congrats again man...even tho I'm disappointed, I'm glad to have made it that far with what littleI had goin for me. The only thing that stinks is that I wish it was closer. Had the Giants not been awful, and Cinci not broken Tolbert's neck on his first carry, we may have seen a different result. Salll Gooood!!

I kinda think he was done after the season regardless.

I thought we all kind of agreed on that earlier this season. whether retired, or fired, he's probably not coming back. My only hope is that we get fresh blood at offensive coordinator with TC's departure.

gimme a break bro...we all knew how important that game was. it had playoffs written all over it for the 2 weeks leading up to it. it was detrimental to both teams. had we won the philly game, it prolly woulda been just as crippling them them I feel. And don't go by the ND experience. He was outmanned in almost every game they played due to their acedemic standards..

plus he missed an actual first year of recruiting cuz Pats were in the superbowl

i wouldn't be totally against it, especially offensively.

I just dont want to go through the growing pains of switching to a 3-4. The talent is here now with the 4-3.

I think that was the biggest mistake the skins did.

listen, you all know my feelings about expressing my dissatisfaction with our team...but thats actually the main thing that bugs me. We arent playing Giants football. we showed glimpses of it all year, and had some good games. but theres no consistency with it.

And you cant really put the blame anywhere anymore, it's not Eli, it's not injuries, it's not WRs, not the RBs....its just a general lack of...idk...but it sucks. lol

I guess im on board with the TC thing...took me a few years, but his tenure may be expiring. lol

We already made a huge change this year in defense, and thats why I believe we are struggling now.

Don't forget that the Spags D called for press corners who are physical. And we drafted accordingly. Now we play a defense where the corners spend a lot of time facing the QB, and we are finding that some of our players don't match the system.

You are probably right about the 3-4. But don't forget it was the Giants who essentially invented it.

actually its been completely a team effort...

Eli and Bradshaw with turnovers

Nicks with seemingly running wrong routes and balls popping off his hands

the oline was banged up all year but they were a strong point for us

Smith injury REALLY hurt us. Shows how much he means to Eli.

Defensively, im sorry but we need some players to be gone... starting with Webster. As an ex-big webby guy, hes getting CONSTANTLY abused. Thomas is hit or miss, he either looks like hes an all star or should be playing Arena Football. Ross is useless. Corner is an area of concern

Kevin Boss, jesus man, the mental mistakes from him dropping balls, not falling on the football on the Jacobs fumble, the injury history, we have to go another direction next year. Any good FA TEs that are ognna be out there?

listen, you all know my feelings about expressing my dissatisfaction with our team...but thats actually the main thing that bugs me. We arent playing Giants football. we showed glimpses of it all year, and had some good games. but theres no consistency with it.

And you cant really put the blame anywhere anymore, it's not Eli, it's not injuries, it's not WRs, not the RBs....its just a general lack of...idk...but it sucks. lol

I guess im on board with the TC thing...took me a few years, but his tenure may be expiring. lol

actually its been completely a team effort...

Any good FA TEs that are ognna be out there?

yea the turnovers hurt....and I cant lie..i hate bradshaw for it too...
Eli was obviously ridiculous with turning it over, but he's hit or miss like every year with that, so idk...
Bradshaw though....this ****ing guy proves that he doesnt deserve a full time role in my eyes.
look at all the other lead rushers. Foster, MJD, Charles, CJ....none of those guys fumbled more than 2-3 times this year. AB had the second most fumbles IN THE LEAGUE!!! ridiculous. Not that I was ever on the AB bandwagon, but im over it. give me anyone else in the league with his speed, and we'd be fine still.

CBs....hardest position in football. we arent as bad there as youd think. Webster, during somereplays was like glue on his reciever, the big plays we gave up we're ridiculous though. i dont think we'll be changing much in the secondary.

i dont know if these TEs were resigned, but

Thomas had a head and shoulders better season than webster, for the second year in a row. I gave Webby the injury bug excuse last year, but two years in a row i dont think so.

truth of the matter is that besides for Rolle, who hasn't been playin his best football lately, if our DLine isn't TOTALLY dominating that our secondary gets exposed.

Deon Grant has played good football for us too

Ross appeared to have been good in his first year. He plain sucks now. Agree on Philips. New York wants the quickest fix, I know I don't want to wait for a complete revamp of our defensive scheme. Speed and size is a necessity for Receivers that Eli can throw his sometimes not too accurate passes to.

All in all this defense was playing well until 8 minutes to go last week. I really don't know what happened. I think the comeback effected their confidence. And Rodgers is really good in the pocket.

underachieving is a great description actually...

listen, you all know my feelings about expressing my dissatisfaction with our team...but thats actually the main thing that bugs me.

Any good FA TEs that are ognna be out there?

yea the turnovers hurt....and I cant lie..i hate bradshaw for it too...

