The bottom line is you have no legitimate argumentand just because you'reupset at the situation doesn't mean you have to try and make something out of nothing, it's not very becoming.
If mine and Pizz'z argument are not logical then I guess I am confused. It is not something out of nothing.

From here on out, no trades should be vetoed. Unless it is outright cheating.

That is the precedence we have just set in Thee Fantasy Football.

I could also make the same hindsight arguments. Shonne Greene for Jahvid Best at the beginning of the year. Austin Collie for Randy Moss. Would you make those trades? We never know, but when things seem so blatantly unfair it should not go through. I am 99% sure Ronnie Brown will have more fantasy points than Bush and Beanie but together at the end of the year. You put Santana on top of it and it's just stupid. I asked MH to put the trade evaluator thing up and show the plus and minus. Of course he didn't. I bet he was plus 150 in point differential.

I see where you are coming from, but where do we draw the line?

Bottom line, there is no line. It is all about peoples opinions....

Kind of like dynasties, Shockey and other great arguments we have had in here.

Lando, you're arguments are not unreasonable. They go to the core of what this league is, or should be. The real question is what should the criteria be to cancel a trade. If you feel that a player is making a bad move, then that can't be enough. if a player is making a cynical move thats another matter.

There is nothing cynical about this move. Shocks said that he likes Beanie Wells a lot and says he needs a backup for Mcfadd. You may disagree regarding the strategy, but its not completely unreasonable.

A good player is making a trade that he truly beieves will help his team. We can't be in the business of dissallowing him from doing that.

So if I trade you Miles Austin for Steve Breaston cause I think he will blow up then that should not be canceled?

It is a HUGE gray area. With your explanation NO trade should ever be canceled cause the 2 trading players feel they are making the right move.

Your trade would have never gone through in any league but ours. Again congrats, but we really did **** some things up.....Not your fault at all.

You are right, it is not unreasonable. But the trade should have been Ronnie Brown for Wells and Bush. The fact that Santana is in there makes it really unfair. It should have never gone through.

Like I said, no trade should ever be canceled again unless cheating can be proven. This is the precedence that trade set and I am fine with that. We can't go back on it now.

Phillip Rivers for Shawn Hill MH? I really feel like Hill will keep the starting job and be the best QB in the league this year. That is fair right?

MJD for Malcolm Floyd? I really feel like Floyd will have better numbers than MJD. That is fair right?

I am not cheating, just trying to get players I feel is better....would these trades go through?

See what we did?

Lando,

I get your point about silly trades (MJD for Floyd, Peyton for Freeman) This isn't an example of that. Its not unrerasonable to think that Beanie will outproduce Ronnie. He was rated higher by Yahoo going into the season. It also isn't unreasonable to want Bush since he will be the man for at least the next few weeks in Oakland, and then give him a back up for an often injured McFadd. You may disagree, but its not crazy.

So I would say that unless a trade is completely rediculous, it makes no sense to nix it. In a competetive league I think we must defer to the players own judgement about their own teams unless its something crazy like the examples you mentioned.

I am new to this as you know. And I'm still learning how it works. But we have to be allowed to follow our own opinions about players even if others don't agree.

I would argue that the CJ trade you made with Bandy was very lopsided. I whined about it (whining is something I do well) but I would never presume to veto it.

I think as long as we know the rules, and as long as we have a commish with good judgement (as we do) we are fine in this league.

You know how Daven is on these things, he tends to overargue. But please don't get upset at anyone about this. And please don't let this deter you from playing next year. This league is too fun for all of us to let this kind of thing get in the way.

We will clarify the process and then move on and continue enjoying this league.

To me and Pizz it is crazy. Also to Matt. He admitted that trade would have never happened in his big league. It was a ridiculous trade. As crazy as you think MJD for Floyd would be, it is on the same level for me. I can't understand it for the life of me. Neither can anyone else I have ran it by. Beanie will not produce more than Ronnie and you know it or you would have kept him. You could not give away Bush. Ronnie will have better numbers than Bush and Beanie put together in my opinion. You know we will all be keeping track of it. Like I said, Matt and Joey (PhillyPhan05) know more than anyone I know about fantasy football. They both think it's completely stupid. Matt would have rejected it had it not benefited him. It should have never happened but it did so we move on.

Mendenhall and Vincent Jackson for CJ was not lopsided in the slightest. They outscored him for the rest of the year anyway. There were worse trades than that. Bandy should have made the playoffs. The only trade that was is when I got Westbrook and whatever from Daven. You could not have vetoed it because it was a fair trade. 2 #1's for a #1. Not 2 #2's for 2 #1's. VJ was a top 5 WR and so was Mendenhall.

Our commish is very good and everything is fine as that goes.

I don't even know why I am still wasting my time with this. It's over. Any trade can go through now as far as I'm concerned. I don't really care anymore. I will just worry about my team and try not to rip anyone off.

just so everyone knows i hate ff

well you did have to start 2 KC rbs lol

i think i have the worst team, but the boys showed up today. and it looks like the waiting game with Felix is over. might have hit fantasy gold with that.
(Doesnt hurt that Brandon Jackson randomly showed up to play)

Let the record show that I offered Morehead, Bush and Kevin Walter for Brandon Marshall a few days ago in light of the recent proceedings, he promptly declined it and I started Bush this week in B league.

Also with Felix doing what he did today, my teams looks to be a monster in that league.

that is excellent news!

I'm going to aska girl i work with about the weather that day. she can ask her husband who is a legit meteorologist. I know you probably think they are all the same, but check this out....

