This probably just me, but I get pre-conceived visions of what people look like based on their avi/sig etc. Completely stupid, I know. So my mind automatically connects a forum name with a sig/avi.

so he says....

you will likely meet everyone "besides" Dezz.

so far we have...

#1) Oh I blazed too much this morning can't get there.
#2) My Girl won't let me go...
#3) I don't have a car
#4) I sold the tickets.
#5) I couldn't find you.
etc etc etc

Dezz doesn't want to meet up, we have his number we call him while we are there he doesn't answer or if he does he has some excuse for why he can't come, really I think he lives in like Australia or something and is just "saying" he has tickets to try to seem cool or something.

You go to games regularly, right. We will meet. We have to co-ordinate a game we all attend.

so he says....

you will likely meet everyone "besides" Dezz.

so far we have...

</P>

This probably just me, but I get pre-conceived visions of what people look like based on their avi/sig etc. Completely stupid, I know. So my mind automatically connects a forum name with a sig/avi.

It confused me a bit when I met RF and he did not look like Wellington Mara. [;)]

Moorehead, I saw him at the cheesecake table with the ex -giant , contrary to popular belief , he doesn't resemble gogo in any form.

JP-Didn't his face used to be in MMb's sig?

Does Dezz resemble Jeter?

lmao, dude i think ra would look like mara too. i do the same though. and no i dont look anything like jeter, although i am still rather handsome[:)]
ok, so if you do the same thing, are you going to be disappointed when you meet me and I don't look like a perfect pair of silicone enhanced breasts? I mean, I can't compete with that.
we will never meet.

the most awkward part about meeting up this year was how insanely tense it was before and after.

Before the game, it was SOOOOO much fantasy football beef...like we all wanted to literally kill each other...
then we went to the game, got over it....
then the following week we were all so pissed at dezz, and Lando specifically flipped the **** out lol. looking back it was funny....but it was an awkward few weeks surrounding the lions game. =]

I figured if Dezz doesnt wanna meet up with me specifically in comparison to everyone else around here(cuz i consider dezz my boy), then he basically has lost interest at this point.</p>

**** YOU DEZZZR!!!!</p>

which ever station hosts the Superbowl gets to decide who interviews the president superbowl sunday, fox chose Bill O'Rielly...

Personally I would be looking forward to it, but I already know whats going to happen.

O'Reilly will ask perfectly acceptable questions...

he'll ask about the Egypt situation, he'll ask about the ruling on Healthcare, he'll ask about unemployment.

Obama will come back with..."Come on Bill, we should be talking about football, this is superbowl sunday" jajajaj

his normal avoid giving an actual answer crap, he'll mention something about "investments" and then he'll take a year off from any serious interview.

I can't even stomach him anymore Obama really makes me physically sick, there is something wrong with a country that lets that man lead it.

What did you guys think of the superbowl? I thought it was a good game 06..of coarse its not like watching our Giants....I thought GB would win but by a bigger margin perhaps but hey doesn't matter win a win ...and hey it fueled the Eli /Ben debate should get us throughoff season...[:|]

i dont think alot of ppl felt that way outside of steeler nation.
green bay has the better QB, better WRs, better secondary(overall). The teams were equal at pass rush i would say, and all that leaves is Pittsburgh's running game.
Was a good game, and I thought GB would win by double digits, but, they still won, so that was easy. lol</P>

absolutely. every facet of Ben's game that makes him a good QB....Rodgers is basically better at. the only thing I give rapistberger the nod to, is his ability to avoid a sack AS it's happening. I dont mean scrambling, cuz clearly rodgers can do that too...i mean like, rolling the shoulder...just narrowly escaping daaaanger. lol</P>

</p>I was of the same mindset before this game, giving the strength to win to the steelers. I was wrong. GB had a great game plan, once there was pressure on Rothy to throw he was ****ed. 2 pics and then the mendy fumble and that was game. Clay matthews could of been mvp or that white receiver as well.

When basic is all that is required with an offense the job get's done and the steelers made it to the superbowl again this year. I consider Ben to be similar to Sanchez. As long as there are no turnover's 9 out of ten times their offenses are built to win with only average play reequired from the QB.

I have to tell you, I know Wallace had a TD catch last night, but he played a horrible game. He is a speed guy right now and nothing else. Good point by JP on importance of defense.

