i like gruden. i dont know why people dont. he brings lots of knowledge, excitement, and does a great job being optimistic for both teams. and i get the feeling he really likes the giants.
</p>

I hate him because he cant make it through a broadcast without mentioning the raiders, the bucs, and specifically Rich Gannon.
In fact, last night, we heard all of those things, and even Al Davis thanks to Terelle Pryors phone interview.
<u>He even mentioned his backup RBs names who I dont even know</u>.....this ****in guy!!</p>actually he made a great point about bj getting more snaps. he said its easy for tc to say that this year but you have to go with your hot hand and thats when he brought up his backup not getting as many snaps as he wanted.

personally i want bj fresh if we make the playoffs. he will kill people.

i say we stick to our formula wtih the running game from last year. Running game wasn't the issue, besides the fumbling

MattMeyerBud
08-23-2011, 10:52 AM
and everybody is saying he leads in tackles - its not that good of a stat for our defense
</p>

that stat specifically is awful in my opinion. If your CB is your leading tackler, youre giving up too many plays, and so is he most likely.</p>

exactly

BJ deserves at least 200 carries, if not more. The 2nd half of last season, and his performance in the preseason, tell me he's in full-on-beast mode!! lol</p>

200 carries including playoffs

no point in burning him out. he can't handle a huge load like that - its been proven

130 carries is a ****ing waste. did you see what he did with 140 last year?

No....our offense has to DECIMATE teams for us to win. We DONT rely on our defense for anything or we miss the playoffs again. completely relentless blowouts, or nothing. That's how we win this year.once the defense sees they have to outperform the offense, maybe then we can salvage a 2nd half of a season defensively. It's hard to trust the D after the past 3 seasons.</P>

again, besides fumbles our running back production was great. We're fine with how things ar egoing. Jacobs is not as effective when he has a ton of carries

So Earthquakes are pretty ****ing awesome...I wouldn't mind one of those occasionally just to spice up the day....apparently it was a 5.8 that's pretty decent size for around here.
</P>

I've never felt an earthquake before. I guess it would be an experience, but I'm also glad I've never had to be a part of a disaster &gt;.&lt;</P>

yeah till buildings start falling down..lol.....yesssir. ny buildings arent built on shock springs like in cali.

There is a pretty major fault that runs up this coast, it doesn't go often but it's not much smaller then the one in cali, generally newer buildings in this area do take that into account and do put some earthquake preventions measures into place.

ugh....I hate how our paper says "VA quake rattles Dutchess county!"

There is litterally nothing wrong here. only 1 kid in my branch claims to have felt anything, but it's also the same kid who walks around the branch telling everyone to roll their windows up when he THINKS it's going to rain....

So instead of showing any concern about any damage in Virginia...people are like....yea I felt it! it was crazy!! did you feel it?? You didnt?!?! How did you not!?

I find that very unlikely the Giants trade for Finnegan.</P>

If Reese were willing to trade a draft pick, then the titans may listen. </P>

a headcase guy in his last year - may be worth a shot
</P>

I don't think he is on the trading block. </P>

and he gave a completely different story of what happened when he shot him self.

HE said he was wearing jeans and walking upt he stairs

I love how I just watch this show now just to see it end lol....just wanna put the dying dog to sleep! I wonder with the recent addition of Game of Thrones, if HBO will start getting some kick *** shows back on the air!! That would be cool.

Well, you figure it's about 5-10 minutes a round so best case scenario you make 10-12 picks. I don't know how far you have to drive for your bowling either though so....

nah man...I'd probably move south of here...cost of living is significantly cheaper. if I keep my pay somwhere in the same range, I could afford a nice house, and not bull**** rent like here.
plus, I think a longer warm season would be good lol.</P>

depends where obviously....but, when I lived in the city of poughkeepsie like 7 years ago, my roommates and I paid $1100 a month.
Even "ghetto" areas like that are not exactly affordable.
City...forget about it...youre lucky to find **** under 2k down there</P>

yea, and with the cost of homes down south, I can afford a mortgage on a nice house for sure. although I'd probably want to move with someone to split it, plus going WITH someone makes the transition from home easier.</P>

