[:(]He he, Whats up?
You doing the FF Thang this year?
I like the idea of knocking the bench spots down a bit..I also agree with MH on giving a few less points to the QB for TD's. However, i am kinda partial to the flex, but i could live with or without it..I guess that i am all in if you guys have a spot open...I must warn you now though, my team is pretty hungry this year....lol.

whats up man...
yea idk...would I like to play? of course...but...
Like I said the other day. I find it hard to justify spending money on something that's SUPPOSED to be fun, but isn't fun for me.

I'd understand if they dont let me vote based on how my decision is decided BY the vote. I know like it seems like im being unreasonable, but...I play in other fantasy leagues, so on prinicple, I just cant pay for a format i dont like.

Ugghh, LT's got the funky poopoo combined with other sorts of projectile emmission. Sorry if too much info. Too much fun at the Cars II Premiere last night. I think I overdid it with the melted butter on the popcorn. I don't eat that **** regularly, my sys was def not used to it.

Movie was freaking awesome! We gotta see it again. Interesting note on the new 3d animation. It's one thing to have things come off the screen at you. NOW, technology enables the opposite, things can come from behind you into the screen. Very Cool.

http://i.imgur.com/ukwhx.pngI was at a Dunkin Donuts in the vicinity of New London one time, when the cops left, I felt unsafe and left also.

As a matter of fact, I'm getting a cup of coffee Friday afternoon at this mobil station in Trumbull, CT. Right next to Starbucks, residential area(I thought?). Next thing I realize, I am at the register with Crack head Sally and her toothless boyfriend, a 50 cent wannabe with more tats and more boxers than jeans. As I am high tailing it out of there---enters the dude with psuedo died mohawk and tats from his forehead to neck.

I don't want to sound stuck up, but uhh, Scratch that place from the list.

We in Red Sox nation say thank you.

The Sox seem to be a team that wins in bunches and loses in (smaller) bunches. Everytime we have a losing streak, we have gone on an extended tear. Beckett coming back, Buchholz, Crawford etc..

Lots of injuries, but unlike last season, they are mostly very short term.

If I had my choice what city to burn down in a riot it would be Toronto, not beautiful Vancouver. Lol

I have to make my way to Vancouver at some point. I hear tremendous stories about the nightlife and attractions. Probably never make it there, but nice to consider anyway. Who knows?

Dice K and Lackey are garbage this year..

we may end up having a better pitching staff than you

and with the way Crawford was playing, it was a blessing that he got injured

Well.....not exactly...but yes... P for my last name...also have an Indians hat layin' around somewhere that has that script I that totally looks like a J lol

Could you where that Pizzlestick hat from now on. It seems to bring good luck to the Sox.

Thank you Mr Stick. You care.

I didn't wear it actually...so I guess we'll never know how it affects them.

Just the mention of it brought good furtune to God's team.

Speaking of God's team (Yankees) Even with all the injuries this team is still fighting.

At first I was concerned with all the injuries, all I had to do was look at the Sox last season. They could not over come all the injuries.

Crawford has been injured? I had no idea, he has been stinking it up all season I just thought he was nonexsitent the past couple of weeks.

7-year, $142 million, wise investment.

I am trying to determine which you are more passionate about? Yanks or NYG.

Btw-Is that a new avatar? Wasn't old one black and white? Not sure.

This is his first serious injury.

He broke his ankle a few years ago and came back faster then expected.

But this is a season ending injury, and depending on how he recovers a career threatening injury. He is 37 years old.

I have to think so as well. Me too-something about him is likeable and it makes it much easier to like when he's not tearing up our dbacks. lol He was extremely put together physically, very muscular. Just goes to show you, age, wear and tear...injury can't be avoided.

yea, but youre ******ed....
Our team average is .259 sooooooo what is it about Jeter exactly that's crippling the team when Tex, Swisher, Posada, and Martin are all batting with lower averages than him? You just dont make any sense.
I dont have any real problem with Nunez....except that he's batting 240 and he's probably the worst SS I've ever seen defensively. No really.....probably ever...

