Maybeit's our close proximity to Marist College, home of the Red Foxes.....or maybe i should just describe it as we call it...
Mattress College, home of the Bed Foxes......
With young impressionable girls like these in the area, who needs a strip club?!?!?

Apparently my brothers best friend, I bowl with him on Thursday nights, he went to marist...constantly complained about there being a lack of women there.

maybe he's gay, and meant men!

(no offense, clearly im kidding lol)

well im kinda past the college age, but when i was 19-22.....TONNNNNNNNSSSSS of chicks at marist.
Dunno...maybe it's not the case anymore.

never went down there to visit anyone so I don't know myself, but I think the kid is close to your age, he's 25?

but well since you read reddit lemme post this and see if you get it.

I went to a strupclub when i was 19, it was a friend's bday....just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. It was enough to hold me over for the rest of my life most likely....

depending on the place, how much money your willing to spend, the girls you choose etc etc, it can be a good time, but it gets old quick, I was going a lot for a while, couple of my friends (and me now lol) look at strip clubs as like a normal bar, we walk in grab a beer and watch the game lol, the girls are just momentary distractions at this point (unless one seems abnormally interested)

strip clubs are a rarity around here...there's like 1 respectable one, and maybe a few shady ones scattered about, but we're talking like a 30 mile radius. They just dont do well around here...

I have been to three strip clubs in NY state

they are all awful

He missed my point that 115 points to such a bad team is an example of horrid defense. The Celtics got beat in game 2 to Cleveland but still played good defense. As i said, the only excuse to lose to the Cavs is a bad shooting night.

actually, now that you mention it, I've never been to a good one in NY either, T&A's was terrible...but it was the "beginning" of my Strip club experience and one of my friends ended up seeing one of the dancers so her friend and me used to hang out a lot which was cool, but sooo many terrible messes in that place, maybe 1 out of 6 girls was good tops.

I'm sure you have played a lot of baseball in your life. Pizz is easily confused and influenced by his little agendas but I always looked at you as someone who has a certain sophistication when it comes to pro sports.

Power pitchers throw inside. if they don't, they don't last in the big leagues. Bob Gibson, Don Drysdale, Nolan Ryan etc... All power pitchers and all mean pitchers. All big league hitters know that this is part of the game.

Beckett is an intimidating pitcher on the mound because he's a very good pitcher but also because he's not afraid to miss inside. This is the mark of a fine power pitcher. Show me a great power pitcher and I'll show you a guy who isn't afraid the pitch inside.

There is a reason that some of the greatest pitchers of all time have this reputation. It doesn't come from trying to intentianally hit someone in the head. It does come from not being afraid to hit someone who needs to be knocked off the plate.

Yankees, Cowboys and Lakers.

If Derek Jeter walked in a bar where I was, I'm not going to tell him I hate him and start yelling at him. I'd love to have a beer with a major league player. Especially one as great as Jeter.

I know the difference between hating a "team on the field" and hating the individual people who play for that team as human beings.

Fans who don't know the difference are pathetic in my opinion. And trust me, there are plenty of Red Sox fans who are exactlythe same way as Pizz.

You can't appreciate the game and what it takes to play at that level, if you see things that way.

To compare thee old Knicks D to the new is asinine. Its a totally different team. One could make the same argument about Boston without Perk. No one will want to play NY in the playoffs.

As opposed to who Lando?

I'd rather play the Knicks thanOrlando, Chicago or Miami. They are a team who currently is slightly over .500. They have probably improved themselves since the trade. But they still are at best the 5th best team in the conference.

And don't forget, The Celtics have played almost they entire season without Perkins.

I would rather play the Magic or Heat before NY in the playoffs. Imagine a couple weeks from now when they get chemistry and are running sets. Could be scary. It is all about the D though. You are right about that.

Plus, as you know, the playoffs are a different beast. 1or 2 bad games and you are done. You keep mentioning the regular season but that is irrelevant come May.

