Isles have no fans, and the only ones that can afford seats at a Rangers game (within camera view) are the suits.... Once you go up a few levels then you get the real fans, but there will ALWAYS be Rangers fans

By the end of Kobe's career in my humble opinion one will be able to unequivocally say that Kobe is the greatest Laker of all time. Better than Magic? Different skill set and Magic was showtime. It's tough.

By the end of Kobe's career in my humble opinion one will be able to unequivocally say that Kobe is the greatest Laker of all time. Better than Magic? Different skill set and Magic was showtime. It's tough.

I used to live in weathersfield just over the town line, about a mile from the Civic Center. That was a pretty crazy 2 years of my life. Its where i first discovered Puerto Rican cuisine, went to the All Star game back in 85 i believe it was, saw some pretty good concerts there as well. Amazing what can be accomplished on a ten speed bicycle.

yes....there are so few catchers who are great overall players. I'll be the first to admit he's not that great anymore. he's got some hidden power, but my man just turned 39..his best days are behind him! He's won 5 silver sluggers awards for catcher(all between Pudge's dominant run, and now Mauer even tho jorge won recently in 07), career avg of .276 which lets be honest, unless your name is Joe Mauer...that's pretty good. .378 obp....all serviceable numbers...

only catchers id say were better than him the past 15 years(how long Posada has played), Mauer, Pi***a, and Ivan rodriguez...even tho Pudge has been invisible for awhile...but 15 years? why not....
These guys are all going to be HOFers...so i dont think Jorge is far behind. maybe not a 1st ballot, but ya never know...

The great RB's aren't sharing the ball. The possible future HOF'rs are Peterson and Chris Johnson.

When LT was in his prime, he got the bulk of the carries.

So no, guys who get 10 to 15 carries per game don't get into the Hall. If their own team doesn't think they're good enough to get the bulk of the carries (or touches) why should the ages?

You still have not answered my question- Posada a HOF??

yes....there are so few catchers who are great overall players.

First let me say that Jorge Posada can play for me anytime.

But in the era of "lets let anybody in the Hall Of Fame who ever put a 10 game hitting streak" I say absolutely not. Of course I wouldn't have put Kirby Puckett in the Hall (at least not his first year).

The Hall should be reserved for the truly great players. Posada has been a very good player for a very long time. He was never a great player. Give me one Hall of Fame type season, let alone career.

"Very good" players are nice, but not Hall of Fame material.

play, but play where. I gaurantee you would be sick of his performance behind the plate real quick. Its beyond sub-par

The first part of that is all i needed. Thank you sir..

I agree somewhat with what you are saying here, but ihave becomea little more flexible with my expectations for a HOFer over the years. As the rules change, and also the way the games are played change over the years, so should our requirments for HOFers..at least in my opinion.

For example- The days of a every down running back are pretty much behind us, so we may not see guys like Payton, Emmitt, and Jim Brown anymore. So with every team using a rotating backfield, does this mean that these guys are not HOF material??

The great RB's aren't sharing the ball. The possible future HOF'rs are Peterson and Chris Johnson.

When LT was in his prime, he got the bulk of the carries.

So no, guys who get 10 to 15 carries per game don't get into the Hall. If their own team doesn't think they're good enough to get the bulk of the carries (or touches) why should the ages?

there are def workhorse backs gettin their touches Turner, MJD, Gore, SJax, AP, CJ - these guys are the marqee backs that have a shot to be true HOFers becuase of the chances they get. Well minus SJax, he actually gets screwed. If he was ona real team with a halfway decent line his numbers would be so much more sick.

You still have not answered my question- Posada a HOF??

yes....there are so few catchers who are great overall players.

Give me one Hall of Fame type season, let alone career.

youre a fool.

if posada was an average hitter u'd be asking for him to be cut

get real about it already
i am real. posada is still a decent catcher. cervellis batting just above .250 and not that its a big deal, well it kinda is but cervellis never even hit a hr.