Webster, during somereplays was like glue on his reciever, the big plays we gave up we're ridiculous though. i dont think we'll be changing much in the secondary.

i dont know if these TEs were resigned, but
Vernon Davis
Gates
Zach Miller
Owen Daniels all those are listed as 2011 Free Agents

Ab's fumbles are pure ridiculous. Our secondary and defense--stats say that we are not so bad(pretty dam good), but when I watch end of eagles and the packers game, I am thinking we cannot do anything correctly.

Webster got abused on the slants... that one deep ball to Jennings, theres nothing u can do. Perfect placement and great catch by Jennings

AB's fumbles are gross. Depending on who our new OC and HC are gonna be, I can't say i wouldn't mind taking a run at VD. But if we resign Coughlin and GIlbride theres no point in wasting the cap space

guess u missed yesterdays game and pretty much the whole season... wayyy more bad games than good..

Deon Grant has played good football for us too

yea i saw it. you ever think it might be the scheme? look at him when spags was here playing press. he was one of the best corners in the league in 08. and if you think coreys is the worst corner or is playing any where near as bad as tt, youre insane.

But don't forget it was the Giants who essentially invented it.
iv been *****ing about this all year. especially when we play teams with small wrs.
rodgers had a field day with the soft coverage, and we didnt adjust. tt gave up the tying td to mclain vs the eagles 2 weeks ago playing 10 yards off him around our own 10 yardline. WTF are we thinking??? these past two weeks our coverage reminds me of the tim lewis days

anyway, i would really rather stay a 4-3. what would we do with all our linemen?

and i dont think GB has ANY small WRs
was talking about the eagles.
That's the thing-Eagle's they have size and lights out speed. Jennings, Driver and that other wr-sliced us up all night.

I don't for a minute think that Nicks ran the wrong route. All that happened there is that Nicks made a sight adjustment away from the coverage (up the field) and Eli (for some unexplainable reason) expected him to turn it back into the coverage. Eli threw the ball into coverage no matter what direction Nicks ended up turning it.

are you guys arguing that AB's inability to hold onto the ball doesnt knock him down a few levels of "awesome" to mediocrity? it absolutely does.

The guy was at our mall last week signing autographs. I was too disgusted with him to even attempt to go. not to mention i wont pay for autographs. he should pay me to take it lol.

its pretty clear what we're saying, ur just trying to justify that you were right about Bradshaw but u weren't lol

I have a hunch that Charlie Weiss might be a candidate.

I think that was the biggest mistake the skins did.

we showed so much promise early in the season,...and now im unsure. is this a result of the new defense, or is it my point about effort? or just bad football?

I dont think it's nearly as bad as the Sherridan trial obviously.

good morning.......

hope everyone had a fab chirstmas!

and 2011 better ****ing be the year of change. im still sick over sunday. GAG************+1 Very hard to watch them play like that.

its been like this tho. they look like the best team in football then they look like THEEE thread members would KILL them. its so annoying and im so over it. we stay in the game for 3/4 then kill outselves. two weeks in a row now. doesnt ****ing amtter how good you played for half the game when you end up being embarrassed like that at the end. ELi needs to stop with the turnovers, jacobs and bradshaw wach with a turn over again..... SERiOUSLY? hakeem running wrong routes, dropped balls by all WRs, the defense? what ****ing defense.... dont even get me started... tuck and boley are the only ones even worth giving SOME props too and the coaching staff is just HORRIBLE right now.... and special teams isnt even worth mentioning.... dodge is still on the roster?! lol what a sick ****ing joke.

i hope greenbay loses sunday but i cant even be upset if we dont make it in the playoffs. right now.. we dont deserve to be there.Wow-I think you covered it completely. That's the said part, there are ALOT of things failing at this point. I felt the same way about playoff's Sunday, Monday, now I have that feeling again that if they get to the playoff's--the slate is wiped clean. However, deep inside, I know this team cannot correct the mistakes. They have been aware of alot of their issues since Summer Camp and have been unable to correct or make improvements.

Ab's fumbles are pure ridiculous. Our secondary and defense--stats say that we are not so bad(pretty dam good), but when I watch end of eagles and the packers game, I am thinking we cannot do anything correctly.

yea man it became hard to watch.

im chalking it up to literally no motivation, no effort, and someone(mainly the coach) giving up and not caring...
i mean i know he cares, but somewhere down the line, he lost the team.
Bradshaw though, I give him no excuses...I.just.do.not.like.him.
never have.

my first post on this forum was about how ordinary bradshaw is, and how people on these boards were all over his johnson for 3 straight seasons. it was disturbing.

well the truth of the matter is your wrong....

if u take away the fumbles, his running ability and everything else isn't ordinary.