I also can't believe your are discrediting Perk. Kobe called him the best low post defender in the game and you know what happened when he went down last year....

The speculation here is that Ainge just didn't love Perkins' game. His contract is up after this year and they thought they should get something for him.

Green is a nice player and has 2 years left on his contract. I also think they are not placing a lot of importance of a big man in today's NBA.

It seems like a head scratcher, but I also don't think they hurt themselves. Evidentally, they were not going to pay Perkins what another team may have offered.

I brought them home and adjusted them all up.. it turns out thats important...and have been walking around the house here for a couple of hours on the low setting I think I can use them now... Josh Beckett takes baseball to the head, and is experiencing concussion symptoms. lololololololololololololololololololololol

http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/mlb/news/story?id=6166841

So the injuries begin for the Red Sox

I'll bet that when you were younger you never would have believed that someday you would take pleasure in the injuries to opposing players.

I mean this in the nicest way possible...but **** off....
This is NY/Boston baseball, and all is fair inlack of love, and war.

And since when is making fun of the injuries of scumbags a bad thing? This is professional sports isnt it?

I was responding to NY06.

I assume that you have always taken pleasure in the injuries of others.

Where in my comment did you see me get any pleasure from his injury?

I stated that the injuries are beginning early for the Sox

Well I'm trying to figure out what bad Karma you're talking about since Sabathia has 10 more HBP's than Beckett in the same amount of years.

The only bad karma you have with Beckett is when he shut your guys down in the 2003 WS.
becketts can be a head hunter and you know it!

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/155987-josh-beckett-suspended-for-head-hunting
remember 09 when he was suspended for throwing at bobby abreu head after he bobby called time at the plate and then started a brawl. he has ALWAYS been a hot head and an instigator.

and nice try with cc, i bet you at least half out of 10 of those hit batters were righty batters and hit by his slider or his cutter, which hes been working on for 2 years.

Byron-Good story, I can relate. I have never worn the stilts, I considered them, but never wore em. I used to sub most of my SR out as well. The guy I used turned out to be a good friend, would use the stilts for the 10' and higher stuff, like you said. He also had stuff rigged up-like 5lb buckets screwed to a 8' 2x10, etc. Sometime's I would put one end of a 2x10 on a bucket and the other end I would progress up a 4ft step ladder. Good luck with the stilts, be careful!!

Why cant you just admit he aims for players heads?

I know pitchers will throw inside on batters, but Beckett has done this numerous times to batters.

Throwing inside is one thing, but when it goes up towards the head is intentional

I love it.

You who has "kept his NY attitude" is now whining like a schoolgirl about mean ol' Josh Beckett.

How is it that he has 10 fewer HBP's than CC in the same period? The game has tilted towards the hitters because of this politically correct attitude that pitchers can't knock guys off the plate anymore.

Ump's warning benches after one pitch inside. Friggin pathetic. Give me throw-back players anytime.

Guys who whine about pitchers throwing inside give me the willies.

like i said yesterday i bet most of those hbp are righty batter either getting hit from his sliders or his cutter hes been working on. and this is from a guy that doesnt really like cc.

Gee, let me think.

Maybe because Abreau was yelling and pointing his finger at Beckett while needing to be restrained.

Just a guess. No man worth his saltis going to stay put for that.

id like to add there is a big difference between backing a hitter off the plate and just flat out giving the batter something to think about.

"Giving hitters something to think about" is what pitching inside is all about.

Today's game has brought a new kind of hitter. The kind of guy like Jeter who hangs over the plate without fear.

Guys like Beckett restore that fear, and restore order back to the game.
yea by throwing inside, not at his head.

what a scary weekend. i dont remember one single thing. got to take it easy
Where were you yesterday? In a drape drawn room, sweating out the toxins?
pretty much, one of those day long hangovers. dont take xanax when you drink. EVER!
Why did you take xanax ? Is that a normal med for ya?

