Eli hanging MM out to dry.</P>

Not cool at all.</P>

</P>

I didnt take it that way really...

Although I would expect Eli to hold players responsible for mistakes, as the leader of our team.
Publicly, not really obviously. But he was asked a question, and answered it, so i dont care really i guess</P>

</P>

No I just watched it and I agree with you. Guys here make it sound like Eli blamed MM for the pick. He didn't do that at all. MM tried to take the route back outside away from pressure and Eli thought he was going to cut it inside. This is the sight adjustment thing at work. </P>

The offense is designed for WR's to do what MM did. We scored a TD at Dallas when Nicks turned an in cut back outside and Eli hit him on his back shoulder.</P>

Honestly on this play this week, I think Eli should have thrown it away but I'm not killing him on it. </P>

I am blaming this specific pick on bad luck. The exact moment that MM faked inside was when Eli made the decision to throw the ball.</P>

MM did nothing wrong. Eli threw into coverage but I'm not killing him for it either. Maybe he thought MM could make a play.</P>

This is not the kind of play I have ever killed Eli for. Its the paniced throws in the face of a pass rush that have always driven me nuts.</P>

That kind of playis very few and far between this season.</P>

From how Eli talked about the play it seems as though the route Mario was running didn't have an option to it.

Not every route in every play has a built in sight adjustment to it.

just the other day you were telling me how thankful you were to have "hysterical" Scrappy back when talking about the Paterno subject (you know the one were you were supporting McQueary)

Our QB plays better every year...obviously everyone gets better with experience, but he's only making marginal increases now...he's already been very good for years (including last year) the real reason the passing game is flourishing this year is our receivers have made huge strides, they still make mistakes like Manningham did this week, but overall they are much better.

it goes along with his frantic mindset. Now that he has very little to knock eli for, all isn't okay in his world. He doesn't know if hes coming or going. Our QB plays better every year...obviously everyone gets better with experience, but he's only making marginal increases now...he's already been very good for years (including last year) the real reason the passing game is flourishing this year is our receivers have made huge strides, they still make mistakes like Manningham did this week, but overall they are much better.

Ben Roethlisberger broke his right thumb in last Sunday's win over the Bengals.</p>

Now there's reason for some concern. Although
Roethlisberger finished out the Cincy game without a problem and says he
will play when the Steelers come out of their bye, the damage is to his
throwing hand. That's always a tricky injury to play with, even if he's
fitted with some kind of glove or wrap.

dude, give it a rest. Bradshaw has underperformed all year, and Ware had 70 yards from srimmage this week, and that's with us playing from behind and passing all day. Fine in my book.

To me BJ running into the back of the O-Line is a good thing, I have no problem with him netting 2-3 yards when the O-line fails to create a hole for him to hit....I prefer that over Bradshaw trying to jump cut and run across the entire field and lose 3 yards in the process...or his studderstep head juke at the line while a linebacker/DE takes him down from behind.

neither are good but I'll take BJ over Bradshaw anyday.

BJ's problem is he tries to be like Bradshaw...he's starting to try and make people miss...and when he runs like that he sucks.

Your example discredits your remarks. Arian Foster was an undrafted project. And extreemly undisciplined.</p>

but we need a gamechanging RB like him....thus supporting my argument.
sure,i used those examples as things i would not want....but when it comes down to it, we need a STUD</p>

Bradshaw is a year from being in the second in league in rushes over 20 yards. The difference as to why Ware had MINIMAL success was because SFs game plan was to stop the pass and give ground on the run.

Its cute that ur in denial, but if Bradshaw was healthy last week it would of been a completely different game.

Jacobs and Bradshaw have very similar YPC numbers over their career...Jacobs is having an off year Bradshaw is having an average year...last year Jacobs was averaging 5.6 YPC but that wasn't impressive to anyone, this year Bradshaw averages 4.0 and we are supposed to be impressed? get off his Jock...neither are the future for our team...but as of right now Jacobs has had a better career.