The fumbles are a seperate thing when ur describing how good the guy is. But obviously the fumbles overshadow, but u can't say when it comes to handling the rock the guy is ordinary. Hes not

extremely ordinary. not to be confused with extraordinary of course....
take away the fumbles? the guyalmost has as many fumbles on his career as he does touchdowns! thats embarassing lol

When u made these comments it wasn't about Bradshaws fumbling issues, cuz he didn't have them. It was about his ability to run the ball effectively.

With what u were judging him on, you were wrong.
Outside of the fumbles, I feel AB gives us his heart in every run. For 198 lb back, he runs harder than BJ alot of times.

In the drifts I had maybe 18-20 inches. Total accumulation (non-drift) maybe close to a foot. We have had much worse storms. The wind was a *****e 50+ mph gusts. Luckily no power loss. That blizzard in 1997 was BAD ***. Those drifts were closing in on 4 feet. I remember finally getting my door open and my 7 year old goes outside and the snow is up to his neck, he turned around and crawled back in. HA.

12-28-2010, 02:26 PM
Does anyone know if there will be a salary cap next year?

Steeley Dan, just thinking about them the other day-circa 1978, this kid across the street loved them. So I pull into the driveway last week and Iron Maiden, Ancient Mariner comes on Lithium or Boneyard. I have to listen to it and I keep increasing the volume more and more--pretty decent Bose sound sys comes with my truck---anyway, eventually I start playing the air drums and guitar...the wife comes outside with the dog and she is like WTF-are you doing? I felt like Will Farrel playing in the driveway with his ?trans-am in that movie with Aari Gold's wife(can't remember her name). Can't a man just be left alone?

well as I may have mentioned I live in a ****ing mansion....(slightly sarcastic, but only slightly)
for new years we decided to charge $25 a head, and are throwing a fully catered, house party.
kegs, fully stocked bar with booze, champagne, and sake....obnoxiously loud music, and good ppl.

initial headcount was about 40 something. we'll see if we get those last minute tagalongs though. we always have a good showing, and a good time. as long as i see some titties, im happy lmao

First of all, sorry for your loss. Secondly, heroin and meth are definitely the drugs of choice in the small cities surroudning my town. I deal with kids on a daily basis and just about 75% of them have tried one or both of these drugs. Addiction is almost impossible to kick when you are surrounded by it just about 24/7. Getting away from the environment seems to be the only real help someone can get. That is way easier said than done.

Most of us at least have been around people doing stuff like that. The problem with my friends was that they were more into selling than actually doing. Ten Crack Commandments. That is way easier said than done.

yea i've done partying in my day.. but those were always a bit extreme for me. Thank god I had the common sense to at least leave them alone

Most of us at least have been around people doing stuff like that. The problem with my friends was that they were more into selling than actually doing. Ten Crack Commandments. Never get high off your own supply. I was around them a lot when deals went down. I barely made it out of Syracuse because of the culture itself.

yea, even still though some would argue that if they were in the game they were onthe right side of the fence

How do we know that Maclin won't go Jim Marshall and run backwards tonight. Plus fumble a few times.

By your (and my) own definition, the previous champ is still champ until another is crowned.

That makes Shocks the champ until the end of the game tonight.

And of course you realize I could just bench everyone and still win. Save me with the technicalities. When your team is kneeling the ball with a minute left in the Superbowl you know who the champ is. I am in victory formation baby. Just glad you lost last week. You would have killed me

That would be backing in to take Maclin down. You know you want more than 100 points no matter what.

Jake has a shot tonight he has killler playing he is down 25 Idk going to be close

All I have to say is that if I lose because Peyton Manning wanted to slide instead of score, I will go to his house and kick his *** myself. I knew I was gonna need every point I could get because of Vick.
I didn't even think of that slide no doubt he could of got in.. I think you probably got it but it will be interesting toseehow plays out ..good luck man

why does Blondie get a pass?

She was there with me on that night we met Eli.

Her Phillies were winning the series until she went to the game

She became friends wtih Jay Alford and then the Giants cut him......

NOT THAT I DO THAT KIND OF THING!!!
Watching Minnesota play Vick last night just blew me away. Either Webb got lucky first time out or is the real deal? AP had their number in rushing. It confuses me, that NYG cannot rush against Eagle's. Vikings defense brought it with 6 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and interceptions. Minnesota was playing inspired ball and the eagle's did not play their good game, but I am wondering if the formula has been laid to beat Vick. It would of been better for Chicago to have a reason to beat GB this Sunday, but it was nice to see Vick get hammered. Reports indicate a hit to his quadricep gave him a bruise in the beginning of the game. Quads can pester you for a while, unfortunately I don't think it will slow him down.

**** is kinda workin against us....

in 07 we struggled early, and put together a good 2nd half of the season to make the playoffs and that awesome run to the SB....
in 08, we didnt show up in the playoffs...
in 09 we were bad....

and now we just have nothing consistent to take into the playoffs if we even do make it. It kinda hurts to be in this spot obviously....we're walking on a thin line right now, and i dont want to get my hopes up necassarily.
