As for the NBA playoffs go. </p>

<font size="5">I hope the Bulls win it all. </font></p>

Or better yet, any other team then the Heat...</p>

</p>

</p>

me too....$50.00 out of Utah's pocket !</p>

</p>

The Bulls are the most complete team left in the playoffs. </p>

Also it's good for the city of Chicago. They went through some tough years after Jordan left. </p>

They are retiring Rodman's #. That's a big deal for Dennis.
</p>

Good for him. </p>

He was a key player to those championships for the Bulls</p>

Yep--A weird cat, but great player. He was on Howard this week for an interview-hyping his appearance at some strip club where they are going to put his jersey on the wall.
</p>

A weird cat is an understatement describing Rodman lol</p>

His sexual pref always confused me. I think he's bi. He's shagged lots of hot women, is still married(although has not lived with his wife in 10 years), but I don't get the woman's clothing thing.
</p>

I would not be shocked if he was bi. </p>

The guy went to a book signing in a wedding dress lol</p>

</p>

I know nuts. Howard always talks about the time where I think Rodman was married to Carmen Electra. Carmen came in on Rodman with another woman in bed and asked who the other woman was. Rodman said what woman? Oh, this woman, she fell out of the ceiling. lmao.
</p>

hahahahah</p>

And to think, who cheats on Carmen Electra? </p>

It must be nice to be a pro athlete </p>Right-Seriously, must be nice.

His career totals, highlights, awards etc.. There is no doubt he's a hof'er. I guess the question is if it should be the bulls jersey or previous teams?

I know he had Carmen Electra, Madonna and Michelle Moyer is his current wife. Trying to remember who else?

There's something to be said for job security and benefits. Your buddy's company sounds interesting. Once you get the needed skills, there's nothing stopping you from running an ad and getting the jobs yourself...very good supplemental cash that way. Do it now while your young...B and I will tell ya that one for sure.

I spoke with her at like 11:15, and shes like well i might still come up, its still early! im like...this is early?!?!? lol...I called her the next morning, and she never left, and I didn't hear from anyone all wknd, so nothing went on.</P>

Pitching was suffering miserably on Yanks side. I wanted to watch and get into the rivalry and all that, but kept getting distracted.

I am getting kinda good at Club Penguin. My little guy is a freaking Elite Penguin Task Force elite member...he's unreal. Club Penguin is the website that disney set-up. There are so many layers to it, it truly is amazing. It took us a few month's to accomplish all the missions. I like playing card-jitsu with the Sensai at the dojo, ice fishing and the coffee unload game, ice hockey is cool also.

I gotta say this...The Red Sox sweep the Yanks and go over .500. Not a peep from Moorehead.

Impressive, he's a stand up guy. Congrats MH
</P>

No big deal. Gotta beat the weaker sisters. Its expected.</P>

Now we need the Yankees to beat the Rays.</P>

</P>

I can't even come up with a response to the Yankees this weekend. </P>

They are just an average team right now. </P>

Too many over priced players who best years are way behind them (Jeter, Posada)</P>

Jeter was actually hitting really well prior to this series.
Posada shoudlnt even be on the active roster.

Yet people ****ing crucified me when I said we should get rid of him. He's literally become of no use to us, whatsoever.</P>

The pitching is the real problem. Even if CC was pitching well, you just don't have the starting pitching. We have some problems in the back of our rotation, but you guys have it all over the place.</P>

Plus, as you said, you have a lot of older players who are way past their prime. I think this is what happens when you sign old guys to long term contracts. Just wait until they extend CC until he's near 40. I will still never understand signing Arod for 10 more years when no one else was making any offers. That made no sense.</P>

CC has only had 2 rough outtings all year...actually 1, and like 2 dodgy ones.
Burnett I really cant complain about....
but the rest, we just dont have enough to hold it together it seems.
Actually, colon only had 1 bad outting also.....he just doesnt get run suport.
I think it's the total picture with our pitching that's not working out. Bullpen is underperforming too as of late, so it's not helping.</P>

