Hello from France buttmunches.

Friggin expensive here.

I still predict Ingram but hoping for Smith.

Morehead

Hey I hear that don't wear pants in the southern part of France they use grass some how...bad I know its all I got ...have a great time bring back pics...beaches..lol

Well I'm here in my hotel room.* Its 9:30 and we just came from dinner.* I need some down time since I haven't slept since Tuesday night.** I'm hoping to stay awake (or at least go to sleep and wake up for the draft)* The only way I have of following it is here on the computer interweb.

I still say Ingram although I would disagree with that pick.* My pick would be Jimmy Smith assuming that Costanzo is gone at 19.

Tomorrow is a 9 hour private tour with me, my daughter and my son in law of all the battle sites and cemeteries.* I expect that it will be emotional and I'm looking forward to it very much.

Lets hope someone good drops to us tonight......
Yea ..While I didn't have to serve I had plenty of friends who did..I have a great respect for our vets past and present...I get emotional just thinking about all the brave soul who gave their lives for our freedom,,,Aresome*you get to see them places/*beaches Chris my highest regards to all the fallen...*

I really can't handle it. I made the decision in high school that I would not enlist ever.
My cousin is a marine sergeant(23 years old), and had 3 tours in Afghanistan and, I struggle to listen to **** he has seen and done without tearing up....I just cant handle it. I hate to think how his life has been affected so much, but something he can't control....

Met's are on a roll, but I'm not getting too excited.* We should have Cam Newton go first in about 10-15 minutes.
i didnt accomplish much....except i tore a mattress pad cover thing...whatever the **** it's called and had to go buy a new one.....of course while I'm at the store i also felt it necessary to buy more pillows but AT LEAST i threw 2 others out this time lol. new pillows are the **** imo ;PI know your a rockstar, so I'm not going to ask-how your tore the pad--lol.* I sleep with 4 full size pillows and 1 smaller one.

LMAO....nah i was just cleaning up today, in case I meet a lovely lady this weekend who might want to see my room....
I was changing the sheets, and I thought i had pulled up every side of that cover, i pulled from the end of the bed, and the entire corner ripped right thru lol...im not very gentle with **** i dont care about....

So, not to change the subject off the draft...but....
I'm checking my fantasy baseball team, see what theyve done....I noticed the Rays went OFF on Minny today in the 1st game of their double header. I had Upton and Damon play they combined for:
6for8, 3 RBIs, 6 Runs, and 2 SB
I'm like awesome...let me go see what my opponent did so far...
He has Ben Zobrist.....
also 3 for 4, but the mother****er had 8 RBIs....WTF!??!
So I see the highlights fro mthe 2nd game that just started, and Zobrist hits ANOTHER HR! 2 Runs....
Just to recap.... 4 for 5, 2 HR, 10 RBIs.....and its only the 3rd inning....

Whats up Kase man??

I actually think this was a good pick for them. Locker was not that bad behind the most horrid O-Line in all of football. They do need a QB and Shanny would have taken him a couple picks later...imo.

I saw the Locker pick coming.....This Blaine Gabbert pick makes the Locker choice look like a genius pick..... I may eat crow down the line but Gabbert is nothing special, he played in the same system as Chase Daniels nad look how he transitioned to the NFL. Mizzou is a QB friendly system n the numbers are inflated

haha.
he's a CB. he was on nearly every draft board as a top 10 pick, and he fell to us. I honestly didnt think he'd be even close to us. So I'm happy with the pick I think.

That being said, we better do our due diligence drafting a good OL in the 2nd....I would hope anyway

proven throughout his career that he has the size, physicality and
athleticism to be a first-round pick. Most teams believe that to warrant
consideration as a top-10 pick, a cornerback has to have elite ball
skills. This is the area of concern for Amukamara, despite the fact that
he was a standout running back in high school. Amukamara intercepted
only five of the 27 passes he broke up over his career. Oddly, all five
interceptions came during his junior season. - Rob Rang,

Overview

A highly-regarded high school running back out of Arizona, Amukamara
(ah-MOO-kuh-MAR-ah) might have made an impact on this draft at his
former position considering his natural skills and the dearth of
backfield talent in this class. But when coach Bo Pelini arrived in
Lincoln, he convinced Amukamara to give defense a chance, and both have
played major roles in the resurgence of the Blackshirts.