If your argument is that he shouldnt be hitting 1 or 2...fine, then just say that...lol. That's girardi, who we all know you dont like.
The guy is the face of this team, a hall of famer, and still after 14.5 years, outperforms most shortstops in baseball. I'm starting to think you just dont know jack **** about baseball, dezz...

first of all...literally none of the points matter.
Posada has 1 game and all of a sudden he's good again? **** off....
That may be the only time I've ever seen someone compliment Jeter defensively in the past 10 years, but that's not what I meant. SS is the thinnest position in baseball. There's a reason why guys like Reyes, and Tulowitzki are considered elite. Because statistically you can only compare them to players out of their position. THAT'S what I mean. You have to know who you are comparing Jeter to. and it's painfully obvious to me that you dont.

all 4 of those guys can hit for power and arent leading off. who gives a **** if hes the face of the team? give me a break. maybe he outperforms most shortstops on defense but thats it. i dont care if nunez is 5 for 50. hes been getting the hits when they matter which is more than i can say for jeter.

first of all...literally none of the points matter.

Why cant you just be happy your team is winning instead of saying you dont want Jeter back, and have the balls to say Nunez is better?
The dude IS PART TIME and has 9 errors to lead the team.. NINE! NINE ****ING ERRORS!!! Do you know how ****ing terrible that is?!?!? As a guy who JUST started playing everyday? And he's only had 7 hits since Jeter's been out, so I'm not exactly sure why youre high on him.

Just admit that you have no idea what youre talking about, and stick to your press coverage arguments or something.

pizz, just stop. posadas been very good lately, getting huge hits. youre acting worse than matt, WATCH THE GAMES. and like i said i could care less if nunez goes 5 for 50. hes hitting when it matters. we look like a totally different team right now, for the better.

I have to say Dez, I said the same thing about Papi early last season and all the guy has done since is hit the cover off the ball.

I learned that short term performance (or lack of) in baseball doesn't mean a guy is done. A little patience might be a nice prescription here.

Now don't go out and kill someone over this please.

....I can't stop because you make no sense. you are in love with Jorge Posada who has had a good career as a catcher. Yet your totally slandering one of the best players of the past 30 years because he's had a slow start? Waaat? Why?
i can see we are more versatile and theyre hitting much better. girardi doesnt have the balls to bat jeter where he belongs, 7, 8, or 9 and its going to end up hurting us. we look great lately.

yea, but youre ******ed....

You cannot say anything bad about Jeter until you say Posada is the weakest link of this team. out of the way. The bottom line is this. Terry Collins (perhaps quietly
beyond those that watch this Mets squad day in and ay out) has steered a
glorified canoe down a raging river of a first half and is threatening
to somehow emerge better-than-unscathed on the other side.

The
New York Mets are 39-39 today. And while .500 may not seem like much of
an accomplishment to Mets "outsiders," what Collins has done in
Flushing to date is undeniably admirable. One could make a very
legitimate argument that "amazing" is a more appropriate adjective for
the job he's done to date.

There
are certainly differing schools as to the relative importance of a
manager as it relates to team performance. And, yes, the players are
ultimately the ones who do the throwing, catching and hitting. But even
if you subscribe to the camp that weighs the influence of a manger more
lightly, there is still at least something to be made of a skipper's
ability to juggle talent, maintain a clubhouse in rocky times, deal with
the media and take on several other tasks - not to mention the in-game
decisions - all of which can impact how those players compete on the
diamond.

That
takes us back to Terry Collins...and why he deserves some serious
kudos. Collins has made a competitive .500 team out of a roster that is
talent-poor. There's no other way to put it. The pundits predicted that
the Mets would be challenged to maintain any relevancy in 2011 based on
their projected opening day roster. Well, that roster has taken hits
that have thrust platoon guys into pivotal cogs and AAA players into
starting roles.

Collins
has had to navigate a slew of injuries, a carnival-like atmosphere
around the Madoff scandal, an owner's remarks calling out the value of
the team's two biggest stars, prospects of a stripped-down budget and
trade rumors galore. He's done just that. He's navigated. He's avoided
chances to hit an iceberg and plummet into oblivion. He's managed to
convince the players who are here that they can compete and win. He's
patched together a bunch of scraps to produce something serviceable
enough on half the nights out to bring home a "W." It's a remarkable
feat. The Mets are 39-39.

For those less familiar with this Mets team, this is 39-39 with...

1.
A number one starter in Mike Pelfrey who has nowhere near the makeup of
a #1 and been consistent at nothing but being inconsistent (Big Pelf is
4-6 with a 4.78 ERA, how's that for a #1?)

i can see we are more versatile and theyre hitting much better. girardi doesnt have the balls to bat jeter where he belongs, 7, 8, or 9 and its going to end up hurting us. we look great lately.

yea, but youre ******ed....

