Surprised big time. They could have had David Garrard and given up nothing.</P>

Sounds like they may release him if they can't trade him. It was a dumb signing since they already had Avant to fill the role that Smith would.</P>

They also looked into getting Vince Young. Good thing they didn't give the Eagles that deal...

Jerry Jones would give up a ransom for that guy. I sure hope you are wrong, honestly I hope he stays.

corey web with 2 ints in man coverage??hmmmmm enough of this stupid 2 linebacker bull****. go **** a goat fewell. put kiwi in and blitz him, dude is on fire right now.....

besides JWill making bad reads the two LB thing worked

no its not. both that 80 yard run td and that long td pass were in his hybrid nickle ****. it suuuucks dude. its beeen sucking since the colts game last year.

The long TD pass was missed tackles. Makes no difference what defense your in if u can't tackle

and no.. JWill was suppose to fill the gap that FJax blew up in and Bernard tripped and got pushed completely out of the way with ease which widened the gap. Already rewatched the film real quick

JWill cut up to the left and got blocked into the wash. Had he met his blocker and blew him up or got ever the top of him the play would of been stopped. He was responsible for that gap

HE also had many other bad reads that lead to big gains
bro we have 5 dbs on the field and theyre still getting beat, still have wrs running wiiiiiide open, elite wrs. how does that happen? if players are constantly blowing coverage(which they all are), its on the coach. good teams are going to dissect us, book it. coverage schemes dont work. you agreed with me a few times, now you disagree. did mh hijack your account just to troll?
it doesnt work. period.
and not only that but now teams are running on us? wtf is that about? we ALWAYS were able to stop the run, until fewell showed up. guy is gaaaabage.

besides one rookie mistake we bottled up the run pretty legit...

take away the one 80 yard run
one rookie mistake? did you see the angle grant took?

wasn't that on the reception Grant took the awful angle?

Even if it wasn't, yes, Rookie mistake. By JWill not filling the gap and ducking in the wash thats what happened

ESPN's Chris Mortensen said Tuesday that Peyton Hillis could be dealt out of Cleveland.</p></div>

The Browns vehemently deny that Hillis is available, but they have plenty of incentive to lie. "There's a sense they could be persuaded. We'll see," Mortensen said. Hillis' contract issue, strep throat and now hamstring problem have contributed to his nightmare season.</p>

Could go to Dallas. (speculation on my part)</p>

Magic Johnson is the man! lol
</p>

</p>

"Everybody's always asking, 'Who is better between Kobe (Bryant) (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/110/kobe-bryant) and LeBron?' I'm like, Are you kidding me? I'm like you're kidding me ... Kobe, five championships; LeBron, zero."</p>

"I love the young man though. I know he's going to get better in the fourth quarter this year."</p>

More laughter. </p>

"I'm not hating on LeBron," he added. "He's a triple-double threat every single game and he's going to get better."</p>

But one thing Magic seemed serious about was dismissing any comparisons between James and fellow Hall-of-Famer Michael Jordan (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/1035/michael-jordan). </p>

"Come
on, man, six championships for Jordan. You know that Michael averaged
over 30 points every playoff series? Don't try to touch that," he said.</p>

</p>

Which is why I've always said and will always say, no matter how many rings Kobe wins he will NEVER be better than Jordan. NO ONE was better than MJ.
</p>

</p>

You hear me Morehead? NO ONE!!!

<U>Former Bills star Kent Hull dead at 50</U></P>

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Kent Hull, who served as Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly's center during the Buffalo Bills' AFC title years in the early 1990s, has died. He was 50.

Mississippi State, where Hull played his college ball, announced he passed away on Tuesday afternoon. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Hull was a three-time Pro Bowl selection during 11 seasons with the Bills. He was credited for playing a key role in helping run the team's no-huddle "K-Gun" offense. ...

as i've had a day to sleep on that Palmeer to Oakland deal, im not sure its as bad as we think it is.

I mean really most QBs have growing pains and really have their best years after 30 oppose to before 30. If Palmer is the vet that Oakland makes him out to be - it may end up being a great move.

To explain my absence-I took this week off from work. Getting alot done around the house and working on my gym some more.

