<u>What is it you would like me to say?</u> My team is playing at its lowest level in decades.</p>

We have 2 major league quality starters. Or BP is over exyended as a product. We are hitting when we're up by 8 runs but can't get a base hit when we're close.</p>

Its a dark time for Sox fans. This team reminds me of the Giants at the end of 09. I'm not sure if there is a team we can beat. And quite honestly, I'm not sure that my football team is in much of a better place.</p>

But you may have noticed that when the Yanks got beat by Texas last season, I didn't make a single post about it.<u> I like to talk smack, but I never kick a guy when he's down. I can't go out and play for them. But thats just me.</u></p>

so, all homerism, and hating aside, do you guys think Granderson is the favorite for AL mvp?

The person I think would give him a run for his money is Verlander. Verlander, despite in my opinion being the unanimous decision for Cy Young, is the sole reason the Tigers are where they are. Hard to argue really.

I could say the same thing about Granderson, which is why I brought that up.

His power numbers despite batting 2nd in the lineup, AND Jeter having a terrible first half....I mean it's pretty incredible. Tex had a somewhat slower year, and A-Rod spent alot of time on the DL...
Cano, while his average is great, didn't have his 2010 production.
Granderson leads the best team in the AL in EVERY batting statistic except average. (Idk if you consider SBs batting stats, but even tho Gardner has more, 24 SBs is a good number for a guy with 41 HRs lol)

Thoughts?</P>

I had this discussion with a friend of mine at work. </P>

We both came to an agreement that Granderson <U>deserves</U> the MVP. </P>

He has been consistent all season long, has hit for average and power. </P>

Plays a gold glove centerfield. </P>

Sadly I feel the voters will veer away from Granderson for the reason he plays for a team that has a great lineup. </P>

yes, but the team would not be in the position they are without him....
we've had teams around our MVPs before. A-Rod won 2 of them here.</P>

Thoughts?</p>homerism aside, i truly think granderson IS why we are in first. he literally dragged this team by the ear in late may and june when nobody was hitting and starting pitching was trying to find its groove. knocked in 3 more runs last night. first cf since mantle to have over a 100 runs and 100 rbis in a season. his average is a bit low but its misleading. and him and gardner both deserve gold gloves.
i dont think starting pitchers should win mvps. verlanders the truth but i think mvps should be for everyday players.

The downfall of our team will not come from injuries, it won't come from the QB, it won't come from special teams.</P>

It will come from a bad and old thinking coaching staff.</P>

Mr. Mara should have pulled the trigger after the 09 season with our team laying down and the HC defending them. As Matt and I said at the time.</P>

All we are doing is postponing the inevidable. This staff is not the future of the New York Giants.</P>

I could agree with that pretty easily. We been calling for Gilbride's head since 08 anyway....so yea absolutely. TC, althought a pretty good coach, he's lost this team, he's just TOO old school I think at this point.
This team, (while healthy specifically) has the talent to be a Superbowl contender every year....so I don't think our problem is player talent right now either.</P>

i like tc, i like his style, i like the discipline, but iv said before he is loyal to a fault. maybe it is time to bring in new blood, but i wouldnt be opposed to keeping tc and getting rid of gilbride and fewell.
regardless, right now we look flat, offense and defense. things arent clicking. but i blame reese for the defense, 100%. reese hasnt made many mistakes but he **** the bed on this one. how can you promote and bring in guys like sheridan and fewell when spags schemes worked so well? and especially after 09?
gilbrides hot and cold. has been since hes been here and his stubbornness kills us at times.

maybe it is time to clean house.

Dezzz, I see your point to a certain extent, but....it's no coincidence that we've replaced Spags twice already and have noticed no great improvement, and have collapsed every year. Sure Fewell MIGHT not be working out, but instead of constantly replcing a DC, we just need to wipe the slate clean.</P>

I'm calling out every coach on the team but specifically the HC since he is responsible for his staff. The league has passed us by. They innovate..we don't.</P>

And don't give me that discipline nonsense. Yes, he's very good at developing his rep as a "disciplinarian". But our team has always played very undisciplined football. Bad tackling, missed assignments in the secondary, D Ends (Osi) that fail to honor their lanes, QB's who throw left handed in the endzone into triple coverage etc......</P>

Results count. The Head Coach of a team that is constantly making mental mistakes can't be an effective disciplinarian by definition.</P>

This staff is not the future of the New York Giants.</P>

are you calling out tc? or tc gillbride and fewell?

