i know its br but its a pretty decent article.

its a stupid ****in article. Offenses game plan so that they can get matchups with their WRs on LB. What LBs can cover a small fast WRs. Im going to have to rewatch that.

But to say he should have his hand in the ground is stupid, Kiwi has been ballin out at LB.

Verlander received 13 of 28 first-place votes and 280 points in voting announced by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Ellsbury was second with 242 points (4 first-place votes, 13 second-place votes). He hit .321 with 32 homers, 105 RBIs, 39 stolen bases and 119 runs scored, all career highs. His .928 OPS ranked him in the top 10 in the majors.

He became the first Boston player to hit 30 homers and steal 30 bases in a season and led the major leagues with 364 total bases and 83 extra-base hits. He was third in the AL with 212 hits, and tied for third in runs and doubles. In the field, the speedy Ellsbury did not make an error in 394 chances last season, the only center fielder in the AL and one of just two in the majors who did not make an error while playing at least two-thirds of his team's games.

It stands to reason that voters might have been impacted by the September collapse of the Red Sox, asking themselves how they could vote for a player whose team blew the biggest final-month lead in baseball history.

“We all know Verlander’s year was pretty incredible with his numbers and he deserves the attention he’s getting,” 2008 AL MVP Dustin Pedroia told ESPNBoston.com. “He had an unbelievable season, but in my opinion, he pitched 34 games and Ells played 158, so I think if a pitcher should win it he should impact, in those 34 games, in an extraordinary amount of the time and he did that, no question. But Ells impacted a lot more than 34 games for our team.

“But that’s why it’s fun for everybody. Everybody can say, ‘pitchers should win it,’ or ‘pitchers shouldn’t win it.’ It’s fun for the fans, it’s fun for the media and it’s fun for everybody. But it’s pretty difficult to see a guy finish second. It kind of stinks.”</P>

If Papelbon doesn't blow that save and if the Yankees hold a 7 run lead in the 8th inning on the last day of the season, Ellsbury would be the MVP. And who is really to say if Jacoby Ellsbury or Verlander are the MVP?</P>

This is the folly of awards. It could be the MVP, the golden glove, the superbowl MVP, the Hall of Fameetc... It doesn't matter because the awards really don't matter. They are popularity contests of writers who don't play the game and many never have. They don't change or even define what happens on the field. The only thing that matters is what we see on the field. the only thing that matters is the performances we see as we apply our own standards. That is the ultimate reality. That is the ultimate truth.</P>

</P>

I wouldnt dispute your points really. I KNOW how the story goes. I just want consistency with how voting SHOULD be done.

Like I said earlier yesterday (In regards to AL specifically), Verlander had 24-25 good games...and to be even more fair, lets take the games where he took NDs were good games also...lets say 30 games or something....
So 30 games in 2011, Just Verlander was good! Really good!

Look at the other possible candidates: Ellsbury, Granderson, Miggy, Cano, A-Gon, Bautista(im using all of them for my next point)...

I'm not doing the rsearch, but i bet they all played over 120 games.
120 games where clearly they played really good baseball, statistically.

By my own personal definition of what the MVP should be.....it's the player who has demonstrated the best overall performance over the entire season.
If Verlander only pitches in 34 games, I cant gauge an entire season's performance on 34 games. Where as Ellsbury, Granderson, etc.....I CAN!

I apologize if I'm not making a ton of sense....its hard for me to explain really lol</P>

isn't most valuable player self explanatory?

A pitcher can be the most valuable player to a team. It was shown

Great job by the voting committee.

They got this one right

Pitchers suit up. (they actually give them uniforms). They contribute. They collect a paycheck. To omit starting pitchers from consideration is silliness.</P>

If the Sox had gotten into the playoffs it should have been Ellsbury. Since they didn't, it had to be Verlander. the guy was 24-5 for God's sake.</P>

what if someone like...idk, Nick Markaikis on the Orioles hit like .320 with 40 HRs and 130 RBIs, yet his team still lost 100 games.
are those not MVP worthy numbers despite not technically helping his team win?