I asked him about the weather the night i went to yankees game in the spring, because it said it wasgoing to rain. like 80% chance.
He goes, well it'll drizzle for like a minute at like 815.

sure as osi.....drizzle for 1 minute, beautiful night rest of the way lol

Thats because Brandon Marshall is a stallion. But in hindsight, with the injury condition of my team, it probably would have been a good trade for me.

I tend to reject trade offers unless its absolutely clear that I will be helped.

We knew Detroit would show signs of life this year. they've improved on every part of the game.
The rams will continue to suck.

Detroit has played some equally bad teams and just couldnt get a break, but yes they were putting points on the board.

I don't want to dwell on this, but i would suggest that Dezz really needs to pay a bit more attention to his FF team.

It reflects poorly on the rest of us, who take this seriously and extract enjoyment as a product.

In other words, get your **** together and make sure you aren't starting injured players and defenses on a bye. It shows a lack of respect for the rest of us. Sometimes late word comes down and it is difficult to stay ahead of it. But in this case, Pierre Thomas was out last week and was not expected to play way ahead of time and I'm pretty sure the bye week for the Dolphins was scheduled and well known before game time on Sunday.

Rant over.

Given that, its a tad silly. Wouldn't you agree?

You were referring to the 04 team so I made a comment about that.

But if you want to talk about what happened a few seasons ago sure I'll play along.

Rant over.

We are all done with it. I think Blondie should just take control of his team from here on out and play whoever has the highest Yahoo projections. It seems like that would be a fair way to do it. Not sure why we let him fleece us into believing he would not be like last year. People made and missed the playoffs last year directly because of Dez not playing his team correctly. I would hate for the same thing to happen again this year.

So far, my buddy is taking his cargo van and we're bringing tents, 2 full size folding tables, a backyard style propane grill, and possibly a couch, LOL

Suggestions foodwise????? Or is there anything that people are allergic to or just dont enjoy eating????

lovely! do you have a parking pass?? maybe we can squeeze some ppl into your van when we all meetup before and all the food and whatnot then whoever doesnt have a ride over we can just meet you in the parking lot.

i suggest we cram into the least amount of cars possible then whoever doesnt have parking passes pay the $20 to park at the sheradon and head over from there (walk or shuttle since kase will have all our food??)
I dunno how much room we'll have in the van, but if we have room we can scoop some heads up, or we can meet up at the Vince Lombardi Rest Stop off of the NJ Turnpike amd dp ot convoy sty;eeee

There are some cool quotes from Eli on that play....he noticed from watching film that the safety would bite up on a RB coming out of the back field.

So in the huddle he told AB to run a deeper route then the play called, the safety bit as Eli predicted and Nicks was wide open for the TD.

“It’s not the look we really could get in practice,” Manning
explained. “But Friday I got the receivers together and told them that
on that type of play, the safety would bite on the running back and it
would open up the back of the end zone. We had seen that on film.”

So Manning had Bradshaw run a short underneath route and pumped
once in his direction. On cue, safety Bernard Pollard came up to cover
Bradshaw, leaving Nicks all alone in the end zone.

“Normally on a look like that the route would have changed,”
Nicks said. “But Eli wanted me to keep going because he knew the safety
would bite up to play the running back.”

Nicks has enough size to be a factor in the red area, he's got the speed to get deep, and he understands the technical aspects of the position. i'll concede... Nicks is far more along than i thought he would be

but then again, whats with teams leaving him wide open in the end zone? lol

good morning

uh oh, rainy day?

yea no taking anything away from him, but on that one td he just ran straight and was wide open lol

i couldn't believe it. But its fine, let them keep sleeping on Nicks

Nicks said. “But Eli wanted me to keep going because he knew the safety
would bite up to play the running back.”

cheers for easy E

It is about to go from $100 to $200, and will probably be in the $300-350 range by the end of the year. Maybe even more...

Considering that the same Rookie card of Lebron James is $10,000.00, i would say that the sky is the limit for that baby.....

It talks about ( a play i held my breath on) the last 20 seconds of the superbowl, when Brady threw a 70 yarder(literally) to Moss and "underthrew" him by about a yard. I mean you cantreally underthrow a 70 yard pass, but you get the point. I think it was Webster who got the last tip on it to prevent a miracle from happening. There's a pic, but i can't tell from the angle. I feel bad that idont know, but lets be honest, I was watching Moss, not the defender hahaha

Dezz is the best at making sure his lineup is good in Fantasy Football and doing his best for others in the league that might be counting on him. It was nice of him to be a man of his word and really play the game this year and fielding a full team every week.

that was sarcasm

Your waivers didn't clear because someone else got your players. Then you need to pick up some more. Don't ***** at us cause you are worthless. You should not have played if you didn't want to and you knew what you were getting yourself into. You had multiple chances to let Lawl in but said no no no.

Don't you think Blondie has enough on her plate? lol Man up and play the game. It is really not that hard. It takes 5 minutes bro. You should have rolled a joint with a $50 bill. You would have got more pleasure.

I really hope the Vikings win. Then we play @ Dallas on Monday night and can push them to 1-5. That would pretty much eliminate them from the playoffs.

Actually Lando's A team at 5-0 has only 20 more points than my B team at 1-4. I'm still averaging over 100 points per week but alas, you are what your record says you are.

I have had some fortunate match ups. I will admit. This is the hard part of my season. I figure if I can win 3 or 4 more I am in the playoffs for sure. Lot of parity in our league. It's gonna be close all the way to the end.

Actually I have all my RB's with the possible exception of Frank Gore and LT available. I will even trade TE's if it works.

The Clark situation is fine right now. He had off games in weeks that I won anyway. I figure the law of averages is on my side. we all know he's a favorite target of peyton.

Jennings is a different case. He's starting to piss me off.
