Can we PLEASE stop ripping people for what you guys "think" are unfair trades now? if it's clear that people are scamming that's one thing but lets stop the bull crap k :)

This is the stance I had taken last year and couldn't agree more with what you said.

</P>

Scrappy lucked out with Austin going down. He essentially traded a top 5 WR in Austin and another legit #2 WR in Moss for two #2 WR's and a back up QB.</P>

It worked out because Matts two WR's he got ended up injured. If he had to start Cutler instead of Newton he'd be toast.</P>

But I admit, through circumstances, his team looks strong.</P>

Giants Run Defense: You know the drill. The Giants are
supposed to be smashmouth: all about running the ball and stopping the
run. It's time for reality to erase that hype. New York has rushed for
the third-fewest yards per game in the NFL on offense, and they've been
borderline disastrous keeping opposing RBs in check over the past month.
They've been steamrolled by <a class="flexpop">LeSean McCoy</a>, <a class="flexpop">Beanie Wells</a>, <a class="flexpop">Marshawn Lynch</a> and <a class="flexpop">Fred Jackson</a> in their past four games. What gives?

The
Giants were off last week, but I went back and grabbed film of their
run-defense lowlights from their previous four tilts. An argument
defending the G-Men probably begins with the fact that <a class="flexpop">Justin Tuck</a>
hasn't seen the field since Week 3; Tuck will reportedly return for
this week's game against the Dolphins. But I also see some inexperienced
linebackers making mistakes. <a class="flexpop">Greg Jones</a>
has potential, but hasn't completely filled a trouble spot that's
plagued the Giants for a few seasons; he doesn't make nearly enough
tackles for a 4-3 middle linebacker. <a class="flexpop">Jacquian Williams</a>'
speed on the weak side occasionally flashes, but I saw him run his way
directly out of tackles on a couple occasions versus the Seahawks and
Bills. The good news is that these guys are rookies with nice upside who
could start performing better as soon as this year, as they adjust: The
art form to defending the run is often slowing down just a bit rather
than charging uncontrolled where you think the RB might go. (<a class="flexpop">Antonio Pierce</a> was fantastic at this.) The bad news, though, is that for the moment there are too many big runs coming against the Giants:</p><div class="mod-container mod-no-footer content-box mod-inline full mod-no-header-footer"><div class="mod-content"><h3>

That
12.9 percent mark is 23rd-best in the NFL, making this Giants D a
bottom-10 unit when it comes to stopping big plays on the ground. It's
true that the G-Men are still fearsome in their pass rush, but they
don't scare me as a running back matchup right now.</p>

Bolden and marshall are dud FF-wise. You got Cutler and then released him. Austin got hurt right after the trade and hasn't been right since.</p>

But it was Cam Newton that saved your bacon.</p>

You got scalped on the trade if you take out injuries and your winning the lotto with Newton.</p>

Blah blah blah, my team has done better then it would have done had I not made that trade so far, and it looks like it will be doing far better for the rest of the year as well, (Boldin and Marshall will end up a better duo then Santana Moss and Austin Miles straight up)

the trade was GOOD for me...so ya'll need to stop the nitpicking and whining about every "questionable" so you guys say trade every year and let the chips fall where they may.

Based on this, the total number of rushing attempts by our opponents has consistently declined since week 3. I'd say that's because we are easier to pass against. I agree that in week 3 we were soft in the middle, but I'm not seeing that we are that weak on the ground right now.

Dam--I missed it, too busy stacking firewood till 10 pm. But I am psyched about the paint job I did on the supports for my 18 year old power rack. It's in really good condition considering the age. I painted them BRIGHT RED. The rack itself is a dark grey. It's going to be a cool color contrast.

I looooooved that show. I couldn't get enough. He did well against Ali. It was nuts how crazy Ali went, he was beating the piss out of him all mad like.

30 for 30 are some of the best shows ever. He deserved more money than he got and we don't even know how much that is. He seems like a really cool guy.