I have to say that the Any Given Sunday speech from Al Pacino was a top notch addition to game time rituals. Kudos to Kase for coming up with that one!

Amanda-Thanks for the cupcakes, the kids loved them!

MH, Lando, JP, Daven, Sharick, Kase, Apologies to anyone I forgot, it was my great pleasure to meet you all and I look forward to next year's game.

Sorry it took me a hot minute. Work and family stuff. Just wanted to say that I had an awesome time at the game, the tailgate, the pregame dinner the night before, and everything else that went down. That tailgate was legendary and I am sure no one is gonna forget that time. I will try my very best to make it back home over there for the game every year. That whole trip down there was off the chain. Wanted to give you guys a shout out on behalf of my wife too. The only bad thing about that trip was that it had to end. Thanks for everything and nice to finally see the faces behind the madness

what do you mean what am I talking about, in a fill in role, with the limited amount of carries he gets he puts up numbers similar to bradshaw.

4.4 YPC vs 4.7 YPC (career regular season numbers)

yet everyone wants AB's balls in there mouth and DJ Ware is dead weight.

Give Ware more carries and I bet you he outshines bradshaw....unfortunately we will never see it.

Ware's a better Receiver and a better Blocker imho and his running skills are on par with bradshaw.

that said neither of them are anything special.

uhm Ware averages that over a lifetime 44 carries

Bradshaw averages that over 627 carries - please stop with that comparison lol

And this goes back to the age old debate about a RB main priority lol.

Ware is a straight forward runner wtih limited moves and not alot of force

Based on my opinion? the rest of what you said up there is a bunch of bull**** by the way, he hasn't only had success against 3rd stringers...the only time he's played against 3rd stringers is in preseason where his numbers are bonkers because of it, I'm only using regular season statistics in the comparison, as far as his numbers going down because of increased carries....while it may be true I don't think 20 carries vs 10 carries or 5 carries over the course of a SEASON is any way to determine whether he's the type of back who needs to get into a rhythm or not, give me a "GAME" where he gets 20ish carries and not against a defense like Baltimore just a regular old defense....compare it to what Bradshaw/Jacobs did then we will see....unfortunately it's never gonna happen so we won't recognize how good he is until he Ryan Grants on us.

Because Danny Ware is dead weight on this team and we need to replace him with something.</p>

he does well every single time we play him...I don't understand.
lol what are you talking about????

what do you mean what am I talking about, in a fill in role, with the limited amount of carries he gets he puts up numbers similar to bradshaw.

4.4 YPC vs 4.7 YPC

yet everyone wants AB's balls in there mouth and DJ Ware is dead weight.

Ware is a straight forward runner wtih limited moves and not alot of force
lol whos side are you on??

based on what? The more carries hes had the worse his numbers have been

not to mention his only "success" has been vs 3rd stringers

Based on my opinion? the rest of what you said up there is a bunch of bull**** by the way, he hasn't only had success against 3rd stringers...the only time he's played against 3rd stringers is in preseason where his numbers are bonkers because of it, I'm only using regular season statistics in the comparison, as far as his numbers going down because of increased carries....while it may be true I don't think 20 carries vs 10 carries or 5 carries over the course of a SEASON is any way to determine whether he's the type of back who needs to get into a rhythm or not, give me a "GAME" where he gets 20ish carries and not against a defense like Baltimore just a regular old defense....compare it to what Bradshaw/Jacobs did then we will see....unfortunately it's never gonna happen so we won't recognize how good he is until he Ryan Grants on us.

actually hes played in backups in blowouts too...

if ur really looking at the regular season stats then you'd see that hes averaged 3.7 a carry in the psat two years and thats where hes gotten the bulk of his carries

I KNOW this is a Daven bored day but TAGF is boring today so i'll play along.

Ryan Grant had no shot at playing here so we got rid of him. We had him the year we had the best rushing tandem in the league and then Bradshaw on the bench. Game of numbers

Ware has been the opposite of that. Grant was here during a bad time, Ware has been handed the RB3 job undeserved and has had and can't earn a spot on the field.

Plenty of opportunities last year to run him and we didnt. We are starting to give him his shot this year and he sucks. Scott will replace him by years end

Ware is good, or else he wouldnt be on our team.

