all i gotta say is that Rodgers nad Peyton better win their ****in games. That will save some of the Giants disgrace we have
i really enjoyed the last paragraph. haha
Arghhhhhhh. I hate Year End.. They dam well better win those games. and if Fewell is going to stay I want to see bump and press coverage with 3 serious asse linebacker's.
</p>

If you look at my posts from last year when we hired Fewell, you will see that this was my biggest concern. Fewell plays a completely different scheme than we had played for the previous 3 years, and drafted accordingly. We drafted a bunch of press corners and now have a 2 deep "face the QB" defense.</p>

Thats fine, but our personell is not set up properly.</p>so how is that fine? tc needs to fire both coordinators. a good coach designs plays to his players strengths. you can say ohh we had such and such sacks, this many ints. ok thats cause we have a great defense, it doesnt mean its not being mismanaged, the offense is a perfect example of that. it amazing how fewell got a pass on the eagles loss. he was BIG reason we lost that game, the division.

well thats also why TC needs to go, he doesn't play to players strengths, he does his thing and expects everybody to conform
no tc doesnt call the plays. the only problem tc has, and its a big one, is he lacks the balls to fire people. hes loyal. its not a trait to have in life but it in football it is.

TC hires somebody to run the offense the way he wants and to have a balanced attack... he wnats to have it to a fault
yea thats my point. and gilbrid is anything but balanced.

u couldn't be more wrong

2007 - 469 rushing attempts, 544 passing attempts
2008 - 502 rushing attempts, 491 passing attempts
2009 - 443 rushing attempts, 542 passing attempts
2010 - 480 rushing attempts, 539 passing attempts

overall 1894 rushing attempts, 2116 passing attempts

that works out to like 48% rush, 52% pass... you won't find many more balanced numbers throughout the league. If any
im not talking overall. there were games where we got away from the run.

like when?

theres plenty of times we went to the run when we shouldn't of...

predominatly after an incomplete pass on first down, then we run on 2nd down gain 2-3 yards and get stuck in 3rd and long ALL the time
allllll the time. terrible. but there you go. pass run pass. pass run pass. he could go 50 50 but its his style during the games.

he committed to the run too much in certain situations, its what stalled out drives and why we were the kings of third and longs...

He doesn't know how to open it up... its either dink and dunk for under 5 yards, running at bad times or complete bombs down the field...

hence why i hate gilbride

Was reading a chat done by the Giants beat writer Ohm on ESPN and he said Thomas will be starting next year and he thinks they will draft someone to compete with Webster. I guess I was shocked to read this. Is Webster really not working? I thought he was or best corner? I remember everyone talking about this a while ago...

told u ****ers

btw u never mentioned othe rbacks u think are better than Bradshaw
just because it MIGHT happen doesnt mean its the right thing to do.

How the mighty have fallen.</P>

seeing as how we didn't overpay for Lee and Greinke would be in therapy if he came to ny, unfortunately it is.

But we'll still win the division. Lol only Red Sox fans thing Crawford was a huge addition
</P>

Crawford, Gonzalez, Jenks, Wheeler PLUS Yuke, Ellsbury and Pedroia all off the DL.</P>

Whats the record for wins in a season?</P>

webster has totally declined whether u want to admit it or not.

but either way we should be drafting a CB if not to compete with Webster, but to replace Ross (who i was also right about)

you know whats funny about moorehead.. he makes jokes about Bonderman, who still a young guy and is bouncing back from an injury and actually has a possible ceiling to him....

but then remember how he was cumming all over his keyboard when the SAWX signed Brad Penny? lol Did he even finish the year?

</P>

Is this what its come to?</P>

How the mighty have fallen.</P>

seeing as how we didn't overpay for Lee and Greinke would be in therapy if he came to ny, unfortunately it is.

