got this AAdvantage Citibank card where if i spend $1500 in 6 months, i get 75,000 miles(well, mile points) which is 3 flights within the states, or 1 international.

Purchases, or cash advances count. So, I was going to do cash advance for the amount, into my checking account, and immediately pay the balance off with that money. lol, scam the system.

except my card activation didnt work yet >.<

wow thats ****in awesome. $1500?

What if u spend 3k? Do the miles double?
GM-mmb! Good weekend?

yea it was a cool weekend. Went to the BEast semis, two OT games and then saw Jim Brueur sat night. Good times except for the fact i got so wasted friday night i puked for two hours straight and then slept for 4 hours. Still not sure im completely right
Oh man, 2 hours of puke is a marathon episode. Exhausts you. You will be straight by Tuesday--it takes time when you wack your system that hard.

I had food poisoning from some chinese food that I did not even want about 8 years ago. That's what I can compare it to.

yea i was all kinds of ****ed up friday night. Some lady had this pimped out fur coat on. As she walked by i told her how nice it was and then as she walked by i pretended i had a gallon of red paint and tried to throw it at her. She wasn't expecting it and it was hilarious

How bout you? You do anything except get large this weekend?

That's funny, so you are a Peta/Pam Anderson supporter?

I had a really great weekend. Enjoyed the kids, got outside a bit. Changed the oil in my truck, fiddled with the pellet stove. I trained both days and my shoulder is still connected to my body--with minimal discomfort. That's the best I can hope for.

nah its shaping up pretty good(the rotation i mean)
plus, everything ive seen from Burnett, and what the players and coaches are all saying(which hopefully isnt just PR nonsense) is that this could be a big rebound year for him. God, I hope so...
Plus, he says he likes the way he's pitching much better than last spring.

yea i dont like talking about it really...but my beliefs are based on a failed government AND economy based off a fake monetary system, one which makes little to no sense.
this country has nobody to blame for our current struggles but big business. 90% of which is banking and investment banking. it's been that way since the Federal Reserve was created. Well, the original was "First Bank of US" but either way it paved the way....

bleacher report is one of the worst sports mailing list/websites there are..

They just tried writing an article saying how that not only there was a chance that Peyton Manning could become a Jet, BUT that they would keep Mark Sanchez too

ummm what?

ive actually never used that site because when I heard of it, it was described as the worst sports site ever lol

the rubber gloves are obviously more dirty and/or covered in chemicals....i dont get the question.

True, probably dirtier with the gloves...I am bias with our Prez, ...I mean the Prez giving a "pound dog" uggh

I'm impartial....
anyone who thinks the country runs differently based on who the president is, is naive or overly patriotic. And either way, those 2 kinds of people are the ones i detest most.

Now I think we're on the same page there. My bias position is not biased towards 1 candidate or another---it's taking a stance--that the entire system is corrupt.

yea i dont like talking about it really...but my beliefs are based on a failed government AND economy based off a fake monetary system, one which makes little to no sense.
this country has nobody to blame for our current struggles but big business. 90% of which is banking and investment banking. it's been that way since the Federal Reserve was created. Well, the original was "First Bank of US" but either way it paved the way....

Monetary policy isn't the problem. Underwriting standards are. And that is completely the responsibility of Fanny and Freddy. Banks are generally very conservative in their lending standards. Unfortunately when the government intrudes and starts rewarding bad lending, (or should I sayturns bad lending into good lending) we will have what inevidably happened.

But i'd recommend watching the portions of the 2 Zeitgeist films based on why we have such a failing economy. And why such a small percentage of "people" control EVERYTHING.

You have to understand one of the basic rules of economics. "Everyone acts in self interest".

Labor unions, college students, banks, insurance companies, politicians, housewivesetc...

Its what creates great prosperity. So in the old system, banks lend money for a mortgage and the home owners pays it back with interest. They require money down and good credit because it was in the banks interest to do so. The homeowner gains from the enhancement of his/her life by having a home, and the bank makes money. Its all good.

Now enter the federal government and their political interest to increase home ownership in the 90's.

Fanny and Freddy encourage the lowering of lending standards by buying up bad or questionable mortgages which encourages banks to take greater risks, by lending to people who are less likely to pay it back. Banks still win because they turn around and bundle mortgages and sell them to F & F.

Owners gain now because the huge demand due to these lower standards raises home values. Plus more people own homes. Everybody wins Right?

No.

Once people get over their heads and can't pay the mortgages, home values decline and now the entire system is underwater. The artificial bubble is burst. The entire system needs to be bailed out by the tune of $700 billion.

All because the standards for lending were artificially lowered by the government.

This isn't left vs. right. Its the reality of human behavior.