Matt, I dont know what you mean by he was given a chance.....what? 3 carries? 4 carries? you need a bigger sample size....
Im just saying it's not worth arguing because you dont know either.</P>

Hes obviously not impressive in practice because so many opportunities where he would get carries hes not getting.

He currently has 13 rushes on the year, on pace to smash his career high. The guy has shown NOTHING. For instane the other day he got in this week vs the Bills (thank god I DVR'd) and he had this run that he cut to the outside into 3 defenders while our whole line had a push for him up the middle

It was one of the dumbest things i've seen a RB do. He doesn't have the vision, he doesn't have the speed, he doesn't have the power. He runs hard, can catch the ball, and can block - but he won't last because he can't handle the rock

but i will say this, this oline would make ap look average right now. i also think its time we moved on from bj, keep him as a 3rd down back but id like to have a guy with speed, and let ab be the bruiser.

I'm saying he's good because when I watch him play he looks like he does everything pretty well...I'm not saying he's ELITE (like Eli :P) but he's good, and all around good, I don't think any of our RB's besides Jacobs are anything special...and Jacobs hasn't made anything (and I doubt he will at this point) out of his "special....ness"

he does do everything well. WELL being the key word, nothing great and running the ball is the thing he does the least well. Hence why he'll be done

how is it bs? go watch the preseason games cause thats pretty much the only time we see him. against a bunch of 3rd stringers. he was having problems getting out of the backfield, not because of our line, but because he was slow, he doesnt have a burst. blocking, hes lost......that not even debatable. if he was hitting holes and picking up blocks, hed be starting.....

The New Favorites

My preseason pick of the Giants as NFC East champs (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/07/the-pft-postseason-picks/)
doesn’t look too crazy now. New York is the slight favorite in a wide
open division because 1) They are ahead. 2) They don’t have RexJohn
Beckman as their quarterback. 3) They have reason to believe they’ll get
better.</p>

The margin for error is slim. They are slight favorites, capable of winning (and losing (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/11/giant-meltdown-was-worst-loss-of-week-five/)) to anyone.</p>

Reinforcements coming</p>

The Giants started the season with a brand new offensive line. They’ve played without Pro Bowler guard Chris Snee (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/183/chris-snee) at times. That group should continue to improve the more it plays together.</p>

On defense, the front seven hasn’t had all its pass rushers together at the same time. Justin Tuck (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3286/justin-tuck) should be back after the bye. Osi Umenyiora (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/975/osi-umenyiora) has been solid since his return. The team also hopes to get first round pick cornerback Prince Amukamara (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6494/prince-amukamara) back after the bye. He’ll add depth to a weak spot for New York.</p>

Pass rush potential</p>

I picked the Giants on one theory: They had enough offensive talent
and no one could match their quantity of pass rushers. They lead the NFL
in sacks. When Tuck is healthy, it will be tough to block him, Osi
Umenyiora (5 sacks in three games), Jason Pierre-Paul (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5681/jason-pierre-paul) (7 sacks), Mathias Kiwanuka (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3616/mathias-kiwanuka), and Chris Canty (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3260/chris-canty).</p>

Pierre-Paul should make the Pro Bowl this year. The defense hasn’t
been great overall, but the pass rush gives this team an edge.</p>

“Giants Football” a little different</p>

Eli Manning (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1657/eli-manning) is quietly having a nice season. He’s third in the league in yards-per-attempt. Victor Cruz (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6313/victor-cruz) has ably stepped up as a playmaker. Jake Ballard (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6310/jake-ballard) is doing a solid job at tight end. Throw in Hakeem Nicks (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5136/hakeem-nicks) and Mario Manningham (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4654/mario-manningham), and it’s clear this is a passing team.</p>

New York is 31st in yards-per-carry. This team is going to win by throwing.</p>

Schedule is brutal</p>

The Giants get the Dolphins coming out of the bye. That should get
them to 5-2, but then they face as tough a schedule as any team in the
league: @ NE, @ SF, PHI, @NO, GB, @ DAL. Yikes. It doesn’t even ease
up in the final three much. (WAS, @NYJ, DAL).</p>

