dont even have their own stadium, COMPLETELY RIP OFF their players with rookie contracts, release them when they are on pace to make too much, and are the bottom of the salary list every year. That team should have 5 rings by now if you ask me....they get the talent, and then let it waste away.

Other teams do this EXACT same thing....it's sad really.</P>

That is all irrelevant.

No other team in the league has their own network right?

Everyone knows the Yanks have more money than everyone else, Baseball needs a cap.

I think if that was the case it would bring more fans to the game. There is a reason everyone hates the Yankees.

The Yanks have so much money because of their network no?
</P>

</P>

props to minny opening up the wallet to mauer...</P>

every other team should follow suit. The yankees bring up their own talent too though, and I THINK you were alluding to that. however, if an opportunity arrises to improve the team with young talent by trading prospects, they arent afraid to pull the trigger. Granderson is a good example of that....i was kinda upset they traded Austin Jackson in that deal, but I really cant complain cuz Granderson is a proven commodity for a player who has played for abt 5 seasons. I dont know.....the Yankees were A) lucky and B) destined for awesomeness. Like you said, youre in NY...and becasue of that, you have the following of millions for a hundred years. You start winning, and it only gets better. thats the lucky part, and it goes before the 90s....you all know that though. </P>

Thats such a ridiculous statement because when we had our run in the
90s it was all homegrown. The game is being ruined by the fact that
these owners aren't ponying up the money in the smaller markets

Those teams do have the same chance that the yankees do. Marlins, DBacks, and Tampa are all teams that have made the WS and only TB lost. It can be done, its such a cop out.

The point is that KC can take some of the money they get for free and spend invest it in their team... its not happening. Thats where the real issue lies

Exactly. I could not agree more. I could care less, I watch the playoffs and that is about it. Honestly it could be the reason I never picked a team deep down. Who knows? A cap would be best. God forbid the NFL can't get the cap back.

The reason the NFL is so successful is that there is competitive balance ON THE FIELD.</P>

Some teams make more money than others, but each team has the same chance to win on the field.</P>

The inbalance in MLB will kill the league down the road. You will see contraction which will reduce the interest in baseball. Eventually you will see only huge markets who can field a team. </P>

Its baseball slowely killing itself. Its like the frog analogy. If you throw a frog in boiling water he will jump out. If you place a frog in cold water and slowely boil the watet, he will stay in and boil to death.</P>

Brooklyn, New York (VBS.TV (http://www.vbs.tv/newsroom)) -- We had heard about a drug in Colombia
that essentially eliminates free-will in humans. It is called
scopolamine and it seemed to us to be so completely out there--like a
plot device in an awful Jack Black movie. In fact, it sounded so
horrible and strange that we wanted to go down and try it out. So the
producers and I compiled a laundry list of embarrassing chores for me to
complete while under the influence and, chuckling hysterically to
ourselves, got on a plane and headed for Bogota, Colombia.</p>

Once
we landed in the Colombian capital, it took all of about 60 minutes to
realize there wasn't going to be any more laughing. The fear that the
mere mention of scopolamine struck in the locals was palpable and
startling. As we dug deeper into this drug's story, following the
evolution of the plant and its uses, we began to appreciate the gravity
of ingesting it. And we became fearful.</p>

We heard harrowing tales
from victims and perpetrators alike, sat with prostitutes who calmly
explained administering the drug to unsuspecting johns, and visited the
home of a man who confessed in chilling detail to murdering someone who
had dosed him with the drug. It was difficult to believe at times, but
we spoke to countless law enforcement officials and medical
professionals who verified all that we'd heard, and who also expressed
their frustration and fear with what they saw as a growing problem.</p>

<font color="#0000ff">This is really scary to me. What the **** is coming next? Then they do stories like this and people get interested and want to do it and then what...</font>

Exactly. I could not agree more. I could care less, I watch the playoffs and that is about it. Honestly it could be the reason I never picked a team deep down. Who knows? A cap would be best. God forbid the NFL can't get the cap back.

SAVE BASEBALL!!!

P.S. The kid on the Braves is supposed to be the next Jesus. Good work on that guy...
so because fans are sore losers the mlb should issue a cap?

no i dont because other then the yanks winning last year and boston winning 2 years this decade makes up for only 3 ws. 7 other teams won ws.....your not convincing me that the yankees and the redsox are killing baseball with over spending. and if fans are losing interest, thats on the franchise
</P>

Baseball is slowely boiling itself to death. And short sighted, large market owners are turning up the stove.</P>

kansas city, oakland, jacksonville, houstin suck year in and year out man, now it looks like rams and seattle are joining the list as well. your making it seem like every divisions like the nfc east.
</P>

All those teams have the opportunity to get better. Houston is on the verge of being really good. Its about coaching, player personel people and players. Each team has the exact same access to players.</P>

Not true in baseball. Many small market teams have to trade players when they have developed and then start over. Roy Halliday had to be traded because the Jays couldn't pay him.</P>