You cannot say anything bad about Jeter until you say Posada is the weakest link of this team. And even then, youre wrong about Jeter, so...
all 4 of those guys can hit for power and arent leading off. who gives a **** if hes the face of the team? give me a break. maybe he outperforms most shortstops on defense but thats it. i dont care if nunez is 5 for 50. hes been getting the hits when they matter which is more than i can say for jeter.

This freak lives @ 2 miles from me, and got killed by her pet Black Mamba. Authorities brought 75 poisonous snakes to the Bronx Zoo from this ladies house. No word on the whereabouts of the Black Mamba:

The black mamba (Dendroaspis polylepis) is the longest venomous snake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venomous_snake)
in Africa, averaging around 2.5 meters (8.2ft), and sometimes growing
up to 4.3 meters (14ft). Its name is derived from the black colouration
inside the mouth; the actual colour of the skin varies, from dull
yellowish-green to a gun-metal grey. It is the fastest snake in the
world, capable of moving at 4.32 to 5.4 metres per second (16–20 km/h (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Km/h), 10–12 mph (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mph)).[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_mamba#cite_note-NG-0)

The venom of the black mamba consists mainly of neurotoxins with an LD50 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_lethal_dose) of 0.25mg/kg—0.32mg/kg.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_mamba#cite_note-7)
Its bite delivers about 100–120mg of venom on average; however, it can
deliver up to 400mg. The mortality rate from its bites can be nearly
100%, unless the snakebite victim is promptly treated with antivenom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antivenom).[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_mamba#cite_note-NG-0)
Black mamba bites can potentially kill a human within 20 minutes, but
death usually occurs after 30–60 minutes, sometimes taking up to three
hours. (The fatality rate depends on the health, size, age,
psychological state of the human, the penetration of one or both fangs
from the snake, amount of venom injected, location of the bite, and
proximity to major blood vessels.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_mamba#cite_note-NG-0)
The health of the snake and the interval since it last used its venom
mechanism is also important.) Presently, there is a polyvalent antivenom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antivenom) produced by SAIMR (South African Institute for Medical Research) to treat all black mamba bites from different localities.[9] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_mamba#cite_note-Davidson-8)

Kobe Bryant aka The Black Mamba?
lol-I saw that Kobe reference when I was searching.

I am sure it is easy for all of you to make jokes when the Mamba's not lost in your back yard. I'm gonna call SAIMR and see if I can get some anti-venom to wear around my neck. Angelina and I will have something in common.

Dude you have now confirmed your credibility in arguing anything. Melky is having a career year right now. He's likely going to double all his career high stats.
Not that it's important to this arguement, but it just shows how little you actually know about baseball.

Jays SWEEEEEEEP the Cardinals in St.Louis ...not to bad...oh and MM is amazing...been watching him since he was @ Michigan and if JR and co. have to make the choice between SS12 and Manningham I would take Mario all day !

There most likely will never have to be a decision.

You know my view on MM. The kid is on the verge of being great.

We are about to have the greatest one/two punch at WR that we have ever had.

NOTHING WILL EVER TOP CHRIS CALLOWAY AND IKE HILLIARD!

I liked those 2 players.

Little guys, big heart.

ye ame tooo

i loved Calloway, that was my boy blue

2010

Desean Jackson 47 catches 1056 yds 6 TD's

Mario Manningham 60 catches 944 yards 9 TD's

Just saying. This is a comparison of each teams deep threat.

Thanks for that stat. I completely did not think that MM had that many catches last year. I remember the td's toward the end, but he never really "shocked" me until the last two games.

I love Hakeem Nicks, but given his tendancy to get hurt and given the growth of Manningham, I honestly can't say if Nicks or Manningham is most valuable to the team.

I can honestly see MM going for something like 1300 yards and 10+ TD's next year. I think he's poised to be an elite WR.

I have to say, it's not about favorites for me. Well, I have some allegiances to older player's, but whoever get's it done is the one I want out there playing for us now.
apparently thats "frowned upon in this establishment!!"

Do you honestly believe that Nunez is a better option than Derek Jeter?

You are nuts!!!