All the MVP candidates were most valuable to their team basically this year....so, how is that your only argument.
Pitchers should never be MVPs. EVER. Part time players like ptichers have their own awards. Keep it seperate.</P>

theres nothing i can dispute with what u just said pappy

Thats the other thing, out of the qualifying teams that COULD of had the MVP, there was no other real dominant batter either. I mean the closest person in my eyes was Miggy

the golden rule is that it has to be a competitive team or the numbers have to be astronomical

That doesn't meet the criteria. If there wasn't this golden rule then Bautista would of been MVP hands down.

They may only take the field 30 or so times/year. But when they do, they are by far, the most important player in the game for your team.</P>

We can argue until we are blue in the face about it, but the bottom line is that without Verlander, the Tigers are mediocre at best. To me, that impact, is the bottom line. Pitcher or not.</P>

my point is, they have a separate award. I've never been on board with the pitchers in the voting.
A batter can't win a cy young. the only other award for EVERY DAY PLAYERS is based on your batting average only, so...
MVP should only be for hitters, OR just nix the cy young altogether.

I cant believe im actually defending the fact that Ellsbury should have been the clearMVP....lol
aaaaaaand it also took more votes away from Granderson ;) hehe</P>

Cy Young is for pitchers because pitchers need to have a perfect storm to ever be considered MVP... it was this year.

There was no hands down AL MVP batter so I don't even know why ur up in arms about this

Pizz...the MVP is not the award for "everyday players". Its the award that <U>you think</U> should only go to "everyday players". Thats a big difference.</P>

There is nothing stated or even implied that the MVP should never go to a starting pitcher.</P>

My view is that it should go to a player who has a tremendous impact on his team's success. The higher consideration being given to the teams in contention. Generally, that should go to an everyday player in my view. But when the impact of a starting pitcher is so great, as it is with Verlander, and there are no other obvious choices from everyday players, he should get the award.</P>

i really don't mind not including teams that dont make the playoffs. Who cares if a player is the most valuable to a team that does nothing.

ok, well then I guess I'm in a different argument completely. I'm not saying you guys are wrong, I just think that a pitcher winning MVP makes the award a joke. In my eyes, pitchers shouldnt win MVPs.

I'll never understand the way things go really with the awards, but this is the first time I've disputed something like this with a real opinion.

Oh, except the year Pedroia won MVP...THAT was a ****ing joke. The year before, Jeter was better in every category, and didn't get consideration for the award. A travesty! a sham! a mockery! A TRAVESHAMOCKERY!~!!!</P>

Coach Tom Coughlin did not sound optimistic Monday about getting Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) back this week.</p>

Bradshaw has not been medically cleared to resume

Nooooooooo ****. Fastest ever to 20+ TD's. Crazy. To think that no one had this guy on the fantasy radar. Pats was just sitting there waiting knowing exactly what he was getting. lol

If I beat him next week and Blondie beats you I clinch the 2 seed. I have been so lucky this year. Almost everyone has more points than me. lol

You have some tough RB match ups. I am hoping that trade worked out for her to demolish you!!!

i know its br but its a pretty decent article.

its a stupid ****in article. Offenses game plan so that they can get matchups with their WRs on LB. What LBs can cover a small fast WRs. Im going to have to rewatch that.
<u>
But to say he should have his hand in the ground is stupid, Kiwi has been ballin out at LB.</u>
i like kiwi as a linebacker but youre missing the main point of the article.

"It may sound like I'm ripping on Kiwanuka, but my real problem lies with defensive coordinator Perry Fewell.</p>

Fewell
doesn't understand that this big, cumbersome linebacker is not made to
cover in space and is certainly not meant to be anywhere but the line of
scrimmage unless he's in the backfield making a tackle.</p>

Kiwanuka
is a talented football player and I think he did a fantastic job against
the run Sunday night. I just don't see him as a linebacker going
forward, especially in this Cover 2 that the Giants like to run.</p>

Look
for this trend to continue as the season goes on and be on the lookout
for pass-rushing linebackers misplaced in some sort of zone coverage for
the rest of the year."</p>

The young Giant "linebacker" is really a defensive end and belongs on
the line of scrimmage with his hand in the dirt, rushing the
quarterback.</p>I know, the Giants have Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora
and Jason Pierre-Paul, but at least make sure that the guys out there
to cover receivers can actually cover receivers

---

Kiwi may be playing his best football in the NFL this year. Please tell me, how many LBers ever could cover recievers?