Amukamara's parents are from Nigeria, but he grew up in Glendale,
Ariz. After a slow start at Nebraska, he started to get comfortable at
cornerback as a sophomore, leaning on his natural instincts and learning
how to use his size and speed to his advantage.

As a junior, he showed the complete package as a press-cover
corner with 64 tackles, two for loss, five interceptions and 11 pass
breakups. Amukamara briefly considered bolting for the NFL, but opted to
return to Lincoln. He earned All-American honors in 2010, although he
failed to pick off any passes as quarterbacks shied away from his
direction.

Amukamara believes he is an impact cornerback, and treated the
scouting combine as a business trip to silence his critics. For those
who questioned his straight-line speed? "I think some people don't know
what they're talking about," Amukamara said two days before he dropped a
4.38-second 40-yard dash.

Amukamara is a former point guard who sees himself as a leader on
the defensive side of the ball. He has talked to former Nebraska
teammate Ndamukong Suh, the No. 2 overall pick last year by Detroit, and
plans on bringing that confident attitude to the NFL. He's concerned
only about making his own impact at the next level, and not trying to
compare himself to others.

"I think every player who considers himself great should have their own identity," he said.

Analysis

Read & React: Strong instincts with very quick reactions. Reads
the quarterback's eyes and anticipates routes, closing quickly to jump
underneath routes. Gets into the flat in a hurry to attack screen plays
and outside runs. Inconsistent biting on double moves and pump fakes,
will get overly aggressive during the course of a game and give up the
deep ball.

Man Coverage: Perfect NFL press-cover corner with his combination
of size, strength and speed. Is patient in man coverage, reading the
receiver's move and reacting quickly. Quick feet and smooth hips to turn
and run, maintains contact with most any receiver down the sideline.
Closes well when playing off the line, attacks midsection and wraps to
tackle. Capable of playing very physically, especially in the five-yard
area. Has the lateral movement to shadow jerk routes. Maintains cushion
in his backpedal.

Zone Coverage: Owns the prototypical man-press build but has the
closing speed and physicality to excel in zone coverage. Excellent
anticipation of underneath throws, cuts under receivers to make a play
on the ball with exceptional hand-eye coordination. Comes off deep
routes to support shorter patterns to his side. Secure tackler who
rarely gives up yards after the catch. Has dropped interceptions not
thrown in his breadbasket. Fair foot speed in his backpedal, but needs
to stay over his feet instead of leaning backward.

Closing/Recovery: Excellent closing speed for his size. Changes
from pedal to forward motion quickly, plants hard and has a burst to the
ball. Inconsistent recovery speed if frozen by double move, can get
back into the play (and make a play on the ball) but quicker receivers
seem to maintain separation.

Run Support: Has the size and aggressive nature to excel in run
support. Willing cut tackler, gets into the thigh of the running back.
Good strength to rip off receiver blocks, could be more consistent using
his hands to disengage. Sticks his nose into piles and can stand up
running backs coming with a head of steam.

Tackling: Excellent strength for the position, effective wrapping
up receivers after the catch or cutting down backs in run support.
Breaks down in space to avoid missed tackles. Will attack the shoulder
pads of running backs to bring them down or force them out of bounds.
Very effective cut tackler whether attacking the thighs of running backs
or violently taking out the legs of receivers in the open field. Even
when he does not bring down the ballcarrier, he gets enough to slow him
down giving help time to arrive. Helps teammates finish off tackles in
space. Could be more consistent getting off receiver blocks.

Intangibles: Spiritual man, involved with Fellowship of Christian
Athletes. Has matured greatly since arriving on campus, applying
himself on the practice field and the film room more diligently since
2009. Parents are from Nigeria

haha.
he's a CB. he was on nearly every draft board as a top 10 pick, and he fell to us. I honestly didnt think he'd be even close to us. So I'm happy with the pick I think.