The second place schedule was a disadvantage this year because they
got the Saints and Packers. The rest of the NFC East has a tough
schedule too. My guess is only one NFC East team gets in.</p>

My preseason pick of the Giants as NFC East champs (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/07/the-pft-postseason-picks/) doesn’t look too crazy now. New York is the slight favorite in a wide open division because 1) They are ahead. 2) They don’t have RexJohn Beckman as their quarterback. 3) They have reason to believe they’ll get better.</P>

I picked the Giants on one theory: They had enough offensive talent and no one could match their quantity of pass rushers. They lead the NFL in sacks. When Tuck is healthy, it will be tough to block him, Osi Umenyiora (5 sacks in three games), Jason Pierre-Paul (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5681/jason-pierre-paul) (7 sacks), Mathias Kiwanuka (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3616/mathias-kiwanuka), and Chris Canty (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3260/chris-canty).</P>

Pierre-Paul should make the Pro Bowl this year. The defense hasn’t been great overall, but the pass rush gives this team an edge.</P>

That should get them to 5-2, but then they face as tough a schedule as any team in the league: @ NE, @ SF, PHI, @NO, GB, @ DAL. Yikes. It doesn’t even ease up in the final three much. (WAS, @NYJ, DAL).</P>

The second place schedule was a disadvantage this year because they got the Saints and Packers. The rest of the NFC East has a tough schedule too. My guess is only one NFC East team gets in.</P> morning Landon....pretty tough looking schedule! its good to be getting guys back which is going to help....We should beat the Dolphins and keep things rolling build a little more confidence....the rest of those games are almost like playoff games

all games are important - the games where everything is on the line are obviously more important.

Again, had we won the Titans game the year before, the game that would of been the most important game of the season would of been the Minny game (if the season had played out the same exact way which if you have any type of common sense u'd realize it wouldn't)

Had we beat the Eagles or Packers we would have made the playoffs so essentially they were playoff games. I know you know this and it really shouldn't have to be spelled out for you. Even though they were not "playoff games" essentially they were....win and your in, lose and your out.

Back on Sept. 12, when the St. Louis Cardinals (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/stl/) trailed the National League wild card by 4 1/2 games (http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/standings/wildcard.jsp?ymd=20110912#20110912) with 15 to play in the season, some slaphappy fan at the MGM sports book in Las Vegas put down $500 of faith in his team.</p>

What were the odds that the Cardinals were going to come back from
the brink and make something of themselves and make this dude some cash?
Well, not only can we tell you the odds, but we can also tell you what
the payoff is.</p>

The <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">sap</span> true believer, Deadspin reports (http://deadspin.com/5851837/the-man-who-bet-the-cardinals-at-9991-when-they-were-out-of-the-race-is-looking-smart-and-rich-right-now),
wagered $250 at 500-to-1 odds that Team Fredbird would take the NL
pennant, along with another $250 — at 999-to-1 odds — that the Cardinals
would win the World Series.</p>
Well, the fella (a St. Louisan,
Deadspin says) is already $125,000 richer after the Cards upset the
Phillies and Brewers in the NL playoffs, and he's three more St. Louis
victories away from winning $250,000.

After a pleasantly long week of vacation, which included working on my gym...usually much later in the day into the wee hours after, stacking 2 cords of wood, closing the pool, and accomplishing a lot of goals, I'm getting the gym to where I want it. I built/stained the trophy shelves-not 100% complete, but nearly there. Framed and hung some sheetrock, not going to tape anytime soon. Wired in an outlet, Installed led rope lights over top two rows of shelving. Laid down the foam interlocking gym matts. Covered the unfinished ceiling with plastic until I decide on how I will finish it. Need to decide where the flat screen will go and It will be home.

im so fantasy sick this year its gross

i don't have a good record in any of my leagues except one, but its my $300 a team league i split with blondie.

Im mid pack of my big league thats been going on for like 15 years, but high points and primed for the rest of the year. I just acquired McCoy and got through his bye vs Rodgers.