I don't here him praising Kiwi for the times he was actually good in coverage, like when they motioned McCoy out and tried to run a slip screen.

Former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer recently offered a critique (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/11/21/jake-plummer-wishes-tim-tebow-would-cut-down-on-the-religion-talk/) of current Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5096/tim-tebow),
not because of the way Tebow plays the game but because of the way
Tebow expresses his religious beliefs before, during and after every
game. Today Tebow responded.

“If you’re married, and you have a wife, and you really love your wife,
is it good enough to only say to your wife, I love her, the day you get
married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and
have the opportunity? And that’s how I feel about my relationship with
Jesus Christ,” Tebow said. “It is the most important thing in my life,
so every opportunity I have to tell him I love him, or I’m given an
opportunity to shout him out on national TV, I’m going to take that
opportunity.”

“I look at it as a relationship I have with him, I want to
give him the honor and glory every time I get the opportunity,” Tebow
said. “And then after I give him the honor and glory I always try to
give my teammates the honor and glory, and that’s how it works. Because
Christ comes first in my life, and then my family, and then my
teammates. I respect Jake’s opinion, and I really appreciate his
compliment of calling me a winner, but I feel like every time I get the
opportunity to give the Lord some praise he is due for it because what
he did for me, and what he did on the cross for all of us. I really
appreciate his opinion and I respect him, but I still will give all the
honor and glory to the Lord because he deserves it.”

It's just not feasible man...there's always going to be at least 1 mismatch on the field.
And Matt is right, there's no such thing as a LB who can effectively cover a WR.

You want different schemes, but it probably wouldnt even matter because we are thin, at least in my opinion. Kiwi moved back to LB out of necessity, and our depth at DE. That's not to say we cant use him there, but we dont need to. It's pretty awesome that if you were to break down our DEs...Osi, Tuck, JPP, and lets say Kiwi....Kiwi is probably the worse of the 4 pass rushers. And he's good, so that's why he's "expendable". That's not the point of this argument or anything, but i was just thinking about that lol</P>

West Ham hasn't won the cup since the mid 70s lol</p>yea as a fifa guy i like man u as well. i ask because about two weeks ago on a saturday morning espn aired a man u game, forgot who they were playing but it was very entertaining. i was shocked i was enjoying it as much as was. but its always good to broaden the horizon.

This guy....

Thats fine, but if ur also all over ur wife's **** and tonguing her down in public it is still obnoxious. There should be death penalties for couples whose public displays of affection is frequent thing.

But either way, why is Jake Plummer being asked about anything wtih th eBroncos. He was almost as hated as Dave Brown was here. Never understood why though. Always thought he was pretty good.

The young Giant "linebacker" is really a defensive end and belongs on the line of scrimmage with his hand in the dirt, rushing the quarterback.</p>

I know, the Giants have Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora and Jason Pierre-Paul, but at least make sure that the guys out there to cover receivers can actually cover receivers

---

<u>Kiwi may be playing his best football in the NFL this year. Please tell me, how many LBers ever could cover recievers?</u>

I don't here him praising Kiwi for the times he was actually good in coverage, like when they motioned McCoy out and tried to run a slip screen.
why arent you getting this? other than kiwi as a de the writer is agreeing with you. he wants better plays to be called with the personal we are using.
</p>

And he's good, so that's why he's "expendable".<u> That's not the point of this argument or anything, but i was just thinking about that lol</u></p>are you guys reading the article? it was ross' zone. there was a miscue, as usual with this defense.

thank you for confusing matt even more. lol

im not sure I agree that Kiwi is the worst out of all 4 because before he got hurt last year he looked like the best. Don't know if u guys remember that

I've watched that play ten folds... Kiwi got a late jump on the cross route, that was absolutely on him

This is the state of Chris Johnson in Week 11 of the 2011 season. As hesitant at the line as any back I’ve ever seen, Johnson is arguably the worst in the NFL right now.