That being said, we better do our due diligence drafting a good OL in the 2nd....I would hope anywayFell a little bad for Ingram fallen so far down

03/30/2011 - Overrated: Prince Amukamara, Nebraska: Amukamara has proven throughout his career that he has the size, physicality and athleticism to be a first-round pick. Most teams believe that to warrant consideration as a top-10 pick, a cornerback has to have elite ball skills. This is the area of concern for Amukamara, despite the fact that he was a standout running back in high school. Amukamara intercepted only five of the 27 passes he broke up over his career. Oddly, all five interceptions came during his junior season. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

Overview

A highly-regarded high school running back out of Arizona, Amukamara (ah-MOO-kuh-MAR-ah) might have made an impact on this draft at his former position considering his natural skills and the dearth of backfield talent in this class. But when coach Bo Pelini arrived in Lincoln, he convinced Amukamara to give defense a chance, and both have played major roles in the resurgence of the Blackshirts.

Amukamara's parents are from Nigeria, but he grew up in Glendale, Ariz. After a slow start at Nebraska, he started to get comfortable at cornerback as a sophomore, leaning on his natural instincts and learning how to use his size and speed to his advantage.

As a junior, he showed the complete package as a press-cover corner with 64 tackles, two for loss, five interceptions and 11 pass breakups. Amukamara briefly considered bolting for the NFL, but opted to return to Lincoln. He earned All-American honors in 2010, although he failed to pick off any passes as quarterbacks shied away from his direction.

Amukamara believes he is an impact cornerback, and treated the scouting combine as a business trip to silence his critics. For those who questioned his straight-line speed? "I think some people don't know what they're talking about," Amukamara said two days before he dropped a 4.38-second 40-yard dash.

Amukamara is a former point guard who sees himself as a leader on the defensive side of the ball. He has talked to former Nebraska teammate Ndamukong Suh, the No. 2 overall pick last year by Detroit, and plans on bringing that confident attitude to the NFL. He's concerned only about making his own impact at the next level, and not trying to compare himself to others.

"I think every player who considers himself great should have their own identity," he said.

Analysis

Read & React: Strong instincts with very quick reactions. Reads the quarterback's eyes and anticipates routes, closing quickly to jump underneath routes. Gets into the flat in a hurry to attack screen plays and outside runs. Inconsistent biting on double moves and pump fakes, will get overly aggressive during the course of a game and give up the deep ball.

Man Coverage: Perfect NFL press-cover corner with his combination of size, strength and speed. Is patient in man coverage, reading the receiver's move and reacting quickly. Quick feet and smooth hips to turn and run, maintains contact with most any receiver down the sideline. Closes well when playing off the line, attacks midsection and wraps to tackle. Capable of playing very physically, especially in the five-yard area. Has the lateral movement to shadow jerk routes. Maintains cushion in his backpedal.

Zone Coverage: Owns the prototypical man-press build but has the closing speed and physicality to excel in zone coverage. Excellent anticipation of underneath throws, cuts under receivers to make a play on the ball with exceptional hand-eye coordination. Comes off deep routes to support shorter patterns to his side. Secure tackler who rarely gives up yards after the catch. Has dropped interceptions not thrown in his breadbasket. Fair foot speed in his backpedal, but needs to stay over his feet instead of leaning backward.

Closing/Recovery: Excellent closing speed for his size. Changes from pedal to forward motion quickly, plants hard and has a burst to the ball. Inconsistent recovery speed if frozen by double move, can get back into the play (and make a play on the ball) but quicker receivers seem to maintain separation.

Run Support: Has the size and aggressive nature to excel in run support. Willing cut tackler, gets into the thigh of the running back. Good strength to rip off receiver blocks, could be more consistent using his hands to disengage. Sticks his nose into piles and can stand up running backs coming with a head of steam.

Tackling: Excellent strength for the position, effective wrapping up receivers after the catch or cutting down backs in run support. Breaks down in space to avoid missed tackles. Will attack the shoulder pads of running backs to bring them down or force them out of bounds. Very effective cut tackler whether attacking the thighs of running backs or violently taking out the legs of receivers in the open field. Even when he does not bring down the ballcarrier, he gets enough to slow him down giving help time to arrive. Helps teammates finish off tackles in space. Could be more consistent getting off receiver blocks.