i like tc, i like his style, i like the discipline, but iv said before he is loyal to a fault. maybe it is time to bring in new blood, but i wouldnt be opposed to keeping tc and getting rid of gilbride and fewell.
regardless, right now we look flat, offense and defense. things arent clicking. but i blame reese for the defense, 100%. reese hasnt made many mistakes but he **** the bed on this one. how can you promote and bring in guys like sheridan and fewell when spags schemes worked so well? and especially after 09?
gilbrides hot and cold. has been since hes been here and his stubbornness kills us at times.

maybe it is time to clean house.
</P>

</P>

Not only that Pizz, but don't forget he didn't want to fire Tim Lewis and he had to be threatened with his job to fire Sheridan. He's loyal to a fault. He's loyal to the detriment of our team.</P>

I'm calling out every coach on the team but specifically the HC since he is responsible for his staff. The league has passed us by. They innovate..we don't.</p>

And don't give me that discipline nonsense. Yes, he's very good at developing his rep as a "disciplinarian". But our team has <u>always played very undisciplined football.</u> Bad tackling, missed assignments in the secondary, D Ends (Osi) that fail to honor their lanes, QB's who throw left handed in the endzone into triple coverage etc......</p>

Results count. The Head Coach of a team that is constantly making mental mistakes can't be an effective disciplinarian by definition.</p>i dont agree with that at all, and i dont think you really do either. giants looked pretty disciplined in 05, 07, and 08.
lately, yes absolutely no discipline, but the current schemes also arent working. toms not calling the plays, but the buck stop with him.

i also dont think the league passed us by but we REALLY do need to innovate more on offense.

whats your take on the stokely signing? gilbride made a big stink that he thought we already had enough talent and wanted to utilize what we have. thats showing SOME innovated thinking but the front office thought otherwise, thus supporting your anti innovation theory.

if we we dont make the playoffs again, as much as i like and respect tc, im all for cleaning house

i dont think we can rule the playoffs out yet... its week 2 people. lets re-evaluate in a few weeks. so many other teams are just as injured as us that if we get hot and gel at the right time we may be ok... if not tho i agree with dez, i think this year more then ever the giants will have to start making some major changes.</P>

But thats just me.</u></p>

stop with the dramatics, were breaking balls.

I'm rooting for whatever helps my team. So why on earth would I not root for whoever is playing the Rays? Just as you would root for the Sox if the situation was reversed.</p>

Its a dumb question. And I try to stay clear of those.</p>ironically, this day in history.

so, all homerism, and hating aside, do you guys think Granderson is the favorite for AL mvp?

Granderson leads the best team in the AL in EVERY batting statistic except average. (Idk if you consider SBs batting stats, but even tho Gardner has more, 24 SBs is a good number for a guy with 41 HRs lol)

Thoughts?</P>

</P>

Sounds like a typical Blue Jay season. </P>

i dont look so much to the position rather than the percentage.. just over 500 for a team rebuilding in the AL east.. i think anyone not crazy would say thats fantastic</P>

What was I thinking, you're right. It is fantastic that your team is in 4th place. </P>thanks. so what am i in for losing this bet to you.. which btw was complete BS

Someone better be on the phone to Randy Moss...
</P>

I'm all about it, as I said a few weeks ago.

I dont care about people saying he destroys locker rooms. he can do no more damage than our coaching, and injuries do to our locker room.

HOWEVER, last week Randy said "I'm done....for real"</P>

</P>

i think that was a media thing cause it was the pats. i think for the right team he would come back. he wants to be a winner... however would he be a winner on the giants? lol</P>

so, all homerism, and hating aside, do you guys think Granderson is the favorite for AL mvp?

The person I think would give him a run for his money is Verlander. Verlander, despite in my opinion being the unanimous decision for Cy Young, is the sole reason the Tigers are where they are. Hard to argue really.

I could say the same thing about Granderson, which is why I brought that up.

His power numbers despite batting 2nd in the lineup, AND Jeter having a terrible first half....I mean it's pretty incredible. Tex had a somewhat slower year, and A-Rod spent alot of time on the DL...