Remember.....everybody acts in self interest.

I'm sure youre not into any type of conspiracy theory or anything, nor am I....
But i'd recommend watching the portions of the 2 Zeitgeist films based on why we have such a failing economy. And why such a small percentage of "people" control EVERYTHING. And how the federal reserve creates money(not in the physical sense) out of nothing, how recessions, and worse(the great depressions for example)are intentionally created to help big business and banks so the rich stay rich, and the rest get ****ed.
It's all fact, although it SOUNDS all conspiracy driven, it's not. It's just a greedy world we live in, and we're all subject to it.

Money truly is the root of all evil. The principles that the Zeitgeist films dsiplay keep one sector of our economy strong. It has to work that way, if we are going to rely on that one sector for the strength of our economy. Maybe conspiracy is the wrong word for it? I guess it's not a conspiracy because it can be said that the poor guy has as much opportunity as any other to become a large viable business and join forces in the control?

ehhh hard for me to really buy into it. I wouldn't say as much opportunity, but everybody does have a chance. I mean the system is set up to keep the powerful, powerful

The view is impeccable, the crowd is MUCH better, but the downside is that it takes FOR-EV-ER to get up to the top deck. Biggest disappointment with the new stadium is the turrible layout for getting from the 1st to 3rd level, its horrible, but totally worth it

they may win the first two series, depending on matchups but they wont make the finals..

they hit their peak of play this year. PEople may of said this last year, but they were saying it at the beginning of the year when they weren't that crisp. They already had their time of great play. Its all down hill now. Just not enough offense

hopfully the owners will be next so the mets fans can actually get some relief..

uhg the complete circle of life with the mets. This always happens, I always start to actually feel bad for them and cheer for them in an underdog way. Then the minute they have the least success every met ******bag fan starts with "HOW THE METS ARE BETTER THAN THE YANKS THIS YEAR"....

it never fails so i'm still gonna stay a stonecold ***** to them

Those are idiot Met fans who do that. The Yanks are so far superior to the Met's it's ridiculous. They should not be in the same conversation with them. You said it correctly, cheer for them in an underdog way--if they happen to surprise me, it's all that much better. If they ever do make another run, that is what dreams are made of.

November 10, 1975, the Edmund Fitzgerald, a giant transport ship, was
caught in a raging storm while crossing Lake Superior. Late that
afternoon, the ship's captain radioed that "Big Fitz" was taking on
water and had top-side damage. The ship sank and all 29 crew members
perished. Singer/songwriter Gordon Lightfoot commemorated the tragic
event in his Number One hit "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," with
its haunting opening lines:

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down

of the big lake they called "Gitche Gumee."

The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead

when the skies of November turn gloomy.

Howard interviewed Sammy Hagar this am. Sammy was promoting his new book. I guess Eddie Van Halen was a ****head to Sammy towards the end. Sammy made 80 million when he sold his Cabo Wabo--whew!!

Campari Obtains Full Ownership Of Cabo Wabo Tequila

Peter Zwiebach

Posted: August 4, 2010

Italy’s Gruppo Campari has obtained full ownership of Cabo Wabo
Tequila after acquiring the 20% stake in didn’t already own from
musician Sammy Hagar and associates. Late last week, Campari agreed to
pay $11 million for the remaining stake, while an estimated earn-out of
$4 million is expected to be paid to the sellers within the next three
years.

Campari initially acquired an 80% stake in Cabo Wabo in 2008, for $80
million. Since then, Hagar, formerly of rock band Van Halen, has acted
as an ambassador for the ultra-premium Tequila, which he founded in
1996. As part of that deal, Campari was granted the opportunity to
purchase the remaining stake at a later date.
http://www.vhnd.com/2010/08/05/sammy-hagar-sells-remaining-stake-in-cabo-wabo-tequila/ (http://)

someone sent me to youtube link the other day of last week's 20th anniversay 'ceremony' of the '91 NBA Championship.
Dude, I almost cried. lol
MJ, Pippen, Horace Grant, Bill Paxon, BJ Armstrong, Bill Cartwright, Craig Hodges, Stacey King, Will Purdue, Dennis Hopson, Cliff Levingston, Scott Williams....

All the guys got introduced, including the coaches, given these cool plaques. And MJ and Scottie gave small speeches, and there was a Phil Jackson video speech too cuz he had an LA game that night so he couldnt come. Big video montage of a ton of highlights from that year. Man it was so awesome. so nostalgic for me. i loved it.

American Strats are obviously made in America. Look at the head stock. If the word "Stratocaster" is in very large letters with arched type, thats an American Strat. If the word "Fender" is larger and the serial # begins with MIM, that means its a Mexican Strat.