I saw a stat flashed last night that said , Rodgers was hit 10 times and hurried 16 times? Is that accurate? Very impressive play by Rodgers amidst that kind of defensive chaos.

IN THREE GAMES!!!

I forget how to calculate passer rating, but the avg for the games was a rating of 66.4</p>

turrrrrble</p>

</p>

He was the best player on the field in SB 43. I thought he was fine yesterday. His only "Eli moment" was the throw into coverage in the middle of the field for the 2nd pick.</p>

Other than that, I thought he played well. So did Rodgers. </p>

</p>

of course u would...

Ben had a decent performance last night. But i wouldn't say he played well. Rodgers lit it up.

Upsetting performance from ben lpast night. I would not be happy with his play if I was a Steeler fan. I guess it was a step up from last game

I have to tell you, I know Wallace had a TD catch last night, but he played a horrible game. He is a speed guy right now and nothing else. The first pick where Ben got hit, for some reason he kept running away from the ball. Plus he did a bad job on the 2nd pick not fighting for the ball. (although that was a bad decision from Ben, and the pick was definately on him)</p>

i couldn't disagree anymore. He made that scoring drive happen and ended the game with 9 grabs. I think ur def off onthat. Personally I think he didn't want to break back on the ball cuz he didn't want to draw his defender to the ball and didn't see the saftey in his blind spot come break on it.

That or he lost the ball in the light

a decent performance isn't an upsetting performance from the guy thats suppose to be made out to tbe the messiah? He didn't play good, he didn't play bad - he played decent. It was also his best performance of the postseason, just not saying much

I reeeeally wish Usher did something to make me dislike him...but alas, I cannot, for he is one of the most amazing entertainers since....well, idk, I didnt care much for michael jackson, so im just gonna say Usher is better....

as for LT's comments about the lights, etc....yea thats all fine and dandy...but if there's no artists in the area, what good is it?
and the Slash thing would have been cool if Fergie didnt murder one of his songs. what a sellout lol

if Usher were the half time show by himself, and whoever he wanted to invite, that woulda been different</p>

all in all, it was one of the most painful things to watch.

then again, it's hard to compare to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.....so us Giants fans will always have that goin for us! =]</p>

</p>

The Black Eyed Peas are not exactly to my taste. But I thought the show had a lot of energy. </p>

oh and i just wanted to take a quick moment to say that BEP in the half time show was the most awful music performance i've ever witnessed. ever....
thank GOD Usher is their saviour, and was able to salvage any bit of hope for something entertaining.

I reeeeally wish Usher did something to make me dislike him...but alas, I cannot, for he is one of the most amazing entertainers since....well, idk, I didnt care much for michael jackson, so im just gonna say Usher is better....</p>

Hah!. I thought Usher was the worst part. Fergie is a great entertainer. I thought the energy of the entire performance was really good.</p>

But its all a matter of taste I guess. I would have preferred the Cowboy Junkies.</p>

well the iron man thing was like that one we did lats year. I just felt it got too plain so me, blondie, and that other guy that ran the league tried to make something so u can pick someone every week

I mean the ultimate goal is to make sure u can field an awesome team in the Superbowl and don't pick urself into a corner where if somebody moves on to the next round ur screwed

Blondie won the Ironman too i think

Its all very unofficial but im pretty sure

I like how Showtime programming has made HBO look like ancient history in the past few years.
Hopefully the show Game of Thrones next year will salvage HBO programming, cuz right now they literally have nothing as far as I'm concerned. Imiss when Entourage was THE ****! now its just....****. lol

lol ur ****in nutssssss

Entourage, True Blod, Bill Maher, Boardwalk Empire all top anything on showtime

Real Sports and ANY sports documentry is TOP NOTCH. The Lombardi, Duke vs UNC, and all of that **** is superb.

i'll never understand why they got rid of inside the nfl

True blood, ehhh 50/50-it's personal taste. Entourage in it's hay day--yes, now, not as much. I still love entourage. Dumping Inside the nfl was a poor decision. Yes, their sports stuff is top notch.

what?? Please believe that I have watched all those shows for MULTIPLE seasons.
Starting with the newest, Boardwalk Empire, which i did like, until I realized the show neversped up. Amazing story, it jsut fails to deliver in my eyes. I do understand why ppl like it. perople (including myself) like period pieces, but I just couldnt get into this one. just too slow.
Entourage has gone downhill every single season since the end of season 3, and it shows no signs of stopping. i will reluctantly suffer through one more season, in hopes that the movie that comes out after the series finale will make me remember why i loved it 5 years ago.

