Lakers are on their way out, and the Clippers are the west coast team of the future. If Baron sticks some more years out, they have awesome young players to build on!

Of course he is. Loves it. We both know they won't make the playoffs. They are like the Blue Jays. Blake is awesome though. I really can't think of someone to compare his ceiling to? Malone mixed with Garnett? Kobe is still KOBE

stop it... u were even sayin last year he wasn't the same. You kind of saw it last yea rbut now u can really see it
He was injured and still might not be better. I love when you guys talk **** all year because it makes it so vindicating when we win it all. All the pictures you guys love so much. You think you would have learned by now but he well teach you again

*******!! what did the BlueJays ever do to you.. [8o|] < thats the super angry emoticon incase you are wondering

Californication is the best show ever. I dont need to say anything more about that.

the only sigs I personally made was the Osi one where he's sittin on Brady from the SB...

I have another Osi one that is more graphical that JerseyGiant21 made (dunno if shes on the boards anymore).

Blondie made my Smith on, the Hakeem Nicks one, and the Kenny Phillips smoke one

That show is good, it used tobe good Sunday lineup with entourage, cali, the psychiatrist. Your Osi sitting on brady is way cool. What software did you make it with? JG21 and Blondie did a nice job on those sigs for you. I have a fewvery nice pics(sometaken at the SB 42-no I was not there) of sacks by our guy's on Brady that you could make future sigs out of. Remind me if I space on remembering. Computer Graphics is one area I never had time to excel at....too busy with thespreadsheets.

just for the record about Rolle, this was his first year here. He wasn't here the past two years for those past two collapses. It seems alot of TC supporters like dezz are trying to make an issue with Rolle saying something and blaming him and calling him over paid loud mouth, than realize the fact we tumbled the past three seasons HARD the second half of the year...

Players fault? Yes partly, they play the game...

But its not longer just by chance this happens to us, this is a trend with Coughlins rule. We've seen and hear this **** form our players before.

Go read what STrahan said. Everybody is trying to justify that Rolle is wrong by what Strahan said. If u think about what they were use to with Coughlin before hemade these personal changes in 07, its great he changed so much from what he was. The players that saw him before and after may be happy with the changes.

BUT the thing that everyone is missing how is Coughlin, even with these changes, vs the rest of the coaches in the league.... this coaching style is not for everyone. Just because they guys that been here a while and the vets are saying "Well if u think hes bad now, u shoulda saw him in 06. Hes really not that bad", that may not connect with newer guys.

AGain... while its on the players, we've had different players but the same coaches for these past 3 seasons. Sick of seeing excuses for coughlin, we're 10-6 (yea but we couldn't beat any .500 team, lucky schedule), we won the superbowl 4 years ago (he was on the verge of losing his job before that season and lets ge treal, Spags def scheme won us that ring), he has a good regular season career record (i wipe my *** with regular season)....

DOes nobody else realize that we've not won ONE playoff game besides in 07 under TC?

ok let me point out a big difference in communicating Rolle's personal opinions...

he was asked a question in an interview....he answered truthfully, we assume..
he was asked a question about his disappointment in the season. It's kind of a leading question....and he's obviously not the kind of person to push those questions to his advantage much like Eli does.

It's not like the guy had gone on twitter and facebook flaming his coaches(or blaming God like Steve Jonhson did lmao). And it's not like he redirected questions to his own answers JUST to say he didnt like his coach.
Would I have answered the same way? Probably not...

COLLAPSINGevery year....
losing....
not making the playoffs 2 years in a row...
not winning a playoff game since feb. 2008....

losing....

i mean if you think these are acceptable things, then I could see why you think there isnt a problem.
coughlin cant fix these things anymore. or at all. it's not his style.

well u dont know that and its honestly ridiculous to say. A guy u never heard of could come in here and od a better job. Your being ridiculous. The team is underachieving with Coughlin and if u take out 2007, then we were pathetic with him. EVERY YEAR we were underachieving. ANYBODY can coach a team to underachieve and not win any games vs good teams.

That's simply not true. While it is true that every team wants to win a SB every year, it's just simply not possible for some teams to do so. So, a good barometer that front offices use is progress, are your young players gettin better and is your team getting better year by year? That's the fundamental question.

You will not find one single Bucs fan that felt that their team underachiever this year, if anything they'll tell you that they overachieved, and that's a team that didn't even make the playoffs. Other overachievers? Seahawks, rams, bears etc.

Underachievers? Giants, Vikings.

Teams that have done what is expected of them? Jets steelers and packers

In a sense of collapse, I believe Dezz(not speaking for you)and I were referring to teams not making it to the post season as collapsing. Perhaps inaccurate use of the word. I do agree now however, that the type of collapse NYG has suffered over the past 3 years is different and much more alarming.