Brandon Jacobs (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/8524/brandon-jacobs) might return from a knee injury Sunday, but the running back ultimately believes he will have to leave the New York Giants (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/nyg/new-york-giants) to show what he can still do on the field.</p>

In an interview this week with Men's Fitness magazine, Jacobs voiced his frustration with his role.</p>

"I'm
just here, doing the best that I can do to help my team," Jacobs said.
"I come out to win; it's up to them whether or not they want to use me.</p>

"I
just can't wait to get a true opportunity to get out there and show
myself again, you know? Next year, hopefully. This is a business and you
have to look at it that way. I just want to get out there and show
myself. It's going to have to be for another team, but it is what it is.
It comes with the territory."</p>

</p>

<font color="#0000FF" size="4">When asked if he sees himself with the Giants beyond his current contract, Jacobs replied, "No, I don't."</font></p>

Jacobs, 29, is the backup to Ahmad Bradshaw (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/10693/ahmad-bradshaw), who re-signed with the Giants in August.</p>

"He's not being used as much as he can be, either," Jacobs said of Bradshaw. "It's a very confusing thing."</p>

After
practice Thursday, Jacobs walked into the locker room wearing a Michael
Myers "Halloween" mask" before talking to reporters. Jacobs reiterated
that he is frustrated with how he and Bradshaw are being utilized but he
wasn't as firm about leaving when his contract is up.</p>

"Being
an athlete, I want to go out and perform and be able to help my team,"
Jacobs said. "It is really aggravating and really frustrating. What can I
do? There are teams all over the league not really running the ball
well and backs aren't really getting the carries they normally get. I
can't do anything about it.</p>

"I just want to be happy," he
added. "That is where I want to start at -- I want to be happy and be
able to finish my career in the right way."</p>

When
asked if he is unhappy in New York, Jacobs replied, "Well I am not going
to say I am not happy. I am not happy with the way we are doing things
as a team offensively; we are not having enough snaps, period. Ahmad
isn't getting that many carries either. We just got to get what we get."</p>

Coach
Tom Coughlin and general manager Jerry Reese had said during the
offseason that they wanted to get Jacobs the ball more. But the Giants'
running game has struggled at times.</p>

Bradshaw, 25,
didn't have a 100-yard game until Week 6. Jacobs, who has missed the
past two games with a knee injury, is averaging 9.5 carries per game.</p>

Jacobs'
contract expires after next season. He restructured his deal during the
summer to help the Giants re-sign Bradshaw. Jacobs altered his base
salary for the 2011 season from $4.65 million to a base of $2.9 million,
but reportedly can make up the difference through incentives, but it
will be difficult without carries.</p>

"I don't regret
that at all," Jacobs said of taking the pay cut. "I am actually happy
that I did it. I just thought I would have a chance to get out there and
be able to play more. ... But it is what it is. It is a business."</p>

Jacobs
was due $4.9 million next season, but the Giants converted $500,000 of
it into a roster bonus that will be due in March, according to the
Newark Star-Ledger. The team will then have to make a decision whether
to retain the running back.</p>

When asked Thursday
about his future and whether he wants to leave for another team, Jacobs
said it depends on how this season goes.</p>

"It all
depends on how this year ends," Jacobs said. "However this year ends,
that's going to make this decision clear or not clear."</p>

Jacobs
only has had one game this season in which he has carried the ball more
than nine times; he had 16 carries for a season-high 50 yards against
St. Louis in Week 2.</p>

"I am sure he will have a lot
more fun being on the field with us this week," Bradshaw said. "Being
running backs, we want the ball all the time. I think that is where it
[the frustration] is coming from."</p>

Jacobs, who is
best friends with Bradshaw, is recovering from a sprained medial
collateral ligament. He practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday and
Thursday and expects to play on Sunday against Miami.</p>

"That
bye couldn't have come at a better time for me," said Jacobs, who
hasn't played since the Giants' win in Arizona on Oct. 2. "I ended up
missing two weeks. That third week, if we didn't have the bye, I would
have been good to go.</p>

"I felt good, felt explosive yesterday and today," he added. "I'm ready to get out there and get some snaps and play."</p>

