Carl Crawford got wayyyyyyyyyy over paid.

I dont think Bautista will put up 50 homeruns again, but the Jays did the right thing paying him</P>

</P>

the worst part about Crawford's contract, is that it's going to set a benchmark...</P>

NO outfielder should get that much money. do you know how many ****ing outfielders there are in baseball?!?! lol

he robbed that team(not that i care, since it's the sox..but i guess desperation makes ya do crazy things)</P>

</P>

baseball is getting out of hand with contracts. </P>

The Red Sox got desperate and basically over paid by 40 million to get Crawford. </P>

And wait till they have to pay Gonzo</P>

This is being bumped for the future when I have to point out all the **** u talked baout our bullpen this year and then later denied after we won the series.

I'll eat my crow on Joba, you eat yours about eventually being wrong about the bullpen

I KNEW this argument happened and u swore it didntt
</p>

which year are we talking about?</p>

the year we won. and what is the argument. i still dont know. lol all i know is joba shouldnt start, ever.
</p>

our bullpen was not good that year. the only thing that made it good was Philth Hughes going scoreless for a month and a half.
Last year, everyone but Joba in our bullpen was good though. Sucks we lost K.Wood, but Soriano gives us a good pen combined with Roberston and Logan. and of course Mo</p>

false... they got off to a horrid start and then they picked it up big time and were clutch for us that year
lol bro our pen was terrrible minus mo and phil later on in the season. it was hidden cause we had/have the best line up in baseball.

Here's what I am thinking about:

When it's time to trade in my Vehicle, I'm going to keep it.

I would like to get it painted NYG blue with some Red Stripes. Some pictures of LT, Strahan, Eli and other favorite players. Def the Tyree Catch, old/new stadium pics. I would like to do something with the 3 lombardi's also. They are capable of a lot with vehicle graphics these days. I have the idea in my head of just what I want it to look like. I hope I get around to this pipe dream.

I would like to put spinning chrome rims on her. Set up the t.v. with the wireless connection. Get some speakers booming with the NY giants songs. It would be alot of fun.

Since this has somewhat turned into a dating discussion thread...one of my closest friends ( just turned 26 ), is dating an 18 year old...and while that seems cool we were having a guys night out last night and she kept calling his cell crying and ****...so immature...I am only dating 24 and older...lol

if I were "dating" I'd prefer 21 and older for obvious reasons, but outside that, I've met 25-26 year old women that were incredibly immature and then I've meet 18 year old girls that were entirely too responsible and had no fun, age isn't a factor to me outside of being able to hang out in places I go to with my friends.
</p>

</p>

Good point Daven...I guess it depends on the girl...Alirght 18 year olds are BACK IN !!! ( not really though as I am to old for that )</p>

</p>

Maybe 21-22 though</p>

haha i dunno tho man, i jsut don't think i could go below 20...

19-23 is my age range... maybe 24
mother****er ur 19, that means 16 and above should be ur range

16???? 16?????? SIXTEEN?????

I'm a soph in college now, I ain't dating sophs in HS... that's sick
</p>

nah man thats gangsta.</p>

Nah..... that's not gangsta to me.... that's sick... I wouldn't do that

lmao...thatd be the craziest car ever</p>It would be my Suv. I think it would be bad ***. I mean that could be a super-cool partime hobby getting that thing all NYG'd up. I could see it leading into some bucks though.
An alternative are the trailers that some guy's bring down for taligates. Those things are pretty cool as well.

LT my best advice for right now is stick to someone your own age.

i would advise against that. I think ushould be going younger

I agree with MMB here, LT on an emotional level is more like a 15-16 year old guy (no offense) so he should be going out with 15-16 year old girls imho.

BB4417 i tried watching the game..had to turn it off in fourth the refs were driving me nuts stopping play every second..than seeing those 2 rubbin up against eachother..is that little guy that cheap shotted the Houston player getting suspended?</p>

The refs had to get control of the game. There was about to be a riot. Artest might have gone in the stands and hurt Jack Nicholson. lol

I hope Fisher doesn't get suspended but the league has been so soft lately it wouldn't surprise me. We will find out today. Kobe also threw an elbow and I hope nothing happens there.

we really DID try to help the kid out, but it was his constant arguments against our advice that would annoy us to the point where we lost our cool and ripped him.....you are only getting to see the parts were we ripped him, so it looks like we hated him.

