Grizlies beat the Celtics. rawr?

lol @ that team...

Honestly Pizz, they aren't really playing their guys that much. For some reason they are resting the "more experienced" players for the playoffs. Its been going on for a few weeks now and I really don't get it when you're fighting for the home court advantage.

They must not value that game 7 vs. the Bulls as much as having Peirce, KG and Ray Allen rested.

yea thats definitely the kinda team I want. ones who dont seem to care at the end of the season?
Bulls are going to DESTROY that team if they meet. Think of how long Boozer was out, and then Noah was out for an extended period. Healthy that team is a freight train...

I agree that the Bulls are playing great. And they are an outstanding team. But no one is destroying anybody. If the Celtics and Bulls meet in the East finals it will be a war.

Dunno MH...it was a war when they met 2 years ago, and that was when Rose was a rook.
different team there, yet same old celts. yes i intentionally said old.

Rondo is twice the player he was back then. Its last year when he came into his own. Tough defender for Rose.

The Celts are too tough a team to get rolled by anyone.

watched last night's ep of Lights Out....and it WAS awesome!

great filler episode since we're still waitin for the 'main event'
I watched parts of the 3/15 episode on demand last night. 3/22 is not available yet. Good show, I'm into it now. I picked up right after the scissor stabbing, the prednisone injection, the sister dating the bad guy and that fighter's way cool gym setup on the roof.

wait, so are you caught up, or you just watched that one ep?

Just that one. I recognize the "champ" from something else. There were alot of epi's on demand, that could easily fill a rainy weekend.

who? Lights?
I dont recognize him from anything important.

in fact the only person i recognized was "Pops". He was Cam in American History X

I randomly caught a movie on HBO on Demand called the Losers. Lights was a villian on there. It was the only itm ei've ever seen him

Pops has been in a million things, i can't think of what though
"ladies like the angle of the dangle?"

LMAO, that was the best line in the whole movie

it was a pretty good action flick actually. I love that dorky dude in anything he does. Hes funny as hell. The first movie I saw him in was Not ANother Teen Movie - which was the greatest movie spoof of all time lol.

Loved her in my name is Earl too!

If players aint buckin up on D, then they'll HAVE TO answer in the locker room, and if you aint good or willing to play D, you better be able to take/duck a punch, LOL

The Knicks biggest problem obviously is a lack of defense. So what do they do? They trade half their team for a guy who refuses to play defense.

All to make a splash.

All to make a splash.
Remember, James Dolan still owns the Knicks, so he could care less how they do in terms of standings all that matters to him are the ducketts. Even when the Knicks were at their utter worst the tickets were still some of the most expensive in NY, so people will attend The Garden but the lower bowl is more of a social event than fans watching the game.... i didn't ge thome til like 1130 last night i still haven't watched it...

doing big things. I am officially on the Board of the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute along with all my cousins friends and ****. We're doing big things. We're def going to get a huge concert with a huge act.

BLAHH im amped

let me know whats up bro. I'll make a trip out of it. lol

yea man def... trust me as soon as its all finalized... if u know me... you'll DEF know about it lol
I used to do a fifty-fifty raffle at the powerlifting events that I ran back in the early 2000's, I would donate the proceeds to St. Judes. I would be more than happy to check with the meet director of the upcoming meet to see if he would put LMTI as the raffle benefactor.

that would be absolutely amazing if you did that. It would really help out

I mean not only did we just lose our biggest fundraiser but we also got all of our state funding cut once the resession hit. So they are struggling. But they do alot fo kids, keeping them focused and off drugs, tobacco, and alcohol. Ironically we met last night and had our meeting at abar lol.

Miles Austin actually volunteered for this when he was in HS with the same people, so hes actually becoming involved. Hes bringing osmecowboys to some sort of event lol. I gotta duck that even though hahaha, bad news.

Boomer does alot too because its tied to CF and his kid had CF. Giants and Jets always donate tickets and autos for the events....

