The Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Tony Grossi believes Peyton Hillis will request a trade ahead of the October 18 deadline.</p>

Grossi says contract talks between the Browns
and Hillis are "not going well," and that a trade request is likely the
"next step." It's hard to imagine the Browns cutting ties with one of
their few offensive weapons, though it's become clear they have little
interest in inking their feature back to a lucrative long-term
extension. While Hillis and his third agent in four months desperately
struggle to maintain leverage, the Browns have little motivation to act
on a trade request even if Montario Hardesty looms as a potential
replacement.

I know we have 0 money but he seems like we would be the perfect Giant.

we would of had to traded jacobs for him plus whatever else they would of wanted.

Morning Matt. Hillis or Jacobs? Tough one jacobs has same number of td's and is only .5 ypc under hillis with 16 less carries. They're about equal.

Is Jacobs being under used so far this year?

actually i'd prefer Hillis if we're talking just straight up performance. He has more miles to give, better runner, and can catch but if u got rid of Jacobs there would be alot of pissed of New York Giants

This is what I tell them. Right now we have our "feel good" summer music. But as you know Morehead is dark. I'm looking forward to playing some better stuff this winter.</P>

But I'm talking about our appearances at the "Ranch" in front of a freindly crowd.</P>

It looks like we will play at a local bar at some time this fall/winter. Supposedly our front man has an opportunity for us. Unfortunately, probably still for beer and food.</P>

are u guys a full cover band or do u mix in originals? Do you have a solid following?

Fall is the best time for bar music. People are back home from the summer and they spend money until xmas then they are tapped for a few months.

I use to try and pump shows out every weekend sept to mid dec

Should have some stuff posted in youtube next week.</P>

for the season?

The season is just starting

You have like 2-3 months of people hitting the bars hard and being home. why would u stop now?
</P>

</P>

Well our leader thinks my music is too dark. I disagree. yes I have some bluesie songs or even a dark song or too. I guess "Already Dead" fits that bill. I'm hoping to get some original songs in the mix.</P>

well it is simple:

Cover bands get paid and only big time original bands get paid. Or if u set up a deal when there is a cover and you get a piece of who u bring to the bar.

If your going to be a cover band and want real money you have to find more listener friendly songs. Your singer is right.

we would of had to traded jacobs for him plus whatever else they would of wanted.

</p>

Not at all a need for us. Unless its a corner, we don't need to look at any trades.</p>

not saying it was. Although the idea of Hillis and Bradshaw is pretty sick

We all know it would never happen. But it would be dope. I also agree it's not a need for us and I really don't want to get rid of Jacobs. I just wish he would get the ball more. Maybe they are trying to save him for our brutal 8 game end to make sure he is fresh.

Tonight is the season finale.</p>

Should have some stuff posted in youtube next week.</p>

for the season?

The season is just starting

You have like 2-3 months of people hitting the bars hard and being home. why would u stop now?
</p>

</p>

Well our leader thinks my music is too dark. I disagree. yes I have some bluesie songs or even a dark song or too. I guess "Already Dead" fits that bill. I'm hoping to get some original songs in the mix.</p>

Speaking of Already Dead.......</p>

http://www.reverbnation.com/yummytheunderdog</p>

well it is simple:

Cover bands get paid and only big time original bands get paid. Or if u set up a deal when there is a cover and you get a piece of who u bring to the bar.

If your going to be a cover band and want real money you have to find more listener friendly songs. Your singer is right.
</p>

Right now I really don't care about making money. I just want to play and get better. Playing with other musicians has help me improve a lot.</p>

Ultimately I want to market and sell my songs and be in a band that plays them once in a while.</p>

ha its a young mans game pappy. You have to grind for a fan base to be able to do that

Is <a class="flexpop">Mario Manningham</a> still in the doghouse?
Anyone watching the Giants beat the Cardinals last week had to notice
Super Mario's disappearing act: He didn't play in two-receiver sets at
all in the second half, ceding time to <a class="flexpop">Victor Cruz</a>.
The New York media whirlwind hasn't gotten many on-the-record comments
about specifically what Manningham did early in the game that ticked off
someone, but given his penchant for sloppy routes especially near the
sidelines (and his shaky hands, though he didn't have any drops in Week 4
that I saw), one imagines it was about being in the right place at the
right time. Cruz wound up with six catches for 98 yards, which sent many
folks scrambling to the waiver wire to grab him, considering Cruz now
has nine catches for 208 yards and two TDs the past two weeks. I'm not
biting yet. I still put Manningham solidly in No. 3 fantasy wideout
territory this week, the only ESPN ranker to do so. The Seahawks don't
feature a secondary that frightens me, and I saw them struggle mightily
with No. 2 Falcons receiver <a class="flexpop">Julio Jones</a>
last week. All comments out of Giants camp the past few days indicate
Manningham should be back in two-receiver sets, which should relegate
Cruz to a cameo role. If he replaces Mario at all again this week, well,
then we have ourselves a story.

