How?

Everything he may do along those lines is completely selfless. You may disagree with him, but he seeks no gain for himself.

i don't disagree with him but we watch him for football, not for his religious message

I get that Matt, but the reason people (cough..Pizz) hate on the kid, has nothing to do with football.

oh no i agree..

and while i get just as annoyed with Tebow because of that **** like pizz does, it has nothing to do with him as the football player. To combine the two would mean that u better despise Lawrence Taylor. And if u dont ur a hypocrit.

Tebow the football player, that kid has done nothing but win and lead and get **** done. I never understood how a guy with such a big frame and athletic that can direct men and win championships would be pegged as a bust so early in his college career.

I hope he wins at least one superbowl tbh. Honestly i think it was the week 16 highlights on Inside the NFL. Just watch it

they knew they had one hour before they destroyed the New York Giants

Nah, that was after the Superbowl. I look at that pic from time to time and can't help but wonder how the last 3 years would have been if he never shot himself.

honestly? I firmly believe we win a superbowl in 08

No doubt about it bro. We beat every one of the last 4 teams left. Plus Eli would have taken a ring from Ben. Haunts us all...

well that basically is my beef with him...and i know Morehead thinks I make a big deal about it (big ****ing surprise), but if you don't like athletes who have big mouths, speak out agaisnt coaches, blame players, talk in the 3rd person....etc etc....all the things most ppl hate...well...then this is no different, in fact I think it's worse.

i actually 180'd my initial opinion but now i see the genious in signing plax to a 2-3 year deal. And i think its a great move, but i still juts can't support it 100%

na i think ur totally misreading the situation to be honest. I dont think it has anything to do with cool or gantsta or anything ike that, it has more to do with the way he it was shoved in the publics face during his time in Florida.

And not for nothing, i despise when they thank god for a TD.

but thats the beauty of it. Most of the time u dont know if they are pointing to god, or maybe just something they do for their kids or somebody thats passed.

Tim Tebow is my favorite non-giant football player for the record
lol why

go watch Inside the NFL episode of 2nd to last week of the season, the year of the qb special on him, and the fact that the kid was winning championships as a sophmore getting **** on and otld he'd never make it in the nfl.

His religious **** is obnoxious, but so is LTs off the field ****. On the field hes a ****in warrior and he shuts everyone up. Tebow is legit
iv never minded him.he crushed it in college, no doubt. dont know if he can do it on the nfl level. i also think people made a big stink of that abortion thing. its america, he can say what he wants, he wasnt trying to hurt anyone. i dont have an opinion on the matter. people should move on

Its amazing to me that when some people look at a guy who has a different opinion about something, they are immediately called "holier than thou".

Drives me nuts. (not that its a long drive)

its not that..

Hes let himself become a spokesperson and seems to try and convert people to his beliefs and ****.

Like dude, u play football. Just play the game. You can say what u want its a free country, but nobody really wnats to hear it

well that basically is my beef with him...and i know Morehead thinks I make a big deal about it (big ****ing surprise), but if you don't like athletes who have big mouths, speak out agaisnt coaches, blame players, talk in the 3rd person....etc etc....all the things most ppl hate...well...then this is no different, in fact I think it's worse.

I'm actually christian, baptist to be exact...was brought up that way, but once I reached a certain age, it just wasnt something we practiced anymore i guess you could say. Without me still going to church etc, I know above all to just be a good person...I dont have to practice religion to do that...and I DEFINITELY know I dont have to flap my gums about what I believe to be true because chances are, people dont care because they know Im just a good person.
Like Matt said, I find what Tebow says and does very pushy...and very...critcal..idk how to word it. I dont feel he needs to advertise his beliefs on ppl, and force them down ppl's throat in interviews and tv commercials. give me a break

Pushy? Does he ever say that there is anything wrong with anybody who doesn't have the same view as he does? I don't hear a lot of talk from him at all except football. You percieve him in a way that his actions do not support. I'm not especially religious at all and I don't have anything wrong with a kid who lives his life in that way.

He's honest, hard working, ethical and honest. Now these are bad things?