</P>

I'd argue that the REAL problem in baseball is there is less exclusiveness than there was years ago. Every team has 3 "A League" teams, and 1 or more farm teams.
A player gets drafted, and could remain anywhere in a minor league system for years! That doesnt happen in the NFL. So in baseball, its VERY eaesy to get lost in the system. You could quite honestly become a bargaining chip, get traded around, get cut, get picked up so on and so forth. Theres just too much money around. In my town we have a Tampa Rays farm team, and we've seen the likes of Josh Hamilton, Evan Longoria, James Shields, David Price, and Andy Sonnanstine get moved up.....THATS IT...those are the only pros we've seen, and we've had the Renegades in town for OVER15 years. lol
There are too many players in the minors, so when a team needs to improve, they can just trade minor leaguers if they want. Other teams either DONT make the moves, and sit on their farm talent(nothing wrong with that) or they hoard the money to themselves and pay the cheap contracts to the players they promote to the pros. If teams were FORCED to field the best team, and pay deserving contracts to stay competitive, owners wouldnt be ruining the game of baseball. Go look at yesterdays news! Players union is looking to possibly bring ANOTHER case to investigate owner collusion for the 2009-10 free agent market. It's happened AT LEAST 5 times before....nobody is spending the money, and it's shady.</P>

Meanwhile, we're going like 80 mph, and i could have easily flipped my car if he hit me into the guard rail or anything...
**** was scary.....and to think...i was going to a wedding near cape cod....i didnt even want to go to boston not to mention wasnt really near it yet
**** BOSTON! **** mASSachuesets, **** M*******Sand **** BOSTON AGAIN!</P>

Its actually funny to read you guys point ofthinking on the Yanks, and then watch you guys bash the clowns in Dallas and Washington......lol.</P>

The only thing that will save baseball is a cap and MLB cleaning up its act instead of turning a blind eye to the players boosting.....</P>

<FONT color=#0000ff>People who are not Yanks and Sox fans really have lost interest for the most part...</FONT>MH is right, it will only benefit you guys in the long run..............</P>

Im out....i luv yas all.....</P>

Peace.</P>

</P>

I'm surprised you don't get the point.</P>

no i dont because other then the yanks winning last year and boston winning 2 years this decade makes up for only 3 ws. 7 other teams won ws.....your not convincing me that the yankees and the redsox are killing baseball with over spending. and if fans are losing interest, thats on the franchise
</P>

</P>

All those teams have the opportunity to get better. Houston is on the verge of being really good. Its about coaching, player personel people and players. Each team has the exact same access to players.</P>

Not true in baseball. Many small market teams have to trade players when they have developed and then start over. Roy Halliday had to be traded because the Jays couldn't pay him.</P>

uhh TO is not a small market, they are just cheap!! theres a difference. </P>

and its Halladay, so there</P>as much **** as give you for being a jays fan i have give you props for putting up with it..

about 2 years ago my friend jay(pretty big dude) was talking mad **** before an eagle vs giant game to an eagles fan who was with another eagle fan and his girlfriend. they were throwing a football and my friend jay turned to the side. with that the eagle fan thought hed be slick by throwing the football at jay as hard as he could nailing jay in the neck. lol it was like out of a movie. about 5 of us turn in slow motion and simultaneously start running at them. lmao they started running and jay caught the kid that threw the ball. his gf yelling dont hurt him. lol he immediatly dropped to the ground and jay gave him like 4 shots to the head/face. wasnt TOO bad. but he ripped his dawkins jersery off, walked back to our tailgate with him following us " give my jersey back man" holds it above his grill, smiles at him, and drops it on the grill. cops come and jay now has a huge welt on the side of his neck, told the cops "this drunk idiot comes over here talking ****, throws a football at me and then tried fighting me".lol ALLLLLLL the giant fans around us started"vouching" thats what really happened. good thing we put the grill away because the game was about to start. 4pm games always get crazy lmao most epic tailgate ever!

But seriously......i hate nothing more than boston and it's fans......cept pats fans....they dont really bother me. if they were NFCeast though, i might chokea***** =P</p>

yea as much as i love baseball and the yanks, football and the nygiants are my baby.

about 2 years ago my friend jay(pretty big dude) was talking mad **** before an eagle vs giant game to an eagles fan who was with another eagle fan and his girlfriend. they were throwing a football and my friend jay turned to the side. with that the eagle fan thought hed be slick by throwing the football at jay as hard as he could nailing jay in the neck. lol it was like out of a movie. about 5 of us turn in slow motion and simultaneously start running at them. lmao they started running and jay caught the kid that threw the ball. his gf yelling dont hurt him. lol he immediatly dropped to the ground and jay gave him like 4 shots to the head/face. wasnt TOO bad. but he ripped his dawkins jersery off, walked back to our tailgate with him following us " give my jersey back man" holds it above his grill, smiles at him, and drops it on the grill. cops come and jay now has a huge welt on the side of his neck, told the cops "this drunk idiot comes over here talking ****, throws a football at me and then tried fighting me".lol ALLLLLLL the giant fans around us started"vouching" thats what really happened. good thing we put the grill away because the game was about to start. 4pm games always get crazy lmao most epic tailgate ever!