In
the magazine interview, Jacobs also scoffed at the notion that he shies
away from contact after taking a lot of hits in the past.</p>

"There's
a lot of people that really don't know what they're talking about,"
Jacobs said. "First off, I don't really get a lot of chances to prove
(myself). As a back, you need to get out and get going, get a couple
carries. You know, get the pace of the game down. ... I don't get enough
carries to say I was part of anything, so people can say what the hell
they want to say."</p>

Last year, Jacobs initially was
unclear about his role behind Bradshaw until he sat down with Coughlin
to discuss his situation. Jacobs had 147 carries last season for 823
yards and nine touchdowns in 2010. In his previous three seasons from
2007-09, Jacobs received 202 or more carries per season.</p>

Jacobs isn't sure how many touches he will receive against Miami on Sunday.</p>

"I
have no idea, I am just here working hard," Jacobs said. "Whatever
happens, happens. I am not making any more [predictions]. ... When they
call my number, I'll be there. If they don't, fine."</p>

so Smith will almost certainly be playing elsewhere in 2012.Glad to hear that he most likely will not be an eagle next year. He coulda been a star and played Eli's go to guy for the rest of his career. Dip ****!

anybody every think that MArio is going to require a contract so big that we wont' be able to afford it and that Smith's value is down...

A very possible issue next year.

What's up with BJ? -I think he will play Sunday. Yesterday-he's limited in practice. They are going to boot a brace on his knee Sunday, but they think the knee is healthy. Sometimes it's a ***** to get a straight answer in this league on injuries.

What does that source you have say Matt?

whatever it doesn't bother me. We have to beat some teams of high caliber if we're going to win it all anyway

i'd rather be battle tested going into the playoffs. Time for some real football after this week

we just better not **** the bed this week.

And I think we will own the 49ers. I'm not sold or convinced about them at all

Bills signed QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to a six-year, $59 million extension with $24 million guaranteed.</p>
</div>
<div class="impact">
Fitzpatrick was making just $3.195 million this
year, the final season on the backup contract he signed in February of
2009. While the 29-year-old's talent is thoroughly unimpressive,
Fitzpatrick has Buffalo off to a 4-2 start, benefiting from coach Chan
Gailey's quarterback-friendly scheme. The Bills would be smart to
continue exploring the quarterback crops in upcoming drafts, because
Fitzpatrick is only a mediocre long-term solution. He's been prone to
fast starts and slow finishes in two seasons as the Bills' starter. The
new deal is exorbitant considering Fitzpatrick's physical skill set.

Alright so now you pissed off MMB and he left. Here's the story on this freak on Howard's Contest to find the biggest *****.

I almost crashed hearing this crap today--lmao.

She calls a dude's load sugar because she loves the way it tastes. She tatooed the word sugar and a schwantz near her snatch. She loves blowing guys, but actually has a physical obsession/need to do it a minimum of 3x a day. She has dudes on call for this schedule. She works a regular job and MUST blo a dude before work. She claims her head hurts if she's not sucking on something. She was married 2x, but only married them for the size of their loads. She does not accept drinks from guy's at bars-she prefers to blo them instead. She requests that her guy friends wack off into condoms, freeze their jizz and bring it to her to drink. She claims that she will not take the $10k prize money if she wins the contest, she just wanted everyone to know what a ***** she is.

eli is a ****ing studmuffin. that is all

cruz is the truth, eli looks comfortable throwing to him. mario had a great day

ballard looks great. hes always finding holes in the defense.

tuck looks rusty, or his neck is still bothering him. speaking of necks, kiwi has been a beast in the back field all season.

fewell is still trash and its going to be frustrating watching brady pick apart his cover 2. we need more 3 and outs.

Eli is making great decisions and managing the games well. Ballard=Awesome, that one drop was oh so freaking close.

Tuck said that he felt a bit rusty , but was happy to be on the field again. He said neck was fine. How about his face mask? lol

Fewell-The last two weeks, our defense is coming alive at the end of games and finishing. We need to dial it up sooner and keep merciless pressure on.