Intangibles: Spiritual man, involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Has matured greatly since arriving on campus, applying himself on the practice field and the film room more diligently since 2009. Parents are from Nigeria

Really good quality athlete in my opinion. Even though-I wanted o-line, this was the best move based on who was on the table at the time. Overly agressive get's interceptions after he gains solid nfl experience. Sounds very Asante Samuel like.

whats up fellas! Haven't be on in a while. The whole lockout thing has me in a semi-bitter mood. I did not watch the draft until after I saw that the GMEN had a chance at Prince.

After that my mood changed a little, just a little more positive towards the NFL.

Hey LT on Facebook I posted something like the fresh Prince of Meadowlands or maybe the Fresh Prince of East Rutherford-Air.

Hope everyone is having a great Friday so far! My thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by the tornadoes the passed few days!

We got lucky here in the Nashville TN area, mostly just heavy rain, a little thunder and some wind gusts

on the depth chart he likely will, tho i dont think Ross is going anywhere. This adds depth though, which is a good thing. and it makes TT more versatile if they wanna give him time at safety where we are still kinda thin. Unless they find a guy that ends up being a stud in camp somehow.

as long as that contract is destroyed with money hes owed, getting bush would be EXACTLY what we need. a 3rd down back that can catch and a returner. :( Hix would probably be gone

And if we had a semi creative offensive coordinator it would be absolutely perfect, but ya know we can't rely on that
The addition of Bush would be exactly what our offense needs, very tiki-like to open things and allow Eli the short dump off guy when he needs it. Is it just me, I know Reggie came back from the broken leg, has he missed a step or does he have alot of fball left in him?

Not sure who this prince guy is but I'm happy that everyone's happy haha. he's a CB. he was on nearly every draft board as a top 10 pick, and he fell to us. I honestly didnt think he'd be even close to us. So I'm happy with the pick I think. That being said, we better do our due diligence drafting a good OL in the 2nd....I would hope anywayFell a little bad for Ingram fallen so far downYeah--He's just not getting the love. Dezz... what position does Prince play?
lol whys that directed at me?

you've put up resistance to me about Ross and Webby.......

i've been tellin you that a CB can absolutely be a position we look at in the first. You weren't willing to accept that
no, you said they werent that good or cweb wasnt that good. thats what i wasnt willing to accept. i even said we should take a corner if hes available and good a few weeks ago. ross is do do. i hope prince takes his spot immediately

on the depth chart he likely will, tho i dont think Ross is going anywhere. This adds depth though, which is a good thing. and it makes TT more versatile if they wanna give him time at safety where we are still kinda thin. Unless they find a guy that ends up being a stud in camp somehow.
I would see it as C-Web, TT, Prince, Ross at corner....anyone know if we kept the other jobbers? Johnson or anyone?
TT CW are our bread and butter. Agree next in line would be Ross/Prince. Let's see what Prince does on the field though. Depth can never hurt, especially if we ever get injuries like we had to our wr's and oline last year.

Agreed AR should be the one concerned for his job. A good coach recognizes his players individual abilities and puts them in position to make plays based on schemes suited to them.

The Knock on ross is his strength, hes not strong enough to play press

I didn't say he was overly impressive, just in terms of our situation at CB he was the best, if not a close second

and hes going to make 500k this year then is a FA that won't demand a contract like Webster got. And is also versatile enough to play both press and off the ball

Webster also is due 8mil this year, 6.5 the following, the 7 the year after that

im just saying though....9 times outta 10, youre stuck with players.....sure you can cut them with a penalty, but you cant get rid of a player like webster.
im sorry, but nothing thomas did last year impressed me. none of the corners really did anything special.
webster even runs zone pretty well now. thats why i think tt struggled last year

I didn't say he was overly impressive, just in terms of our situation at CB he was the best, if not a close second

and hes going to make 500k this year then is a FA that won't demand a contract like Webster got. And is also versatile enough to play both press and off the ball

Webster also is due 8mil this year, 6.5 the following, the 7 the year after that

at the time of that contract, Webster was statistically rated the 2nd best CB in the league....
I know it's alot of money.
and 500k is pretty much the minimum, whichmost rooks get coming out of college(not high first rounders obviously), so even if i didnt know what TT got paid, i woulda guessed 500k lol

yea...wtf? Neither of them should be concerned. it's Ross that should start looking for a job...lol

i dont think webster has played up to the contract he got yet...