Nothing wrong with a Mexican Strat but a used American Strat is worth a heck of a lot more.

If they are powerful, they can really add to the snapping twist of the "wet noodle" theory. There's a machine and ab work-hanging movements to work the obliques.

its amazing how the tide turned on the players union with fans. I don't understand how so many people are for the owners now, its ridic
its because fans are seeing just how ridiculous the players union(smith) is acting. when i read they wanted to see the owners books i literally laughed out loud. like iv been saying, its hard to feel bad for millionaires asking for more millions. and minus extending the regular season, the owners seem to be acting pretty reasonable.

Yep-and in our Stadium's case they got double psl's from both the Jet's and Giants. That's like duplicate real estate tax.

i think there are 2 reasons Matt.

1. The players stopped the negotiations, decertified and sued the league.

2. Many players have been very vocal in calling the owners liars etc... in the past few days while the owners have not. That turns people off.

The perception is that the players have not budged at all since they started with the mediator. If you believe Mr Mara. (and I do) Evidentally the owners offered to split the difference, and the players refused to move and then stopped all negotioations.

To me the Strat is a great lead guitar which most lead guitarist prefer...the Les Paul is a great all around Guitar they puts wood into them....but hey to each his own.. nothing like a Gibson electric to me anyway beyond that I'd love to have a high end Martin...not into copies American madefor me

What would you say the average is for psl's in the new stadium? Combine the 80k seats 1,000 psl, plus 5k psls, plus 20k psls. Let's say for arguments sake it averaged to 5k per seat.

5k x 80,000 seats(rounded off)=400,000,000.00 x 2 (Jet's psl holder)=

800,000,000.00. It cost 1.6 billion to build the new meadowlands. I may have averaged the psl's incorrectly, but with these numbers, the psl's only paid for half of the stadium.

The PSL's are revenue for the league. They go to pay off the loans. Less the $32.5MM for each team, 60% go to the players.

60% of the $10 hot dogs do too. So when you pay 10 bucks for a beer, blame the players who get 6 bucks of it.

You can't survive giving the players 60% of the rev's. (less the $32.5MM per team) and then have to pay all the other expenses for the league.

The owners and players negotiated the owner "opt out" option. The players knew full well that the owners would opt out since they knew the owners were accepting a bad deal in order to keep labor peace. Thats why they wanted the opt out clause.

Ultimately, labor issues must be negotiated at the bargaining table, with each side motivated to give up something to get something. It was the PLAYERS who abandoned that last week.

they dont have to prove anything. theyre the bosses. if the players dont like it, they can **** off. the players are the ones that started this whole thing, *****ing and whining. of course fans arent going to side with them. i dont see how the union is ****ting on the owners besides making ridiculous offers. you know how i feel about psls but if you think the giants didnt take a hit in income this year you are crazy. imo if the players union was run by someone less arrogant and more reasonable this whole matter would of been resolved. as employees the players have no right to see how much owners make. do you ask your boss how much he makes? no and if you did, depending on the relationship, you would probably be fired. these players forget that its a PRIVILEGE to play in the nfl, not their right

ur right they dont... but then dont get mad when this happens

and no the owners definitly started this whole thing by looking to pay less and ask for more

they stacked 4 billion aside cuz they figured there would be alockout this year lol
hey, thats smart business. the players have every right to ask for a raise, but half of all revenue?! thats absurd.

just take back the fact that the players started this so we can end this part of the debate

The true meaning of negotiation, your not overjoyed by the end result, but it "works", so to speak.

Looking back, it scares the **** out of me that something could have happened to me all those years, and i would have been SOL. lol

According to Mr. Mara the owners offered to split the difference with the players position. Also the owners had come off the 18 game position a while ago.

It seems the only side not to budge is the players. And then they picked up their ball and went home.

yea that didnt make much sense when I read the articles.
For the college kids coming the the draft, thats the experience. It's the organizations and owners drafting the players. not the NFLPA. So it just seems kind of ridiculous that these to-be-rookies care what the NFLPA is telling them to do yet.

Word is that if the players win the first round in April and an injunction is granted to the lockout, the owners will have to cancel the draft since it could be a violation of anti-trust laws, without a CBA,which award triple damages.

The drama part sucks. Business should be performed with clear cut decisive action, but there are always those employees that have to add the emotion and drama element. It's not the work that's the challenge, it's working with the different personalities to achieve your objective. In my opinion.

have you seen the band of brothers episode im talking about? its the morning of d day and winters and 11 others go up against a artillery position held by 60 germans. the way they shot it was amazing, they had them so confused the germans were shooting at their own guys. ****ing epic

I saw the series but I did miss a few episodes.
