I am with Morehead on the fact that this is America and we all have a right to practice our religion. The greatest boxer of all time is a perfect example of what the religion should be. These extremists give everyone else a bad name.

That said...

There is no ****ing way they should build that there. It is wrong on so many levels. I can't even think of an analogy that would be good enough.

And another thing those ****ing doors that lock as soon as you put it in drive...I keep some tools in my pickup behind the seat... I don't know how many times I'vgone to the passengur side door to find it locked.. then you got to go around put the key in the iguniction to unlock the door...or you got the dog with yaand you make a quick stop at the store ..leave the truck running..it may be hot or cold out you want the dog to be comfortable...but he some how hits the lock door button...the trick here is to get him to step on that button again...lol...I won't have another one with all that ****...I'm done .lol

I'm sorry but I've been away for several hours.

In reference to the building of a Islamic Cultural Center 2 blocks (over 500 feet) from the WTC site. How far is far enough? 1000 feet? 1 mile?.

May I remind you all that the Olympic Park bomber used a skewed version of Chritianity to justify his detonating a bomb in a crowded park. Should a Baptist Church be banned from being built within several blocks of that location?

I'm a conservative, therefor I believe in individual liberty and the right of people to live their lives as they see fit without the fear of their government. My position is consistent with that. The views of Newt Gingridge, Sarah Palin and Sean Hannity seem to be consistent with many of you.

I'm a conservative and I also believe in individual liberty, that said, I will not argue against the legality of this, (because clearly it is legal) but I have to say public safety should be considered, when 70% or more of the population is against something, even if the government has no right to interfere...you have to expect that something bad is going to happen there if nothing is done.

I find many flaws in all the talk show hosts views, whether they are supposedly conservative or not, and I have to agree that this particular topic is not as important as many of the others they could be using in the political battle that is currently being waged, but now that this has been politicized....I have to say.

it rubs me the wrong way, maybe it's cause I'm from here, maybe it's because I know people who were in the towers when they feel....but knowing full well that they are building this mosque specifically to piss people off, I'm against it.

It's name is infuriating, it symbolizes their victory over the infidel ( the US)
It's too big, for no reason as there is a very small Muslim population in that area.
and while 500 feet may seem like a long distance Morehead, the building they are knocking down to erect this symbol of Islam defeating America had the landing gear from the plane that crashed into the WTC fall through it's roof.

this will really get you as well, The guy in charge this, Imam, Feisal Rauf, has been sent as part of an American Islamic outreach program on the tax payers, to go collect the funds needed for this Mosque (so called community center) how is that ok? meanwhile, they aren't letting a church that was destroyed during the 9/11 attacks rebuild.

Therein lies the loophole, if the building of this mosque threatens public safety then it can be denied, and I'm willing to bet it will threaten public safety.

that said I have to say, I "understand" Moreheads position on the topic, but I think it's a little to ideological, I agree that the laws and regulation of this land are what we should run the country by, but this is a bit too much, we should find some way to compromise, the law's and regulations are important, but so is the will of the people.

The Islamic center's leaders say they plan to build the $100 million,
13-story facility called Cordoba House two blocks from the site of the
9/11 attacks. El-Gamal has describe the project as an "Islamic
community center" that would include a 500-seat performing arts center, a lecture hall, a swimming pool, a gym, a culinary school, a restaurant and a prayer space for Muslims.

Pretty elaborate. It is not just a temple. It's a freaking complex. It's a resort location. They will consider it the motherland of the attack victory in some weird way.

simple question:

Why the **** would we not be sensitive to this situation?

Why the **** would we be over it?

We haven't even pulled our troops from the war in which was sparked from this specific situation

It's not about not being sensitive about it, it's about not following our laws and regulations, it's about showing weakness, if we deny this, then it shows to the Muslim community that we aren't ready to accept them, that's America's strength, the ability to accept anyone faults and all.

but in this case it's a lose/lose imho, if we turn it down, Muslims think we don't accept them, if we allow it to be built they use it as a monument of victory over America...either way they get something they want and we get something we don't....if that's the case I'd rather a misunderstanding then an everlasting monument.

Turns out that many Muslims are against the building of this mosque as well, so maybe it's not over yet.

Me to. I found this on Facebook. Apparently some people think tickets will go on sale to the public this Monday and if that happened it would be for the less attractive games...aka Detroit.

I thought somehow it might give us a way to all get together and buy tickets.

It also has very little to do with any one particular political party or specific group of ppl putting their footdown and being "oppressive" and saying "absolutely not, **** your religion".