"I KEEP IT REAL!"

Cervelli is good behind the plate lol

where are umissing the point of all of this
cause it ****s with the lineup matt. if you start cervelli (a liability with the bat recently)you have to waste the dh on posada.

bro, who caaaarrrreeesss

this is the proto-typical spoiled yankee fan response here. We have ****in Jeter- Swisher- Granderson - Tex- Arod - Cano - Posada - Gardener...

u can have a guy in there that isn't hitting 280 or 25 bombs, lol its okay....

Posada is perfect DH material... i dont get why we're even trying to waste his knees by making him squat and losing time on him
noo its really not man. our bats have been inconsistent all year. jeters not up to par, neither is granderson, arod can be doing better, tex is just starting to turn it on, canos awesome. dont see how its a spoiled yankee fan response being the guys been a yank is whole career and dont want him wasting the dh, something he hates doing

i dont think we're gonna see too much of it until KP is full 100% because hes obviously limited for now...

I do watch a majority of games. I watch them all when they are on TV. I just don't get all 82 games. If I did I would probably watch them all.

Then again in baseball they play almost double the games of NBA so not sure I would watch them all then.

I can't believe the blindness around the posada argument.
guys, you have to have a different standard for catching. there just ARENT good hitting catchers in baseball, which why i personally consider Joe Mauer the 2nd or 3rd best player in all of baseball. It's different than being an OF or a 1B, etc...there are so few catchers in general obviously, so you cant ignore them just because they dont put up Pujols-esque numbers.
I think HOF voters recognize this, and will take it into consideration. Posada probably won't be a first balloter, but somewhere down the line, it could happen.

We get Pettitte back soon, and Hughes > any other jobber we've had there in the past...so im playing it by ear. should be good stuff!

i am trying to be subjective this year, but i dont think its as good as it was in past years. I dont think its cuz i hate the Jets, because I hate the Cowboys more and i still enjoyed their show. I dunno its like different, its not as in depth i feel like. I dunno what it is i can't really put my finger on it.

Not that i dislike it, its def cool to watch for waht they give u, just not their best season i dont think

i am trying to be subjective this year, but i dont think its as good as it was in past years.

I know what you're saying. It seems to be less in depth as the Cowboys show a few years ago.

I do like Bart Scott a lot. And I was very impressed with Santonio Holmes coaching up that kid. (who will probably be cut)

yea me too, i've heard alot of bad **** about him as a person, like not in the media outlets.

Yea you have to like BArt SCott. And I do actually like Rex Ryan.. its just he gets a lil too much when he talks to the media, it jus tbecomes annoying. Its like he tries to be Will Ferrell in Semi-Pro

its just too much. I am a defensive minded guy so i do appreciate that whole attitude and mindset he has as a coach..

Tanneunbaum is a ****** on the show right. He admitted hes the worlds biggest liar and they laughed about it. Even he knows hes a piece of ****. First of all "Pizzlestick" is awesome.

Secondly, "Scrappy" is also awesome.

The difference is that Daven has embraced the term and even put up a picture of Scrappy Doo for a while as his avatar.

But Pizzlestick seems to a bit weaker in character. There is still time however.

By the way, as the inventor of "Pizzlestick" I can say that it wasn't meant to suggest any male body parts. But if you want to go with that, please feel free.

I dont know if any of you recall my paragraph long drunken rant a month or so ago about Oasis, and how I was extremely upset over the past 15 years that they did not become what i thought, and what everyone else thought they were destined to be; OUR Beatles....

But I'm really struggling with this still lol. Like, i've become borderline obsessed with the idea. I cannot wrap my head around it, and it makes me dizzy to think that 2 young guys BLOOD relatives....****ING BROTHERS could drive each other to insanity and breaking up their own ability to become the biggest ****ing thing to happen to music in 30 years!!!

I accept that things like war, world hunger, natural disasters and ****ty healthcare happen......but for some reason I can't accept this!!!! I need psychiatric help....lol