No way that rotation doesn't fall apart. You're wistling past the graveyard. CC is good but Burnett is a head case and crumbles with any hint of adversity, Hughes has serious health problems. Colon has a history of falling apart and Garcia has to nibble on the corners to be effective. He can't get out patient hitters who force him to throw that 86 MPH fastball for a strike.</P>

And by the way, excluding Hughes, thats just 4 starters. Are you still holding out hope for Petitte?</P>

dezz...pitching is a problem. MH is right.
CC has been a work horse, pitching 8 inning games, even after giving up runs (which is kind of expected of him i guess). Burnett has been ok, nothing stellar. problem is, Nova is already gonna be limited come summer I would guess, and he hasnt been overly awesome. has trouble getting out of the middle of a game, and although I really cant complain about Colon(only has had 1 bad outting), him and Garcia are big question marks lasting in the summer.
at this point, idk if we can trade Joba. he had like a 2 weeks run with good outtings, but, the guy gives up runs every other game. i hate watching him pitch. the only way we trade him, is if he's in a package for a stud SP...we'll definitely be actively pursuing someone around the beak to move colon/garcia/nova out of the rotation. hopefully a faltering team will be looking to unload </P>

You're living in denial. The starting pitching is not good at all. Honestly, the only relable starter is CC and he has thrown a lot of pitches in the past 10 years. That may be a ticking time bomb.</P>

As for the lineup. Its obviously dynamic. But there are a lot of old guys who could also break down. Your team reminds me a little of the Celtics. It could all go at once. </p>

You're living in denial. <u>The starting pitching is not good at all.</u> Honestly, the only relable starter is CC and he has thrown a lot of pitches in the past 10 years. That may be a ticking time bomb.</p>

As for the lineup. Its obviously dynamic. But there are a lot of old guys who could also break down. Your team reminds me a little of the Celtics. It could all go at once. You would de better by not extending CC, and developing some young players. The Jorge thing is a warning that the run of this core is over.</p>what are you basing this on? how is jorge a warning? its over hyped media gaaaabage

The Jorge thing is a warning that the run of this core is over.</P>

I for one am not going to compare Jorge at 40, to Jeter.</P>

If this is case, It's gonna be weird not having the Yanks at the top all the time for a little while.
</P>

they always find ways to stay competitive even on "off" years.
the keys to baseball are pitching, and a dominant infield.
getting outfielders is a bonus!

We have what we need for the outfield, and Cano and Texaren't going anwhere. Minus A-Rod's terrible error last night, I'm still confidentwith him defensively, and if Jeter for some reason doesnt stay at SS, A-Rod can play either. And obviously can DH (although for his salary, that'd be a waste.
Pitching has been the main focus for the past 3 years, and we fill everything else accordingly, and have done a good job.

One problem we have run into, is that we no longer have alot of trade value to pursue non-free agents. The organization needs to quickly figure out what to do with Jesus Montero, because if they can't we may have no other option but to trade him. that would break my heart, but hey, you play to win the game, amirite? And Cashman and the Yanks know you cant just keep trading away your prospects to fill your holes.
Clearly we need to trade for a pitcher....it's somewhat obvious. But i'm not even sure what we'd sacrifice. all the trade offers over the past season for cliff lee, and a few others....all the wants were for Gardner, and Montero, and the Yanks didnt want to part with either. It's going to be interesting to see what happens.</P>

</P>

No big deal. Gotta beat the weaker sisters. Its expected.</P>

Now we need the Yankees to beat the Rays.</P>

</P>

I can't even come up with a response to the Yankees this weekend. </P>

They are just an average team right now. </P>

Too many over priced players who best years are way behind them (Jeter, Posada)</P>

</P>

That made no sense.</P>

the starting pitching is fine. its our bats. the yanks have to be one of the worst teams with runners in scoring position.
</P>

Are you still holding out hope for Petitte?</P>

aj is pitching very well as of late. pitched well against you last series if im not mistaken, and colon and garcia have been more than solid. like i said our whole lineup hasnt been hitting for almost 3 weeks now. we have two young studs in the minors. i herd hughes is looking better. plus andy coming back.
</P>

I heard that Mel Stottlemyre's sinker is looking good lately. keep a good thought.</P>