The Giants have no shortage of worries, obviously, but a scout from
another team tells me center David Baas is continuing to grade out the
lowest of any Big Blue lineman on an almost weekly basis – which is
saying something, considering how massively left guard David Diehl’s
performance has fallen off. Baas, you’ll recall, was GM Jerry Reese’s
only prominent free-agent addition in the offseason, landing a
five-year, $27 million deal to leave the 49ers. The former Michigan
standout has given the Giants little return on that big investment so
far, as witnessed by the team’s NFL-worst 3.2 yard average rush through
10 games. With little to no push inside from Baas (or Diehl, for that
matter), Giants running backs have been forced to bounce outside for
yards. That fits the style of a quick back like Ahmad Bradshaw, but it’s
a recipe for disaster with Bradshaw sidelined and the lumbering,
single-direction Brandon Jacobs getting most of the carries. It should
also be noted that San Francisco’s running game is even better after
Baas’ departure. Coincidence? And as everyone saw Sunday night when the
Eagles often pressured Eli Manning with nothing more than a four-man
rush, Baas’ pass-protection skills are lacking, too. Reese has a deft
touch with the draft and is usually spot-on in veteran free agency, but
Baas is looking like an expensive whiff so far......Tom Coughlin
indicated Monday that Bradshaw is unlikely to make his self-predicted
return this week at New Orleans, it’s difficult to see what the Giants
coach could lose by starting rookie Da’Rel Scott against the Saints
instead of Jacobs (who looks downright useless now) or D.J. Ware, who
suffered a concussion against the Eagles. Not only did Scott show some
much-needed speed in the preseason, but the Saints rank just 19th in the
league in run defense by giving up an unsightly 121.5 yards per game.
Scott also looked good on the first two carries of his career last
Sunday, averaging 5.5 yards per pop. It’s difficult to imagine Scott
faring any worse against New Orleans than Jacobs’ 21 yards on 12 carries
versus Philly

Here's the paper's description of the future of "augmented reality":</p>
<blockquote>

Wearable computing will likely provide new ways to manage
information and interact with the world. For example, personal
see-through devices could overlay computer-generated visual information
on the real world, providing immediate, handsfree access to information.
The ?rst step toward always-accessible information and superimposed,
data-rich imagery will most likely be implemented in see-through
eyeglass displays. Ultimately, a much less cumbersome display for
augmented reality may take the form of a contact lens.</p></blockquote>

The lenses, they say, could communicate with other gadgets to send and receive information:</p>
<blockquote>

In the future, contact lens systems may receive data from
external platforms (e.g. mobile phones) and provide real-time
notification of important events. As contact lens based biosensors
advance, they may alert the wearer of physiological anomalies, such as
irregular glucose or lactate levels. With more colors and increased
resolution, contact lenses may display text, be used with gaming
devices, or offer cues from navigation systems. Our long-term goal is to
create a display that can be comfortably worn in the form of a contact
lens, which will include a pixel array, focusing optics, an antenna, and
circuitry for power harvesting, radio communication, and pixel control.</p></blockquote>

</p>

yea, everyone i know who watches the show, thinks that despite last week's ending, Opie will not be the one to do the deed. I kiiiinda hope he is, cuz he's one of my favorite characters, and he's had his life ruined by samcro MULTIPLE times yet is still loyal.
I also kinda wish that there wasnt so much going on at once. I feel like the writers might sacrifice the quality of one story to show you what happens in another.</p>

i was listening to Ope And ANthony yesterday and they got on the topic of how Sopranos ended. <u>Apparently a few years ago the writer came out and said Tony didn't die.</u>

Then a caller called up and said that he did die. Season 3 Tony said he'll probably die fast by some ******* with a MEMBERS ONLY jacket on. Apparently the guy that walked into the bathroom in that scene had a members only jacket...