But we'll still win the division. Lol only Red Sox fans thing Crawford was a huge addition
</P>

Crawford, Gonzalez, Jenks, Wheeler PLUS Yuke, Ellsbury and Pedroia all off the DL.</P>

Whats the record for wins in a season?</P>

</P>

116</P>

Good luck, want to bet you don't even reach 100?</P>

What was your prediction last season? 101 right</P>

</P>

Yes it was, but I hadn't anticipated that the Pawtucket Red Sox were going to be playing in Boston.</P>

I am actually very proud of my team last year. We definately overachieved with the injuries we had.</P>

</P>

Now this year you have high expectations. </P>

I hope you don't fool yourself into thinking the Yankees will be in the basement in the division. </P>

That spot is for the Blue Jays...</P>

http://kissingsuzykolber.uproxx.com/2011/01/haters-guide-to-the-postseason-new-york-jets-afc-6th-seed.html#more-33382

all i gotta say is that Rodgers nad Peyton better win their ****in games. That will save some of the Giants disgrace we have
i really enjoyed the last paragraph. haha
Arghhhhhhh. I hate Year End.. They dam well better win those games. and if Fewell is going to stay I want to see bump and press coverage with 3 serious asse linebacker's.
</p>

Thats fine, but our personell is not set up properly.</p>

so how is that fine? tc needs to fire both coordinators. a good coach designs plays to his players strengths. you can say ohh we had such and such sacks, this many ints. ok thats cause we have a great defense, it doesnt mean its not being mismanaged, the offense is a perfect example of that. it amazing how fewell got a pass on the eagles loss. he was BIG reason we lost that game, the division.

well thats also why TC needs to go, he doesn't play to players strengths, he does his thing and expects everybody to conform
no tc doesnt call the plays. the only problem tc has, and its a big one, is he lacks the balls to fire people. hes loyal. its not a trait to have in life but it in football it is.

</p>

I think we pass too much. Am I reading it correctly that you think we run too much?</p>

i think situationally we run too much...

hence why we settle for so many fgs and get caught in 3rd and longs
its kind of confusing to explain. i agree situationally we run too much at stupid times. but overall i think we are passing more than id like. gilbrid just ****ing sucks, how about that.

i dont agree with that... i like having a balanced attack... as long as its done right...

I think that our ability to run the ball gives us a heads up in this league. We should have way better passing stats but the truth of the matter is that our oline isn't what it once was. They have become better at pass blocking and regressed at run blocking. You have to pass to keep defenses honest.

To be honest i hate how predictable we are. I dont scout our tendencies and i can pretty much call what we're gonna do. Pappy loves it when i say that but its true.

I wish we would be a lil more predictable to be honest in a weird way. Like 2nd and short 3rd and short, **** doing a PA or pulling it out, LINE UP AND SMASH MOUTH

When its 2nd and long or third and long PASS THE ****IN BALL. Pass the ball on first down too.. i dont mind when we do that. Once u've established throwing the ball and keeping ur offense out of 3rd and longs then you can just explode with the run

Was reading a chat done by the Giants beat writer Ohm on ESPN and he said Thomas will be starting next year and he thinks they will draft someone to compete with Webster. I guess I was shocked to read this. Is Webster really not working? I thought he was or best corner? I remember everyone talking about this a while ago...what a mistake that would be. a rook competing with webster? come on now.

webster has totally declined whether u want to admit it or not.

but either way we should be drafting a CB if not to compete with Webster, but to replace Ross (who i was also right about)
great so add cb to the list of needs aswell.. seems we are pretty far away from being aSB team..

well i agree that our secondary was overrated by us all this year. Deon Grant was a great pickup and Thomas had a really good year, but then to the other guys

Rolle was in the running for DMVP at one point and then totally regressed as the year went on. It seems he gave up at least 1 TD the past 4 games of the year for big gains.

Phillips, jesus god. Lets hope he just isn't fully recovered from the injury because he was a GHOST this year.

Ross - absolute garbage

Webster- Still good, but declining. He isn't "the man" anymore and he is a big question mark in my eyes

but our LBs really didn't kill us this year. The DLine was so good (we need to resign cofield) that it helped Goff out who had a pretty good year and Boley had an outstanding year i thought. Bulluck didn't have the worst year in the world, but Sintim def did. I think we missed on him. But overall i wouldn't say we have any panic at LB

OLine while they did good is getting old and beat up. We're going to have to do something about this and add more depth or sign someone

RB situation is a question mark too. Who knows if we keep Jacobs at this money and who knows if we resign Bradshaw.

