Lakers got booed off the court by their own fans last night after losing to the GRIZZLIES by 20 points!!
AWESOME! lol....they havent been that good this year. i mean they are like 22-11 or something, but youd expect more from "champions"</P>

You mean back to back champions? People were playing lots of minutes when Andrew was out. Now he is back and we have no chemistry. Its only January, basketball doesn't start until April. We will get the 1 seed and 3peat. Don't worry about us. And besides, you don't even like basketball...</P>

This is what you choose to post about?</P>

Your absolutely right...but still.........</P>
Am I not to defend my team? Besides, football is over. I could not be more upset about how it all ended. 3 years in a row with great expectations. Playing like a team who can't be beat the first 8 games of the year and then playing like god knows what in the end. Ever since 17 shot himself it had been downhill. We will have the same expectations next year as well. Just hope we do something with it.

We have the 19th pick in the first rd....who you want/need?

Re: Plax, I have concern over his condition after the amount of time he was in prison. I would hope that his demeanor/mindset has been humbled and he will not be a potential cancer to the team with his antics. I'm not speaking about the gun, but more so-stuff like getting benched at the Arizona game in 2008 for something that TC was pissed about(late meetings, etc)

yes. I would think its safe to say the guy has a slightly different attitude(even if he's not a Giant I still would hope so). I am however slightly confused with how we would use him, and all our WRs at the same time. Matt and I had a conversation about this earlier in the season. How it would hinder the development of players like Manningham.

What do we normally carry active? 5 WRs?</P>

The first year, I think Plax would probably not reach close to his previous form until mid-season. I don't think he would slow the other wr's development much if Eli only threw to him on certain sets. The double coverage(I have to assume Plax would still draw) should actually get more balls going to the rest of the wr core.

Not to beat a dead horse with out RB situation...but....</P>

Ahmad Bradshaw took 130 more snaps than BJ this year, and only managed to put up only 400 more yards that BJ. He had less average too by .9 thats just undr a yard less a rush...
to say I was not impressed by AB is obvious, cuz ive said it all year, and his fumbles are enough to make you puke up the beer you guzzle while watching......
If BJ can get 823 yards on 147 carries, he would have had a MOSTEROUS season with the carries AB got.
He has been mistreated in my eyes, and although his tantrums this season are somewhat uncalled for, I see why he would be upset. juss sayin</P>

BJ played better than AB this year-flat out and he got the short end of the stick. I'm not surprised he's unhappy. That fumble in the GB game would of added even more to BJ's totals. That was a breakaway run for the big guy. AB's fumbles are a huge problem. I understand that AB uses his arms while making his cut's and running-, but so do other backs. This needs to stop or he won't have a job. What do you think about Ware to take a role as a feature back next season?

I've have been THEE Danny Ware supporter since he's been rocking a blue jersey, cuz im a UGA fan. Idk, if thats a possibility, but i'd be down for some change.
That fumble in GB by Jacobs was honestly, just one of the best defensive plays ive seen this year. Hawk is probably close to defensive POY if I were to guess.</P>

He has been mistreated in my eyes, and although his tantrums this season are somewhat uncalled for, I see why he would be upset. juss sayin</p>if we would of made it to the playoffs you wouldnt think bj was mistreated or mis-used. we were saving him for now.

Not to beat a dead horse with out RB situation...but....</p>

Ahmad Bradshaw took 130 more snaps than BJ this year, and only managed to put up only 400 more yards that BJ. He had less average too by .9 thats just undr a yard less a rush...

Jacobs has to sit out a half season to be effective

I think the same.
</p>

Hawk is probably close to defensive POY if I were to guess.</p>I'm not taking anything away from Hawk, but if I recall correctly---Did BJ still have the ball under his left arm. Isn't is protocol to put the ball in the outside arm(closest to sideline) ? What is UGA?

I have taken alot of heat for it, and will continue to but....I have always felt that Bradshaw is an very ordinary speedy running back. There are about 20 guys thoughout the league who can get the same stats(probably less fumbles) as him with the way our line helps the RBs.