Nah, that was after the Superbowl. I look at that pic from time to time and can't help but wonder how the last 3 years would have been if he never shot himself.

honestly? I firmly believe we win a superbowl in 08
No doubt about it bro. We beat every one of the last 4 teams left. Plus Eli would have taken a ring from Ben. Haunts us all...

I know I'm in the minority here but I don't think the Plax thing had anything to do with our not winning it.

1. We put 40+ on Seattle with no Plax.

2. We killed Washington the week after the incident and moved it up and down the field all daywithEli throwing for 300 yards.

3. We put up 39 points on the road at Arizona when Plax played one play and got hurt

4. We put up 30+ vs. Carolina to win Home field advantage with no Plax.

5. Plax was having a lousy year. Very marginal effort all season.

To me, the Plax thing was an excuse. We just peaked too soon.

go ask Johnson (RIP) and the rest of the Eagles about Plax's MERE presence. We were stil an overall good team and we were able to beat an overrated Panthers team.

Seattle was one of the worst defensive teams in the NFL that year and Zonas de sucked too.

Washington had a decent year but they pretty much sucked too

Plus those Seattle and Zona games were while plax was still on the team and was GTD im pretty sure. Definitly for the Zona game at least, i remember that. Hixon was a decent football player and those were the games that teams got film on.... and then once we had to rely on him it teams were able to man him up and stack against the run... changed the whole dynamic of our offense

I know about all of that Matt.

Did it effect our offense? Yes. Were we forced to make adjstments to our offensive strategy? Yes

Is it the reason we lost in the playoffs. In my opinion, No.

\
hard to agree with u on that...

pretty much since we've lost plax the Eagles have owned us. They even came out with qoutes about how easy it was to shut us down without plax.

i mean honestly we scored 11 points and gave up only 23

Our WR's are better than ever now and they still own us.

yea but again, this isn't the same team as 2008. Now its more of a defensive problem.

i mean the first loss u could put on the offense, but it was becaomse of turnovers not cuz we can't move the ball I would say.

And I agree, but ur mixing the two up again... as i said before as a football player he may be my favorite non giant in the nfl, but all the religious stuff, i can't stomach

How was it thrown in your face. I'm not being a smart ***. I really can't remember any of that. Its clear that he is religious. I know he did missionary work abroad. I just don't know what constitutes "thrown in your face".

I am irritated by politicians who mix religion and politics, but the kid isn't a politician. he's just a football player who believes what he believes.

He's honest, hard working, ethical and honest. Now these are bad things?

are u really becoming daven or are u just trying to keep today interesting..

where did pizz or I ever reference any of that stuff?

Your taking this somewhere that we're not. We're clearly stating why we dont like him... ur trying to say we're attacking his honesty and hard work for some reason

No. I just think some people don't like him because he's not "cool". If he was a religious "gangsta" everyone would love him. No one dislikes a player when they "point to the sky" everytime they make a play (which I think is stupid, as if God cares about a football game). Or when they wear crucifixes around their neck.

na i think ur totally misreading the situation to be honest.

Most of the time u dont know and u dont know because its not shoved in ur face.

He definately wears it, but i don't think he shoves it in anyone's face. I certainly have not seen any of that since he's been in the NFL.

The kid has no negative impact on anyone's life. I can't say that about a lot of "glorified" pro athletes.

Being "irritated" by someone, doesn't qualify. There is a lot of talk about tolerance lately. But I only see it from one direction.

and i would agree that in the NFL he hasn't been, but in college u can't say it wasn't

well again, this may just be my personal thoughts of religion tha tmake me dislike somebody flaunting their religion in a public place where they could impact young minds just annoys me. All religions are cults in my mind. And personally its nobodies ****in business about abortion, thats how i feel.

But like i said i hate that sid eof him, but remember this all started because i said hes my favorite non giants football player.

I really can't speak to that since I didn't follow UF football at the time. But the kind if hatred thrown at this guy (and I'm not including anyone on this thread) is cheap and petty.

All this kid has done is work hard and smile through all of this. He has a lot of pot shots thrown at him. He never went after anyone and never (as far as I know) ever called anybody anything negative as a product of it.