Out of all the people that help, its Miles Austin lmao
I researched the website earlier. It looks like a great organzation. She looked like a very sweet girl. We had to go for the CF suction cup test for my son when he was younger. I was traumatized with the thought of it. It ruled negative-thank god.

I will get in touch with the meet director of this upcoming contest(I am not sure who the md is yet) and see if he has a raffle foundation set-up. If not, this looks like a very legitimate choice.

Miles just went up a notch in my book, even if he is a cowboy.

yea man its a ****ed up disease. She wasn't suppose to live past 3, but she made it to 18. She was actually getting a kidney transplant and my aunt and uncle were giving up one of theirs. She passed away from complications after the surgery, some how she got a brain annurism(sp) and she passed

Yea man that would really be awesome. Thats actually what Miles did too. Theres some type of event going on where theres going to be NFL players and theres like raffle with prizes and they are donating all the proceeds to LMTI. So its cool ****.

Miles is a good guy from what I hear. I've had some situations with him personally with nothing to do with any of this, im just worried if he sees me how he'll react. So anything tha thes at I have to avoid. Lol, I can't even bring this up at the meeting or anything lol.
Wow, what a long journey for your cousin -aunt/uncle to have lived thru. My heart goes out to them. I will definitely follow up on it. Let me know when your event is scheduled for, this is the type of thing that my wife and I would love to support.

What issues do you have with MA personally LOL? Is there a restraining order on you from Miles Austin? Oh man! You really are my kind of NYG fan. Lmao.

Thanks thats awesome.

They have a cornhole tournament at the end of June, thats like a small thing. I'm hoping the concert will go off in the fall. I had a guy that knows Janes Addiction. We were trying to get them to do the show, but it seems thats fallen through. I didn't want to name drop and jinx it, but what ya gonna do. I'm going to aim for some east coast bands now.

Lol put it this way, I went to Monmouth for a year and was a drunk not an athlete and he grew up in the town next to the town i grew up in. Im not sure if he'd know me personally, but i think he might recognize my face lolol
"cornhole tournament" What the hell is that? My mind is in the gutter.

That band my daughter loves-action item(jersey guy's) I'll bet they would do your gig in a flash!
I can get their facebook stuff from my kid.

ah, You and miles are same generation/age?

yea hes 4 months older than me

That would be awesome... I got some floaters out there to a couple of bands since I got the Janes Addiction news so I dont want tohave too much out there. But that would def be a cool idea. I'll contact them once I get something back from the other ones that I sent out. If they all say yea, there won't be enough change in the piggy bank to make it happen and I dont want to have too much to deal with it. But i'll def keep them in mind

All to make a splash.

... and then go tBillups back who is a leader who does appreciate and understand defense and then had a decent signing in Jeffries....

make no mistake we all got excited but this knicks team is in patch work mode. When they hired DAntoni they knew he was offensive minded. You can't say it NEVER works, i mean look at the greatest show on turf. Then they signed Amare whose known for not playing DE

They will add the pieces needed. You act like the guys they traded were great defenders, they weren't. They got the best player in the deal and the best defensive player in the deal. They made the right move. Nuggets are so deep right now and its helping them out. JR is a monster

But pizz, if u think shot blocking and what Amare does is good defense, well ur out of ur mind. He is trying more and doing better, but hes far from good

A: Old Stadium, old people under blankets, listening to the radio, BARELY cheering when we scored

B: New Stadium, rich snobs, nobody (or very VERY few) wearing Giants apparel in ANY form, they prolly thought Peyton was our QB if they could even name 1 NFLer, EVERYBODY on their phones constantly, nobody paying enough attention to tell me to sit down... Except 1 guy who was THRILLED when we jacked the empty seats next to him.

Best place to sit, is easily the 300's between the 40's where people are 'directly asking' you to stand up/sit down (or else). They know when to get WILD and when to STFU, it was really a breath of fresh air when I found my home after getting booted from the 100's

From that point on, it became my duty to rid the stadium of old blood, and have real fans enter what I consider to be the quietest stadium in the NFL.