Are you trying to emulate your idol , Charlie Sheen?
naaah just been completely miserable lately from a list of reasons.

wish i was charlie.
Dude--I not getting on a soap box, but I don't think you need that crap. If it's recreational, your generation is doing it , I know. I'm not saying that for some periods of time in certain people's lives there is not a place for that type of therapy. There is, it should be monitored by a doctor and include Psych visits. When you start combining alcohol and cheebah, it's not good. You are a NYG season ticket holder, what could possibly be better than that?

Charge the plate? That was a far cry from "charging the plate".

you mean like your dynasty fantasy world? if tech and that ump werent between them what do you think would of happened? he would of skipped over and gven bobby a kiss? he was looking for a fight. why did beckett even leave the mound?

Gee, let me think.

Maybe because Abreau was yelling and pointing his finger at Beckett while needing to be restrained.

Just a guess. No man worth his saltis going to stay put for that.

I'm surprised you don't see that. Well.....maybe not.

neither is a man that just had a +90 mph ball thrown at his head after calling time. you know were right. if it didnt say boston across his jersey youd agree with us.

He did what every pitcher dreams of doing. I'm sorry Dezz, thats just the truth. Hitters are pampered in the Big's these days.

In the old days they would take it and get back in the batters box. These days in the age of entitlement they act like women.

The same was true with the Clemens/Manny incident from 03. Manny acted like a complete *****. And he was wearing a red Sox uniform.

i know that and agree, but you saw the video. bobby called time, maybe josh was half way through his delivery, fine, maybe his location was way off, fine but i doubt it. now bobbys pissed (personally i would of charged the mound) and josh has the nerve to leave the mound and start mouthing off? not only that but josh has been suspended multiple times for hitting batters and starting fights. the video and the record speaks for itself.

if theres smoke.........

He called time while he was in his motion. Pitchers hate that ****. He threw it over his head. Should he have? Probably not. But I promise you every pitcher in baseball wanted to be Beckett at that moment. Its every pitcher's dream.

Its like getting brushed back and then driving a ball through the mound on the next pitch.

im not sure what you mean.
i dont know, i just think josh could of showed some remorse, like tap his chest "my fault, it got away from me" type thing. iv seen pitchers do it all the time.

you can give me you "soft" lecture but a +90 mph to the head will kill you. and as a "man that loves all of god creatures even daven" you should agree.

Do I really have to explain it?

"Not sure what you mean" is the problem. There are all kinds of games with the game Dezz.

The same was true with the Clemens/Manny incident from 03.* Manny acted like a complete *****.* And he was wearing a red Sox uniform.

i know that and agree, but you saw the video. bobby called time, maybe josh was half way through his delivery, fine, maybe his location was way off, fine but i doubt it. now bobbys pissed (personally i would of charged the mound) and josh has the nerve to leave the mound and start mouthing off? not only that but josh has been suspended multiple times for hitting batters and starting fights. the video and the record speaks for itself.

if theres smoke.........

He called time while he was in his motion.* Pitchers hate that ****.* He threw it over his head.* Should he have?* Probably not.* But I promise you every pitcher in baseball wanted to be Beckett at that moment.* Its every pitcher's dream.

"Not sure what you mean" is the problem.* There are all kinds of games with the game Dezz.*

Pitchers hate it when guys call time out when they are in their motion.* Beckett threw it over his head.* All pitchers would love to do that.

*
how every pitcher wanted to be beckett in that situation. why?* he was suspended for it, so obviously it wasnt the right thing to do.
the man has a reputation of being a head hunter just like i have the reputation of being a front.

Except his is a reputation....you are a front/flake.

Well since Beckett is not that good anymore he has to resort to dirty play to get into batters head.

I paused a moment, told her she was not going to like what I had to say, and it doesn't mean anything beyond what I was saying. Woman look at work entirely different than men, it's a more social thing for them, but they will throw their gal pals under the bus in an instant and then go to lunch with them tomorrow.