I will say as a Sox fan, I hope Girardi is as foolish as you.

where did i say that? with jeter out of the line up this team is A LOT more flexible. people that dont watch the games can deny it all they want but we are tearing it up right now and not having jeter leadoff is the main reason. yea we were starting to tear it up right before jets got hurt. but now we are reeeally clicking.

Maybe when you wrote this earlier this morning......

. who gives a *** if hes the face of the team? give me a break. maybe he outperforms most shortstops on defense but thats it. i dont care if nunez is 5 for 50. hes been getting the hits when they matter which is more than i can say for jeter.

.........Dez, the Jeter hater.

all i said was nunez was hitting when it mattered. never said he was better. and id like to know why no redsox can ever do wrong, but giant players like eli are fair game? huuuuuhhhhh?

“Probably Plaxico,” Manning said when asked which one would be more
welcome in the Giants’ locker room. “He has probably fonder memories,
winning a Super Bowl, that catch for the touchdown in Super Bowl XLII.
Tiki just ended on a bad note. It’s really a shame, he should be
remembered as a great Giants running back and a terrific player —
because he was — but the way he went out he burned a few bridges. . . .
So I think Plaxico would probably be welcomed back a little quicker.” Eli feels the same as I do.

its funny how the media twists its bs. the question was who would be more welcome in the giants locker room, not who eli would rather have.

yea but in this exact scenario, we all know it's true. Plaxico never spoke out against his teammates, and im pretty sure he didnt have a problem with them. If anything I'm sure there it was just between him and coaches.
Yeah, in Plax's case I think your right. Plax would get into **** with the coaches. However, if I was one of his team mates in 2008 reg season---I would of been pissed that he ruined our chances for a SB repeat.

ah its different as a fans perspective vs a players. As much as everybody thinks we could probably would of own it all, there was no guarantees. All they remember is celebrating 07 with him
Prob correct from a player standpoint...but as a fan-I will always believe that the stars were in alignment for a consecutive championship. Sure nothing's guaranteed, that still kills me.

Eli Manning: Giants would rather have Plaxico than Tiki

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/06/27/eli-manning-giants-would-rather-have-plaxico-than-tiki/related

“Probably Plaxico,” Manning said when asked which one would be more welcome in the Giants’ locker room. “He has probably fonder memories, winning a Super Bowl, that catch for the touchdown in Super Bowl XLII. Tiki just ended on a bad note. It’s really a shame, he should be remembered as a great Giants running back and a terrific player — because he was — but the way he went out he burned a few bridges. . . . Jeter is a high class ambassador for the Major League Baseball. If I were Commissioner, I would want his face everywhere.

fixed that for you. =D
As an avid Yankee fan, you know much more about Derek the player...than I do.

The bat Babe Ruth (http://www.nypost.com/t/Babe_Ruth)used to whack his longest-ever home run is finishing its journey from the cell block to the auction block.

The Louisville Slugger that the Bambino used to swat a very unofficially estimated 620-foot whopper during a 1929 exhibition game at Westchester's Sing Sing prison is expected to pull as much as $100,000 at auction next month.

The hit was admired by 1,500 inmates who watched the ball sail over a 40-foot wall.

"Gee, I wish I was riding out of here on that one!" said an infielder on the prison team who had 10 years to go on a 25-year sentence.

They bring out Babe Ruth's widow and she makes some complimentary comments about Mantle, and Mickey says to his teammate....

"I love you man" was one of the best underrated movies of the past 5 years!!
Speaking of Namath, My Dad saw Joe Sunday at West. Conn. School's campus, they run a football camp every year there. My father has been visiting Joe for years here. They exchange gifts and stuff. Anyway-this year, Joe Namath added HOF 85(I think that's the year?) to the NY Jet's Lombardi Replica that he signed his name to the previous year. I'll get a pic for you guy's one day...Probably the closest replica you can get to a real lomabardi. The inscription is a big deal because Joe hardly ever sign's inscriptions-he does not believe in individual merit, say's that football is a "team" sport. He outright refused to sign "mvp".

We also have the 86 NYG Lombardi and my main Man, LT signed her up.

they seem to have shonne greene ranked fairly high....
is ldt gone? is greene an every down back now or something?
I thought the same thing about J Charles....I know LT is not going anywhere. I would not take Shonne or Charles.

theres a possibility that colon could be back for the subway series. he had a great rehab start. yanks want to give hughes 2 more minor league starts. cashman was asked if hughes would be going to the pen he responded "starter".