NEW YORK -- Abiding by George Steinbrenner's credo of a championship
or failure, Yankees team president Randy Levine labeled the 2011 season
as unsuccessful.</p>

"We are the Yankees," Levine told ESPNNewYork.com
on Friday as he and the franchise coped with being eliminated at home
in Game 5 of the ALDS by the Tigers. "That is the way The Boss set it
up. When you don't win the World Series, it is a bitter disappointment
and not a successful year."</p>

Levine said the Yankees are using
Friday to reflect on the team's disappointment. When they return to go
full throttle toward 2012, the first order of business will be to
re-sign Yankees general Brian Cashman. Both Cashman and the team have
said that they want him to return.</p>

"Hopefully, as I've said to you many times, we can get Cash
done," Levine said. "And then he can start putting the team together."</p>

If Cashman re-signs, then his first big decision is how to handle the opt-out clause in CC Sabathia (http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/4553/cc-sabathia)'s
contract. Sabathia can forgo the final year of his seven-year, $161
million contract and become a free agent. Sabathia, 31, has four years
and $92 million left on his current contract.</p>

He said he has not
made a decision yet, but it is hard to imagine he won't at least use the
clause to either receive more money and/or years from the Yankees.</p>

The
Yankees must decide how much more they want to invest in the portly
left-hander, who has continually been among the league leaders in
innings pitched. Levine declined to speculate on what the Yankees could
offer Sabathia.</p>

At this point, Jorge Posada (http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/3341/jorge-posada) is the biggest name who is expected not to return, leaving the Core Four down to the Dynamic Duo of shortstop Derek Jeter (http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/3246/derek-jeter) and closer Mariano Rivera (http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/3240/mariano-rivera).</p>

This
past season, Jeter picked up hit No. 3,000 in dramatic fashion, while
Rivera set the all-time saves record, but those feats did not ease the
pain Levine feels from being eliminated.</p>

</p>

"We had the best record in [the American League,]" Levine
said. "We had a lot of great moments between Jeter and Mariano. We had a
very strong (97-win) regular season."</p>

Levine said the late
Steinbrenner drove the Yankees' win-or-else mentality, and while the
franchise still has that as its mission statement, it may take a more
measured approach to improving.</p>

One of the aspects that Cashman
has been most proud of since he has gained more control of personnel
decisions is the Yankees' patience. </p>

The Yankees will likely look into the top free agent pitcher, C.J. Wilson (http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/6311/cj-wilson) of the Rangers. They could also deal for a starter, but Cashman has been hesitant to give up his top prospects, catcher/DH Jesus Montero (http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/29448/jesus-montero), who figures to start next year in the majors, and minor league starters Manny Banuelos and Dellin Betances (http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/31122/dellin-betances).</p>

"It's
way too early to even speculate, do anything or talk about anything,"
Levine said. "Nobody is talking about that today. Everybody is just
reflecting on what took place. There is absolutely nothing today. The
wound is too fresh."</p>

"I think playing that second half and the way we came out, the Eagles
didn't want to play no more," Gore said in an interview on ESPN's "First
Take."

"We just kept pounding and kept pounding and making plays and we kind of knocked the fight out of them," Gore said.

Called it prior to the season. They have no oline, only one serviceabe safety, and nothing at LB. The spent a **** load of money and did nothing to address their glaring weaknesses last season. I am enjoying every single second of their epic fail

New York Giants (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/nyg/new-york-giants) quarterback Eli Manning (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/5526/eli-manning)
has played two straight games without throwing an interception. Not
coincidentally, the Giants, who host Seattle on Sunday, have won both of
those games. The last time Manning played three straight games without
an interception was Weeks 2-5 of the 2008 season, and the Giants won all
three of those games, too. (They had a bye in Week 4 that year.) In
Manning's career as a starter, the Giants are 32-8 in games in which he
does not throw an interception and 35-39 in games in which he throws at
least one. That includes postseason play.

The Philadelphia Eagles (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/phi/philadelphia-eagles)
have held fourth-quarter leads in each of their past three games and
lost all three, but that doesn't tell the whole story of how complete
these collapses are. Philadelphia, which plays at Buffalo on Sunday, has
been outscored 36-0 in the fourth quarter over the past three weeks.
The Eagles have been outgained 335 yards to 282. They've converted 2 of 8
third downs and allowed opponents to convert 9 of 14. They've committed
three turnovers and forced none. According to ESPN Stats &amp;
Information, in Philadelphia's three-game losing streak, its nine
fourth-quarter possessions have finished with three turnovers, two
missed field goals, two turnovers on downs, one punt and the end of the
game.