Dez said bringing in a new unproven coach is settling for uncertainty. My point is every new head coach is unproven at being a head coach. Also every time you hire someone, draft or bring in a fa there is uncertainty. Its called change. The last 2 years have been terrible. You learn from your mistakesor you are bound to repeat them....

MMB-stating veteran players claim that TC is much better than 06, younger players don't care to hear that.

Jpizz-having a 10-6 record and not 6-10 has prevented this team from getting the type of attention that we as fans would like to see. If we went 3 consecutive seasons not winning a playoff game and going 6-10, I would like to think that changes would be made.

Dezz-True, alot of teams collapse, but we as giants fans would like to think that we have enough talent to prevent that.

If we eliminated the turnovers we would be could be hosting the NFC championship game in "our house"(not according the fireman ed -lol) this weekend.

I don't know what will fix the interceptions, fumbles and our other issues, maybe a coaching change, maybe not. We are going to have to pull the trigger and take the plunge soon enough. TC will be here for one more year-we all know that.

Alot of teams collapse? Im not sure i even agreewith that. How many teams were strong early and crash at the end of the year as consistant as we have the past three years?

And thats exactly my point about younger players and new players. Just because hes better form 07 to now than he was in 06 and before... doesn't mean everybody is on board. Thats why I was a little surprised to hear that out of Strahan. I mean he should realize the difference.

name them.

The ravens had to answer the same question a couple years ago when thy got rid of their SB winning coach. they hired harbaugh who has done one hell of a job. Similar thing happened in pitt with Tomlin. There's always a random guy out there who will be a damn fine head coach, just because mmb or myself don't know who it is doesn't mean that Reese doesn't have a guy in mindok good for the ravens and steelers. look at the broncos. it can go either way.

and look at the redskins with getting a proven coach... that cna go either way too....

ur just looking at a name

the irony of it is that if this was 2003 and we just fired Fassell, u'd prolly be pissed abotu signing Coughlin

no, Missing the playoffs two years in a row with the first half starts we've had, then not ever winning a playoff game except for 07 - those aren't two points that hsould be overlooked

But, in my opinion commonly are due to our record being 10-6 and just missing the playoff's as oppossed to 6-10 or 5-11 and really stinking it up and having our record demand change.

a 10-6 record with 1-4 vs any team that was .500 or better

and it was because Fewell was able to kill Cutler...

10-6 alone looks good and just bad luck, but the truth of the matter is no significant wins, no regular season big wins. Last year was pathetic, the year before we were superbowl favorites and were one and done.

I hate that 10-6 thing because we couldn't beat anybody worht a damn

Falcons dont have a better team than the PAckers IMO. You have alot of subjective **** here...

its really not that subjective that the Giants hsit the bed this year.

define collapsed... and not for tnohing, the Colts were in the superbowl last year. So even if they collapsed this year, its not a common thing. Saints won the superbowl last year. Falcons overachieved, not that they aren't good, but they weren't the best team in the NFC, Chargers are always in the mix because they play in the worst division in football, my second to last after this year.

GIants have had three years in a row of terrible endings

Bottom line is that all but one year of TC's tenure we have started off hot and limped our way into the playoffs. We ALWAYS peak too early and that is very problematic, Especially since is the norm during tc's tenure and not an anomaly.

the main piece

if we lost while NE scored 14 it would of been because the offense lost it for us by not doing their job. If u can't outscore 14 points then ur offense lost for u..

The defense shut down one of the most prolific offenses IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME.

Biggets part was Spags and the defensive game plan.

Couple things.

We didn't adjust our offense when plax went down and kg assumed that hixon would be able to step up to the plate for plax. That's badcoaching.

Secondly. The two years before that we also started off 5-2 or 6-2 and limped into the playoffs those years as well. That's 5 years not just the past 3.

ehhh i dunno about that tho

ur talking we went into the season shorthanded, imo at the time, with Johnson as a starter. So once Phillips went down it was an automatic hole in our defense.

On top of the guys we lost, Osi was coming back off injury and wasn't right, Tuck, Webster, and Berndard played with injuries that could of kept them out.

A guy like Canty and Ross were hurt so early i nthe year they never really had a chance to get in football shape...

lost ur field general, the defense crumbled

and on top of that a DC that nobody liked and sucked. But that u can put on Coughlin

This is a possibility, that always exists. You guy's all make great points-

Saints started off 1-3 or 2-3, pats also started off very slown and got hot late.Time and time again, it has been shown that it's about getting hot at the right time of the season-last few weeks into playoffs....youknow, like the jets.

C.C. and Hughes then sing the blues. Even Hughes is no lock. Last year could have been a flash in the pan

You mean like Dice k?

Yeah but Dicey is our 5th starter. Hughes is your #2.

He is your 5th starter, and gets paid #1 starting pitcher money.

Good job Theo

Yes but our #1 and #2 starters are getting paid #5 starting money.