I met my old powerlifting training partner at a job back in the 80's. We have remained friends to this day. We put a beautiful new front door with sidelights and awesome trim in his new house last August.

you are the only joke in this thread Dez, Lando manned up and came to hang with us all the way from Utah, you have season tickets and can't show your face.

regardless of going back on your word...you seem like you are scared to show yourself, it makes me think you are hiding something.

Look, me and Morehead had the most heated arguments of anyone in this thread just read a little back to see some of that in MMB's trip down mammary lane, but I still showed up and so did morehead...

we are a family here in this thread and while we may not all get along all the time, we still show up for the family reunion (AKA the Giants game) every year.....and you should too...otherwise you don't really have the right to talk **** to anyone else who does, because whether you are right or not won't matter....if you banging on Lando you are banging on family and only family can talk **** to family and so far you've chosen not to be part of the family....

Now I am wondering if my story possibly had nothing to do with JP's statement. I am getting old and becoming a rambler.

ignoring you most the time is acting like a *****? right.
if you dont give a **** dont say anything. is that what a man does too? deuuuuhh you think youre a man cause "youre a man of your word" but i dont see when all you can do is whine and ***** for 6 months. yea soo manly lando. youre a joke.

you are the only joke in this thread Dez, Lando manned up and came to hang with us all the way from Utah, you have season tickets and can't show your face.

regardless of going back on your word...you seem like you are scared to show yourself, it makes me think you are hiding something.

Look, me and Morehead had the most heated arguments of anyone in this thread just read a little back to see some of that in MMB's trip down mammary lane, but I still showed up and so did morehead...

we are a family here in this thread and while we may not all get along all the time, we still show up for the family reunion (AKA the Giants game) every year.....and you should too...otherwise you don't really have the right to talk **** to anyone else who does, because whether you are right or not won't matter....if you banging on Lando you are banging on family and only family can talk **** to family and so far you've chosen not to be part of the family....
k thats the way you feel fine.....

Funny you say that. This woman that worked for me about 3 years ago was saying to me one day, I consider us friends. I raised 1 brow? She said, you know, like if -I left this job or you left this job, I think we would still talk. I paused a moment, told her she was not going to like what I had to say, and it doesn't mean anything beyond what I was saying. I said" If I did not have to earn a living and support my family, I would not be here. I am here strictly for that purpose. If I happen to make a couple of work-acquaintances along the way, that's cool, but don't mistake that for friendship. We are co-workers, not necessarily friends. If you ran out of gas in the middle of the night or your kid was sick, YES- I would help you out. If you no longer worked here, I would not call you." Woman look at work entirely different than men, it's a more social thing for them, but they will throw their gal pals under the bus in an instant and then go to lunch with them tomorrow.

doesnt mean we didnt go to NJ this fall and still had a good time.

Funny you say that.* This woman that worked for me about 3 years ago was saying to me one day, I consider us friends.* I raised 1 brow?* She said, you know, like if -I left this job or you left this job, I think we would still talk.* I paused a moment, told her she was not going to like what I had to say, and it doesn't mean anything beyond what I was saying.* I said" If I did not have to earn a living and support my family, I would not be here.* I am here strictly for that purpose.* If I happen to make a couple of work-acquaintances along the way, that's cool, but don't mistake that for friendship.* We are co-workers, not necessarily friends.* If you ran out of gas in the middle of the night or your kid was sick, YES- I would help you out.* If you no longer worked here, I would not call you."* Woman look at work entirely different than men, it's a more social thing for them, but they will throw their gal pals under the bus in an instant and then go to lunch with them tomorrow.

I met my old powerlifting training partner at a job back in the 80's.* We have remained friends to this day.* We put a beautiful new front door with sidelights and awesome trim in his new house last August.

Oh and a yeah, that woman still works for me, but's it's just not the same, go figure?* Lmao.* [:O]

Now I am wondering if my story possibly had nothing to do with JP's statement.* I am getting old and becoming a rambler.

I really don'tlike the fact that we have a former Yankee in our bullpen but I'm hoping he's repented.

Plus we could use someone to keep the bullpen clean.