Osi Umenyiora (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/4514/osi-umenyiora) missed the first three games of the year while recovering from knee surgery, and Justin Tuck (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/8488/justin-tuck)
has missed two games with a neck injury. Yet the Giants' defense has
still managed 12 sacks so far and ranks fifth in the league in that
category. The Giants are on pace to surpass last year's team sack total
of 46, and the main reason appears to be the emergence and consistency
of second-year defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/13256/jason-pierre-paul),
the team's first-round pick in the 2010 draft. If the Giants can ever
get Tuck, Umenyiora and Pierre-Paul on the field at the same time, they
could be downright terrifying.

bigblue4417

Marshawn Lynch (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/10456/marshawn-lynch)'s opportunity. The Seattle Seahawks (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/sea/seattle-seahawks)'
offensive line took pride in allowing no sacks in its most recent game.
A repeat performance on the road against the New York Giants isn't
realistic. However, this game does give the Seahawks an opportunity to
improve their unproductive ground game. The Giants have allowed 100-yard
rushers in their past two games. The Seahawks have failed to top 64
yards rushing in three of their four games. Marshawn Lynch has gained 61
percent of his rushing yards after contact this season, the
fourth-highest percentage in the league, according to ESPN Stats &amp;
Information. Seattle's line needs to keep defenders off him a little
longer.

An unlikely interception drought. Few safeties cover as much ground as quickly as the Seahawks' Earl Thomas (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/13251/earl-thomas),
but that has not translated into interceptions. Thomas, after picking
off five passes in his first 10 NFL games, has intercepted none in his
past 12, counting playoffs. A penalty wiped out an interception for
Thomas against Arizona this season. Seattle has collected only two of
the 125 interceptions thrown in the NFL this season, and the Giants' Eli Manning (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/5526/eli-manning)
has cut down on turnovers dramatically. A turnover from Thomas
certainly would help the Seahawks' chances in a game few expect them to
win. He's playing too well to go much longer without picking off passes.

Cruz is awesome, and I'm not gonna really blame him for slipping there and then trying to pull out the catch.

Our Running Game is terrible...what happened.

overall I think we just fell to a trap game...I still think we are in good shape in our division.

I have to agree that we're ok in our division. Inconsistent is the word for our defense. When we dial it up we're awesome --and we can suck at the same time. We no longer have a run game-a bit over 60 yards against a defense that was giving 100 yds to previous teams. Most of AB's yards came in big bursts to the left side. The right side of the line is not getting it done or playcalls were not going that way based on matchups.

If cruz didn't slip and miss that step, we Win.

Cruz is awesome, and I'm not gonna really blame him for slipping there and then trying to pull out the catch.

Our Running Game is terrible...what happened.

Defense is hit or miss each series....sometimes we are awesome sometimes we just suck.

overall I think we just fell to a trap game...I still think we are in good shape in our division.

I agree but I must point out one thing:

our defense without Osi - s<u>till can play at a top level.</u>

our defense without Tuck - VERY ORDINARY
this d hasnt been playing at a top level, but i agree i dont think we would skip a beat osi. jpp and tuck are both animals
what the f is the deal with us going offsides on two occassions with a 1st and goal late in the game? Are you kidding me?
wtfs the deal with not playing until the whistle blows, especially in the redzone? whats the deal with fewell being here for over a year and we still have wrs running wide open, elite wrs? whats the deal with ****ing whitehurst and grossman throwing all over us? whats the deal with our run d?

fewell can't play for them, if ur speaking on that td to baldwin

That was a player **** up

but i agree with u all along Dezz. I want man to man press 90% of the time..... but that specific play Rolle or whoever it was jumped on the fake screen

we have to be leading the league in penalties...

Honestly how many offensive series did we have where Eli was getting sacked or a penalty and we in long yardage. It felt like EVERY SINGLE time we had the ball.

It was starting to feel like quicksand every time and these are the circumstances where Eli makes mistakes...it could of been much worse. He has improved a bit.

Good point-agreed. Is tuck probable for Sunday?

i read something last week that said he won't return til after bye week. So i doubt he plays this week
It's bad for Buffalo game, but good that Tuck's chances of being 100% for our very tough second half of the season is possible.