We noted this morning that Giants safety Antrel Rolle (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3149/antrel-rolle) said he didn’t want to hear any excuses coming out of Philadelphia when the Giants put it on the Eagles on Sunday (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/21/giants-rolle-i-dont-want-any-excuses-when-we-put-it-on-the-eagles/related/). When those comments got back to Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5169/jeremy-maclin), he had an interesting response.</p>

“He’s just talking,” Maclin said of Rolle, via CSNPhilly.com. “A lot of times when people talk, they’re either insecure or scared (http://www.csnphilly.com/blog/eagles-talk/post/Maclin-addresses-Rolles-comments?blockID=565550&amp;feedID=3041). You guys choose.”</p>

Maclin said he thinks his teammates will brush Rolle’s comments off.</p>

“I don’t know what he’s trying to do but he’s not going to
intimidate, not going to scare nobody in this locker room,” Maclin said.</p>

We’re enjoying this little back-and-forth between the two NFC East
rivals. Now we’ll hope they give us an enjoyable game on Sunday.</p>

I'm starting to question the turf I remember back when they we installing the new turf there was talk that it wasn't very player friendly...i forget what team has /had the sameand there was ahigh injury rate...Imo turf in general is non skid surface when you plant your foot in that stuff its not going to slide ... Some body hits your planted foot and your done.. whatever.....</P>

AndI have never seen this team in such disarray..to the point that I expect nothing any more .....even some of the bad teams we had in the 60/70 had heart andwere fighters...I don't see it in this team maybeto many passive personalities or something.....something is way off.....these young owners are not W.Mara either...house cleaning is an understatement at this point ImoI would have dumped TC and companyafter the Eagles loss in 08....call me a hater but I don't like him.....they have wasted three years of this teamstalent...And they are looking stupid all over the place ....God if you are going to fake an injury put it on one man instead of dropping likeflies....I love this team and all ways will, players win the games thecoaches are supposed to help them...safe football sucks when all else fails blitz!!!!everybody!</P>

sorry guys...now lets kill the ****ing eagles this weekend and I hope Vick sticks in nose in there the dog killing mother ****er....I want to see some mad Giants !!!!one of these coaches needs to get these guys fired up</P>

It happens LT. I lost my 1st round pick (Frank Gore) and Dallas Clark last year. You have to be smart and pick up guys who can fill the gaps. I picked up Legarrent Blount after Gore went down and he was awesome. If you have an abundance of one position, find someone who needs something and make a deal.</P>

well when your speaking on how a secondary played pass defense specifically, i thin kpassing yardage is a viable point to make. The 4 TDs were basically all off of defensive turnovers and rushing the ball down their throats. The passing game really never got going. ITs not more of a mistake to try and use throwing TDs vs throwing yards to make this point

again, this is not a debate about Ryans play. We are talking about how productive the EAgles secondary was. But Yes Ryan did put together that one nice drive. Im pretty sure the other one had more to do with the 61 yard run on first down after the penalty on Turner. Ryan threw for 13 yards on that lead taking drive

Not to amp up for disappointment or anything but....

Philly gave up FOUR....4 ****ing passing TDs last week!

Where's this stud secondary?

Our run game + their ****ty d-line.....</P>

our passing game just needs to show up to work, and this isn't an unreasonable expectation.

our pass rush needs to be A+ though for this to work.</P>

not for nothing, Ryan threw for under 200 yqards. It was just goalline stuff.

</P>

You love those passing yardage totals. </P>

As is almost always the case, last week QB's who threw for more than 300 yards had a losing record.</P>

well when your speaking on how a secondary played pass defense specifically, i thin kpassing yardage is a viable point to make. The 4 TDs were basically all off of defensive turnovers and rushing the ball down their throats. The passing game really never got going. ITs not more of a mistake to try and use throwing TDs vs throwing yards to make this point
</P>

Didn't he engineer 2, 80 yard drives in crunch time?</P>

<U>You used to be impressed with Eli when he used to do that, despite his passing totals. </U></P>

yea i think he did that at the end of the 2nd quarter last week troll. 7 for 7 with a +20 yard td
</P>

Evidentally Matt is not impressed with that anymore.</P>

when your fixated on trying to make EVERYTHING about Eli, its annoying.

Infact we weren't even TALKING about QBs really, we were talking about the performance of Eagles secondary. All of a sudden it turns into Matt Ryan vs Eli. YOu are defining troll, whether you want to admit it or not. Stop crying your insulted when its all you've been doing and getting progressively worse

If you wnat to dissecxt those two drives, i completely agree he dominated the first one. The second one was like a 5 or 6 play drive in which 3 or4 were runs which totaled like 75 yards. If Eli did that I wouldn't say he dominated it

you need to go reread everything i said. I said you'v ebecome obsessive over Eli - i didn't say you knocked him. Pizz made the point about the eagles coverage and said that they gave up 4 TDs, i said yea but they also gave up under 200 yards. They didn't have nearly as bad of a day as would of been made to seem

please go and bump where I knocked Ryan? By stating his facts?