TT has played on his level and his cheaper and younger

PRince may end up our best CB
cause we are not running the right schemes. his best years were with spags, when he was mostly in press. tt was getting beat ALL year and qbs would look to him right after the snap.

the reason is moot

if we're not going to be running the schemes to suit him, then we won't need him
if we wont call plays that suit our players strengths, then we dont need fewell. and the reason is not moot imo cause its fixable. tt easily gave up more tds than webster. where are you coming from?

TT also had a wider range of plays being thrown at him...

do the percentage of it and im sure Webster have a worse numbers

Webster isn't our whole team. While it may not be the best play calling for him specifically, it may be better overall. Maybe the rest of our CBs flourish under the system

TT had a better year than webster

all of our corners are press corners. do you remember how terrible corey was when he first came here under lewis who ran zone? then spags showed up and corey magically became a shutdown corner. giants have to play to their strengths.

besides webster, who else is considered a press corner?

The Knock on ross is his strength, hes not strong enough to play press

Thomas is considered versatile and so is Prince. Guys that aren't only effective playing one way.

While I do agree I would like to see mor epress coverage, besides Webster nobody else's strong point is press coverage
i just showed you they were lol what are you basing that on? thomas is a big corner and should be in wr faces.
ross may not jam well cause hes not strong enough but he can still play man.

im sick of teams running slants against us with no one covering them and thats due to our corners playing 10 yards off them. when a qb sees man theres a better chance of him looking else where, wasting precious time as our dline ascends on him and eats him alive. it feeds off each other.

i fail to see how a brandon burton scouting report and a writer pointing out that Spags prefers the Press while Fewell prefers to play off proves anything about Ross and Thomas...

And the point is they are playing at a pretty comparable level. And when TT gets his contract it will be no where near what Webby is getting. We are overpaying for webby right now and thats the bottom line

so today we're doing this member appreciation day thing, and we get to wear jeans, but we have to wear these awful company tshirts.
Well, even when im in logowear polo shirts, and khakis and such, people are always bent out of shape that we arent servicing them in like a suit or tie, as if my clothing is going to make the service better (trust me, we're worlds above every bank in every single aspect)...

So today we been getting looks, and this one lady is like "why are u wearing jeans? and why are you only wearing a tshirt??" so i just kinda looked at her, paused for a sec, looked down at what i was wearing...and kinda loudly im like;
"casual friday! NAILED IT!!!"

what i meant to say was, "im wearing jeans and a tshirt for the same reason u think its appropriate to leave the house in sweatpants, trash..."

haha or Hank Moody from....FOREVER AND EVER!

we've had this discussion I think tho, and it's unfortunate that the masses will never experience the amazingness that is Californication since its on showtime.
I wont deny xfiles was huge in its heyday

or the hand model guy from Zoolander

honestly, he'll always be Fox Mulder to the general public

lmao...that was such a ridiculous cameo. awesome.
havent seen that movie in forever. And to be perfectly honest, the first time i watched Zoolander, i hated it. But then for some reason i bought the DVD when it came out, and from that point on, i loved it!

lol thats so funny me too

i couldn't stand it when it came out

but then comedy central made me love it [:|]
Your avi--and Jim Carey in Pet Detective was awesome!! "BumbleBee Tuna, your balls are showing" loved that movie.

It's things like this that show that gms are regular humans and are capable of being pretty stupid and shortsighted. The way Atlanta was being built, if they consistently added talent(especially to their defense) then they could have been a damn good team forever. Now, by doing this, you cripple those chances to potentially win a SB by adding of all things a WR. Notably known to be a position that takes ample time to transition.