BUT for the most part i've had just a stomach turning fantasy season. Typically in the rest of my leagues tops in points but bottom of the barrel in standings. Bad matchups all year

Then yesterday I have a ****in cake walk vs Lando then Moss, Hightower, and Choice ALLL leave the game early and Miles Austin, Vinteria, and Dallas Clark combined for 2.5 points. ****in gross

I can at least hold my hat that Hightower was back in action for Washington. I told you guys that Torrain stuff was BS. Only reason he didn't play the game and a half before was because of shoulder injury

****ing gross. Im so pissed man.

I was able to watch the Red Zone all day - god bless the red zone for fantasy purposes
Red-Zone, that's an app you watch on your phone right? I don't think I have red zone on nfl network.

OH MY WORD, I am working on a deal that may bring me some extremely rare items. Part of this deal includes some unbelievable Giants items that quite possibly are one of a kind. I have not figured out how this would be given to the FF winner, but if i get them, lets just say that any true Giants fan would be very, very proud to show these off...All i can say is ELITE. Just ****in ELITE man............

LMAO - if its Eli stuff i want Moorehead to wint the league just so he can hang it up on his office
Good Morning Matt--Thank god for Brees is all I can say.

im so fantasy sick this year its gross

i don't have a good record in any of my leagues except one, but its my $300 a team league i split with blondie.

I always knew injuries are more than half the game...before I played fantasy, the only injuries that ever mattered to me were NYG and their opponents. Now I have to consider the whole league. Staying healthy and having adequate depth are keys to winning in FF.

Oh hell no, me either. If the game isn't on TV I have to go to my dads or the bar but when I'm at home it's all I watch. Plus on Direct TV they have a channel called game mix. It shows all 8 games at once and you can move the box around to a different game and it will play the sound on whatever game you choose. Pretty cool to.

Darren McFadden (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4649/Darren-McFadden) left in the first quarter with a sprained foot and didn’t return. No word on the severity of this injury as of late Sunday night, but McFadden’s Week 8 bye comes at an ideal time. Michael Bush (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4156/Michael-Bush) (17 rush, 99 yds) is the clear beneficiary if Run DMC is unable to go coming out of the bye.

Matthew Stafford (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/5132/Matthew-Stafford) suffered knee and ankle injuries late, and had a “noticeable limp” in the locker room
after Sunday’s loss to the Falcons, according to MLive.com. Stafford
says he was going to attempt to return to the game if the Lions had
gotten the ball back, but he never got that chance. Meanwhile,
ProFootballTalk.com reports that Stafford is headed for an MRI on
Monday, which should clarify his outlook. Shaun Hill (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/1216/Shaun-Hill) immediately becomes a viable start in fantasy leagues if Stafford ends up missing time.

Beanie Wells (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/5167/Beanie-Wells) (12 rush, 42 yds) left with a sprained right knee and didn’t return.
Sometimes injuries that are initially called knee sprains end up being
something worse, but we won’t know Beanie’s outlook until he undergoes
an MRI (and yes, the right knee is the one that was surgically repaired
prior to last season).

Tim Hightower (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4901/Tim-Hightower) (17 rush, 88 yds) suffered a potentially serious knee injury,
with ESPN 980’s Chris Russell reporting that the Redskins “strongly
believe” that he tore his ACL (we’ll know for sure after an MRI on
Monday). Ryan Torain (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4809/Ryan-Torain)
was an afterthought on Sunday (2 rush, -5 yds), but he appears likely
to get another chance at the lead back role now. And given Mike
Shanahan’s dastardly backfield whims (not to mention Torain’s injury
history), Roy Helu (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/6593/Roy-Helu) should be stashed away in most formats.

Willis McGahee (http://twitter.com/#%21/MattStroup) (18 rush, 76 yds) fractured his hand in Sunday’s comeback win over the Dolphins. No word as of Sunday night how much time McGahee might miss.

Speaking of fractured hands, Santana Moss (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/867/Santana-Moss) broke a bone in his left hand in Sunday’s loss to Carolina, with ESPN 980’s Chris Russell reporting that he’s likely to miss 3-4 weeks. Jabar Gaffney (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/1716/Jabar-Gaffney) (4 rec, 68 yds) and Fred Davis (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4716/Fred-Davis) (6 rec, 80 yds, TD) both stand to benefit.