You got it Bro! I pulled into lot at 12:30, the latest I have every got to a game. Parking attendent was being a prick and made me park in further lot-added half mile to my walk. I was like, Dude-they let me in ALL THE TIME, I just got off the phone with my boy and my spot is waiting for me. He's starts whining how there is NO saving spots. I told him that he could LET me in, he was just being a **** and his giant's cap looked stupid. He did not appreciate.

I have no complaints with the defense getting it done at the end of games.

Got knocked back to the stone age with this storm. Best way to describe western mass is "war zone". What a year. Tornados. Hurricane and floods. And now this. In 53 years I,ve never seen devistation like this from a snowstorm. My power is back but still no internet. Didn't have power for the game but my neighbor let me plug into his genorator so I watched the game. Eli played very well and it was a good comeback. For matt to say he isn't playing better this year is nuts.
Don't miss me too much. This may be my only post for a while.

Didn't have power for the game but my neighbor let me plug into his genorator so I watched the game. Eli played very well and it was a good comeback. For matt to say he isn't playing better this year is nuts.
Don't miss me too much. This may be my only post for a while.

Its the magic of when your recievers produce for you. He improves every year and takes steps but he still is doing those things that u have killed him for, especially in pressure.

Our WRs were doing a great job of getting open yesterday as well.

When we were leaving game yesterday, these two girls were walking beside us. One girl looks at me and tells me that I have a really cool or good mustache. I immediately felt like Tom Selleck.

Now in my younger years, I would of immediately replied with "Well then, would you like a mustache ride?" but LT is getting old.

i'll tell ya- who would of thought having your recievers actually catch the ball and score TDs make such a difference instead of having them tip a ball up for interceptions

what a crazy world we live in

didn't he go on for weeks about Eli's left handed chuck last year....he does it again this week and Moreheads next response is "look how much better he's playing"

LOL....

Eli isn't playing that much better then before, you just were incorrect on what the problem was. It is clear now that it was the receivers causing the issue last year Morehead and the fact that Eli is playing the same but his numbers are so much better this year pretty much proves that me and Matt where right about that and you were plain wrong, you'll never admit it but I think you know it.

Is that really true, wide rec. ability has increased? I thought the same thing last year when I made a comparison to Plax being able to haul in pretty much anything good-poor-or mediocre that Eli threw to him.

The Giants just completed a comeback win at home to get to 5-2, two games up in the NFC East.</p>

Running back Brandon Jacobs (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3146/brandon-jacobs) thus decided to throw another (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/27/brandon-jacobs-doesnt-see-himself-with-the-giants-next-year/) turd in the punch bowl.</p>

“I’ve got nothing positive to say (http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/giants/post/_/id/8044/jacobs-still-steamed-with-reduced-role),”
Jacobs said after the win via ESPNNewYork.com. “The most positive
thing: I got family at home and I got a fast-*** car being delivered on
Tuesday. That’s it.”</p>

Jacobs had five touches in the game, which totaled ten yards. Most of that playing time came when Ahmad Bradshaw (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4305/ahmad-bradshaw) battled an injured foot.</p>

Jacobs seemed to realize that talking wasn’t going to help his cause.</p>

“Cause I can’t say nothing,” Jacobs said. “I always say something for everyone else’s dislike.”</p>

lol let there be 8 tipped balls for picks and then we'll see how much validity that holds

Take away Eli's garabge INTs and tipped balls and his numbers are VERY good last year. His "not taking care of the ball" was completely overblown

I think we are getting the Pats at the right time. Their D is in shambles. The run game is not all there either. Eli could tear them up. Not having Nicks will be big which most don't think we will. If we can pressure
Brady and get him uncomfortable we could do really well. I have had a good feeling about this game for a while. I truly think we beat them and get a huge boost of confidence before going to San Fran.