And no, again, I gave Ryan praise for the first drive nad not for the second drive. If bradshaw busts a 65 yard run, i wouldn't say Eli really stepped up on that drive.

Since the defense was tipped off it was clearly not Eli's fault. And I said that when that fact came out.</P>

Having said that I am dissappointed in Eli's play in general. I was fine with him in 08 and most of 09. Actually up until the point where you jinxed him.</P>

He has been too careless with the ball and the coaching staff has (it seems to me) been unwilling to hold him accountable. They are great at yelling at Matt Dodge or Victor Cruz but when the QB makes rookie mistakes he gets a pass. Why do you think that is? Do they think he can't handle it? I don't know. Ask Phil Simms if he was treated like that by Bill Parcells.</P>

I don't know if you guys realize howour team is teatering right now. This could be a disaster year. It could also turn around but the signs aren't good right now.</P>

what do you always say to me? Reading comprehension?

Its actually disturbing how you relaly do try and turn EVERYTHING into an Eli debate - hence why you define troll
</p>

1. Clearly I misinterpreted the convo. So thats on me.</p>

2. I'm sick of being called a friggin troll. Its bull****. I say what I think. You can disagree if you want. But make your case instead of the name calling.</p>

Even Pizz doesn't resort to that crap. And he hates me.</p>

honestly i don't hate you and im informing you of how your being a troll. Honestly, ANYTHING we've been talking about the past month or so you've been turning into an Eli contest. Its annoying to the point that we can't even have a talk about ANOTHER GAME without you doing it.

And honestly, as objective as you can be, your not anymore its like you've lost your reason. The fact that you really refuse to recognize the pick in the Washington game was kind of the main evidence of how far you've gone down this road of Eli.

Its annoying that the first thing i talk about this morning I have to get into an eli debate with you.
</p>

</p>

and thats what im referring to exactly. The defense being tipped off has nothing to do wtih it. Again, like EVERY SINGLE QB, Coach, WR has gone on to say - you make that throw and you have t orely on your lineman to complete that block in time.

Again - now your just being stupid. Glad all of a sudden you know how the staff gets on the QB.

Regardless how our team is doing, has nothing to do with how you've been lately. We've had alot more issues at FBack, OLine, Receivers, and SEcondary than we have at QB. But all you revert to is QB. Its sad actually

You are looking at this in the wrong way. The problems aren't position to position. Its a general decline of a football team.</P>

Lets review.</P>

-We spend years drafting press corners and play that kind of system, then we hire a new DC who plays almost exclusively cover 2. We have a bunch of press corners don't play well in this system. And has anyone noticed how lost KP looks in this system? He's constantly late to pick up WR's released by the corners.</P>

-We have a stubborn HC and OC who refuse to change our system in any way. We have some talented young players on offense who may not be ready to play every play, but have unique athletic talent to contribute in specific packages. What does our OC do? Sits them on the bench until everyone else ahead of them on the depth chart gets hurt.</P>

-We have a QB who has been in the league for 8 years and still makes head scratching rookie mistakes. Thats on both the player and the coaching staff. He's not athletic so he MUST excel in other aspects of the position. he must place a higher priority on ball protection.</P>

-We lack speed on this team. Our team is slow on both sides of the ball and as I said the fastest guys are languishing on the bench.</P>

-Our competitors in our division are innovative. We are stuck in the past and have shown no impulse to change.</P>

- We are possibly in the midst of a lost season. Our entire staff will probably be fired at season's end and we might have to completely rebuild with a new coach. That should have happened after the 09 season.</P>

- Our road uniforms are God awful and are an embarrassment to the league.</P>

And don't get me going on the Sox.</P>

Well i disagree. I dont think the sky is falling, except in the secondary. Ross has completely been garbage. Dude ****in over celebrates when he makes a halfway decent play as well. But i do think our offense will be fine. We are legit against the run amd can hit the qb. Hopfully coe can be a surprise for us. After rewatching alot of the skins game we played alot more man tha. Yes, I like where your head is at and completely agree. I just hope the Titans keep winning games so they continue to try hard. actually - i would also be concerned about Fullback

Hynoski and Pascoe have NOT looked good at all. They get blown up in the backfield so much that our backs have to cut it up even though there are holes
</p>

You are looking at this in the wrong way. The problems aren't position to position. Its a general decline of a football team.</p>