Yes others took carries from him, there is no factual information in my post besides the fact that he had two 1000 yard season in which he carried the load and both season averaged 5.0YPC...so it's not like he couldn't/can't be good as the #1 he proved he could.

now whether or not he tries to be someone he's not because other guys are taking carries away from him...that's another topic..that's my opinion so it can't be factually inaccurate because I'm not using facts to support it

I never said he didn't have a bad year in 2009 matt, I said he had two 1000 yard season (2007-08) in which he averaged 5.0 YPC...what was factually inacurate about that?

I also presented an opinion, that Jacobs tries to run in a way that is not his style because he's always been afraid of bradshaw (or tiki or whatever) taking his job away...but there are no facts there to BE factually inaccurate, that's just my opinion.

You suggested that when bradshaw came and started taking carries away from Jacobs he started to not play good...

whats inaccurate about it is the fact that Bradshaw even TOOK carries away from Jacobs. Jacobs had his career high in 09 which was BRadshaws career high.

You mention last 2010 and Jacobs not getting enough credit and i'm on the same page as that with you as that. But the reality of it is that after his decline in 09, I think being the #2 back was what let him succeed. I still think hes valuable and can contribute - but he just can't be a feature back.

Infact he never even was.

Blah blah blah you are angry that my opinion on the reason Jacobs is running and has run poorly is that he's worried about someone taking his job (be it Tiki Bradshaw or Ware whoever)

I never presented "facts" to support my opinion on why Jacobs had bad years...I provided facts showing that he did have good years where he averaged 5ypc while carrying the load.

lol what am i angry about, just because i proved that one point u made wasn't true?

Just correcting you.

And while I do think ur conspiracy theory is silly, i could care less.

"his two 1000+ yard years he carried the majority of the load and yet
still average 5.0...he only started to suck when Bradshaw ate more and
more into his carries."

thats your copy and pasted qoute...

So lets go through how that is FACTUALLY INACCURATE

2009 - The first real year Bradshaw had a role for our team. Awful year by BJ, but also the year he had the most carries in his career. So there was no "CUTTING" into BJs carries. He actually had more of a role and didn't do as well..

2010 - the year we both agree that Jacobs had a sick year, this was the year that Bradshaw DID cut into his carries and he had some of the best averages of his life.

don't forget 09 while it says Bradshaw played 15 games he was HEAVILY limited the second half of the year because of his foot.

So the reality of it is that when we leaned on JAcobs to be the feature guy he didn't perform

There was "cutting" into BJ's carries in 2009 it was the first year it happened, Bradshaw went from 67 carries vs BJ's 219 carries in 2008 to 163 Carries for Bradshaw to 224 Carries for BJ

so no it's not factually inaccurate to say that BJ's woes first started in 2009 when Bradshaw WAS taking away carries from him, it doesn't matter that the overall amount of carries was higher for BJ...he took a lower percentage of the total carries.

2010 he had a sick year yes, but he was also the 2nd Back that year...Bradshaw was no longer "cutting into" his carries, he took his job already.

2008: Carries: Jacobs - 219, Ward - 182, Bradshaw - 67
2009: carries: Jacobs - 224, Bradshaw - 163, every other back combined - 35

FACTUALLY untrue that BRadshaw cut into BJs carries. As Bradshaw got promoted to the RB2 spot, he got less carries than the previous years RB2 got in WArd

Not to mention JAcobs carries actually went up

FINE!

Still Jacobs had 2 years where he had 1000 Yards Carried the Load and average 5.0-YPC that's more then you can say for Bradshaw any year, he's never really averaged over 5.0 - YPC for a season (need at least 100 Carries imho)

did stop it, not physically, but made sure it was stopped when I left
that locker room," The Morning Call reported.

Blow me Matt &amp; Daven...This kid will get his name cleared. Then we'll see what you say about Joe Pa. Then you guys can issue Morehead and myself a written apology. lol

well thats fine and like i said to you at the time, witht the facts given that was my opinion. If more facts came in i would apply them as they came in

BUT, also with this new information it should take even LESS off of Joe Pa. So the witness talked to the cops and he reported it. What more did u want Joe Pa to do? Go to the police again?

A source familiar with the state investigation of child sexual assault
allegations against Jerry Sandusky tells ESPN's Tom Rinaldi that Mike
McQueary stopped Sandusky's alleged rape of a 10-year old boy that
McQueary witnessed at a shower at the Penn State practice facility.