OL - RB - CB

other then that i don't think we have much to do

EDIT: Forgot about TE

no we need another corner, that i wont dispute, but if you think a rookies going to come in here and outperform corey for his job you are crazy. and it really doesnt matter if tt or corey is "starting corner" because they play sides.

u never know. TT came in his rookie year and out played Ross. Corey is regressing.

IDC what back slip has. I've seen him say some ridiculous things. Def one of the best posters here, but that don't make him 100%.

Webster is totally regressing and when on top of his game has def been better than TT has ever shown, i'd agree with that

Unfortunately that was in 2008-2009, we're now going to be going into the 2011-2012 season

lol tt DIDNT have a really good year. if you can find a stat who gave up the most completions, tds on the giants ill bet you 100 bucks tt name is number one on that list.

grant- was a big pickup, i want him back next year. very solid.

rolle- mehhh he was alright. not worth his contract imo

phillips was a ghost cause he was in the back field looking for ints and laying wood. phillips had a solid year minus the last 8 mins of the eagles game.

webster- had a pretty good year so stfu matt. [:D]

lbs- gotta say i was pretty impressed with what we have/had. goff came along nicley, didnt think that would happen. boley was great, bulluck was good when he got some playing time and sintim really wasnt on the field, and i agree were ok at linebacker. you guys think well resign bulluck?

OL- like you said theyve gotten better in pass protection but regressed in the running game. we need some youth.

rb- ughh did any of you read one of the papers the other day with bj clearing out his locker?
"click, click, click, youre all taking pictures of brandon jacobs leaving, wondering if hes ever going to return. that will be your caption for tomorrow. well, **** you all."
yeaaa. doesnt sound so good. big question mark there.

te- eli beat the **** out of boss this year leading him into big hits and i think its starting to take effect. dropped passes, not very boss like. amazing one handed catch the other night. beckem sucks at blocking but is a legit receiving threat.

feel like were going to have a very different looking team next year

Webster is hands down the BEST cover corner on this team, no doubt about it, its not even debatable. He has no worries about his job next year.</P>

We need more athleticism in our LBers. It will free up our safeties to freelance a bit more and get the the big plays(int returns) piling up. The safeties having to cover both their areas and our ****ty linebackers areas made them look not as good as they should have.</P>

well i agree that our secondary was overrated by us all this year.

OL - RB - CB

other then that i don't think we have much to do

lol tt DIDNT have a really good year. if you can find a stat who gave up the most completions, tds on the giants ill bet you 100 bucks tt name is number one on that list.

grant- was a big pickup, i want him back next year. very solid.

rolle- mehhh he was alright. not worth his contract imo

phillips was a ghost cause he was in the back field looking for ints and laying wood. phillips had a solid year minus the last 8 mins of the eagles game.

webster- had a pretty good year so stfu matt. [:D]

lbs- gotta say i was pretty impressed with what we have/had. goff came along nicley, didnt think that would happen. boley was great, bulluck was good when he got some playing time and sintim really wasnt on the field, and i agree were ok at linebacker. you guys think well resign bulluck?

OL- like you said theyve gotten better in pass protection but regressed in the running game. we need some youth.

rb- ughh did any of you read one of the papers the other day with bj clearing out his locker?
"click, click, click, youre all taking pictures of brandon jacobs leaving, wondering if hes ever going to return. that will be your caption for tomorrow. well, **** you all."

te- eli beat the **** out of boss this year leading him into big hits and i think its starting to take effect. dropped passes, not very boss like. amazing one handed catch the other night. beckem sucks at blocking but is a legit receiving threat.

feel like were going to have a very different looking team next year

Agree to a degree for the most part on all but the lb's. If our lb's are legit, then why is the formula to beat us down the middle of the field?

Was reading a chat done by the Giants beat writer Ohm on ESPN and he said Thomas will be starting next year and he thinks they will draft someone to compete with Webster. I guess I was shocked to read this. Is Webster really not working? I thought he was or best corner? I remember everyone talking about this a while ago...what a mistake that would be. a rook competing with webster? come on now.

Webster is on the decline and its obvious to anyone that actually watched him this year...

Thomas was hot and cold, but when he was hot, which was alot more than he was cold, he was playing great. And he was showing up in the run.

Phillips laid wood this year? Now i know you really havne't watched. Going for interceptions? He had one, so he failed. It dont matter waht he was trying to do, it was all unsuccessful. And he didn't lay any wood this year.

na Bulluck is gone. He said if hes not full time hes not gonna return. Hes not gonna get full time.