I honestly don't know what exactly right when it comes to this islamic Community Center. I always defer to the greatness and strength of our republic. In my view, if they build this thing, it shows the world that we are better and stronger than our enemies.

Let me tell you what I do know. I know that I respect the views of my MB buddies on this but I respectfully disagree.

I know that I love my buddies MMB, Lando, Kase, Dezzz, Byron, Scrappy and Pizz, and anyone who either agrees or disagrees with me on this.

I don't live near Ground Zero like some of you do and I understand that my perspective is different.

This isn't something I have a ridiculously strong opinion on or anything. I dont consider myself a democrat, republican, conservative, liberal or anything for that matter. I'm J****inPizzack. lol
Anyway....
As I do believe in freedom of speech obviously, and freedom of religion blah blah blah(even tho i dont believe in organized relgion), I just feel this topic is in bad taste. It has very little to do with an Islamic group intentionally placing a mosque/community center our main reminder of the most horrific day in our county's short history....
It also has very little to do with any one particular political party or specific group of ppl putting their footdown and being "oppressive" and saying "absolutely not, **** your religion".
I feel the smartest thing I can say about this entire situation is....wrong place, wrong time
This is not a good time, and this is most def. not the right place....

Hope this makes sense.
I of course respect everyone's opinion on this, assuming it's not redneck hillbilly kill-em-all bull$h1t. but i havent seen any of that [;)]
I just never should have put my fingers to the keyboard...its the people of NY decision for me..good stuff guys...sorry I lost it.....last thing I want to see is the FED issuing building permits ;)

Our back up QB situation is a nightmare. The Sorgie signing made no sense. We could have signed Mark Bulger who would have been much more solid.

Sorgie was hurt when we signed him and was on IR all 2009. Sometimes I scratch my head with JR.

They tried him at backer but failed, he asked for LT's help. Now they are trying him at DE---to me he seems a bit undersized to play DE in a 3-4? I think he is about 250-255?

I just swallowed a pouch of Copenhagen with a swig of coke...that will teach me to try and do two things at once...I hope it doesn't piss anything off in there..... afternoon all ...well not all...good morning Landon...rounds 2/3 are where I'm a bit unsure as to what to do...of coarse it depends a lot on what people do but I have tried a few drafts where don't take a QB...and there hasn't been much left by the time I pickat 4...at any rate a 12 team league is more of a challenge...can't wait..guys

Hey Pappy, word of advice, it's not good to be TOO set in stone, you may preclude yourself from some quality value picks that others have let slip by because you think you need to draft "this or that" position by "this or that" round.

by the way, there is a 90% chance that my first round pick will NOT be a RB just to perk some interests :P (I have a feeling pappy already knew that)

No I get that. I just have a strong view about where the strength in some of the positions are in the draft. For instance, one might suggest the WR position is especially strong early on. I'm not talking about specific players, but I have a good idea of where guys will fall and where I can get them.

I'm not talking about specific players, but I have a good idea of where guys will fall and where I can get them.

But I do understand your point.

looks like gore might fall into your lap.

i won't draft him at 7

looks like youll have 2 of the 3 available

deangelo, steve jack, and gore

but idk, maybe you like a WR there.

I would draft Turner at 7 but not any of those other guys.

Totally forgot about Turner(I drafted him in the 6 spot last week lol)

No way Scrappy passes on Turner at 5.

you "might" be surprised.

by the way, there is a 90% chance that my first round pick will NOT be a RB just to perk some interests

I think what he's insinuating is if cj ap rr or mjdall get picked, he's going to do something stupid like take a qb or wr in the 5 slot. That would account for the 10%.

Or he's just lying.

Here's what gunna happen. The first 5 will fall like dominos. CJ, AP, MJD, RR and MT. Kase will probably take either Brees or Rodgers.

Man, there are two F-16's flying really low over my house. Make that three. We have a base a few miles away. Those things are awesome.

Taking into account what you said earlier about your options, thatll leave you taking Andre? Fitz?

I'll take the BPA in the first. I drafted Fitz last year in the late first but he had Warner then.

In our league where a QB gets 6 points for a TD pass (which I voted against) a QB is tempting.

10th spot is fine. It all balances out. Your first 5 picks could all be awesome.

We're having a big time air show at Barnes AFB this weekend. looking forward to it. Looks like nice weather.

Actually those are F-15's not F-16's. I believe F-16's are single engine. these are dual.