You crack me up Dez.</P>

how so? we keep getting good starts from at least 3 of our starting pitchers we are in good shape, which i think is more than possible. yanks can fill in the 4 and 5 spots with scrubs and hope for good outings from them, which is happening right now.
</P>

I'm not talking about the controversy. I'm talking about his ineffectiveness. He's a ctacher who can't catch and a mediocre hitter. If you can't playh the field, you better hit, and hit well. What is he on the team for?</P>

For the record, I have braced myself for rebuilding once this decade, so although it would be hard to swallow, I can handle it. lol
during A-Rod's contract dispute in 07, I thought we might get stuck with nothing the following year, becase we had Pettite, Mussina, and Wang as the only pitchers we could "rely" on. We would have basically had Jeter, and Cano. lol.....so i was prepared for it!

I don't think Hank and Hal are in a "rebuilding" state of mind. They will continue to aquire FA's and trade some of their prospects for big name players. Its an endless shell game. It keeps you competitive but it also makes it tough to develop young talent.</P>

I will say this though. I wish we had signed Russell Martin instead of you. Catching is definately our weekness.</P>

dont feel bad....80% of major league catchers are only there because they are the only people who can catch. </P>

edit - but yea, acquiring top level talent works, but it's walking a fine line, where you could easily approach territory like we are now. aging players, and not yet having developed replacements.

I disagree withliterally every point you just made.

Posada has deteriorated to a TERRIBLE catcher. like, not just bad...but flat out awful. passed balls, wouldbnt be able to throw out prince fielder, and nobody cares whether they pitch to him or not so....
OBVIOUSLY he has no business in the lineup since he cant hit worth ****. how can you tell me transitioning to a DH is a tough transition? you dont even have to DO anything! just show up! AND he was making his case as to why the Yanks should keep him around after this season 'because he knows he can contribute' and everything. he knew what he was getting into...

Jeter's hitting is improving...and lets be honest. in our lineup, who are you going to have leadoff? Not Gardner, till he shows he can pull the average consistently. not granderson. too much power. way too hot. not swisher. same problem as gardner there....if Gardner can get his avg to like 280 within a few weeks, i think theyll push jeter back a spot again. right now, there are just no options.

And you can't really trade Hughes right now. he wouldnt be worth anything till he comes back and shows he can pitch at his normal velocity. and if pitching is our problem, why exactly are you trading away a young guy. that goes against everything we were just talking about.</P>

And you can't really trade Hughes right now. he wouldnt be worth anything till he comes back and shows he can pitch at his normal velocity. and if pitching is our problem, why exactly are you trading away a young guy. that goes against everything we were just talking about.</P>

He's saying that being a DH is difficult. Its not about ego. Its hard to hit and nothing else. You aren't in the flow of the game.</P>

Takes a certain mindset. You have to learn a completely different approach to the game than what you have always known since pee wee leagues.</P>

I met this chick who knew the manager of the bar i used to go to before it closed this winter....
she was totally a starf*cker. she told us that she pursued A-Rod in the 90s, and Josh Beckett while in florida, slept with them both, and both made her sign a waiver that said something along the lines, that she was suseptible to lawsuits of defamation of character if she made a big deal about it, or ever tried to sue them over...well, literally whatever. it basically makes your claims irelevant somehow.

Right now Jeter is batting .260 Not terrible, but not worthy of leading off. </p>

And to think we have another 2 years on his contract. Ughhhhh</p>

</p>

</p>

i didnt say he was hitting all-star worth stuff....but you also cant tell me that currently , anyone else is capable of that role.
about the DH....athletes need to get over themselves. Doesnt Jorge realize that there arent exactly players playing into their 40s?? what exactly does he expect from his team? to reward him for his awfulness???</p>

</p>

I would put <font size="4" color="#ff0000">Gardner i</font>n at the lead off spot. Better to go through the hard times now then down the road. </p>