Beckum needs to stop being listed as a TE because hes not

</P>

Investing two 1st round picks and then another huge contract into the Safety position is not good business. Not to mention we would have had to trade up to get him and he's too small to play for the Giants.</P>

</P>

</P>

First of all he is a natural corner. Mack Brown said that if he stayed for his senior year at Texas he would have played corner.</P>

Second, he is PERFECT for the Fewell system. He's an incredible ball hawk who is great facing the QB. Yes, he went just before our pick and I was dissappointed because I think (despite Matts denials at the time) we would have taken him. I think he was one of the top five players in that draft.</P>

</P>

The Giants don't draft tiny players on defense. Regardless of how high you had him ranked, wasting excessive picks/money on safeties is not a good way to run a team. We wouldnt have drafted him to play corner, we wouldnt have drafted him to play safety. JPPwas our guy all day at pick 15.</P>

Couple things.</p>

Webster is hands down the BEST cover corner on this team, no doubt about it, its not even debatable. He has no worries about his job next year.</p>

We need more athleticism in our LBers. It will free up our safeties to freelance a bit more and get the the big plays(int returns) piling up. The safeties having to cover both their areas and our ****ty linebackers areas made them look not as good as they should have.</p>

</p>

we def need another OLB, but Boley and Goff are pretty much locked up. They had goood years

im sorry but tell that to GBs WRs. Rodgers pinpointed where Webster was at and threw on him as uch as he could. Webster regressed. Maybes its the system, maybe not but this is deciding year for him. He didn't play up to what we expected this year and last year you COULD give him the benefit of the doubt with injury even though he played 13 games.
</p>

Basing a player's play off of one game, awesome.</p>

Here, I'll do the same, last year Webster completely shutdown Fitzgerald and Colston so much so that the Cardinals and Saints, respectively, move them into the slot so they could get away from Webster. Oh dang, that's two games.</p>

</p>

based off one game?

i think not friend, that was just the example of the last game hes player.

Lol talk about adjusting reality. THEY ALWAYS move Fitz and Colsten all around the field

EDIT: Forgot about TE
lol tt DIDNT have a really good year. if you can find a stat who gave up the most completions, tds on the giants ill bet you 100 bucks tt name is number one on that list.

grant- was a big pickup, i want him back next year. very solid.

rolle- mehhh he was alright. not worth his contract imo

phillips was a ghost cause he was in the back field looking for ints and laying wood. phillips had a solid year minus the last 8 mins of the eagles game.

webster- had a pretty good year so stfu matt. [:D]

lbs- gotta say i was pretty impressed with what we have/had. goff came along nicley, didnt think that would happen. boley was great, bulluck was good when he got some playing time and sintim really wasnt on the field, and i agree were ok at linebacker. you guys think well resign bulluck?

Webster is on the decline and its obvious to anyone that actually watched him this year...

Thomas was hot and cold, but when he was hot, which was alot more than he was cold, he was playing great. And he was showing up in the run.

Phillips laid wood this year? Now i know you really havne't watched. Going for interceptions? He had one, so he failed. It dont matter waht he was trying to do, it was all unsuccessful. And he didn't lay any wood this year.

na Bulluck is gone. He said if hes not full time hes not gonna return. Hes not gonna get full time.

Beckum needs to stop being listed as a TE because hes not
nooooooooooooooooooo. smh. he showed up against the run, ill give you that. tt can be a top corner just like corey IF WE USE HIM RIGHT.

you have this thing where you think if someones name isnt being called hes not do his job. kenny was playing deep all season. see the lions game. teams really didnt try throwing the deep ball too much, the reason was kenny was back there

your hate for beckum is hysterical.

EDIT: Forgot about TE
lol tt DIDNT have a really good year. if you can find a stat who gave up the most completions, tds on the giants ill bet you 100 bucks tt name is number one on that list.

grant- was a big pickup, i want him back next year. very solid.

rolle- mehhh he was alright. not worth his contract imo

phillips was a ghost cause he was in the back field looking for ints and laying wood. phillips had a solid year minus the last 8 mins of the eagles game.

webster- had a pretty good year so stfu matt. [:D]

lbs- gotta say i was pretty impressed with what we have/had. goff came along nicley, didnt think that would happen. boley was great, bulluck was good when he got some playing time and sintim really wasnt on the field, and i agree were ok at linebacker. you guys think well resign bulluck?