Justin Tuck was limited in practice today with an ongoing neck
injury. He said after practice that he's "definitely" considered
shutting down until after the Giants (http://www.nj.com/giants/)' Week 7 bye.</p>

"That sounds like a smart thing to do," Tuck said. "We'll see. I don't know."</p>

He added that there's no guarantee if he shut himself down, he'd be healthy for the rest of the season.</p>

</p>

so i guess not necessarily

again, I really disagree with that.

He still lofted alot of balls, didn't step into pressure, had the WR slip and a ball bounce off his hands, garbage time INT, and then one justified INT

Even those two balls to Cruz: the one for the TD and the one on the last drive that eli threw low and Cruz caught. They weren' PERFECT balls by any means, but they got there. Because they were caught people like Moorehead will give Eli respect and say hes improved - but the truth is those are the same balls being thrown last year...

even Aikman was saying the same thing i've been saying. The fact that Cruz caught the ball makes Eli all of a sudden a QB whose improved. he even brought it up on those tipped balls that we were lucky didn't get INT.

Eli is Eli... its what those do around him which ultimately define his success or not. We are not seeing much different play. Even the whole "Eli is TAKING more sacks" argument im not agreeing with. He just isn't having time to even try to make those throws. The line is putrid at times

But not to start with Moorehead and not give him credit - good call with MArshawn Lynch. I had to gag when I said that

Speaking of the AB speed debate(Dave)-From Ab;s position on the right side AB managed to almost catch the wr on the left side of the field before he entered the endzone with the interception.

The right side of the line is not getting it done or playcalls were not going that way based on matchups.

If cruz didn't slip and miss that step, we Win.

Charlie Whitehouse engineering an 80 yard drive and hitting receivers like he's Tom Brady showed what our defense was doing.

we ALWAYS get lit up by backup QBs

Why do we always get killed when teams run no huddle to. I'm surprised every team in the NFL doesn't do it to us. I have a feeling we will be seeing alot of it this week against Buffalo

Cruz is awesome, and I'm not gonna really blame him for slipping there and then trying to pull out the catch.

Our Running Game is terrible...what happened.

Defense is hit or miss each series....sometimes we are awesome sometimes we just suck.

overall I think we just fell to a trap game...I still think we are in good shape in our division.

thats another thing - penalties

we have to be leading the league in penalties...

Honestly how many offensive series did we have where Eli was getting sacked or a penalty and we in long yardage. It felt like EVERY SINGLE time we had the ball.

It was starting to feel like quicksand every time and these are the circumstances where Eli makes mistakes...it could of been much worse. He has improved a bit.

again, I really disagree with that.

I had to gag when I said that

and Big B - **** YOU!!! lol
I can agree with the fact that Eli's reciever's define his improved or declined play. He get's the ball in the vicinity and Plax(ie) could commonly get to it. Eli is much different than Gb's Rodger's or Brady who throw precise darts to their receivers.

ehhh - its really not. Did u hapeen to see Brady vs the Jets.... he basically does the same **** - hes just more accurate. They all aren't on the money at all
Brady is def more accurate. In my opinion -- there's a distinct diff between the balls Brady/Rodgers throw compared to Eli.

Eh, im not sold on that. They also seem to have alot more wide open receivers just streaming down the field or at least having alot of space around them.

We alway seem to have crowds and receivers barely with enough room

It def does seem that way, our receivers have crowds around them, wtf. Are we that slow?

Another thing about that last play. Eli wanted the ball hiked but Boothe didn't hear him so we get a false start. I know Bradshaw was going to run it that play to keep the clock going but no. Penalty, Int. ****! We just keep killing ourselves. Same **** different day.

An over reaction from Morehead? what has this world come to.

Look, I think we have some VERY Good Receivers, I have Faith in Eli still (as I always have) I think our O-Line needs to Improve..and it will when Baas gets back, our Defense has not been fully healthy yet this year...not even once, our secondary isn't terrible (I don't like Grant everyone else has been passable this year) Jacquain Williams looks like he might turn into a solid Linebacker one day and JPP is a bonafied BEAST on the line...when Tuck is back our secondary won't have to cover as long and our run defense will improve.

I'm more confident now that we will make the playoffs then I was before the season started....we've coped with some serious injury issues and are still in good shape in our division...

it could be MUCH worse...we could be Philly...we could have our "dream team" all together and still suck....our team is far from 100% right now and we are one slip by Cruz from a 4-1 record.

I was listening to sports talk radio this morning and they said we have the worst home field advantage in the NFL. I swear it never benefits us to play at home, sometimes it hurts us.

They had not won a game on the East Coast in 9 tries. It was 8 am local time for them when the game started and they were probably at the stadium a couple hours before that. We should have killed them.