I wouldn't say I "liked" him, but I felt bad for him, I did wanna take him under my wing for a bit and help him out.

I'm with Dez on this one, it's hard not to like someone like that, the "only" time he got on my nerves was when he tried to sound cool, as long as he was being his own goofy self it was fine he was a great character for the thread, when he started acting like he was someone else, that's when he got annoying...

I always thought and still think that's why this thread has been so successful, most people here are really just being themselves, I know I don't personally transfer over well through text, but noone here is really trying to "play" some character they aren't actually like, well except for bLT on occasion those were the only times I didn't like the kid.

btw **** DALLAS, and damnit why couldn't your friend be another 2 inches shorter, he could have been the new shortstack target!

it's ok though, as long as I get to keep the alligator arms title.

God I wish he was still alive. So so so bad.
We would not have any of this laffy taffy, soldier boy and all this
other gay ****. His flow is timeless. Thanks for the link. I had never
heard that before.

Kobe always makes Artest look foolish. He
owns Artest. I love how they got all nasty last night. Everyone
questions the Lakers toughness but we showed what is up last night.
Nuggets will beat the Mavs for sure. Rockets, Nuggets and Cavs. If we
can do that we deserve it for sure.

Only $259 from a flight to NYC from Lexington. See what you can do man..........

I have some family that lives in the city, and I'm a 2nd generation fan of the GMen, so I know my Dad would love to go too.

I'll get to work on that.

As for Kobe...I think that he can definitely beat Chauncey and Melo....but Lebron is going to be a feat for sure.

I can't wait to see the finals.....it is going to be amazing.

It's just the hardest two pins to make, it's not technically "the worst shot" you can throw a pretty good shot and leave it...I've made it once in my life, and god knows how many games I've bowled, I must have left it at least a thousand times, probably more (literally)

out of I have no idea, something like 700-800 thousand shots, maybe more I don't even know.

I'm actually somewhat curious how many times I've thrown a bowling ball all the sudden.

I mean since I was 5 years old the minimum was at least 60 time a week, but there's been weeks were I've thrown 40+ games heck I've done that in a night before, that's 40x10 400 times..in one night...I might be over a million balls thrown... lol

Time to leave work, my brain is going crazy now obviously, three day weekend time and a hot "date" to start it off, looks like I'm wining atm....later guys.

BLT that was the weakest attempt at a "I lost my V Card" story I've ever heard.

first off, just come off it, we all know this didn't happen...

secondly, you need to go back to school, there is no way the girl would already know she's pregnant if you just bumped uglies, the other day...it doesn't work like that, take it from someone who doesn't like to wrap up and has had a few scares.

<font size="6">Third, any self respecting girl would have just taken a morning after pill by now and you never would have found out in the first place.</font>

I agree with both statements but still, he won't do it until he is ready. No matter how many of us give him **** on a daily basis. He obviously doesn't care so it is almost pointless. Drive your *** down there and take him out.<font color="#000000" face="Arial" size="2">

I think of it as a daily reminder to him to get a life, that's all, it's entertaining and funny at times, sometimes I'm seriously giving him real advice and other times its really just a bit sad, but overall, I've made this thread my daily reminder to BLT to get a life thread.

I can respect that but put the shoe on the other foot and imagine......

Maybe I am going soft here but he will do it when he is ready. I tried to get my daughter potty trained for about 6 months. Finally one day a switch clicked and she did it. It is something he has to find in himself.

How much snow did you get? I only got maybe two inches as of 7am. It sucked shoveling but far better than last month.

My driveway is breaking apart in a few spots--from this winter--I gonna be repairing this sprint. ---snowblower grabbed a few chunks and winged em toward my kids car. Just missed it....close!

Yes...... because the only way to have fun is to drink beer.....

all things that are fun are MORE fun with alcohol [:P]

And to whoever said noone drinks it for taste, that's not true, depending on what I'm doing I'll drink a beer for taste, obviously not when playing drinking games but if I'm just eating dinner or I'm at a bar and trying out new beers I want them to be tasty.

LT try a Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat....and if that's still too bitter (It better not be) then switch over to mixed drinks or shots.

for example, I can give you a Mixed Drink 10oz Coke and 2oz Everclear, with some Ice it'll taste EXACTLY like a regular coke, but It'll probably get you trashed.

as a BIG sam adams drinker.. its pretty much all i drink is their seasonal... Cherry Wheat is HORRID.