Ladies and gentlemen this is why bpa is so strongly suggested. There is great value to be had at any pick

Extreeemly happy with this draft. Obviously the fact that Prince fell to us was a great start. Reminds me of the way that Rodney Hampton dropped to us in 1990, and that one worked out great.

But the best part for me was the drafting of Greg Jones. This guy transformed a Michigan State defense and in turn the entire team. He is an All American LB. Great instincts, covers well underneath and wonderful leader on the field. i see another Antonio Pierce type player with better speed. All the intangables.

As a MSU fan, I am delighted to see him shed that God awful green uniform for Giants Blue.

morning all....

I'd say we get a B+ in this year draft. I'm very content with it. Getting Prince where we did started us off immediately at an A. lol...we had nowhere to go but down, but we didn't. I liked all the picks exactly where they happened. Except WR, coulda been done later I felt, though I don't know much about Jernigan.

At first the Austin pick confused me, and was a bit unsettling because it might mean we arent confident about Cofield coming back. But we have good DTs anyway, and everything I've read about Austin says for his size, he's extremely fast. As long as he stops the run, I'm cool with the pick.

I really like the Brewer pick for OT. I really thought we'd go OT in the 3rd round, if what they say is true, this kid could start as a rookie if we wanted him to. Ideally I think the team wants to move Diehl inside, and slowly phase out McKenzie, and start Beatty. This might initially be a depth pick, but I bet the kid starts in 2 years.

I'm glad you guys like Jones, because I really know nothing about him. So I jsut hope he works out for what they are looking for. LB is always an important pick in my book, but we dont seem to utilize the young ones very often.

i agree

I just can't believe they are getting praised by EVERYBODY for making that trade. I haven't heard one outlet on TV say how much they risked to make this move as being an issue.

And every explanation they had was they got blown out by 28 points to the Packers in the playoffs, so they wanted some players to combat that with offense.

How bout some defense? 20th in pass defense and 22nd in sacks

This may be the worst draft trade decision I have ever seen. It rivals the John Elway for Chris Hinton and Mark Hermann trade of 1983.

i siad this is up there with the Herschel Walker, Ricky Williams, and Roy Williams trades

so whats every ones take so far? hope jerrnigan is as good as people are saying. not sure about austin, herd he missed a whole year but im reading hes a freak

i love the Austin, Prince, Jones, Sash, and Brewer picks

Austin was suppose to be a top 5 pick this year if he played. We got him in the 2nd round. SICK VALUE

PRince, was a no brainer. Im not that confident in him as most, but I can't kill us for making the move

They say Jones could of been drafted in the second round and nobody would of said anything.

Sash is going to be HUGE on STs for us.

Some places say that Brewer could start this year if needed, thats how NFL ready he is. HE can play left AND right tackle. Thats awesome

not a fan of JJ. I get the value picks, but there is a sense of being insane about it. Notice there was alot of value at DE and QB and we didn't make moves there. I feel like that was a wasted pick. We have the most boring offensive coordinator in the world, so what he could bring in the Wildcat for us was moot. I hate it. I really can't think of any reason why this was a good pick

yea thats the one pick I didnt like....not woth the pick. I dont even care if it's for depth. If it's depth we need(and im not saying we dont) it just means we get injured too often. we have plenty of serviceable WRs AFTER our top 3 guys. I just dont think it was necessary when we could have used compensatory picks later for a WR

For a small guy he keeps his feet moving, and does not go down easily.

It's a simple move why the Giants drafted him.

Smith had a serious knee injury and is a free agent.

Hixon came off a injury.

This is Bardens last year to prove he is worth keeping.

Cruz still has alot to prove.

Manningham is a free agent after the season.

Jerrel gives us an option for the wildcat on offense, he can play the slot, or play out from the back field.

He played qb in highschool so he can throw. I think most fans are discouraged with the pick cause they see Sinorice Moss in JJ.

so whats every ones take so far? hope jerrnigan is as good as people are saying. not sure about austin, herd he missed a whole year but im reading hes a freak

i love the Austin, Prince, Jones, Sash, and Brewer picks

I like the JJ pick.

I will admit I dont know much about his game, but from what I saw I love his speed and elusiveness.