Remember that porn star I was saying was on Howard Friday? Bibi Jones? She said she want's Gardner as her next MLB player.
</p>

ugh...</p>

I met this chick who knew the manager of the bar i used to go to before it closed this winter....
she was totally a starf*cker. she told us that she pursued A-Rod in the 90s, and Josh Beckett while in florida, slept with them both, and both made her sign a waiver that said something along the lines, that she was suseptible to lawsuits of defamation of character if she made a big deal about it, or ever tried to sue them over...well, literally whatever. it basically makes your claims irelevant somehow.
God knows how many athletes this slore banged....</p>Never thought of that, that's a business to go into. Print up some ironclad *uck a ho documents for sports players, celebrities, etc. That could be a great business to go into....Hmmmm, that could lead to running an escort service and ensuring the necessary paperwork is filed before consumation. I would be the "LT-The King of Pleasure for Stars" lmao.

but there's a scene where Charlie Hunnam's character is explaining to Elijah Wood's character the rivalry between the West Ham United Firm, and the Millwood firm, describing it as the fiercest rivalry in all of sports. Wood's character is from boston, and he says "like Yankees/Red Sox?!?"
And Hunnam laughs and he's like..."More like Israel/Palestine..."</P>

Moving Posada to dh was a mistake. </p>

It's not easy going to dh when you played catcher your whole mlb career. </p>

And can they stop leading Jeter off? If his name wasn't Derek Jeter he would be hitting 8th or 9th in the lineup. </p>

If I was the gm I would consider trading Hughes. Of course he is injured right now, but he might still have some trade value.</p>

</p>

</p>

I am the way i am because of Boston fans.

Displaced fans, meaning boston fans who come out of the woodwork after WS runs, go looking for trouble with Yankee fans. I guess it's becuase it's the only way they can show theirworth or something, in an out of market area? idk...

I think the whole "transition" argument is a copout for growing old, and your natural abilities deteriorating.
Like I said earlier...before the season, Posada said he wants to stay a Yankee and that he knows he can help contribute and help win. Well, unless he means help the opposing team win, I dont know what he has to be upset about lately, because he isnt producing. you dont produce, you suffer the consequences.

The positive sideof this performance, if any, is that Jorge might realize he's done, and he can retire a Yankee instead of saying "boohoo, the Yanks don't want me in 2012-13, I will go to this team isntead!"</P>

And can they stop leading Jeter off? If his name wasn't Derek Jeter he would be hitting 8th or 9th in the lineup. </P>

If I was the gm I would consider trading Hughes. Of course he is injured right now, but he might still have some trade value.</P>

The writing is on the wall, this team is getting old before our eyes. </P>

</P>

You underestimate how hard it is to be a dh in the majors. </P>

When you played catcher your whole career your so used to being part of the game always. Now he has to sit around and just hit. Not as easy as it may saound. That's why you can't just move anyone to dh. It just shows you how good edgar martinez, Paul Molitor were. </P>

Right now Jeter is batting .260 Not terrible, but not worthy of leading off. </P>

And to think we have another 2 years on his contract. Ughhhhh</P>

</P>

again.. its may

and when ur a catcher and ur knees are as **** as posadas is, DH is a blessing
</P>

As for his knees, being a dh is great. </P>

But Posada still thinks he can catch in the majors. And it has been evident he does not like the dh role. </P>

I can't even come up with a response to the Yankees this weekend. </p>

They are just an average team right now. </p>

Too many over priced players who best years are way behind them (Jeter, Posada)</p>

</p>

Jeter was actually hitting really well prior to this series.
Posada shoudlnt even be on the active roster.

Yet people ****ing crucified me when I said we should get rid of him. He's literally become of no use to us, whatsoever.</p>

</p>

The writing is on the wall, this team is getting old before our eyes. </p>

uhg

its may

relax
</p>

Have you seen any of the Yankee games this season?</p>

If you have you wouldn't be saying that. </p>

yea i seen one or two

and regardless if i did or didnt. Its May. We could of easily won last night or friday and nobody would o fbeen crying.