Webster is on the decline and its obvious to anyone that actually watched him this year...

Thomas was hot and cold, but when he was hot, which was alot more than he was cold, he was playing great. And he was showing up in the run.

Phillips laid wood this year? Now i know you really havne't watched. Going for interceptions? He had one, so he failed. It dont matter waht he was trying to do, it was all unsuccessful. And he didn't lay any wood this year.

na Bulluck is gone. He said if hes not full time hes not gonna return. Hes not gonna get full time.

Beckum needs to stop being listed as a TE because hes not
nooooooooooooooooooo. smh. he showed up against the run, ill give you that. tt can be a top corner just like corey IF WE USE HIM RIGHT.

you have this thing where you think if someones name isnt being called hes not do his job. kenny was playing deep all season. see the lions game. teams really didnt try throwing the deep ball too much, the reason was kenny was back there

your hate for beckum is hysterical.

i guess, but hes not showing it. And for 6.5 to 7 mil if we plan on keeping this defence or whatever the last two years of his contract is up for debate. Giants dont pay unless you play. Ask Armstead

Kenny got thrown on ALOT. No force in turnovers, no force in pass rush, no big hits, no caused fumbles.

He did not have a good year. he was thrown on alot

Its not even that I hate beckum, i just think he needs to be listed as a wR and theres nothing wrong wtih that. The guy is NOT a tight end. The job he did when he had the chance was so god awful, that why can't we just list him as a WR. Eli likes him so i like him. As a WR i have no complaints, but the guy just isn't a tight end. Besides when Boss was injured how many times do u see him lined up with his hand on the ground.

It doesn't happen, he gets split out

THEY ALWAYS MOVE COLSTEN. Stop trying to act like it was Websters big shut down performance. And its so hard to prove that would be it anyway, especially with the game that Breez had.

I remember Breez just dropping back 3 steps and whipping the ball all over the field to open WRs. Like for you to say Breez just panned the field cuz Colsten was MOPPED UP with Webby, is crazy. Theres no way to even prove it with the way we got torched that day, but i'd imagine u are wrong and i am still gonna see if theres a way to buy game film

We will definately draft a corner and not late in the draft.</p>

I will say what I have been saying foe several years. <font color="#0000ff">We need playmakers on defense</font>. Not neccessarily at any particular position. I think we did well with JPP last year. I really think he's a potential great football player.</p>

But we need back 7 help and we need speed.</p>

</p>

Isn't that the reason we signed Rolle?</p>

we shoulda went after that Atogwe kid from STL.. he's a playmaker

didn't he resign befor eFA started?
i'm not sure.. i do know they threw the franchise tag at him some time ago. we need a few Canucks on this team..</p>

Thats the last thing we need.</p>racist... or whatever its called

Just to reitterate....</p>

Webster is the best corner on our team...</p>

no question...</p>This is true. My question is-if Rolle and Grant are so good. Then why did we get burned so frequently this season(not only the skins game) in the middle. It was routine for opposing teams to sustain drives while throwing short underneath routes on us.

Rolle absolutely regressed

Grant was brought in as a backup and was damn good for us for what we asked and what we paid. He was value buy of the year.

Grant was used quite frequently as a "4th LB" in alot of our sets. Rolle, started off so great, declined, but then the last 5-6 games i noticed he was used on blitzes constantly. not sure if thats a reason for a secondary with holes, actually...but i dont know.</p>

Linebackers didnt get enough depth on their drops. </p>

3rd ranked pass defense
15th ranked run defense

pass defense
against #1 WRs - 2nd
against #2 WRs - 7th
against other receiver - 31st
<font size="5">against TE - 3rd
</font>against HB - 11th
</p>

That TE # is mostly because of rolle.</p>

and the 3rd WR was mostly due to Phillips and Ross

LBers too, Boley had an off year of covering, but I thiunk it was because he was so aggressive at the line and attacking