They are two different players, there size is the only thing they have in common.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63lbmKiBWl0

i bet he never sees the field
i was reading that he could be used in a wild cat. i would want him at halfback running around in the flats. he looks crazy in open space. i dont think we need him at wr but it does raise some questions about smiths injury. people are comparing him to desean. i dont know about that.

JJ gives us another weapon on offense.

You have to put in account where he lines up on the field.

Of course the NFL game is much faster then it is at Troy. But this kid I feel could be a a good pick for us.

I have listened to his interviews too, seems like a good guy who loves the game.

you make it sound like we have Sean Peyton though, we are the most unflashy and un sexy offense ever
JJ appears more than capable to run the wildcat, I agree in Gildbride not taking advantage of such a play. The use of the word "sexy" in last few month's is really troubling me.

invading another country, 60 miles from their capital without them knowing

**** is crazy. Scouted the place out since August. Really is an amazing story
good job by obama but lets not give him all the credit.all he really did was give the thumbs up(i think its awesome how he gave the go for a kill mission) and **** the pakistanis. theyre saying the compound was a mile from a pakistani military base.

for once... just quit before u start

that was a HUUUUGE move to make.
honestly thats not a shot at obama at all. id say the same thing no matter who was in office. i think any president would of done it. our soldiers are taking the real risks and are the ones that should get the credit. thats just the way i see it.

and no, it doesnt justify it, to me anyway as a realist. 1 guy? I dont even want to know how many people have died from a direct result of this.
I come from a family with alot of military background, and let me tell you how tired of it we all are.
My cousin is a marine sergeant, and has lost count of how many of his friends have been killed. he also lost count of how many times HE should have died himself. it's ruined him, his faith, and dedication to a cause he was forced to have, and all he cares about are the people around him.

So yea, it's easy for us to sit at home, go to work every day, come home, watch some baseball, post on the giants forums. but it's at the expense of people like him...stuck somewhere he shouldnt be, doing things we have no business doing, and 10 years later, this still feels like the beginning.
none of this is worth the lost lives, and to think otherwise just because politicians say so, seems dumb.

Not to mention that now, the other terrorist leaders will step into Bin Laden's position and the process will continue.

it's an opinon i struggle with....we have the resources to help nearly anyone, but by "helping" we affect more than just whoever is victim, and that's where problems start. dunno

anyone else feeling very prideful that we got that **** sucker? im really pumped right now. not one seal was hit. amazing.

no....
because nobody gives a **** about how many thousands of people died for such a stupid cause. **** that...i dont care about this "news" at all
bring every single soldier home, and cut the military budget by 99%, and then maybe i'll show some American pride for such a stupid thing.

that was a stupid comment, if anything it justifies us being there for so long... there is actually progress. Well except for Iraq

apparently we're going to have to go **** up Yemin now before these ****ers bring that **** to our shores again. And to be honest, I think this is the start of something with Pakistan. That government was hiding him right under their noses.

well this is all very comforting.....
and no, it doesnt justify it, to me anyway as a realist.

I know it's not popular opinion to not be excited about something in the news of this magnitude, but I can't help how I feel about the whole ordeal. So, I'm sorry for that. =\

well i mean are we suppose to NOT go after these guys? I mean i'm all for pulling out of Iraq, but afganistan and yemin and pakistan?

I mean shouldwe just wait for another plane to go down before we make a move?

Everybody is tired of war, but keep in mind all the **** we don't hear about. These dudes are looking to kill Americans in masses. Do you not agree with that?