There are not alot of "special" RBs out there. Bradshaw got lucky on a good running team where he moved up the ranks. My best example would be Derrick Ward. GREAT on the Gmen....NOTHING in TB or Houston....some attribute that to his conditioning, but I think he was a product of our team. As is AB.....except AB isnt as impressive as everyone makes him out to be. 4.7 yards a carry....whatever....

but dont and anytime u are asked to give this list of 20 u never can.

Derrick Ward was a running back when the line was DOMINATING. The truth of the matter is tha tBRadshaw gets his respect from making his own plays and yards after contact. Jacobs also has never carried a load of a starting running back cuz he always wears down....

the only reason he was even still the "starter" by the end of last year is because AB got hurt

I would hope that his demeanor/mindset has been humbled and he will not be a potential cancer to the team with his antics. </p>

5 WRs?</p>

I dont get it about plax...

has anybody missed what Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks, and Mario Manningham have done for us? Why the hell would we bring Plax in? It makes no sense. Hes ****in 37 and has been sitting in a cage for two years. He was already breaking down before that.

I'm not taking anything away from Hawk, but if I recall correctly---Did BJ still have the ball under his left arm. Isn't is protocol to put the ball in the outside arm(closest to sideline) ? What is UGA?
</p>

nope Hawk punced it out of the right arm, BEHIND BJ. Jacobs did every thing right, it was just a ****ing awesome play on the ballcarrier.

Bradshaw does not deserve 100 carries in a season?</P>

Did he refuse to give you an autograph or something?</P>

Cause that is ludacris, take away the fumbles and you have a solid runningback. </P>

I know many of you think you can just put any runningback in and he will flourish, but have you forgot Ron Dayne? Or Tyrone Wheatley?</P>

</P>

those guys didnt even play with an o-line...
Tikie Barber was THEE best running back we ever had. he was the best playmaker you could have at RB and i dont even like him lol. as our line got better, so did he!! dont even deny it.</P>

</P>

So Dayne and Wheatley sucked because of our o-line?</P>

I can counter that with how did Gary Brown accumilate a 1,000 yards with that bad line?</P>

Yes Tiki is the best running-back the Giants ever had. </P>

But don't make it out like Bradshaw is a dime a dozen</P>

MattMeyerBud

The only time Jacobs didnt average over 5 yards a carry was last year....yea...last year lol...what running game??? lol

Aren't you the one who said D.J Ware should start at runningback?</p>

</p>

start? nah...get more than 20 carries a season? absolutely.

Bradshaw does not deserve even 100 carries.
If you guys think Jacobs was being "saved" ok I guess I can see your point....but thats speculative.
</p>

your absolutely ridiculous. The guy had more 20+ yard plays than anybody in the NFL and averaged 4.5 while also being our short yardage back for most of the season (before u start with his average shoul dbe higher). Your crazy

MattMeyerBud
01-04-2011, 10:57 AM

I think the same.
</p>

Hawk is probably close to defensive POY if I were to guess.</p>I'm not taking anything away from Hawk, but if I recall correctly---Did BJ still have the ball under his left arm. Isn't is protocol to put the ball in the outside arm(closest to sideline) ? What is UGA?

na im pretty sure he had the ball on the outside arm
Ah, ok, if that's case, great defensive play. JPizz, Im with you on AB being expendable. I think there are alot of back that should be able to give us the same production with our o-line functioning well.

well it depends... the fumbling thing can't continue

it depends what kinda money he asks for

Derrick Ward was a running back when the line was DOMINATING. The truth of the matter is tha tBRadshaw gets his respect from making his own plays and yards after contact. Jacobs also has never carried a load of a starting running back cuz he always wears down....

the only reason he was even still the "starter" by the end of last year is because AB got hurt

how about any RB above and below AB on the yardage list this year? lol

Arian Foster, Chris Johnson, Peterson, Mendenhall, Jamaal Charles, Michael Turner, MJD, Steven Jackson, Ray Rice, Mcfadden, Hillis, McCoy, Forte, The Lawfirm, Frank Gore, Knowshon, Felix Jones, Benson, Thomas Jones, Jonathan Stewart, Deangelo Williams...and just to piss you off...DANNY WARE! lol =P</P>

has anybody missed what Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks, and Mario Manningham have done for us? Why the hell would we bring Plax in? It makes no sense. Hes ****in 37 and has been sitting in a cage for two years. He was already breaking down before that.