I remember those two games (saints and cardinals) very vividly because I came on the boards and talked about it for weeks because people(like you) claimed webster had a bad day both of those days because of what colston/fitz did, when in reality they got their yards in the slot. Sure, they move Colston around, but they don't just randomly for no reason do it, as you're suggesting, it's to exploit matchups and Webster was a matchup they did not like, at all. The same goes for Fitz, except of course the Cardinals virtually never move him to the slot, but had to do so to get production out of him.</P>

Cool I'll tell you exactly what happened.</P>

Colston had either 1 or zero catches against webster, got moved to the slot. Webster was then covering Lance Moore rest of game, ended up with something like 4 catches</P>

Arizona game. They try two slants against Webster to Fitz, neither connect, Webster breaks them up, they move fitz to the slot, I believe Fitz's final statline against webster is 1 catch, 8 yards. I do not recall who else Webster matched up against in that game.</P>

no im not speculating but I do remember being displeased with Webbys play last year thoroughly because i was a big webby guy.

So im gonna do this just to test out your theory because theres so many reasons why it wouldn't be true

A) Breez stepped back and diced our defense right away. I doubt it was Webby just shutting down. There were wide open receivers every where.

B) You claim Webby was shutting him down and then they had to move him but by the end of the second offensive series Colsten had 41 yards and a TD

C) The Saints scored on every drive except the first one and the score was 34-7. First drive the jammed down our neck, next two they just ******d on us quick, then the next one we had a goalline stand on a long drive but then we ended up turning it over and they scored on one play after that for 7 yards

send me game tape of it and lets go over it. I am actually going to look and see if theres a way to buy game tapes now.

</p>

This was of course back when profootballfocus didnt charge to see the stats, but go ahead, buy the game film, I know I'm right, because I know what happened, whereas you're hoping you're right because of what you speculate happened.</p>

like i said im gonna look for those games and see if its possible. Otherwise its moot to argue

both teams move Fitz and Colsten
but even IF youre right what is your point? that both tt and corey are good so teams move the best wrs to the slot?

hes trying to disprove my overview that Webby has not been that good the past two years. His two examples of going against me are these two games... just looking to kill his point
</p>

he was very inconsistent in 09, but he was fine this year and most certainly a better player than TT this year.</p>

he had a better year this year than last...

but Thomas made alot more plays for us than Webby did. And Webby got thrown maybe not as much, but def more effectively if your going to compare Webbys thrown on to his completions vs Thomas's

Webster had two really bad games in '09, Brandon Marshall and Vincent Jackson made him look bad. Other than that he basically was lights out.</p>that was directed at matt. yeaaa the denver game was brutal. the knew our snap count. was at the chargers game jackson lit web up. should of won that game.

one mmb created. i think what gmen0820 exactly said was that "webster had a marginally better year than TT" or something along those lines, he didnt provide the exact stats but the stats that that comes from are the stats I said. It's ashame that website is so expensive, it was a really good reference.</P>

@ MMB: sounds good, let me know what you see and how much it costs. My big criticism is that Webster is not good on jump balls, there were plenty times last year in that Denver game where Webster was in great position but Marshall still made the catch(one was a sick one handed catch). I know the saying that "the perfect pass beats perfect coverage", but you have to win some of those if you want to be a great player in this league.</P>

well thats just part of my point though

with the god awful coverage that was going on all over the field that left WRs wide open, that doesn't equate to Webby shutting him down. I mean i remember Breez just stepping back and whipping it.

And he made it seem like Colsten was playing on the outside for the first half and webby was shutting down, then they were FORCED to move him into the slot.

but
a) They always move their whole offense around
b) Colsten had 41 yards and a score by the end of the second drive which was half way thru the 1st qtr

i didn't even bother looking into them to be honest

just saying... pulling some random guy (who might be someone like juice33) website who doesn't even throw his name or anything really into it isn't proving anything.

btw just checked, Thomas was 2nd in Pass deflections, tied in 9th for INTs, 4th in forced fumbles for all dbacks

those are just the stats, but i agree we have to go check the thrown on vs completions.