Phillips was flagged for unnecessary roughness for a hit on Seahawks
tight end Zach Miller on Sunday, and he says he’s expecting to get fined
as well — even though he says the on-field officials told him they know
he wasn’t going for Miller’s head.</p>

“The refs said I didn’t hit him in the head, I just launched at him. I
guess I’m just gonna have to accept the penalty,” Phillips said.</p>

On the play in question, Phillips did appear to be aiming
shoulder-to-shoulder rather than helmet-to-helmet. However, he also left
his feet to hit Miller, while Miller’s hand was outstretched to reach
for a pass over his head, at a time when Miller couldn’t protect
himself. That’s why the flag was thrown and the fine is forthcoming.</p>

“I was just trying to make a play,” Phillips said. “I saw the ball
was out there and I thought I could get to the ball, so I just tried to
separate him from it.”</p>

Miller left the game with an apparent concussion. Phillips has already been fined $10,000 (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/16/giants-rolle-fined-20000-phillips-fined-10000/) this season for a hit to the head or neck area, so he’ll likely get an even bigger fine as a repeat offender.</p>

I'm sick of our team not showing up in front of their own fans</p>

I'm sick of this coaching staff.....every last one of them</p>

I'm sick of this generally disfunctional team. And in one word thats what this team is ......</p>

<font size="4">DISFUNCTIONAL!!!!</font></p>

This team is in decline because Mr. Mara didn't pull the trigger on TC two years ago. So I'm sick of him too.</p>

We might beat Miami. We might beat Washington and maybe Dallas once. I don't see much else.</p>

Look at SF with a young coach and a new attitude! We are the opposite. Old coach with a stale old attitude.</p>

PPPPPPPPositive is where I live.

On what team does everybody on defense stop when the DE goes off side?

</P>

They didn't stop. Ross and Rolle both took the under guy and no one got the other WR. It was a nice **** up! It was just so bad it seemed like they stopped...
</P>

In other words our coaching sucks. And it does...really bad.</P>

I don't think it was bad coaching, it was bad communication between the 2. 2 defenders and 2 WR's. One should get one and one should get the other. Seems pretty simple. lol
</P>

This is a poorly coached team.</P>

Procedure penalties in the red zone, turnovers, miss communication in the secondary, delay of game penalties, horrible tacling on special teams.......</P>

Its bad coaching. Sorry.</P>

Personally, I think Tuck HAS to play this week. We have a bye next week so he can rest. He has his new special helmet and this is a must win for us. A rested Tuck won't matter if we are done...
That's definitely a possibility-that we are done, but it's not over till the fat lady sings.
</p>

Yes but she is warming up the pipes.</p>lol--It is alway's bleakest before something great happens.

Gilbride Sucks, he's sucked before he even got to the giants...he's been holding back players since he entered the NFL....how people don't realize that by now is beyond me, TC is ok...I don't have a problem with him besides his age, Fewell I don't have a solid opinion on yet...

what I can tell you is I wish we would have kept Spags as the Head Coach here.

The only team that had a worse day than the Giants was my FF team.
Yeah they did. I got lucky to say the least. I knew Benson would not have a good day but I expected Phillip and VJack to kill it. I just don't know if I should bench my defense or not?

Does anyone know the most negative a D can go?

If your defense tanks, that means your kicker will have plenty of points. You are overthinking Landon.</P>

Phillips has already been fined $10,000 (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/16/giants-rolle-fined-20000-phillips-fined-10000/) this season for a hit to the head or neck area, so he’ll likely get an even bigger fine as a repeat offender.</p>the games ruined. bad. if kenny cant do that....theres no need for them.

coaching definitly has a big role in why we are not better than we are, but I agree o nthat specific instance it was the players with their heads up their *** not sticking to their responsibilities

The 400-yard passing game has become the norm, just another ho-hum passing number. With Eli Manning (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1657/eli-manning) going for 420 yards and Matt Schaub (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/16/matt-schaub)
going for 416 on Sunday, there have now been ten 400-yard passing games
this season, by far the most ever through five weeks, and the
fourth-most for any single season in NFL history.</p>

There were thirteen 400-yard games in 1986 and in 2004, and eleven in
2010. The 2011 season could break the all-time record by next Sunday.</p>

Yes, that’s right. There’s a real chance that by Week Six of 2011,
we’ll have seen more 400-yard passing days in one season than we had
ever seen in any one season in NFL history.</p>

There are a lot of explanations floated for this, ranging from a
wealth of talented quarterbacks and wide receivers, to rules changes, to
the lockout having defenses playing catchup this year. But there’s
little doubt that by the end of this year, we’ll have seen more 400-yard
passing games than in any previous season.</p>