Its ****ing May... two weeks ago we were looking like the best team in baseball...

who cares. This is why I hate MLB.. by sept nobody evne really counts what happens in May. We will be fine, just like we always are
</p>

The excuse its May is not working. </p>

I have seen alot of the games this year. </p>

They still can out hit opponents, but there pitching will be there downfall. </p>

And it doesn't help when 2 of your long-time Yankees (Jeter, Posada) are easy outs for the opposition. </p>

The AL East is the best division in baseball right now. The Rays have a bunch of nobodies and are playing fantastic ball right now. </p>

The O's are not the same team they have been the past decade. </p>

The Jays can always hit, and the Sox still are the Sox. </p>

Alot of Yankee fans are hoping they can turn it on when it matters most, so far there play shows that may never happen. </p>

its not an excuse

if may really mattered, Toronto would of won the East last year

I gotta say this...The Red Sox sweep the Yanks and go over .500. Not a peep from Moorehead.

And the only guy I have ever heard show real, authentic contempt for fans of another team was Pizz. And he's a Yankee fan. Should I draw conclusions about the entire Yankee fan base from one guy?</p>

I am the way i am because of Boston fans.

Displaced fans, meaning boston fans who come out of the woodwork after WS runs, go looking for trouble with Yankee fans. I guess it's becuase it's the only way they can show theirworth or something, in an out of market area? idk...
Generally speaking, I don't care I guess about the fans. I only know like....idk, 3 boston fans around here? Most are fairweather fans, who dont really follow the team like most would. probably just do it to be different.</p>

</p>

You don't know **** about Red Sox fans. The Sox are a religion here. I don't know what Soxs fans are like where you live.</p>

Sox fans don't come out of the woodwork. Thats a load of crap. Sox fans have been packing that ball park and watching our team on NESN and beore that TV38 since i was a kid. (and thats a long time).</p>

And most of the fans your talking about a just a bunch of kids. They haven't paid the price of watching the 75 series and then the 86 series. They haven't dealt with Tony Perez and Bill Buckner. They haven't endured the ups and downs and appreciate what it takes to get to the top. </p>

Young people drive me nuts sometimes.</p>

i hate boston becuase of dealing with their red sox fans

i hate philly because of dealing with their eagles fans

Outside of their fans and accents, I actually enjoy both of those cities

Dont get me wrong I HATE the iggles n saawks, but that doesnt mean I have to hate their cities... How could I hate those places I LOVE Cheesesteaks and Im a huge Mick, LOL

And you can't really trade Hughes right now. he wouldnt be worth anything till he comes back and shows he can pitch at his normal velocity. and if pitching is our problem, why exactly are you trading away a young guy. that goes against everything we were just talking about.</p>

guess how many passed balls martin has already? 4. lol i told you it was because of ajs curve and jobas slider. it IS a tough transition to go from calling all the pitches to sitting on the bench overthinking your next at bat. and pappy correct me if im wrong but didnt ortiz have trouble moving to strictly a dh role? lol and you have an old catcher yourself thats never really been good behind the plate so what do you keep him for?
</p>

Some can make the transistion better than others. The problem with Posada is that he's just not quite a good enough hitter anymore to be a DH.</p> and everyone thought the same for ortiz last year.

I was suprised, at the time he could not hit for anything. But he is seeing the ball well, and making solid contact. Ever since he came to Boston, he has been a ****ing huge thorn to the Yankees pitching staff[:@] And now you got adrian gonzalez signed up long-term. I knew deep down the second you guys traded for him it would be a great move by the Sox orginazation. Guy can flat out play baseball. Great hitter, great fielder. Watched alot of him when he played for the Padres.</P>

but honestly Howard can just get every intimate detail of somebodies life...

I say it without hesitation: Howard is the best inverviewer ever. I put him up against anybody in any format
</p>

I never found Howard Stern entertaining.</p>

ehhh

the bits and the pornstars - it is old. Its been done. It was great at first cuz it was never don ebefore

the sybian sounds awesome, but nothing worse than bliue balls in the morning - especially with no visual

but i'm referring to Howard as the interviewer. Dude honestly - the best. Hands down. He pushes EVERY boundary. You NEVER get a softball interview.

and he doesn't do it in a way where he just comes off over the top. He really has mastered his craft

I never found Howard Stern entertaining.</p>I always think about his movie "private Parts" When fans were asked, why do you listen to Howard, they replied:"I want to hear what he says next" Granted these day's the early shock jock ways are not as shocking, but I try to listen to other stations in the am and I am always drawn back to Howard. Not many other things can make me laugh my *** off or drop my jaw in disbelief.