we're meddlers. it's why people hate us. yet we hunger for that **** like a bunch of ****ing crackheads. so it becomes an endless cycle. we **** around where we shouldnt, ppl hateus, they kill us, and then we say **** you, and invade, and spend years and years somewhere....
planes matt? really? who says that.....???
do you think we are scaring extremists? there are only 2 options; they do things, or they dont do things. there is no in between grey area where they exist but are too afraid to attack Americans.
I think we're starting to reach this point, where the bigger we build our military, the more it makes people want to harm us. And since all we spend tax money on is military, this is just the beginning. sickening really...
obamas cut military spending greatly. remember we didnt start this war. how can you blame america for some stupid muslims that take their religion to the extreme. they hate us because we support isreal and give them billions a year. and after killing obl, invading iraq, afghan you can bet your *** were scaring them. it shows well go to any length to hunt them down and bring them to justice for killing americans. if we do nothing it just emboldens them. unfortunately casualties come with war, but let me just say weve had less casualties than in any major war by tens of thousands, and weve been fighting for 10 years. amazing. unforntunately thats really the only thing that gets reported, are our soldiers dieing, but the truth is were kicking the talibans *** every time we come into contact with them. the taliban isnt stupid, they know they just have to wait us out and keep killing one american at a time and let our media take care of the rest, when in reality weve been winning both wars the whole time, just like vietnam. we won every battle but the america people got tired of it. . this is a major MAJOR blow to not only al qaida but also the taliban, especially since the taliban always starts its offensives in the spring. its a great day to be american and you should be proud.

while thats tru eto an extent, we're not really putting fear in them

these people are suicide bombers, they are ready to die
with out a doubt we are. look how things calmed down in both countries after the "surges". thats why these cowards plant ieds on the sides of roads. they know they cant beat our forces head on in a firefight. they fear our airforce especially the drones. thankfully not all these jihadist are suicidal. i just herd on the news bin ladin was using a woman as a human shield. he feared us.
Yes , Bin Laden is a coward. He was using a woman as a shield. I heard reports that we killed her to avoid any nonesense and then we took out Bin Laden.

so whats every ones take so far? hope jerrnigan is as good as people are saying. not sure about austin, herd he missed a whole year but im reading hes a freak

i love the Austin, Prince, Jones, Sash, and Brewer picks

I loved the Austin pick as I had that in my sig. forever and been watching him @ UNC for years he is gunna be Warren Sapp and outside of Marcel Dareus he is the most nasty DT in the draft !!!

Jerrel Jernigan....yeah I dunno bout a receiver there but he does run a 4.34 so speed kill and Steve Smith might not be right this year sorta like Kenny Phillips last season or Umenyiora the season before that soooo I guess we may need him @ some point.

Jones could start down the road and Brewer is a road-grader....overall I would have to give Reese a B+ for this draft.

i fail to see how we're meddlers in this specific case. I'm prett ysure the fight was taken to us. Clinton let that mother****er live, so did Bush sr.

he came after us.

Well i couldn't disagree more with most of your points

well in this scenario, youre right...
But thats how we get so tangled up in ****. I think the argument is actually whether or not America has a obligation and responsibility to act as big brother. that's where the meddling comes into play.
it's an opinon i struggle with....we have the resources to help nearly anyone, but by "helping" we affect more than just whoever is victim, and that's where problems start. dunno

we are the world power... we absolutely do. I agree its taken to some crazy degrees in certian cases like Iraq but yesterdays events have nothing to do with that.

Also by "helping" is what helps keep us in power

In the end we meddle for our financial interests. People die and our Military takes action to preserve any and all threats to our financial stability.

Yupppp

If our economy were completely self sufficient and did not require resources or product from any other countries, would our meddling be reduced? I think maybe a little bit, we would still have to contend with the lunatic that seems to pop up every 10 years who has a problem with the god that we worship being different than his.

if our economy was based on scarcity, necessity, supply and demand (ya know...what an economy SHOULD be based on) instead of astrictly monetary system which is knowingly flawed, we wouldnt be in the shape we are.

ur almost sounding like a communist

Do any of you have those underarmour type shirts? I got a great deal $10 each on a long sleeve and short sleeve version last week. I wanted the cold weather longsleeve for games. I know they are suppossed to fit snug. I am regularly a xxl. I needed a XXXL for the long sleeve one and it's still wicked tight in the forearms/bis. The short sleeve one I got is xxl and to be quite honest I feel like a god dam *** wearing that thing. There's no way I would leave the house in it.

My question is why don't the football players looks like fairy's in theirs?

Yes , Bin Laden is a coward. He was using a woman as a shield. I heard reports that we killed her to avoid any nonesense and then we took out Bin Laden.

ehh... those are details of war that are better left under the carpet....