Don't fruit the beer, in anyway..

ask my old HS basketball coach.

whats his Cell, I hit him up asking him if "LT" was a 3 Point king, and yell at him for not going out of his way to help you become a man.

Don't have his cell. And he was from like 3 years ago and then he left, so in all honesty he probably doesn't remember me.

Helped me become a better basketball player....

I remember the first practice, we were doing a defensive drill. One guy played defense and the other players got a turn to be offense. Basically playing 1-on-1.

When it was my turn, dude gave me all the space in the world. He just nonchalantly walked up to me. I put up a 3 and nailed it.

Repeat that sequence 6 times. I embarrassed the kid.

That was the birth of the only play in the book for me. The LT 3 (replace LT with my real name for those who know it). I got the ball in the corner (that was my sweet spot), power forward sets a screen on my man and I launch it up.

was he BLT or LBJ?

That is key--to have the programming in place, that will record your activity, searches, internet favorites and co-ordinate advertising specific ads to your page. That's gives the best chance for purchase from those advertisers. Much better possibility than random ads flashing in and out of the page.

Ahh yes, rejection, it is a tough thing to learn, but the more often you learn about it the less often it happens [:)]

at least you are trying and that's what counts!

I tried last summer to.

At least last summer I actually got a reply. It was "Oh yeah. I'd like to. But I'm really busy right now. I'll get back to when I have time."

And she never did.

Now there's just no reply.... and I'm annoyed.

I ain't calling her back, texting her, hitting her up on Facebook, none of that ****. I made my move, now she's gotta reply to me.

BUCK UP BARTTT!!! BUCK UPPPPPP!

Isn't it interesting that the NFL and the federal government could very well shut down at the same time.</P>

</P>

</P>

And people care more about the NFL shutdown than the government shutdown.</P>

as long as i can play fantasy football, i'll be a happy camper

and stop being a fox news hound...

we're going to have a federal governemtn... if the republicans tried to do more for this country than their personal vendettas and thinking up new scare tactics we may be in a better place than we are.

relax old man

</P>

The Republicans were forced to pass a budget for the 2nd half of this fiscal year because the Dem's didn't do it last year. Thats essentially the Congresses primary function. To pass a federal budget and the Dem's didn't last year. They left the mess for the GOP because they thought it would hurt them in the election.</P>

Well they passed it last week. If the Dem's in the Senate refuse to do their job along with the President, we will have a shutdown.</P>

The only party to pass a budget in the past year was the GOP.</P>

Biggest problem is that there is NO compromise going on anymore, so not only will NOTHING get done, but we're just getting further and further from reaching a common ground because politicians are too obsessed with party lines rather than being obsessed with actually getting things done and helping their constituents

its not blaming the right, i think the right is just so ****ing stubborn and stupid.

The REAL fact of the budget that Obama proposed was a concept suggested to him by most economists and the federal reserve. They all say reducing the national debt over the long run is whats best.

Why don't you let the professionals handle it rather than listening to Rush Limbaigh or whoever is running their mouths.

its not blaming the right, i think the right is just so ****ing stubborn and stupid.

The REAL fact of the budget that Obama proposed was a concept suggested to him by most economists and the federal reserve. They all say reducing the national debt over the long run is whats best.

Why don't you let the professionals handle it rather than listening to Rush Limbaigh or whoever is running their mouths.

Biggest problem is that there is NO compromise going on anymore, so not only will NOTHING get done, but we're just getting further and further from reaching a common ground because politicians are too obsessed with party lines rather than being obsessed with actually getting things done and helping their constituents
</P>

"Compromise" sounds nice. But sometimes it keeps us from doing what we need to keep this Country moving forward. It often serves to kick the can to the next generation to clean up our mess. Weneed a fundamental change in the attitude in Washington. Less military involvement abroad and less domestic spending. The tax payers can't afford the government giving money to people who don't need it. And can't afford to fight every two bit war in the middle East.</P>

Dezz you can say that about spending money but what about the age old theory that "It takes money to make money" or "you have to spend money ot make money"

I truely doubt (not a real shot at you) that you could even financial be responsible for your dads business with all the taxes and spending and bla bla bla. LEt alone the ENTIRE country and world. You have NO idea what it would take to get us out of this mess. There is no short term answer to it. We are going to be in this mess for a long time. You can't just bandaid it , you have to have a plan

And regardless of how common sense it may be to you and me that spending more money wouldn't be good for saving money, we have no idea how to financially run a country. And whether you want to admit it or not, most economists say that big government spending right now, will help us in the future. We are currently "in the ****", its all about how were going to get out.