Opie and Anthony?

they are pretty funny and they have some of my favorite comedians on there all the time Louie CK, Bill Burr, Jim Norton, PAtrice O Neil

Moving Posada to dh was a mistake.

The writing is on the wall, this team is getting old before our eyes. </p>

</p>

And you can't really trade Hughes right now. he wouldnt be worth anything till he comes back and shows he can pitch at his normal velocity. and if pitching is our problem, why exactly are you trading away a young guy. that goes against everything we were just talking about.</p>

guess how many passed balls martin has already? 4. lol i told you it was because of ajs curve and jobas slider. it IS a tough transition to go from calling all the pitches to sitting on the bench overthinking your next at bat. and pappy correct me if im wrong but didnt ortiz have trouble moving to strictly a dh role? lol and you have an old catcher yourself thats never really been good behind the plate so what do you keep him for?
</p>

Some can make the transistion better than others. The problem with Posada is that he's just not quite a good enough hitter anymore to be a DH.</p>

and everyone thought the same for ortiz last year.
</p>

32 HR's, 102 RBI .270 BA</p>

Pretty good year.</p>and how did ortiz start the year? just as bad a posadas doing. actually posada has more hrs than ortiz did this time last year. hes adjusting. granted posada probably wont hit 30 hrs but hell get close.

yea he was just talking about how he was raped as a kid... sounds morbid standing alone

but honestly Howard can just get every intimate detail of somebodies life...

I say it without hesitation: Howard is the best inverviewer ever. I put him up against anybody in any format
</P>

you guys are obsessed lol...

I never found Howard Stern entertaining.</P>

I always think about his movie "private Parts" When fans were asked, why do you listen to Howard, they replied:"I want to hear what he says next" Granted these day's the early shock jock ways are not as shocking, but I try to listen to other stations in the am and I am always drawn back to Howard. Not many other things can make me laugh my *** off or drop my jaw in disbelief.</P>

i mean, i guess i can appreciate it, how he revolutionized his type of radio. I just couldnt care less about it i suppose? </P>Totally get that, it's not for everyone.

ehhh

the bits and the pornstars - it is old.

I am going to check into getting the online connection again. However, it never fails, when I go out to lunch at @12pm, they are usually repeating right where they left off as I walked into my building earlier that am. It's just days off, that I miss. Which there have not been that many for me so far this year. I am storing my vacation time like a squirrel's nuts..I will go on a rampage the last 6 month's of the year. LOL.

one piece of advice everyone always tells me though, is dont even worry about the room. youre never in it, just sleeping there basically, so dont waste your money. Oh, and like 90% of the time, it's hard to find anything with booze included. so thats out of pocket expense.

I would never say that about Jeter, and Tex...sure i was concerned...but i wasnt calling for his head, because he basically does that every year.

This year with Posada is different. he was bad last year....why would this year, at 40, be different??

I remember back in the E! day's that was cutting edge. I used to watch a young Brook Burke on Wild On and then Howard in the early 2000's. That sybian is pretty amazing, huh? How realistic do you think it is? It was pretty scary when the inventor and Raven did their demo on it. "Get the poison out Raven!"

i'd be angry

i totally changed my stance, i want plax back. Let him fill the void we're going to have when Manningham leaves after this year and to help fill in when Nicks or Smith go down for the usually 2-4 games

yea i didnt really think of that. someone can pay manningham what he...well, what he would deserve. but i dont think it will be here. So you could be right.
I also want Plax back. he did his time, paid for his mitakes, and i think he still has a few good seasons in him!</P>

I'd be disturbed if Plax went green. Mario's seems like he's got the better deep ball abilities. Smith is money for the quick underneath dumps that are a few feet off the ground. What's the deal with his shoulder injury, he hit complications?

na... Nicks is so much of a game breaker... we forget how much Eli really relies on Smith

if we can get Plax to replace Mario i think we'll be fine

Just got back from taking the little guy to go see Rio the movie with the wife. I couldn't stay home today-had to get out. Great movie, voice over's by George Lopez, Penelope Cruz and my favorite Tracey Morgan. The Monkey's cracked me up. [Y]