Lets review.</p>

-<u>We spend years drafting press corners and play that kind of system, then we hire a new DC who plays almost exclusively cover 2. We have a bunch of press corners don't play well in this system. And has anyone noticed how lost KP looks in this system? He's constantly late to pick up WR's released by the corners.</u></p>

Morehead is dark....very dark.</p>everyone knows how i feel about the secondary by now, but i like to add not only did we draft high presscorners but linemen who excel in attacking the qb, they feed off eachother in this system, imo anyway. when a qb is being blitzed or has less then 4-5 to pass the ball and sees a wr is being pressed and has a man on him, chances are high hell look elsewhere, and when the qb sees the other wr is also in man, CRUNCH! sacked or pressured. thats why spags system is so effective, thats why rex ryans system is so effective. espn said ryans corners play man 95% of the time! granted he runs a 3-4 but we can get just as much pressure in our 4-3.
and kenny..........has been a ghost, i thought fewell said he was holding him back last year? disappointing to say the least

id like to see some of rookies contribute also, derell, jj. both speed guys on offense which we lack. we have manningham. thats about it. ab doesnt have that break away speed as good as he is.

i agree with everything else except i think we did try and be innovated when reese hired perry, thinking he was great against the pass, which in the this division, this league, we need. but he was wrong. very wrong. but that doesnt mean we should stop trying.

Once the line gets it together I expect the offense to be another top producing offense. With that, being good against the run, and being able to get to the QB - we should be fine. But we do need a confidence game and in Philly would be a great start

na thats just my prediction on him

any RB that holds out all of camp then gets his deal typically gets banged up. Whether its serious as an ACL or a lingering issue like a hammy, groin, or quad. It just always happens.

Titans aren't throwing CJ hard and it may be a while before they do let him work horse, which will prob help his chances of not getting hurt, but will also hurt his numbers

Right now I think our ceiling is 9-7. So I guess its possible that we could compete for the division if everybody knocks each other off. But our floor is really, really low. QB: Ryan
RB: McFadden
RB: Hightower
WR: Calvin
WR: Marshall
WR: Lance Moore/Anthony Armstrong
TE: Greisham/Chandler/Mercedes
Flex: Jahvid BEst

Eli has many positive attributes. He works hard. He's improved him accuracy. He's understands defenses, and he has shown a clutch streak.</P>

But he is also flawed. And some of those flaws are correctable and haven't been corrected after 8 years. I am hugely frustrated by that. And I was actually set of several months ago when a poster said something like "I'm OK with Eli throwing a lot of picks as long as he's throwing a lot of TDs and yards" That was the genesis of my criticism of Eli and fans who believe that. If you look at the one stretch of games that has defined him, the 4 playoff wins, we see that the exact opposite was true. his greatest accomplishment was a product of very ordinary yards and TD totals, but a great record of ball protection. So when a guy says "he's a gunslinger and I'm OK with that" it makes no sense and I am compelled to challenge. His record shows the opposite.</P>

So I think Eli is a good QB. But I am irritated by those who think he's a great QB or a guy on the A train to the HOF. Thats just silliness. So I get irritated by that. And react accordingly.</P>

Well I have 2, #1 WR's on prolific passing teams in VJax and Stevie. The 3rd spot is a bit more iffy but one of my guys should take off. And I'm hoping for McGahee to completely take over the starting spot in Denver.</P>

But to Matt's point about the QB's. Its important to have a guy who can produce week in and week out. I know Rivers will. Maybe more than any other QB. he should always give me consistently solid numbers.</P>

I looked at your team just a few minutes ago. It might be the best team out there.
You were lucky to get Phillip. LT took Brees one pick ahead of me so I guess it's a good thing that happened.

I really don't think I have the best team. I think B and Matt ( Thanks to Daven ) have the best teams. I am very happy with my team however and if Beanie keeps it up I will be golden. He is my wildcard. I hate that Felix is garbage but he could pick it up later...Still feel like I had to take him there however.

Your team is really good to MH but your WR's are hurtin...You better hope that Decker kid kills it.
</p>

<font color="#0000FF">he should always give me consistently solid numbers.</font></p>
No doubt about that...Having V Jack is great for you to. Moreno didn't practice and Foster isn't playing. You are going to have a tough time deciding which of your 3 RB's to play in 1 spot.

Yeah, they gave Nicks credit for a 23 yard pass that was ruled Pass Interference. Some people have got to be pissed ( like you ) and others happy. Imagine you had Nicks and lost by 1. Well you won!!! If your league commish is cool about it.