I been having this bizarre issue recently...and I'm just wondering if anyone has had it happen.
getting ready for work....I put on deodorant, put on an undershirt, and then my work polo...
withing an hour or so, my undershirt will literally take my deodorant off my arm. i always have a stick in my car, but i dont recall ever having this happen in the past. WHAT GIVES?!?! I'ts not like im sweating at work! i sit in a cubicle! lol
im thinking about changing the deodorant i use...lol

I was wondering what that smell was.

Funny. I was going to post that Jordon was tied with Pistol Pete at #2, but I have to give it to Jordon. He was a great college player and did make the big shot to beat Goergetown in the national championship.

Pete was an unbelievable scorer. (no one averages 40+ per game anymore) but like Archie Manning was a bit more legend than player.

Where would you put Patrick Ewing in top college players?

Probably top 10. 1 championship and 3 champioship games. Plus he's the pride of Cambridge, MA.

Also have to give him credit for inventing the wearing of a T shirt under the uniform.

So he's got that going for him.

Which is nice.
Gunga.... La Gunga

Head Hunter will always protect his teammates.

Fixed it for you

I assume you're being funny.

Fans who understand the game know better.

Its all good. Josh comes inside. Deal with it.

You love when batters get fast balls thrown towards there head?

Poor taste my friend..

Guys who whine about pitchers throwing inside give me the willies.

like i said yesterday i bet most of those hbp are righty batter either getting hit from his sliders or his cutter hes been working on. and this is from a guy that doesnt really like cc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1XeJzq9zqg

youre no dummy mh, just admit for whatever reason beckett acted like an *******. no reason whatsoever to charge the plate.

lol who the **** charges the plate???

Charge the plate? That was a far cry from "charging the plate".

You are living in a fantasy world if thats what you think that was.

you mean like your dynasty fantasy world? if tech and that ump werent between them what do you think would of happened? he would of skipped over and gven bobby a kiss? he was looking for a fight. why did beckett even leave the mound?

LoL, Moorehead would justify throwing a baseball at somebodys head but is all for the head hunting hits in the NFL. Contradicting much?

Fail to see what "every pitchers dream" has to do with anything

Gholston sure did fall on his face. That is what you get for wearing 56 in NY. You think he will do better with his next team?

I think he'll do great with the GIants and fix our OLB problem

(just kidding)

That's rude Dezz, especially since you are the one in the wrong here, Lando's just trying to give ya a little fatherly advice, I for one think you should think a bit more about what he said and actually try to apply it to your everyday life.

Stop with the Lakers. Kobe is a great player but not in the league of any of the players we are talking about.

He might be in the top 10, but barely.

I wanted to see what you would say lol. I know he is not but I am happy with 9 or 10. Where does he go when we 3 peat. Give me your top 10 Bird Magic Jordan ........

OK this is fun.

Off the top of my head:

1A: Larry

1B: Magic

3. MJ

4. Kareem

5. Bill Russell

6. Wilt

7. The Big O

8. Jerry West

9. Walt Frazier

10. Hakeem

Sorry, I guess Kobe is NOT in the top 10.

Frazier is my surprise. I can't tell you how good I thought he was.

No one that has been good in the last 15 years besides Mj huh? You are showing your age sir. Give me the next 5 and Duncan better be there.

i hope i never see another Dezz post tbh.... as gay as i sound (and i recognize it) i believe we have become a weird group of people, some would say family and that is our once a year. After reading all the **** he was talking going back into the posts to BLT, its a joke that hes ducking coming out.

I mean i'm over it but to see him act like a little ***** like that is just annoying. Then to cry when people call him out for being a flake and being a man of their word, just shows how much of a little ***** he is. And its like he doesn't get the fact of why we are agitated, its because we feel insulted he wont come in a weird sort of way. But I really don't care. I got over it last time but to see the way he was yesterday, apparently he was out of midol, he can **** a goat

From now on... in honor of BASEketball.... Dezz is known as Squeak Scolari.