True Blood I thought was going to be cool after seeing the first season, but the 2nd one totally lost me lol. And although the last one started to be cool, I kinda just lost interest because it seemed too far gone. idk, thats strictly opinion of course.

I dont actually have HBO so I cant speak for the sports shows, although I think i've caught a documentary or 2 by them, so i wont judge that.</P>

I like thing that aren't like anything else....like Matt.</p>

its been totally done... but the twist on it is what makes it cool.

A) the fact that Vampires exist and knowingly live among the people

B) its not just the typical vampire/wolf thing. They introduce so many different types of things it makes it cool

Keep in mind, this was the first one. It wasn't til True Blood got big did this whole wave of garbage come out. They at least took the concept and did alot of different things with it

well, what started to make it start getting old for me....was like the end of every season, after season 3, was just bad...there was no good endings, everything was depressing, and then the seasons following each finale built off that...and you figure itd take a turn, but it just wouldnt. it's weird to me...its like the writers ran out of material or something...not sure.</P>

well, what started to make it start getting old for me....was like the end of every season, after season 3, was just bad...there was no good endings, everything was depressing, and then the seasons following each finale built off that...and you figure itd take a turn, but it just wouldnt. it's weird to me...its like the writers ran out of material or something...not sure.</p>

Eli did have his moments where he just wasnt protecting the ball, but lets be honest....
It's MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to adjust your speed, body, arms, and hands in order to catch a ball, than it is to throw with 100% pinpoint accuracy. When the description of a wide reciever is to catch balls thrown by a QB...lol...well thats kinda what i expect.

Eli did have his moments where he just wasnt protecting the ball,</p>

of course, he had his terrible moments, he always does, but when 10+ Interceptions can be blamed squarely on the ball bouncing off receivers hands you have to take the "Int" stat with a grain of salt.

if Eli was 4000+ Yards 31 TD and 15 Ints noone would be complaining in the slightest.

No, I didn't, but you already knew that :P

If it's hitting receivers in their hands it then becomes their responsibility, I do not care if it's a little behind or a little high, yes, bad throw, but not every throw is going to be perfect, if it hits their hands at the very least the receiver has the responsibility to not let it get intercepted.

Daven's percentage is a bit high....but, clearly 60-70% of the INTs were tipped balls of the hands of WRs. I mean i know we've had this debate since mid season, but it surprising that you still ignore that fact. Eli cant MAKE the recievers catch the balls. if their hands are on it, they shouldnt have an excuse to not complete the reception. it was hard to watch.

MH, you are complaining that Eli's passes were not pinpoint accurate. and thats being ignorant to the fact that it's impossible that every pass could be, and should be DEAD ON. it's just not possible. thats why the best athletes on your team are usually WRs. they should be all over that ****.</P>

Actually I think your percentage is a bit high, I said 10 of his ints, he had 25, so I'm saying slightly less then half of the ints were (mostly) the receivers fault, every single int is at least partially Eli's fault.

I'm saying I can remember around 10 ints hitting receivers hands before being picked off, and if it hits the hands of a receiver then most of the responsibility (85-90%) transfers to them.

I mean i know we've had this debate since mid season, but it surprising that you still ignore that fact. Eli cant MAKE the recievers catch the balls. if their hands are on it, they shouldnt have an excuse to not complete the reception. it was hard to watch.

Daven's percentage is a bit high....but, clearly 60-70% of the INTs were tipped balls of the hands of WRs.

Agreed, MH has seemed oblivious to that fact all season.

</P>

and lets not forget a good portion of Eli's picks were in garbage time of blowouts just chuckin the ball down field in desperate attempts....

Eli's interceptions are not where we'd like them to be despite keeping all of this in mind, but they are heavily over blown

ur right but its just the point that I would say he typically had more. I would ball park like 4 or 5...

but either way the moral of the story is that his turnovers while are not something that is what we should be happy about, we need to accept the fact that he is going to make throws in tight windows and get the balls to the WRs, but saying hes regressed because of that number is a joke.