yea man i dont know. maybe this incident is what did it for me.
</p> I dont LIKE to fight....but once you get me to that point, it's like all I want to do. fighting over sports is even MORE ridiculous than fighting cuz some guy bumped into your brother at a bar(****, i've gotten into AT LEAST 10 fights because of my brother's beer muscles lol).....i dont WANT to do it...but make it sound like YOU want to, and i'll gladly RUMMMBBBBLLLLEEEE! hahahaexxaaaaactly. fighting is just dumb but once im in that zone i dont give a **** ill try and take on lando if need be and get my *** kicked and ask for seconds. im a moron when im at that point. growing up my cousins always beat the **** out of me and id always have a smirk on my face in the heat of the moment, drove them nuts, lol i gave them some back too of course. were all tight as hell now. but i would LOVE a brother. my own tag team, wed WRECK ****. lol
i told you guys about those twins i know that are sleeping with eachothers gfs behind eachothers backs right? lol i wouldnt want a bro like that

Funny story about Hip Hop and sports (Dezzy will like this)..... So me and a few of my buddies were at a Jedi Mind Tricks/ RA Tha Rugged show and in the middle of the Jedi set, before a song, Vinnie Paz says something along the lines of 'How bout dem Iggles daddy!?!?' so the crowd starts Booing and stuff so I (in my Strahan jersey) move closer to the stage (within clear view of Vinnie Paz) and me and my buddies start a 'Lets Go Giants' and it catches on like wildfire!!!!!..... He eventually started laughing and said 'Damn I guess it IS a Giants town' and then went back 2 the music

..... It was GREAT!!!!!

We also saw at the show in the crowd and chilled for a minute with DJ Eclipse from Non Phixion if any of you Hip Heads know bout that..... I got a funny story bout Non Phixion but Ill save that for another Kase-1 Story Hour

yea i mean it IS cool I guess, but like I said, its not like either of us want to fight ever really....just kinda happens and we wreck ****. lol
funny thing is, me and my brother never really fought each other. I was always alot bigger than him and he didnt really "grow" until high school. The only time we fought, i almost ****ing killed him. we were messing around at the beach house, and he chucked one of those big wood paddles that you play paddle ball with, thing has some weight to it, he hit me right in the side of the knee, and i chased him into the house, wound up and socked him RIGHT in the eye....my uncle proceeded to beat the piss out of me. lol</P>

going nowhere. "It's just something I always did," Lincecum said. "In

how bout Pettitte last night!?!? 6 strong!!! always good to see him have good games</p>andy looked great last night. so did ching mow or how or whatever. having a former starter like him in the pen that can go more then 2 innings if we need is is faaaantastic. plus hes got 4 good pitches

gardenhosa will have 50 plus steals this season.

i take back my nick johnson hatred. his got a real good eye at the plate
granderson is a G, he crushed that shot. anyone that wipes that stupid puss off that puss(paplebon) is the man in my book. hes a lot taller then i thought too, which is wierd cause iv seen him play before....

cano and swish still need to learn how to work the pitch count

So far, so good for Robinson Cano (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/3880),
whose discipline at the dish is paying off early in his tenure as a No. 5
hitter in 2010. Installing Cano as the No. 5 hitter was, as Girardi
said in mid-March, a natural part of his development. The Yankees (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/42)
felt that Cano, at 27 years old, was ready to handle more
responsibility in a prime run-producing spot between Alex Rodriguez (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/3153)
and Jorge Posada (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/3192),
especially in the wake of Hideki Matsui (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/3658)'s
departure. Even though he was superb last year -- .320, 25 homers, 85
runs batted in -- Cano batted .207 with runners in scoring position, the
second-worst average among the 106 players who had at least 150 plate
appearances in that situation.

If Bard doesn't throw a 91 MPH change in the strike zone to a guy who was late on every swing, the Sox win 1-0. I can see throwing a change off the plate to set up a fastball on the next pitch, but you can't be anywhere near the strike zone on that pitch.</P>

It was a mental mistake that cost the Sox the game.</P>

have we been watching the same V.Martinez?? They wouldnt be able to throw anyone out regardless, so they may as well take Martinez's offensive numbers than have Vari***** batting 200 and not being able to run out singles.</P>

all boston's starting pitchers pitched good games(which I expected cuz their starters are their strong point this year), where some fell apart at the end of their appearance, the RPs usually need more discipline. I dont think the C is going to hurt them.</P>

It kinda stinks that I can't watch more of the day games and out of network stuff. I'd really like to see the Mariners, and the Giants and a few other teams play. I LOVE BASEBALL!!! Butttt im stuck at work, and theres only the stupid mets on when the Yanks dont play =\