We believe in people and the left believes that people can't make it without government.</p> We're borrowing to stimulate the economy, pay for govt programs and COUNTLESS other things. If we cut it too much we'll be screwed same thing if we dont cut it all.

Who do we have to pay back?? China for the most part

Im as wrong about the right's portrayal as you are about the left's portrayal. Yes, we're both generalizing. But your statement makes it seem that the left doesnt think its citizens are capable of great things if their liberty is protected, and if you truly believe that then I dunno man the brainwashing is too far along.

Yes i disagree with the right, but I realize they love their country just like the left does and anything less would be a statement taken outta the wahzoo. I dont agree with them but they're patriots and they love their country but sometimes they get a lil off track....

Dont get me wrong though the left isnt perfect by any means

First of all I've never watched Glenn Beck and I haven't listened to Rush in over 10 years. I actually have my own judgement and knowledge to establish my own positions.</P>

And the people paying bills to take care of our own citizensare OUR OWN CITIZENS. The problem is that we are borrowing $1.5 trillion per year to continue to spend at this level.</P>

Who do you think have to pay that back? Thats right...our own citizens.</P>

Spending to stimulate the economy is classic Keyansian economics that has never worked. In order to truly stimulate the economy you must add incentive to produce and invest.</P>

200 plus years of being the most prosperous country in the history of the planet has proven my point. The Japanese tried to borrow and spend their way out of their economic woes in the 90's and it devestated their economy and strangled it with debt. Thats why they have been passed by the Chinese.</P>

lol bam wants to spend another 1.5 trillion dollars this year. maybe you should START watching fox

believe it or not, that wasn't JUST a fox news story
and you still blame only the right. i rest my case.
and what are these personal vendettas?
Biggest problem is that there is NO compromise going on anymore, so not only will NOTHING get done, but we're just getting further and further from reaching a common ground because politicians are too obsessed with party lines rather than being obsessed with actually getting things done and helping their constituents
</p>

</p>Compromise keeps us from doing what we need??? OK Glen Beck, so filibusters and govt shutdowns are better for us than compromise??

Im totally for less military involvement abroad, but cutting domestic spending wont help us nearly as much financially as a reduction of military overseas would. I agree on one hand, we cant afford to fight every battle all over the world (thats what the UN and NATO is for, LOL) but on the other hand we cant just cut all domestic spending and screw our own citizens. But the right likes to portray everyone on unemployment and food assistance as drug addicted,. dregs on society, that are taking advantage of the system and will be on it forever cause they're lazy. But in reality im sure the majority of them have never been on/applied for/or known anyone that recieved govt assistance

...Its not all lazy trash that takes advantage of the system, like Glen and Rush like to think

while that is true, there are enough that are a drag on our economy. That is a problem that needs to be fixed. How? I dont know, i'm not a politician. But it is sad that there are good people out there that get clumped with the scum
LOL, the cost of a few derelects that take advantage of our govt assistance PALES in comparison to the BILLIONS we toss to the wind when trying to be Team America World Police..... Its f'n disgusting, we have millions in our own country struggling to eat, find shelter, and stay warm, let alone get employment yet we'll blow millions to keep massive bases in countries that are our best allies. Yes I understand its more of a point of deployment, but its out of hand at this point

The math is what it is. We have toreform Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security to survive economically. Medicare and Medicaid are the biggest problems. We must cut benifits to pay only those who need it and we have to entice people to invest in themselves down the road by enhancing IRA laws and cutting capital gains so all Americans can benifit from saving money for their future.</P>

If we don't our economy will collapse at some point in the not too distant future. When that happens there will be NO money for any of those programs.</P>

He didn't pass anything. President's don't pass budgets. Only Congress can. And his proposed budget is a nightmare. He completely ignores the structural problems in our fiscal condition.</p>

meant to say proposed

And to be honest, I can't speak on that . Im not an economist. I didn't learn how to balance and budget an economy. And no offense, I dont think you have either.