Yea man the only times Ive sat down there I either had

They know when to get WILD and when to STFU, it was really a breath of fresh air when I found my home after getting booted from the 100's

lmao...my only problem with sitting in the 300s, is that in the past when I have(only at like 2 Jets games...GET OFF MY BACK THEY WERE FREE TIX!! lol), i couldnt see jack****....i have bad enough vision as it is! add a rack of beer, and I can barely see straight anyway so I could get a better view from home at that point. lol....if 300s seats were even cheaper than they already are, i would def do it i guess tho. this season i might not have a choice but to go up there tho

What the hell is going on with the Knicks? 7-10 since the trade while Denver is 11-4.

well I'm eating crow on D'antoni...because I think he is the problem at the moment.
Amar'e is a beast, but he's also the only guy playing Defense. You see when they put Turiaf in last night, and every play was to Howard who just made turiaf his little ***** and scored and rebounded at will.

We should go out and hire Charles 'The Oak Tree' Oakley as head coach and Anthony Mason as his Assistant Coach. If players aint buckin up on D, then they'll HAVE TO answer in the locker room, and if you aint good or willing to play D, you better be able to take/duck a punch, LOL

Similar to Giants Stadium in the lower bowl between the 20's

lmao, thx for acknowledging that....
gotta be honest, my experience in the crowd at Giants games usually isnt pleasant from a surrounding fans standpoint.
At the Lions game this year, Brese and I got seated next to 2 strippers(clearly that wasnt the unpleasant part lol).
We chatted em up, and they told us they got the tickets from "their club" thats when we knew they were strippers lol...which I already suspected haha. Both were from Philly, both were Eagles fans, yet both wore Giants shirts....really? thx for the show.......

coaching and stratagy

best big man in the league, good role players, a top 5 PG (maybe top 7) and all they do is under achieve

i got a good story...

so the day before the Celtics vs Knicks Shaq flew to Newark. Hes apparently donating time and money to help rebuild and thats basically what my uncle does. He helps rebuild less fortunate areas like Orange and Newark.

So they had this grand reopening of like the only movie house in newark or something like that and it was gov. Paterson, Shaq, and my uncle up on the stage pretty much. So they are all talking like behind the scenes and somebody asked Shaq if he was going to come back for when they have the first showing

Shaq responds "Well it depends what they are playing"

My uncle Goes: "If we make Kazaam the first movie will you come?"

He said Shaq looked up at him and cracked up. Pointed at him and said "Wayne, your a funny guy Wayne. That was the joke of the day"

and then as he was leaving and sayin his good byes, he points at my uncle and goes "joke of the day man, joke of the day"

haha thought it wa scool. He said Shaq was a great guy

watched last night's ep of Lights Out....and it WAS awesome!

great filler episode since we're still waitin for the 'main event'
I watched parts of the 3/15 episode on demand last night. 3/22 is not available yet. Good show, I'm into it now. I picked up right after the scissor stabbing, the prednisone injection, the sister dating the bad guy and that fighter's way cool gym setup on the roof.

wait, so are you caught up, or you just watched that one ep?

Just that one. I recognize the "champ" from something else. There were alot of epi's on demand, that could easily fill a rainy weekend.

i didn't ge thome til like 1130 last night i still haven't watched it...

doing big things.

This is the boy bands myspace page. Young girls will be swooning over this crew. lol.

I get it, we play that game with a giants board at the Stadium!

a top 5 PG (maybe top 7)

Dwight Howard is one of the most underrated players in the NBA.

top 7 PG?? in Orlando?!? what? who?

Dwight Howard is rated just fine....

na Dwight Howards has like the plax effect. His mere presence just changes everything

hence why i said he's rated fine where he is...

best big guy in the game right now pretty much. how is that underrated? lol

i got a good story...

so the day before the Celtics vs Knicks Shaq flew to Newark.