I mean what would be the purpose
</P>

He's 33</P>

And he is a playmaker.</P>

Maybe prison humbled him, maybe he wants a chance to show the world he can still play at a high level. </P>

I love Nicks, Smith and Manningham. </P>

But Plax would bring something we desperately need, a playmaker in the redzone. </P>

If he is willing to take a smaller role, I would give him a 1 yr deal. </P>

ehh. i think nicks is just as good in the red zone. again if the price is right lets get him.
</P>

As good? Be honest Plax was better in the redzone. </P>

I am not saying Nicks is not good either..</P>

Nicks looks like a top 10 receiver in his second year. It took plax a while to get respect like that
</P>

The first 2 seasons Nicks is the better of the two. </P>

But don't discredit Plax, his second season he got over a 1,000 yards receiving. </P>

And his 3rd he got over 1,300 yards. </P>

Morning errbodyHey, hey, whataya say? NYG made statement about plax.
</p>

I saw that! How do you feel about it?</p>

Forum acts weird in am for me, cycles forever after post or quote-selections. Idk.

</p>

5 WRs?</p>

Nicks had 11 TDs in 13 games. What we need is a tight end threat.

Nicks is a stud I will never disagree.</p>

Yes I would love to have a tight-end threat. </p>

I would let Boss walk this off-season. </p>

eh i wouldn't mind jkeeping boss as long as he signs for back up money. he is a well rounded TE and plus if we're gonna solve this TE situation through the draft, i'd like to kepe him here as a vet.

But if he signs for backup money then that would be awesome
</p>

His drops this season were alarming. </p>

Also I find it hard to think he would take back-up money. </p>

Some team will offer him a nice contract. </p>

probably, but the concussions and injury bug must be a concern

oh, while we're talking about Boss....

Does anyone think he drops were caused by fear? lol....

I used to think Boss was a roughneck, badass...he would catch anything, get rocked SO ****ING HARD, and hold onto the ball...get injured, and walk it off....
you can only do that so many times to a decent player before he starts hearing pounding footsteps behind him....i think he's rattled. used goods. his drops were crazy this year.
I wouldtn mind keeping him around, like MMB said, he's serviceable, but we need a better TE.

The only time Jacobs didnt average over 5 yards a carry was last year....yea...last year lol...what running game??? lol

Im tired of hearing about how awesome AB is.</p>

Aren't you the one who said D.J Ware should start at runningback?</p>

</p>

start? nah...get more than 20 carries a season? absolutely.

Bradshaw does not deserve even 100 carries.
If you guys think Jacobs was being "saved" ok I guess I can see your point....but thats speculative.
</p>

</p>

Bradshaw does not deserve 100 carries in a season?</p>

Did he refuse to give you an autograph or something?</p>

Cause that is ludacris, take away the fumbles and you have a solid runningback. </p>

I know many of you think you can just put any runningback in and he will flourish, but have you forgot <font color="#ff0000">Ron Dayne? Or Tyrone Wheatley?</font></p>BUSTS. You're right, not just any running back, but a good percentage of.

how about any RB above and below AB on the yardage list this year? lol

Arian Foster, Chris Johnson, Peterson, Mendenhall, Jamaal Charles, Michael Turner, MJD, Steven Jackson, Ray Rice, Mcfadden, Hillis, McCoy, Forte, The Lawfirm, Frank Gore, Knowshon, Felix Jones, Benson, Thomas Jones, Jonathan Stewart, Deangelo Williams...and just to piss you off...DANNY WARE! lol =P</p>

I'd say Bradshaw is in the second tier with guys like McCoy, Forte, Gore, and Moreno. Hes a top 15 back in the league

CJ's Rookie Year - 1229 yards -- 4.9 YPC -- 9 TD's

gotta admit it was closer then I thought it would be, but it's still a loss Amanda :P
theeeere he is.you didnt forget about me, DID YOU?