We may need to specify rules in this case if it happens in our league...Some leagues don't change it I guess but I am for applying the points and changing records if it happens.

sooo i made a move in this league I am in and i am on the fence about it. Curious as to what u guys think

We have to start 1 QB, 2RB, 3 WR, 1 FLex, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DE

So my squad that i inherited (i did not draft) was:

QB: Ryan
RB: McFadden
RB: Hightower
WR: Calvin
WR: Marshall
WR: Lance Moore/Anthony Armstrong
TE: Greisham/Chandler/Mercedes
Flex: Jahvid BEst

i traded Best, Marshall, and Armstrong 4 Benson, Lloyd, and Plax

what do u think?

You got Daven'd

You gave up the 2 best players and got a hurt WR, a ****ty WR and a good RB.

Best will finish with more points than Benson for sure and Marshall will finish with more than both of them combined probably. Why do you like Plax so much?

ur a benson hater though. I think Benson will be just as good as Best and Lloyd is fine. I feel like Lloyd can come close enough to Marshall from point on and I got plax for free

Plax is still getting double teamed alll game. He is still a force out there. Saftey over the top on him ALL game last week. IT just tells me something about him when defenses are playing him like that. I think Banana Boy will use him alot this year

i lost by .3 and had a 3 point lead with Sims Walker vs Jacobs

not only did i lose by Jacons getting garbage yardage at the end of the game, but there was also a 20 yard catch called back by an offensive holding on the Rams last drive. And then oh year - on 4th down they punted

na im not on the Best bandwagon at all. I think he'll slow down alot. I felt like I was selling high. Benson is legit and will get 30 touches a game.

I'll DEF take the over on those PLax stats (not to be confused with the under im taking vs dezz with Beckums stats)

and 6 grabs for 90 yards for Lloyd in the opener. Dont think that is a bad sign. Plus I expect the Broncos to be playing from behind ALOT this season. Im loving it the more im thinkin about it

Best is the Marshall Fault of that offense. Or at least will be. Not as good as Faulk obviously, but fills that roll.</P>

Especially as the season progresses and they start figuring out how to key on the WR's.</P>

I hope you're right about Benson. As the QB is more established (and he already looks really good) he might get some holes to run through. As long as no other WR's get 2 1/2 pounds of pot in the mail anymore of course.</P>

Bengals receiver Jerome Simpson (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4859/jerome-simpson) was detained Tuesday, along with teammate Anthony Collins (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4641/anthony-collins),
after police intercepted a package delivered to Simpson’s home that
contained 2.5 pounds of marijuana. Authorities found another six pounds
of the leafy green non-vegetable in Simpson’s residence.</p>

Simpson and Collins both attended practice on Wednesday. On Thursday, Collins was there. Simpson wasn’t.</p>Still,
this isn’t a run-of-the-mill DUI, marijuana possession, and/or domestic
abuse situation. It involves enough pot and supplies to suggest that
someone was distributing pot, not just selling it. It is a distraction,
and it will be a distraction.

Bengals receiver Jerome Simpson (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4859/jerome-simpson) was detained Tuesday, along with teammate Anthony Collins (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4641/anthony-collins), after police intercepted a package delivered to Simpson’s home that contained 2.5 pounds of marijuana. Authorities found another six pounds of the leafy green non-vegetable in Simpson’s residence.</P>

Simpson and Collins both attended practice on Wednesday. On Thursday, Collins was there. Simpson wasn’t.</P>

Still, this isn’t a run-of-the-mill DUI, marijuana possession, and/or domestic abuse situation. It involves enough pot and supplies to suggest that someone was distributing pot, not just selling it. It is a distraction, and it will be a distraction.</P>

<u>cc</u>- check
<u>nova</u>- check
<u>aj</u>- absolutely not
<u>garcia</u>- meeeh doable. him and nova are huge reasons why the yanks made it but im worried with his velocity, against a team like boston he could get crushed if hes not locating.
<u>calon</u>- i like him. solid vet been in the playoffs. seems to have lost his dominate 4seam and 2 seam he had at the start of the season, but i think he can still deal. WE NEED TO GIVE HIM RUN SUPPORT. i dont understand whenever he pitched he always got the **** end of the stick and the yanks never scored.
<u>hughes</u>- is having back problems, brought his velocity back up but im not sold on him. hes too inconsistent. maybe long relief.

its iffy but im confident.