They lose 2 out of 3 to a lousy team at home?</P>

pitchings in a slump. hitting/ scoring is very consistent, setting records, you know doing what yankees do.
</P>

Your pitching isn't in a slump. Your pitching stinks.</P>

Big difference.</P>

</P>

You want to talk about Pitching?</P>

After Beckett, Lackey and Lester who do you have? Erik Bedard? oh wait Andrew Miller lol</P>

And please don't try and convince me Tim Wakefield is going to help. </P>

</P>

All we need is three. Yes we miss Buchhultz, but our bullpen is absolutely lights out.</P>

78-40 since starting 2-10.</P>

Best record in baseball by a mile since week 2.</P>

Its another Sox year. All the crybaby antics about asterisks and PED's won't change it.</P>

It the ranting of losers. I don't include you of course but the Dez/Pizz wing of the party are a different matter.</P>

this day needs to end so I can go prep for this hurricane....</P>

by prep for hurricane, I mean go take a nap, do laundry, and find something to do for the night....

what's a hurricane??</P>

I know the national weather service does alot of predicting and many times it does not pan out, but we need to take advantage of the early warning that we got on this one. Time is our ally for now. Hopefully when it hits us it will be far less than what's expected, if not, do everything you can now to prepare and protect your loved ones. Dezz, Pizz, MH-pm's &amp; anyone else. If anyone needs any help this weekend......Feel free to call, I'll do whatever I'm capable of depending on the condition of my own house/neighborhood. </P>

I got one chapter resolved, or so I pray for now. Now I need to go into my own emergency preparation mode. Leaving now for back-up generator gasoline, grubs, etc. Irene is one woman that you don't won't to catch you with your pants down.</P>

</P>

Funny actually.</P>

Several years ago, I started a thread titled. "Joba...Big mistake"</P>

I started it it the day they announced that Joba was going to be a starter. I got a week long argument by many Yankee fans, the loudest of which was MMB. My argument was that they should put him in the 8th inning and leave him there. Matt's argument that set up guys aren't that important. You and I know how wrong he was. Daniel Bard may be the most important guy in our bullpen.</P>

The organization tried too hard to change guys based on the immediate need, and not their natural ability.</P>

Honestly, they ruined a kid who could have been an all time great closer. Looked like another "Mad Hungarian".</P>

Giants FS Antrel Rolle says he'll be the team's nickel cornerback this season.</p>

It's a slight boost to his IDP value. Rolle will
play safety on early downs and kick inside to the slot on passing downs,
playing closer to the line of scrimmage. Opposing offensive
coordinators seem likely to target Rolle heavily inside. He's stiff in
the hips and will struggle with quicker, smaller receivers.

Man, Ct is in shambles from Irene. I did not loose power for a second in NY at my home. I work in Ct. I was checking out the Ct Light and Power and united illuminating outage maps last night....I knew it was going to be bad. Sometimes management sucks, like today--I called my staff and told them to remain home because of no power. The GM and I rigged up the generator and I am functional now-less email and voicemail. I have outgoing/incoming phone, server acess, all my software. Now to do all the work that I do not regularly do. argggh....and to think I could of been at another Monday nite game tonite. ****!

I lost power over saturday night for a few hours, but I was asleep so...
and then we randomly lost cable/internet at like 7pm last night, till early this morning....that was odd considering all the weather was fine after 1pm &gt;.&lt;
our only problem locally was we had alot of rainy weather prior so the ground was saturated. flooding happened quit easily along the wappingers creek. we took the jeep out to see where was worse yesterday. One small bridge had "white water rapids" going over the guard rails! it was intense!! needless to say, that part of the road was closed lol</P>

He will?</P>

He'll still have 2 years and $30+MM left on his contract.</P>

Where is he going?</P>

And this is Crawford's first season. We don't know yet what the outcome will be. But we all know what will probably happen.</P>

Once he gets his first ring this year, he'll relax and go back to being a solid player. He's not a head case like Burnett.</P>