The
source characterized McQueary, a key witness in the case, as "credible"
and "consistent" in describing the events of the attack to
investigators.

In the email, first obtained and reported Tuesday by The
Morning Call of Allentown, Pa., <font color="#0000ff" size="4">McQueary said he "did have discussions
with police and with the official at the university in charge of police"</font>
after the alleged incident.

In the email, dated Nov. 8, McQueary said "I

Uhhhh, not let a child molesting devil have access to his campus, facilities, players and anyone else that he knows after this happened. Not support his charities and go to events with the guy. Maybe ask his friend and protege of 30 years if it was true or possibly talk to him about it. Not turn his back to the guy still bringing kids in and taking kids places. Maybe stand up for the morals and values that he said he believed in. I won't kill Joe Pa for not going to the police again because anyone could have once they saw nothing happened. All they did was take the guys keys away. Woooooooo!!! I also blame Joe Pa for not doing anything with the sick **** after hearing about the 2 kids previous to this one. Another cover up by the university. All this happened under his nose. He knew about all of it. He sacrificed kids safety for the benefit of his football program. It's a ****ing shame and horrid.

I havent seen many Jets fans flapping their gums recently at all lol.

It doesn't take much to realize that Sanchez isn't that good.
And even if you can't tell....you can notice one of 2 things:
1) he's either being limited, and only given the opportunity to make stupid little dump passes here and there.
or
2) he just isn't good and therefore can't do anything other than that....</P>

First off, did u ask him about Steve's? If you didn't then I hope your wife cooks your steak in Maggies Sauce tonight. Secondly, like I said its not a true run n gun. I've said many many times its like a hybrid balanced run n shoot.

The Run n Shoot offenses only characteristic WASNT only just whipping the ball around the field. The pre-snap motions was a big part of it as was the routes run by WRs. Both offenses have that on the fly reads which the passing game is pretty much based on.

Gilbride was a Run n Shoot baby, so while hes not running the truest form of it he absolutely took ALOT of characteristics from it.

Sanchez blows. It reminds me of anytime the mets had a shortstop they'd always try and say he was better than Jeter

I honestly can't stand to watch it anymore. The imbalance of conferences obviously is one big reason I hate it because you get ridiculous blowouts.
But at the same time, on occasion you get 2 teams that will go like 55-50 scores.....wtf?! how you ever heard of defense?!! Who wants to watch this ****?

well i would love to bring my points up to him. Because if he suggests that GIlbride isn't using components of the Run n Shoot then I think hes crazy.

You can't deny all of our presnap motion to try and read what a defense is doing ISNT directly from the Run n Shoot or the most basic proponent of on the fly routes at the magnitude we run them isn't another HUGE characteristic of the run n shoot.

Just because we don't run 4 wide all game, which is also an untrue stereotype of the run n shoot, and we do run the ball alot more - doesn't mean anything. Gilbride has meshed together Coughlins general philosophies with the run n shoot he has mastered over his time in the league.

I still can't believe I forgot to ask him about Steve's. Next time I will.</p>why are run and shoot wrs smaller? and why wouldnt they be able to play "regular nfl offense". a good wr, no matter how big, can play in any scheme imo.

BTW dezz - i didn't really go back and watch the film completely but i did rewatch the touchdowns we gave up

On the one to Vernon Davis - Greg Jones covered the wrong guy in man and Vernon Davis ran completely open. Also how sick of a jump was that by VD? I watched that play a couple of times, Phillips caught him in the air as he was still going up and im pretty sure he could of dunked on a 12 foot rim

The second one where they ran it in was COMPLETELY on Paysinger. Had he been aggressive and shot the gap he could of had that back (forget which it was) for a tackle at the LOS

Truth of the matter is that we got beat defensively in man to man WAY more than anything. And if u really think that SF's offense is that bad - maybe u have your answer as to why we play zone more than you'd like

alrite im out - got to go get a tooth pulled at lunch (joy). Then I get to follow up with another visit tom for a root canal

haha as soon as kp caught him im like "nooooo hit him low, take his friggin legs out."

we were getting beat in zone as well. if boley was out there he wouldnt of blow his assignment and man would work. man works better than zone. thats for damn sure.
id rather get beat in man coverage every now and then than running zone and having the likes of grossman, whitehurst...............EVERY QB WE FACE pick us apart and not being able to get off the field.