I'm not sure I wouldhave beenas forgiving.

anyone picking Seattle to upset Da BearsThey won there this year already. The Bears remember that and will be prepared. After last weekend's upsets, nothing would surprise me thoughi want to pick Seattle justbecauseof Matty Hass..although he hasn't been able tostring good games together for some time know.. i didn't think there was a chance they'd beat "who dat" but good on em for it.. good luck #8

i say the Ravens win this weekend.. that six straight that Ben has won has been talked about to much.. the jinx is on..

I hope the jinx continues with Big Ben. It was fun to see who dat get handed that loss in Seattle. I realize 7-9 won that division, but to be able to host a playoff game with a 7-9 record? That was weird. I understand it was an anomoly, actually the first time a 7-9 teamhas made the playoff's.

Ihave always felt that Seattle got robbed in the last superbowl they were in with poor officiating. I am rooting forthe Hawks to upset da bears.

Good snowy morning.

Kevin Boss to have hip surgery:

Add Kevin Boss (http://www.nypost.com/t/Kevin_Boss) to the list of Giants players who need surgery after this past season.

Boss on Wednesday underwent a minor arthroscopic procedure to repair
an issue with his hip that was lingering during the season. Boss had the
surgery the day after his 27th birthday and hes expected to be fully
recovered before any real football activity resumes.
http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/giantsblog/giants_te_boss_to_have_hip_surgery_fkpOZtaArvjlh1b DajTKRO (http://)

I would bet I know the play of the season that did it to him. It was one of those strung out over the middle plays. He was limping afterward, but managed to continue. You could see the impact to his right side(rib/hip area). Eli's going to kill this poor guy.

i loved boss too...

but honestly i just dont he improved this year, i think he regressed and he is injury prone AND our only real TE. I mean Bear Poscoe developed a lil bit, but not to the point where i'd be happy with him being our #1

he just got a HUGE sleeve tribal last week...right now it's hollow, but its goign to be shaded "negative" or whatever...like starts out light, and then gets darker till the top where it's black. and then everything else he wants to get is going to go around the actual tribal

It's so permanent, I realize now that my thoughts, interests, like's change over time. It 's a very nice piece, including my childeren, hobbies, and a little nyg.

I fell off the wagon the other night. Billy at Mobil gave me

remember I was wearing a Mobil uniform and I

had that lifting medal around my neck. Billy took me , Oscar and Turibio to La

Mexican chicks thought I was a member of the military because I was wearing the
uniform Billy lent me.

When I woke up the next day my **** smelled like beans and rice and Billy told
me I married this big fat Mexican *****

named Rosa so she could get her green card. There were
pictures of me and her naked on a donkey. It was hard to tell

Rosa and the donkey apart. I have to tell the H. R. lady
at work that I want to claim four deductions for Rosa's
nino's

and nina's that she had with Oscar. They are now my responsibility. Does that
make me and Oscar related?

Can I hide out in your garage for a few weeks until I can get her deported? For
now I have her and the kids living in my

she had butchered two of my dogs for dinner.

"Cromartie might need all nine of his children to help him cover New England receivers." bahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa

i like Bradys subtle style to take shots....

first time he was asked about Cromartie... he goes "Yea hes a good player, REVIS IS A GREAT PLAYER, it'll be a good game."

lol

ftr... lets go Deion Branch
lol i really like that as well, hes always been like that.

i just dont understand cromarties thinking here. they/he was TORCHED by brady and the pats last meeting. why instigate? and whys he an *******? cause he made your team look like muff cabbage? he pointed his finger at you cause he beat you? a whole lot of whining coming from the jets imo.

wtf does he got to lose...

he was alreadyembarressed last game, it can't get worse. And hes already a joke with his 13 1/2 kids

IF he loses he continues to be the fool, if hes right he looks badass.