Dezz no offense, but there was nothing riding on your prediction, me and Blondie had 100$ on ours.

regardless, gotta say I was really disappointed with this season, we had a good team, we just blew it in a dramatic fashion against Philly, that was the end of our year IMHO.

I hear we are offering Coughlin a new Contract, gotta say I think that's a mistake....our talent is there though, I think we'll be ok next year regardless of what we do this off season.
lol we bet 100 bucks, but its ok dav

one thing i know dav does (cuz i do it too) is confirm the bet in the PM. If theres no PM, DEzz probably did the typical talk out of his *** and not back it up type bet. And now hes trying to collect on it lol

what was that bet?

Oh and I still think Jacobs is the better back as well, I mean, he came on really strong at the end of the season once they started giving him carries again.

5.6 YPC vs 4.5 YPC
9 TD's vs 8 TDS
10-20+ Yard Carries vs 13-20+ Yard Carries.

I mean, Jacobs averages more yards per carries, more TD's per attempt and (shockingly to you guys probably) more "Break out" or "long" runs per carry then Bradshaw, he fumbles less blocks better...

what does Bradshaw do better....nothing as far as I can tell...you know, besides "cut" more which seems to be everyone around here's basis for if a running back is good or not.

Yes Bradshaw can cut better then Jacobs...that seems to be about the only thing he can do better though.

if you want to think that the only thing that matters for a RB is his ability to cut....that's your problem.

Morning errbodyHey, hey, whataya say?* NYG made statement about plax.
</p>

I saw that! How do you feel about it?</p>

Forum acts weird in am for me, cycles forever after post or quote-selections.* Idk.

Re: Plax, I have concern over his condition after the amount of time he was in prison.* I would hope that his demeanor/mindset has been humbled and he will not be a potential cancer to the team with his antics.* I'm not speaking about the gun, but more so-stuff like getting benched at the Arizona game in 2008 for something that TC was pissed about(late meetings, etc)
</p>

I mean what would be the purpose
</p>

hes 34 and gonna be 35 by the time the season starts. I was exaggerating but still.

Nicks had 11 TDs in 13 games.* What we need is a tight end threat.
</p>

He will be 34 next August.</p>

Nicks is a stud I will never disagree.</p>

But we need another playmaker in the redzone. </p>

Wonder what would of happened if we got Gonzalez. He is playing awesome as ever. You were really on that bandwagon.....I think you were totally right

I usually save a PM from bets I make are you sure cause I have nothing saved from that, I own up to my bets but I really don't remember betting you 100 I KNOW I did with Blondie, but with you, I really don't think so, find me a PM or somewhere where I agreed to it and I'll gladly meet up and give you the 100$ that I owe you if that's the case....(I mean I should be getting 100$ from blondie anyhow so whats the difference to me)

yeah, ok now I remember, I said to send it in PM and I'd think about it, but you never did, so it was never agreed upon....the bet never got established.

I remember that I was on the losing side of the bet we "where going to have" but you never sent confirmation, it's like the handshake, if you never shake on it it's just an argument, or a "gentelmens bet" you have to agree upon terms and we never did.

yea, i mean i wouldnt attack his allegiance to him or anything...but its true, I understand he's just trying to be right.
Ive never flamed Bradshaw(well this year I did because there is zero excuse for leaduing the ****ing league in fumbles as a 4th year player), and never said I didnt want him as a Giant.
But I dont see how it's not obvious that there are THAT MANY guys who are literally identical to him around the league. i never said he WASNT GOOD...I never said I hated him...nothing...</P>

Foster, CJ, Peterson, MEndy, TUrner, MJD, Jamaal Charles, Rice, and now Hillis &amp; McFadden are def the elite - are all guys i would want over BRadshaw DEFINITLY. dude, arguably, soccer is more popular in the states than hockey, with the exception of some areas im sure.</P>

when you say more popular.. do you mean played more or watched more..</P>

def. played more. I mean I live in NY and growing up, although I didnt play, there are like 7000 soccer leagues can get involved in....ONE place to play hockey. so one organization of teamsfor the youth leagues to play in till you get to JV level in school.
And technically, for liability reasons and the cost of ice time, schools wont make hockey a school sport. I played 4 years of hockey through High School...and we only had 8 teams in the league...