“It’s a very confusing thing. I’m just here, doing the best that I
can do to help my team,” Jacobs said. “I come out to win; it’s up to
them whether or not they want to use me. I just can’t wait to get a true
opportunity to get out there and show myself again, you know?</p>

“Next year, hopefully. This is a business and you have to look at it
that way. I just want to get out there and show myself. It’s going to
have to be for another team, but it is what it is. It comes with the
territory.”</p>

Jacobs was then asked if he saw himself with the Giants next year.</p>

“No, I don’t,” Jacobs said.</p>

</p>Who cares? Sounds to me like he is giving up on the team. He has checked out. Maybe that is why he played so poorly yesterday in the brief chances he got. Dropped a perfect pass, studder steps up to the line and just was not all there. It leaves a bad taste in people mouths. He just seems like he is turning into a different person. Plus he is creating a distraction in the locker room and for all we know amongst teammates.

He needs to take some lessons from Kiwi. That guy is the definition of a team player and quite possibly saved our defense.

Bj is fine. He's a great giant. When you have a knee injury its impossible to stay in football shape. Cut the kid some slack
We need him
His comments and attitude toward the team and his future scream I and not we.

It's a complete 180 from the Jacobs we all know and that is why people are so bitter. This is the same guy that took a paycut to keep Bradshaw. Sounds like he wishes he didn't.

it was a stupid thing to say, but in all hoensty he doubts he'll be back next year - who cares

he then came back with literally a no comment and people are trying to say that hes being a ****. It doesn't make sense

“It’s a very confusing thing. I’m just here, doing the best that I
can do to help my team,” Jacobs said. “I come out to win; it’s up to
them whether or not they want to use me. <font color="#0000FF" size="4">I just can’t wait to get a true
opportunity to get out there and show myself again, you know?</font></p>

that way. I just want to get out there and show myself.<font color="#0000FF" size="4"> It’s going to
have to be for another team</font>, but it is what it is. It comes with the
territory.”</p>

Jacobs was then asked if he saw himself with the Giants next year.</p>

“No, I don’t,” Jacobs said.</p>

To me, it sounds like he is saying...I can't do what I can here because I don't get a shot. Therefore I don't really care and will wait until next year and a new team to really show what I can do. Why not show that now? Why not want to try even harder and get more snaps? He is conceding that on this team he can't do what he thinks he can and is taking an attitude of why try...I will just wait until I get to my next team and show the Giants what they missed.

Eric Tarantino, California Surfer, Hospitalized After Shark Attack (VIDEO)

A surfer who was bitten in the neck last weekend by a shark at a
beach near Monterey, California is now recovering in the hospital. </p>

Eric Tarantino, 27, was only surfing for about 10 minutes at Marina State Beach (http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/surfer-recovers-shark-bite-off-calif-beach-14850239) before being attacked on the neck and forearm by a nine-foot shark, reports the Associated Press.</p>

Tarantino was saved by friends who were able to pull him out of the
water and stop his bleeding before he was airlifted to safety, according
to the video from "The Today Show." Tarantino had spotted the shark
prior to the attack but couldn't escape in time.</p>

The power of the shark, suspected to be a great white, is reflected in the images of Tarantino's surfboard (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/object/article?f=/n/a/2011/10/29/national/a140302D80.DTL&amp;object=%2Fn%2Fp%2F2011%2F10%2F29%2F 9b44d474-4ab5-44cb-bef5-2d2e93190b54.jpg&amp;type=health), which had a 19-inch gash in it following the attack.</p>

Four years ago, Tarantino's friend and fellow surfer, Todd Engris,
was attacked by a shark at the same beach. Engris told "The Today Show"
that the news of the attack on Tarantino "shakes me up." </p>

Schaub still has a bye week in 11. If im going to make that switch im going to have to upgrade somewhere else. I figure it would be a coin flip between the two of them on who will have the better week every week (romo n schaub) and I def consider DJax a downgrade to Miles

Good times....JJ was prob about 6'5" and 150lbs soaking wet, he had this pencil thin mustache and marveled himself the ladies man. My favorite were his facial expressions and his "What can I say" quote when he did good. I alway's thought Martin was built on the same premise as good times. Martin Lawrence turned into an amazing talent.

BJ is donezo at the end of the year. Running backs come a dime a dozen and he is an overpaid back up at this point. IMO, Management is going to let him walk, regardless of how he finishes the season.