LMAO

Nice story man, I could def imagine Shaq as one of the friendliest pro athletes out there

Well 300's between the 40's and only within the 1st few rows give an outstanding view where you can see the play develop and see all the cool stuff u miss on TV. Im sure the further up you get the less you can see but in my experience those 300s are the best

...Then again Ive never sat in the 200's, im sure thats the best. Too bad between the 20's its mostly club seats and boxes

yea I usually sit corner mezz
Only time I ever sat in the corner was in the 100s and for bits and pieces of the game, the view was great, but for 70% of the time the view blew dong. Im a huge sideliner, I sat there and never looked back
werent you in the 120's in the old stadium? yea i was a sideline guy. love watching the lines battle, but i must say the mezz endzone are amazing for seeing the secondary and wrs. amazing.
Nah, once in a while we would get tix down there but Ive never been a season ticket holder. Ill never sit behind the endzone, IMO thats the worst seat in the house, especially if you're in the 100s
I used to think the same thing, my buddy has seats directly behind the end zone row 20 something. I switched seats with him for the Titans game last year. Although, I prefer a side view of the game, the seats were not terrible. My preference is def from the side.

watched last night's ep of Lights Out....and it WAS awesome!

great filler episode since we're still waitin for the 'main event'
I watched parts of the 3/15 episode on demand last night. 3/22 is not available yet. Good show, I'm into it now. I picked up right after the scissor stabbing, the prednisone injection, the sister dating the bad guy and that fighter's way cool gym setup on the roof.

wait, so are you caught up, or you just watched that one ep?

Just that one. I recognize the "champ" from something else. There were alot of epi's on demand, that could easily fill a rainy weekend.

i didn't ge thome til like 1130 last night i still haven't watched it...

doing big things.

This is the boy bands myspace page. Young girls will be swooning over this crew. lol.

I get it, we play that game with a giants board at the Stadium!

This is the boy bands myspace page. Young girls will be swooning over this crew. lol.

I get it, we play that game with a giants board at the Stadium!
http://www.myspace.com/actionitem (http://)

haha they they got them every where now

alrite awesome, i got them on deck
I don't think they will break the bank. We were considering hiring them for a Birthday Party. I'm recalling they only wanted $500-700. Right now, they are all about the exposure they can get. Your function is in their home town, I'm thinking it fits well for them.

lmao...yea man...
what makes me mad, is that when i played, it was such a small sport for the area. even tho we were dominant, it was only family and our close friends who went to the games, even for the big rivalries. My brother was a freshman the year I graduated, and LITERALLY in his freshman year it became THEE BIGGEST spectator sport for our school and our rivals. so much so that spectators were banned because off-duty cops would no longer volunteer to patrol the games. lol. private security there was such a joke, and people were arrested CONSTANTLY!!! I still went a few times a year, and I was entertained by the badassery. lol
but even so, it gets so much coverage now, and so I get all pissy when its talked about because nobody cared when we played, and were just as good. lol

actually i just read that last night they dropped their first game 4-3, but they play again tmrw, i think it's round robin or something.

lmao...yea man...
what makes me mad, is that when i played, it was such a small sport for the area. even tho we were dominant, it was only family and our close friends who went to the games, even for the big rivalries. I still went a few times a year, and I was entertained by the badassery. lol
but even so, it gets so much coverage now, and so I get all pissy when its talked about because nobody cared when we played, and were just as good. lol
Pizz and Dezz cross-training for hockey :

Who is going to have the 100,000th post. We should have a pool.

how do we find out if we just ignore the fact, and go back looking later on? where does it show what each post # is? is see that we are 98,XXX but idk where to look after that lol
Look up top of the page under the thread title gives you the number and the last one to postNever noticed that. 100k will be just a matter of weeks.

but I mean keep the guy on the roster for when u suit up POsada behind the plate and let him get some swings at DH

i just want a beast team to win it. But having UConn do it with the road they traveled would be awesome.