Our WRs are still very good but wet behind the ears in some areas. IF you want to deny that, thats fine, but when you want to come back to reality i'll be here welcoming you with open arms [{]

that's why I added they extra "Blame" attribute, yea, all QB's have ints because a receiver ran the wrong route here or there, maybe 1 or 2 tipped ball ints a season.

but Eli had upwards of 8-10 TIPPED Ints Alone if I remember correctly, that's unprecedented from what I've seen over the years, I think having this many Ints will go down as these receivers mature.

I'm being optimistic here MH, that's VERY rare as you know, so stop poking us believers with a the stick.

why is it we hold our RBs responsible for putting the ball on the ground(except that Clay Matthew punch out which was like the defensive play of the year in my eyes, i love that ****).....but when a WR doesnt catch a ball its acceptable "ehh, it happens"
**** no....when youre only job is to catch a ****ing football, you catch the ****ing football....
Running backs have to make their own judgement calls in terms of paths/lanes to take, which way to cut on an approachingdefender....but bad judgment is never called out on WRs when there's an INT involved....
Why are those types of INTs on Eli?

Like I said, i know alot of them had nothing to do with the WRs, but some...cmonnnn maaannnn!!

that's why I added they extra "Blame" attribute, yea, all QB's have ints because a receiver ran the wrong route here or there, maybe 1 or 2 tipped ball ints a season.

but Eli had upwards of 8-10 TIPPED Ints Alone if I remember correctly, that's unprecedented from what I've seen over the years, I think having this many Ints will go down as these receivers mature.

I'm being optimistic here MH, that's VERY rare as you know, so stop poking the stick.

IMHO once it hits the receivers hands its "good enough" obviously I would prefer perfect, but I don't expect it 100% of the time as it seems you do. I wouldn't even mind if the receivers don't make the hard catch, but for gods sake don't pop it up into the air.

Whoa...that I completely disagree with, if it gets to the hands of the Receiver and then is popped up into the secondary on the tip I'm placing 90% of that int on the WR everytime.

the WR should "AT LEAST" get the ball down if it hits his hands, I'd like to see them still catch it, but if they can't don't let it go up into the air.

so what you are saying is you prefer Interceptions by Lineman/Linebackers before it gets to the receiver over tipped passes that are caught by roaming safeties....just saying, sometimes low isn't a good decision.

point is if it gets to the receiver some if not most of the responsibility is transferred even if the placement isn't perfect...

From a quote from montana when speaking about bill Walsh

He expected the ball to be in a spot where the receiver had to catch the ball and not have to slow down nor affect them in their running after the catch. Any thing less than that was considered a bad pass.

When coaches and players settle for anything less than perfection then average results occur. Why would us the fans, who pay money to see these guys demand anything less?

A bad pass is a bad pass, period. Don't suck eli's penis, he has a wife to do that for him.

how bland of a statement is that htough

thats expecting the WR times the ball correctly, runs the right route, and runs it crisp.

well think about it....the QB has 2 objectives while throwing the ball...
1) get it to the reciever....
2)keep it away from the defender.</P>

sometimes that means leading the WR more than usual so only he can make the play on it OR throwing it higher(further), again, so only the WR can make the play on it.
Why exactly is it asking alot for the wideout to make the play on a catchable ball? News flash!! : running and jumping is part of the game! lol</P>

I'll remember that, lawl, every time I see Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, Austin Collie, dallas Clark, Deion Branch, Wes Welker, Marques Colston, or greg Jennings make a catch that makes me say "wow what a catch!" cuz what i should really be saying is, "what a ****ty pass that was!", right?

well possibly...

theres no genericness for it.. everything is a case by case basis, unless the ball bounces off or thru the WRs diamond in his hands... then its on the WR

It may not be a great ball, but the job was done and the WR has to make that play
</P>

well think about it....the QB has 2 objectives while throwing the ball...

: running and jumping is part of the game! lol</P>

i gotta be honest, i've NEVER heard stances like this before lol...

the WR has to put his hands up, once he does that its not longer his responsibility to make the play lol. If he does, well then GREAT! If not, thne your QB sucks lol
</P>

wait, what?
youre agreeing with me right? lol....its hard to tell when you respond to my post like that. haha</P>