Tonight is / will continue to be...a rough ****in day!! =\

First, I woke up like 5 times in the middle of the night for no reason....
Got to work, almost fell asleep in my car...
Got inside, and threw up my breakfast and coffee (i think my Chantix prescription gets me sick on an empty stomach if i dont wait long enough), so that sucked...
Now all day i've been dragging ***, trying to get through my shift...
After work, I gotta throw a suit on, pick up my baby bro, and go to some induction ceremony for my father's NYSAR thingy...(apparently he's the president now? lol)
There's open bar...and if youre anything like me, if there's an open bar, you get after it JUST CUZ! lol

So its a long one, and all i been thinkin about all day is sleep.. [S]

yea i hear ya. its kinda of a big decision. I personally only said to myself "as long as you cant see them when im wearing short sleeves, it's acceptable" lol...cuz i wear polo shirts at work and we cant have exposed tats.
My brother got a half sleeve I guess id consider it? You can see it near his elbow when he has a tshirt on. Yea we're pretty close I suppose, but we dont live together anymore, so maybe not as much as we used to be.
My veritas tat is actually an ambigram. it looks the same now matter which way you tilt your head. lol
jacking that tat from boondock saints? its ok. i want the fighting irish guy from the movie the town with a gun and a bag of money. lol

but over all tats are stupid imo. i rarely see ones i like on people.

****ing awesome, lmao...

we got there at 6, and it was me, my 2 brothers, my brother's gf, my aunt and uncle, my 2 cousins, and my dad of course and his wife.
We were all *****ing how hungry we were, but we were like, **** it, lets hit the bar. So we got after it right away basically. 45 mins or so in, they started the ceremonies etc which took...idk, like 45 mins or so. My dad introduced all of us, and he introduced my cousin, who just got home from his 3rd tour in afghanistan, U.S. Marine Squad Leader Sergeant...as such, and he got the biggest ovation of the night, which was actually really awesome.
Then they did deserts, and opened the bar back up, sooooo we went back there and made fun of the entertainment all night. Running joke of the nightwas how "The Percesepe's were holding up shop at the bar, big surprise..." we spent a god portion of the night switching bars tosneak my youngest bother and other cousin drinks all night.
Anthem of the night was a chant dedicated to making sure you take advantage of the open bar in a timely fashion, where you slowly get louder "Get some drinks in, get some drinks in, get some drinks in...." etc. lol
Good time, even if it only lasted about 3.5 hrs.

He said that Tiki was a very nice guy but he thought when he started to become a star he stopped working on his ball skills in the off season. And thats why he had the fumbling problems.

He also said that the Raven defensive scheme was brilliant in that both Sam Adams and Saragusa would drop to the ground and clog up the middle and it was easy pickings for Ray Lewis to tackle Tiki when he tried to break it to the outside. he said you can't move 800 lbs. of guys when they are on the ground.

Yanks inked Raf Soriano.
This is actually awesome. I kinda already liked our bullpen, but now it's looking awesome. It's too bad Kerry Wood didn't stick around, cuz he was really good for us, but I understand.
Soriano will be our 8th inning guy, and closer in waiting...best part is, THAT WAS HIS decision. Classy.

Remarkable , LT, like abilities of Ray Lewis to run down Tiki on the outside.

Wow--We all saw the effects of the Ravens defense in that SB, who would of thought it was as easy as dropping to the ground and clogging holes. Remarkable , LT, like abilities of Ray Lewis to run down Tiki on the outside.
I could see Tiki doing that. Did he mention what Running backs off season ball skills consist of? Anything on Seehorn?

MH--When you get a chance, can't wait to hear about dinner at the Cheescake factory....I almost made it over there last night, but tumbling practice got in the way. :)

Well Lomas was just about the nicest guy you could ever meet. Got a few tidbits about the 2000 Giants but not too much we didn't already suspect.

(Like the fact that if you hit Kerry Collins early, his eyes would get as wide as saucers and they all knew it would be a long day)

I asked him to look as though I was teaching him something about football that he didn't know in this photo, but he could get himself to do it I guess.

Please notice that I am not jinxing him in any way like Matt did to Eli.

Jpizz--How was your Dad's award dinner last night?

Sounds like a great time. You are resilient, you were dragging ***, yesterday afternoon, I thought last night would finish you off. Congrats to your cousin and Dad. What did you drink and what did they serve? Did your Dad get anything, plaque , etc?

No. He did say that they had a really good defense. he seemed to like Armstead a lot. Of course I then mentioned the BS defensive holding call that killed us when we scored a TD on that play. He agreed.

I also told him that ESPN needed a fans perspective in First Take and he's looking into that. Who better than me. We both had some fun making fun of Eli too.

Oh Yeah.....He also said that everything Matt has ever said here is completely wrong.