And I can shut up my ACC friend who hates the Beast and constantly breaks my balls

My pops is a HUUGE CBB guy and Beast lover. He said this may be one of the most untalented UConn teams that have been around in a while, but they are finally playing like they have something to prove. Past few years of Uconn, they would step on the court expecting teams to bow out gracefully

Was Doug Lindsey coach when you played? What's their chances of winning it all?

no, he coached after me, started when my brother was in school.

actually i just read that last night they dropped their first game 4-3, but they play again tmrw, i think it's round robin or something.

My HS hockey team was, meh. It was def a wild, and rough and tumble time... Could you even imagine ya boy Kase-1 layin down the HURT on the ice???

lmao...yea man...
what makes me mad, is that when i played, it was such a small sport for the area. even tho we were dominant, it was only family and our close friends who went to the games, even for the big rivalries. I still went a few times a year, and I was entertained by the badassery. lol
but even so, it gets so much coverage now, and so I get all pissy when its talked about because nobody cared when we played, and were just as good. lol
Pizz and Dezz cross-training for hockey :

did a little of that as well until i ****ed my knee up. my friends marc and brian were siiick pulling crazy **** i would never try. lol i wanted to be like that kid in the movie airborne. no, not seth green
I'm ok with in-line skating until I see this guy skating, lmao

LOL, now THAT'S Dezz doing some off-season training..... Then he goes into a union square bathroom for some 'training'

this is why cashman is the worst GM ever. Just shut the **** up and open your wallet you useless piece of ****. this is why the only players we bring up stay permanent bench players or get traded. the only players we've kept in the past 10 years are Hughes and Joba.

and its hard to justify a dh spot with Posada so bad behind the plate as well. Hes going to have to regular there

yea but they had said a week or 2 ago, that he has come a long way defensively since the original reports of his mediocre platework. thats what i dont get.

i think he gets rid of a lot of talent in the minors and our young guys with potential to land big names. then he runs it by steinbrenner, they hear the big names and they like it. not saying i have a problem with it, but look at how we go about moving players since cashmans been here. jeter, mo, posada, andy are the only yankees that came up from our farm system since hughes and joba. thats not a good thing imo

well u def got that backwards though. Hes the one thats been out there asking to preserve the minors. hes the one that wants to build it up and stop going after these over the hill guys and over pay them. Your kind of contradicting urself on ur stance.

Gardener, Cano, Nova, Montero, Pena

Since cashman took this stance we have only gotten like supreme FAs (besides Burnett, that was a debatable deal). Hes the one that wanted to keep these guys...

Another deal in question was Granderson for Austin Jackson... looks like we got beat there...

but we can't even talk **** cuz we were all about it

Grandy is banged up already

Posada’s future in New York will obviously depend on how well he plays this season at age 39, but top prospect Jesus Montero (http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=MLB&id=4663)‘s development will also play a big factor. Montero’s defense behind the plate gets mixed reviews at best, so if his bat proves ready and the Yankees become convinced he’s not a full-time option at catcher he seems destined for designated hitter, which would all but push out Posada.

Posada stressed “I really don’t want to go anywhere else” and “I would like to stay here,” but it’s tough to see where he’d fit into the Yankees’ plans as anything more than a bench player in 2012 if Montero isn’t behind the plate (or traded to another team, of course).

its not even cashmans wallet... and the spending control came from ownership

i dunno man. They really say that Montero is PUTRID behind the plate.

and its hard to justify a dh spot with Posada so bad behind the plate as well. Hes going to have to regular there

yea but they had said a week or 2 ago, that he has come a long way defensively since the original reports of his mediocre platework. thats what i dont get.

btw, the comment abt stfu and open the wallet was sarcastic. i know its not his money, but he has way too much control.
its yankee propaganda. and i agree cash has way tomuch control.

how does the general manager have too much control?

lol especially in yankee land
i think he gets rid of a lot of talent in the minors and our young guys with potential to land big names. then he runs it by steinbrenner, they hear the big names and they like it. not saying i have a problem with it, but look at how we go about moving players since cashmans been here. jeter, mo, posada, andy are the only yankees that came up from our farm system since hughes and joba. thats not a good thing imo

well u def got that backwards though.