my district(school district) is Arlington, and were called such, but in the papers we were called the Freedom Plains Admirals, cuz thats where my HS was located haha</P>

yea i liked it.
but i'll let you know, i had to totally change my perception of the movie. the trailers made it looks sooo badass! and it wasnt nearly as badass....it was just a good movie.
I'm not sure what I was expecting...but it didnt have the normal cohen brothers feel im used to.

No Country for Old men, Burn After Reading, Fargo, Big Lebowski...

all those movies had the same feel....this one was totally different</P>

U know hockey is BY FAR my 2nd fav sport, and once the Giants season ends I become a full time Rangers fan, but World Juniors was something I was (barely) interested in when I actually played highly competitive ice hockey....

These days its all NHL for me when it comes to puck....... Oh and 'The Whale' aka The Rangers minor league team. Now Morehead, does it KILL you that 'The Whale' is The Rangers farm team, over any of the other 31 teams??

If you look at my posts from last year when we hired Fewell, you will see that this was my biggest concern. Cannot disagree on that. The playbooks should be designed to the strengths of the players. You don't force the players to adapt to the scheme, a good coach fits the scheme to the players and monitors what is being done well and poorly for adjustments as the season progresses.

There is nothing wrong in theory with Fewell's system. Its been a good system in the league for a long time. The problem is that some of our players are not suited for it.</P>

so how is that fine? tc needs to fire both coordinators. a good coach designs plays to his players strengths. you can say ohh we had such and such sacks, this many ints. ok thats cause we have a great defense, it doesnt mean its not being mismanaged, the offense is a perfect example of that. it amazing how fewell got a pass on the eagles loss. he was BIG reason we lost that game, the division.

well thats also why TC needs to go, he doesn't play to players strengths, he does his thing and expects everybody to conform

You and I see eye to eye on that, but that fight is over. He is our coach and Fewell is definately back (thats actually OK with me) and almost certainly KG.</p>

u really thinkg Fewell is jus tbeing Rooney ruled? I mean its a probability, but still who knows.. all the players love him, he 180'd our defense, and he has some hc experience

"I love that Jeanie Buss' boy-toy had something to say about us,"
Cuban said while sweating on the stair-stepping machine in the Mavs'

but it's nice to know that she lets him speak in public about other
teams."</p>

When asked about Cuban's comments, Jackson said,
"Mark must be really worried. If he's got to comment on that, he must

At age 65, Jackson took Cuban's jab as a compliment. </p>

"I love it," Jackson said. "I consider myself an old man, to hear that I'm a boy-toy? That's terrific."</p>

There is nothing wrong in theory with Fewell's system. Its been a good system in the league for a long time. The problem is that some of our players are not suited for it.</p>

Don't forget, we did create a LOT of turnovers. But unfortunately the offense had more and put the defense in many bad spots.</p>sure there is mh. having your corners play 10 yards off their wr in the redzone is stupid play calling. we created a lot of turnover and sacks cause we have a great defense. ****, if we gave sheridan another shot with a healthy d he could (not in any way shape or form suggesting we should of kept him)of done just as well. i mean we started 09 off dominating on d. we need someone more aggressive.

I think with TC, he's set in his ways..he was a ruthless disciplinarian when he first arrived. He managed to water that down a bit, but still expects the team to conform to the plays. Of course, that's a way to coach, but a better way is to utilize your player's indiv. skill sets to your game plan.

Was reading a chat done by the Giants beat writer Ohm on ESPN and he said Thomas will be starting next year and he thinks they will draft someone to compete with Webster. I guess I was shocked to read this. Is Webster really not working? I thought he was or best corner? I remember everyone talking about this a while ago...what a mistake that would be. a rook competing with webster? come on now.