If he was able to do this with no cuts to Social security and MEdicare, on the level that sounds like a good start to me
</p>

Raising the age of social security is A way to do things, but not the best way. Obama is trying to do this while NOT ****ing over the common American. Our economy will be fine

OK, this seems to be important to you and I want you to get past it. Its really nothing. I told LT when he was chumming it up with you a few weeks ago that you were actually a middle aged plumber named Ralph. I was just making a little fun of my MB buddie, LT.</p>

He's been one of my pals here along with Matt. They're both OK as far as I'm concerned. I think.</p>

except you missed the part Morehead, were Me and Matt and some others in this conversation actually hung out with BB85 at a bar during the draft and she DID "Ralph" which is why the nickname Ralph is so perfect.
</p>

exactly LOL thats why i was so confused. i guess you guys had alil duel meaning behind the Ralph going on. lol</p>

</p>

Is Daven 5' 3" in his high heals like I envision? C'mon, throw me a bone.</p>

lol

Ok... I am like super confused.

What did I miss in the convo while I was gone?

And why the hell do Matt and Morehead have matching avatars?
</p>

lets review. Matt is moving in on Ralph. Its a sordid tale indeed. </p>

Your guess is as good as mine about the avatar thing.</p>

haha how am i moving in on ralph?</p>

IBB85 is Ralph.</p>

</p>

LOL--- WHOOOOOOOOOAAAAAA wait, i am NOT ralph. lol</p>

</p>

Its not your fault, but unfortunately there's really nothing that can be done.</p>

</p>

just cuz i puked one time in public... and it wasnt even public just a public bathroom... lol damn ittttttttttt</p>

</p>

"Ralph" has nothing to do with any regurgitations on your part. I'm afraid its a pathetic inside gag with myself and my nephew, LT.</p>

But as far as my other nephew, MMB is concerned, I'm afraid I'm going to have to take a stand against any further contact. I have it on good authority that he wears a leather jacket and rides a motorcycle. He's a bad seed. Its really for your own good.</p>

u cna call me son...

just think, i could of been woo'ing your daughter tonite over a couple of drinks lol

haha first time pappy prayed to god for me to never meet his daughter

<font color="#006400">Isn't it interesting that the NFL and the federal government could very well shut down at the same time.</font></p>

</p>

</p>

</p>

And i watch MSNBC every morning.</p>

channel 5 isn't MSNBC
</p>

What the hell is channel 5? I watch MSNBC on 356 on Directv.</p>

If there is a shutdown, I will be concerned with both-However sports are the perfect distraction from life's pressures. If the country goes to **** in a handbasket and there is no football, that's the worst case scenario for me anyway.
There was a stoppage in 95 or so when Clinton was in office and the Repub's were being stubborn separatists, so its not like this is the 1st time it could happen. Now if we have a stopped Govt AND no football to look foward to, then tish may wind up hitting the fan
</p>

Yes there was, and it had no effect on me at all. And I was struggling at the time. And you know what happened after that? We had several years of balanced budgets.</p>

Unfortunately, the foolishness of politicians, couldn't sustain it. This time the American people are more determined to hold Washington's feet to the fire with fiscal responsibility.</p>

Thats what the 2010 election was about. If this Congress and President can't get it done, they will kick these guys out too.</p>

na they wont... obama will be back in

the hole we were put in was always going to take more than 4 years to get out of. There was never an over night solution for this.

I dont care who was in there. Jesus could of been in there turning water into wine and bricks into gold and it wouldn't of helped
</p>

But you have to start somewhere. It appears that the House is willing to take it on. No one else seems to be willing.</p>

Yes, its going to take years and years to get us out of the fiscal mess we have right now. No one else seems to have the guts to start the process.</p>

see like I dont get that though. I mean he passes this budget, which may be long term, but is told to us that is best for our country and u dont consider that starting...

Its like if you don't see the result tom u get that response from you...

If McCain was in office and he went this route where he listened to the economist, you wouldn't be saying he didn't have the guts...

The guy just passed a 1.65 trillion dollar budget which is marked as a record deficit. And he has to deal with the ignroance of the dezz type followers of this news who just see the 1.65 trillion dollar budget is a record deficit part and not realize what its actual purpose is.

Hes getting killed for this so to say he doesn't have the balls to get this done is completely wrong

I am afraid of what will be with the ss. My worst fear is you pay into it your entire working career and when it's time to start collecting, the government apologizes and tells you that there is no money for you. HA.