are your jets friends finally starting to get on sanchez?lol its like boomer woke up monday, went to work and said" attention all jet fans, marc sanchez is now ****" almost every jet fan i talk to now magically wants him gone. its funny.
</p>

</p>

He's not. He's been coddled andprotected by a great O line, but he's still very inconsistent. Plus I think he's a clown.</p>

</p>

I'm not sure why everyone bought into the whole "Sanchez is the only NFL ready QB in the draft!" thing. The dude played like 10 games for USC. not even a full season, i know that much.</p>Nice to see this turkey exposed. Jet's suck

There are still run n shoot route trees in the NFL, as well as NCAA concepts, air coryell, etc. All teams have some form of these route combinations in their playbooks. Some teams just like some more than others. Whether it be because of personnel or coaching preference.

Either one is scary. The Ravens D is going to be angry coming off that loss. I think you are right however. The Jets will put everyone in the box and make Tebow throw it.

I got my eye on you, your schedule is favorable and I think you might sneek into the 2 seed. I am hoping I can win this week and then have to play Pats and Lawl. Those are both going to be tough. Your road is alot easier than mine but I guess I just need to win out and make things easy on myself.

Back in the day when I got the wisdom teeth out it did not stop me. Left a ****ty taste in your mouth when the gauze got tainted with smoke. A little asian dentist is not going to cut it, it's brutal to get a tooth out the way MMB just did. The doc has to have some gusto behind his pull.

My job is starting this huge gustapo initiative that begins tomorrow. No more smoking on CU property.
And in our IBM locations you cant even smoke on their property. lol, not sure how they can enforce that.

It's not a huge deal at my branch, because the SIDE of our building is on a sidewalk, so i dont have to go far behind the buliding at all.
But we have designated smoking areas already, we're not bothering anyone.Im not sure why they are doing this.
I don't tell people they cant eat meat while at work, or can't drink water while here. lol
Plus, when someone tells you ya can't do something...what's the first thing you want to do? haha</P>

Just applying a little logic here. If he has a broken bone and can't play, doesn't that mean he has to wait until it completely heals? You can't say that "its healed enough",,can you? At least not without risking re-breaking the bone.</P>

Bob Papa just made a general football statement that makes you think: home field advantage isn't what it use to be.

many different theories.

-The Economy, not as many seats, more opposing fans
-The rules have changed so much to help the offense that the offense can keep up and less pressure
-all teams have bubbles and can better prepare for road games with noise
-PSLs, resteraunts, different kind of fans (more wine and cheese fans as they said)
-bigger general stadiums. Attendance size is the same, but buildings are are bigger - noise escapes

Had 9 teeth out in one sittingsome were so bad the doc used this thing that looked like a pistol..he placed it on the tooth he wanted to loosen and pulled the trigger...bam!! it was a spring loaded ram... "there he say that should do it" then he ripped the tooth out and did it to another one...two weeks later I went back for removal of nine more...it was long walk up them steps to that chair...need less to say Ididn't havemany teeth left after the second sitting...he finished me off two weeks later taking the remaining up front9 now that hurt I spit jaw bone and blood for weeks... chain smoking cigs and drinkingbeer probable saved my life....holes everywhere in there...</p>

I don't miss them teeth one bit and don't have to see a dentist ever again...brutal guy that dentist he'd always say " how you doing today tiger" and I'd say in my mind **** youDoc.... as he commenced to rip and tear... true story</p>

moral of the story take of your teeth...I didn't /couldn't or wouldn't /not sure which played the biggest part....oh well... these things bother me I just take 'em out.....</p>

</p>

sweeeeet. i caught espn before i left for work this morning and it was about how the eagles locker room is in chaos. a lot of players are pissed at desean for missing the meeting. aka being a ***** about his contract. asante smaual blasted the front office and said "its like they were playing fantasy football before the season began" lol

Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post asked Steve Smith if he regrets leaving the Giants for the Eagles. Smith's response? "Oh, no. I'd rather have more money in my pocket."

</P>

And to think there are fans on these boards who want him back next season. </P>

I was done with him the second he signed that contract with the Eagles. </P>