Webster is the best corner on our team...</P>

This is true. My question is-if Rolle and Grant are so good. Then why did we get burned so frequently this season(not only the skins game) in the middle. It was routine for opposing teams to sustain drives while throwing short underneath routes on us.
</P>

Linebackers didnt get enough depth on their drops. </P>

That TE # is mostly because of rolle.</P>

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=caple/110105_HOF_voting&amp;sportCat=mlb</P>

guy is calling HOF voters hypocritical for decision making, ignorance, and opinion swaying. Mostly in regards to "the steroid era", and it all kinda makes sense i suppose. He mentions how huge of an admitted problem amphetamines were before steroids became more commonly used, but all these players got into the hall...
cheaters who admitted it while playing (Gaylor Perry a la spitballs) got in, no problem...
but ppl like Jeff Bagwell who have never been implicated in any report, and deny ever using these same drugs... had great careers, get basically ignored.

Meanwhile, Roberto Alomar gets voted in...dont get me wrong, but ALLLLLL these sports writers who have their votes count all talk about character in addition to performance, and lets be honest...alomar lacked in that department.
Kind of a lackluster HOF class this year if you ask me. very boring. (Sorry, Blyleven)

my favorite part was when they that, for some reason in 2004 George Bush used the State Of The Union Address, to decry steroid use in baseball....
This would have been extremely meaningful if it was 11 years earlier when he was part owner of The Texas Rangers....
1993 for example was a great year..lol....Jose Canseco, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmiero...and arguably, Dean Palmer and Julio Franco(lets be honest...Franco played till he was 48....without steroids?? CMON!!! lol)

good stuff.</P>

great article and part of the reason i hate baseball as a whole...

i like how football does it... sweep it under the rug lol

these dudes get paid to PERFORM. And we want the best PERFORMANCES. And they get paid A TON...

if they choose to do this to themselves, then so be it. Cheating the sport?

PLEASE. LEts take care of those who corrupt the game by throwing things first then worry about steroids.

maybe, but thats ok, i still feel he deserves it. great pitcher in the steroid era, as far as im concerned.

I was glad I got to watch him pitch in person for the only time, in his last season, i went to a yankee/sox game in 08...granted he lost 2-4 cuz he gave up 2 HRs to Manny, but whatever...it happens. lol</P>

I've probably been to 30-40 Yankee games since the mid 90s(they JUST added the express train from Poughkeepsie to Yankee Stadiums last year, so prior to that, it was a pain in the *** getting there), and honestly, I've seen Andy Pettitte pitch AT LEAST 50% of those games. Dont get me wrong, I love Pettitte, but cmon, EVERY game I went to he pitched it seemed lol...
Last season I saw Hughes, Pettite, and CC in the only games I got to.
I also saw 2 grand slams in those games, 1 for A-Rod, 1 for Cano....I think im goodluck!</P>

</p>

maybe, but thats ok, i still feel he deserves it. great pitcher in the steroid era, as far as im concerned.

I also saw 2 grand slams in those games, 1 for A-Rod, 1 for Cano....I think im goodluck!</p>same with me man. iv gone to about 20 the past 10 years and almost all of them andy started. even went to citi for a subway series and andy started. reports are saying hes leaning towards retirement. gaaaaaay

ur missing his point. Hes saying even had we recovered, if we went three and out they still could of won.....

i know what hes saying but hes disregarding the amount of time left in the game. And he blatantly ignored my point about the drive we had when he said we weren't moving the ball in the 4th.

Actually we scored a TD and when we punted the first time within the last 8 minutes we had 2 first downs, then we tried to milk philly for their timeouts.

However, our mistakes had begun the series prior to the onsided kick--when mannigham(?) fumbled on the left sideline. I think our collapse had already begun.

Why are you guys talking about this? Was it not bad enough when it happened?

WTF else are we suppose to talk about?

I hate anybody thats talkin about the draft right now. Its so impossible to determine anything that why even bother

My lovely bride and I were supposed to have dinner last night with Lomas Brown but he had a long day (for some reason) at the Bridgeport Zoo taping an ESPN broadcast for Monday.</P>

We are now rescheduled for next Thursday. I told my wife that the questions for Lomas are now going to get tougher, regarding the Ravens/Giants superbowl, so be prepared.</P>

If there is anything anyone would like me to discuss with Lomas, let me know.</P>

I loved that team. The SB was tough but we were just no match for the Ravens D.</P>

The 41-0 game is one of my fondest memories as a Giants fan. Great, overachieving team.</P>