Great job Theo.

Lester will be getting his big pay day.

And your #2 is Beckett, 68 million for 4 years. I guess Theo did not see Beckett is regressing before he gave him that contract extension.

Please tell me your not saying Bucholtz is your #2?

17-7 with a 2.33 ERA.

If you think he's our #3 then you are paying a great compliment to our pitching staff. Its nice to see that you have sufficient sophistication to say such a nice thing about your rival.

Good for you.

So one good season and he is your #2 starter?

So who's your #2 then? Hughes only had a good 3/4 of a season.

Buchholz is aright handed version of Johan Santana. Once he started to rely on his change (which is a minus 15 change up off his fastball, almost unheard of) he has been nearly unhittable.

Tell me who has better stuff than this kid. Now he's demonstrated the command to go with it, and the fearlessness to throw any pitch in any count.

The kid is the real deal.

Now I know your high..

I can name a few pitchers who have better stuff, but thats for a whole other conversation.

Hughes won 18 games last season, say what you want but at 24 years old that is impressive.

Didn't you just suggest that a pitcher shouldn't be a #2 starter if they have only one good year?

You want it both ways son. I guess when its on a starting rotation thats as weak as the Yankees, its a lower standard.

Now I get it.

And you need to watch Buchholz pitch more. 95 to 98 MPH fastball with an 80 to 82 MPH change. Plus absolutely killer breaking stuff,

Very angry response. I'm sorry the prospects for your team are not encouraging this season, but that doesn't give you the right to lash out at my friend, Landon.

Would a hug help?

I'll take one, thanks MH, my back hurts from snow removal.

We finally broke down and bought a snow blower a few years ago. Thats a decision I will never regret.

In 2003, we did the same. Well worth it. My driveway starts at the road and declines toward my Garage. At the garage there are railroad ties on one side that stand 5' high and 4' high on the opposite side. the amount of snow we have got is making the mounds on both side too high for the blower to get over.

Today, I chopped down the mounds. I had to do that by hand. Aye, mami!! Lots o work![:'(]

We all hope our baseball teams to well this year becauseI have my doubts as to whether there will be any football until late October or November....If then.

The owners have a huge upper hand and due to their TV deal (which pays them even if there is no football) they want to set the terms of a future CBA.

We we won 89 games with a triple AAA lineup for most of the season. I'm proud of my team. They didn't underachieve like my football team. Now that Yuke, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Beckett etc. are back and healthy, I look for an outstanding year.

Try to find an obective expert out there (like me) who disagrees.

Ellsbury, Peatey, Crawford, Gonzo, Yuke and Papi at the top of the lineup. Lester, Buck, Beckett, and Lackey as the top 4 in the rotation. Wheeler, Jenks, Bard and Paps in the bullpen.

Thats a hell of a baseball team.

Freak injuries by players who rarely got hurt before. Pedroia fouling a ball off his foot and breaking it. Ellsbury breaking 2 ribs in a collision in the outfield. Buchholz straining a muscle running the bases. Martinez breaking a finger on a foul tip. etc......

It was a crazy set of events. But it only makes us more determined this season.

The quality of play is first rate, the rivalries are awesome and it's a safe bet that one of them will be national champ. I'm just going to enjoy watching the Red Sox win the World Series. I figure at that time the NFL will be ready to resume. That is true. There is too much money in play for all of them to hold out much past then. Some of the owners have hugely deep pockets but even some of them need the cash flow to meet financial obligations. We will have a season next year.

However, lot's of things need to be considered, I'm interested in how they will setup the schedules if we start playing late October, with division games, etc..

Season tickets should have no oppossing teams on them this year....just be games #1-9.

not a sports reporter was harrassed by a single jet bafoon

their jockstraps were hungin the equipment room with care

in hopes that st. victory would soon be there

Cromartie's 8 childeren were nestled all snug in their beds(in different homes)

when out on the gridiron arose such a clatter

Rex Ryan sprang from his bed to see what was the matter

which is quite asight from a man all that much fatter

No, it was not Sal Alosi practicing his tripping

but something much more special, much more gripping

Rex peered into the laundry room and could not believe

Surprised and excited from what he did see

Michelle in a laundry cart, feet in the air, dirty socks everywhere, a stench too strong to bear

He sprang into action, camcorder in hand, to jointhe feetivities, oh it's so grand

From Michelle's little pinky tohairy big toe, Rex reached for tinactin, but it was no show

With feet treat complete, it was now time for sleep

and Rex's hopes that this Sunday would not spell defeet.

Sooooooo....had the Winter Gala on Saturday night for my job, as I was telling you guys last week...
Pretty awesome formal event they do every year..
WHAT A ****ING SH*TSHOW!!! lol
just under 600 ppl in attendance this year(more than ever), and half of them had to be fall down drunk. kinda made me proud as an employee. lmao...
was a cash bar(cuz we have a large amound of under-21 kids) but I brought 2 flasks, as did alot of ppl at my table lol.