Grandy is banged up already
saying something and doing it are two totally different things. we dont know what goes on behind the scenes, we can only put 2 and 2 together. yea, gardener and cano too. so 8 players in 15 years from the farm. its still not good.

not really. but im tolerant of it most of the time.
I guess my main beef the past few months is that I am constantly accomdating other people's schedules and requests, changing my shifts all the time.
And when I need a day off, it's a big song and dance. Not only would nobody cover my shifts, my supervisor had to solicit coverage to replace me for the 2 days i took off last week. What does that say about my coworkers? They should kind of be embarassed that that had to be done considering the weight I pull for them.

Ok, thats my rant for the day, not that it's a long one or anything lol

not really. but im tolerant of it most of the time.

Sorry Pizz, you sound completely justified in your thinking. That is bs that your supervisor had to solicit coverage for your day's off ...so in essence it draws attention to your time off, but you're the good guy who covers for everyone else when they want to take off. Your co-workers should reciprocate your flexibility.

yea i TRY not to complain about it, but it makes ME look bad, even tho it SHOULD make THEM look bad...so yea it bothers me. I'm not unreasonable. I was asked again today to move my shift to a close next friday, and i agreed, but i brought up that it was BS that OF COURSE I was the one who was asked....
Agreed, because no one is flexible enough to cover for you, it is your time off that is more visible when compared to yours. Really Sucks. I know the distance is too far, but the Brewster Brewers branch is a gosh darn shangri-la.

/FACEPALM!!!! ugh...

yea the issue with me being a bad guy, is that our managment keeps a "timeline" of everything we do here. it's a log of everything good, and of course bad...that I do. Mine is essentially a gold mine for my resume at this point, and that combined with supervisor feedback, and my sales track record, i can go wherever I want, so I gotta keep it clean. The only time someone MIGHT get a leg up on me is if it were a promotion. idk if i would even do that though. lol

I cant leave here yet really, my best friend works here as a teller office employee, and if i dont keep her in line, she wouldnt have a job very long. lol...
her lack of adult responsibility has increased dramatically lately, which is somewhat concerning, but whatever, i cant be her father. lol

Brings up a good theory, that you can't be friends with people who work for you. Now this conflicts with the promote from within system. If you are a worker and work in a particular department, you become friends with your co-workers, then you get a promotion and become the boss of said dept. The dynamics of the bus. relationship with your co-workers instantly changes. Of course the priority is that the job get done because it's your *** on the line for it, but if your workers think they are your friends it could be a problem.

I'm sorry. I'm getting a bit old here, but I swear you said that you try no to complain about your job.

I'm sure I read that wrong.

What's the latest with the Old Gunz band logo? You have not mentioned anything lately.

Thanks for asking. We have revised it slightly. We have a rehearsal tonight and are supposed to be looking at a new bass player. If he works out, our cuurent bass player can play lead guitar.

closing again....i hate my life.
Im considering a transfer, but it wont be better elsewhere I feel, so idk....you like your job?

not really. but im tolerant of it most of the time.

When you think a team has no chance is sometimes when a young team shines.

Dustin Pedroia was the worst selection for MVP ever. And I will stand by that...

2008-Pedroia - .326 avg, 213 hits, 83 RBIs, 118 Runs, 20 SB .376 OBP----wins MVP

2006-Jeter-----.343 avg, 214 hits, 97 RBIs, 118 runs, 34 SB, .471 OBP -----wins nothing

Mauer, Morneau, and even Youk should have won the 08 MVP over Pedroia.

It's ok I guess tho, since he has been invisible since.