Well....I'd like to say it was the best night ever, but I'd be lying...not because I didn't have fun, but because I blacked out before leaving the grandview. lol
Apparently I was in rare form, but described as my friends as "****ing awesome". And was told that "my game was difinitely on". Apparently at the bar attached to the grandview, shadows, some of my friends showed up a few mins after me, and I was ready to leave already....had a group of 4 girls with me to go to another bar, and when asked where I was going and why i was leaving already, was quoted as saying "dude, theyre my best shot tonight!" "wait, which?" "i dont know...all of them"

I only remember some parts of the night that i've tried to piece together from stories, faint memories, and such.
I woke up next to thee blonde in my bed, so I can only assume it was anawesome night...

now lttaylor, you can relive your weekend vicariously thru me.

1.) Who CARES how many playoff games Sanchez won? Eli has the more important stat = 1 superbowl title + mvp.

2.)By your standards, the Bills must have been a better franchise than the Giants in the mid 80s and early 90s since they went to 4 straight superbowls, and lost them all, meanwhile the Giants only went to 2, yet won them both!!!!

great day to be alive gentlemen... great day to be alive...

If only they could of held them on that second touch down, my prediction of 24-13 would of been golden at 24-12

Not a great day at all for me. I know that if we hadn't blown that Eagles game, that NFC championship game would probably have been at the Meadowlands yesterday. To me, the Jets are irrelevant.

(And if they are relevent to you, it must bother you that they have been to the Conference championship game in the past 2 years where we didn't even make the playoffs either year)

But if you're OK with that....go for it.

na they come home with nothing but a pat on the back and ****ty draft spot... at least if u win the conference u have something. I find it a sweet victory that they've been on the breach of it twice now and **** the bed.

Speaking about the football aspect only, the Jets did a nice job of coming back in that game. They showed some guts. I haven't seen that from our team in a couple of years.

I can't speak to all the other "issues" some of you seem to have in the greater NY/NJ area with Jets fans.

But footballwise, the Jets have nothing to be ashamed of.

doesnt bother me they were there....they cant win the games, so it's not like it impresses me very much. lol
of course it does bother me that we didnt make the playoffs for 2 years straight...ugh.
fail

Sanchez has won as many playoff games in 2 years,as Eli has in 7.

Its just this whole "Ha Ha Jets fans" from fans of a teamwho would love to have achieved what the Jets have in the past two years, is kind of petty and misplaced to me.

Jets are better than us, and have succeeded more than us. And some Giants fans attitude just makes it easier for their fans to rightfully shove that in our faces.

u have no clue what ur talking about, stop being ignorant. You say we don't know about the 80s NBA cuz we didn't live thru it, you have no idea what jet fans are actually like because u dont live here and live thru it.

They are the closest things to philly fans you know

cause you live in mass and arent surrounded by annoying jet fans. stop being bitter. you said you hated sanchez during hardknocks so whats the problem now? and greenbay would of shredded us regardless. they have a great team.

I'll tell you this. The Jets got down 24-0 and they kept fighting and made a game out of it. When our team got down to the Packers in our biggest game of the year, we laid down like cheap hookers.

The Jets have nothing to be ashamed of. They kept fighting.

yea they do. And the onyl reason they do is because of how they ran their mouths. All the predictions, all the **** talking, and they dont even get into the big game after being preseason favorites. Its gloryful.

Only reason Jets were in it was because Taylor slipped at line of scrummage so Holmes could run free for a 45 yard bomb...

please... get real

lol cause they have an amazing defense. sanchez is ****ing garbage. stop making it seem like hes the main reason they got there. the jets are built to win now, if they had a decent qb theyd be going to the sb right now.

I'm not trying to make it sound like anything. I just stated a fact.

PlusI actually thought Sanchez played well yesterday.

he played like ****... decent second half, awful first half

I understand. I've had to deal with arrogant Pats fans for years. But I'm talking about the football on the field and the players and coaches involved.

They played hard, and they had a much better season than we did. They just aren't as good as the Steelers. But they didn't quit, like our team has in the recent past.

actually michael kay was on the radio saturday talking about if the jets lost yesterday, would jet fans be dissapointed? or would they realize that they have a great team and actually be excited that the year before wasnt a fluke and theyre contenders

You are either a TROLL or an IDIOT, perhaps a little of both.

1.) Who CARES how many playoff games Sanchez won? Eli has the more important stat = 1 superbowl title + mvp.

2.)By your standards, the Bills must have been a better franchise than the Giants in the mid 80s and early 90s since they went to 4 straight superbowls, and lost them all, meanwhile the Giants only went to 2, yet won them both!!!!

jetys are clowns of ny/. nyg ARE KINGS.