I know its random but it sparked in my head when u said that the writers of SOA have too much **** going on. That was constantly how Sopranos was.

reeeallly?
what idiot thought that ending was a good idea. just confused everyone.

you have GOT to read everything ion that link i just posted. Blondie never watched sopranos so we're gonna go back and watch them all and im going to point **** out to her so that when we get to the finale it will all make sense

Carlos Rafael stands next to the 881-pound tuna caught by his fishing crew. Rafael and his crew were using nets to catch bottom-dwellers when they
inadvertently snagged the giant tuna. However, federal fishery
enforcement agents took control of the behemoth when the boat returned
to port. The reason for the seizure was procedural: While Rafael had the
appropriate permits, fishermen are only allowed to catch tuna with a
rod and reel. Rafael is denied the mother of all fish stories, the federal
impoundment of his catch also means he's probably losing out on a giant
payday. A 754-pound tuna recently sold for nearly $396,000.

I told you yesterday Rolle is the guy that tries to get everyone fired up. I love his honesty and you know he's a fighter. I love the guy.

Also, why do we have this letdown against the Eagles of all teams and VY. They should have been foaming at the mouth to get to them. Especially after last year, then we let them come in our building and do it again!!!
</div>

Then stop slapping players on the helmet after a big play. talk ****, get in people faces rolle! he sounds like a BIG hypocrite, i NEVER seen him get in anybodies face! and corey should of grabbed desean by the faskmask* and bullrush his tiny *** after he tossed the ball to fewell. these guys sound exactly like the eagles after they lost to us, crying and whining. get your **** together!
</p>

Stop hating on my football team.</p>im not hating, im frustrated. even after they lost to the redskins rolle said "ohhh we didnt have intensity today". its opening day, what kind of cop out is that?? hes a good player, but nut up or shut up

Rolle has been playing good this season so he should be getting a pass from you guys

IMO I dont mind guys that talk some smack rather than just rolling over and being 'vanilla'. They're humans too, they can get a little emotional and show how they feel

I get where you are coming from TC is a little bit to strict, which is why not many players are willing to play for him. He needs to yell at his team for not getting pumped at how Eli was being man handled out there. Now fewell in the other hand seems to have his defensive players behind him because rolle even said if he saw jackson do what he did to fewell then jackson would of been knocked out. We'll see in the mean time I will root this team on no matter what

Also, why do we have this letdown against the Eagles of all teams and VY. They should have been foaming at the mouth to get to them. Especially after last year, then we let them come in our building and do it again!!!
</DIV>

Then stop slapping players on the helmet after a big play. talk ****, get in people faces rolle! he sounds like a BIG hypocrite, i NEVER seen him get in anybodies face! and corey should of grabbed desean by the faskmask and bullrush his tiny *** after he tossed the ball to fewell. these guys sound exactly like the eagles after they lost to us, crying and whining. get your **** together!
</P>

Stop hating on my football team.</P>

im not hating, im frustrated. even after they lost to the redskins rolle said "ohhh we didnt have intensity today". its opening day, what kind of cop out is that?? hes a good player, but nut up or shut up
Rolle has been playing good this season so he should be getting a pass from you guys IMO I dont mind guys that talk some smack rather than just rolling over and being 'vanilla'. They're humans too, they can get a little emotional and show how they feel

rolles been invaluable for us this year

i love the fact that hes saying this passion BUT it better be backed up
Rolle and Boley have been our most physical football players out there this year and Im pretty sure rolle has been playing in a Corner rolle since we were thin on corners. He backs up the talk all the time when hesout there. We Need To Rush The Qb Better..

yea but the quotes today go beyond play - it was about not being punked. We let Eli get hit, let them celebrate hurting Ware, and let them throw the ball at Fewell's head. Forget the football game, they failed with the emotion as men.

Can u imagine what would of happened if this was LT's Giants? Im pretty sure DJax's career would of been ended
Did'nt Snee get in someones face after that hit on Eli? Then TC through him under bus for it.....if this team is soft its TC's doing... he's got/likes everybody under his thumb they get emotional he snuffs it out he needs to go....I don't get that people don't see what he's done here he breaks their spirit those he can't break end up out of here.....jesus christ he so needs to be out of here...come on man!! I dont know man but if we don't make the playoffs then the off season should be very interesting to say the least. We'll see in the mean time <FONT color=#0000ff>I will root this team on no matter what</FONT> Like wise.. its all Iknow ....when it comes to TC I'll hold the door for himon his way outso it don't hit him in the ***..... I've had enought these break downs and drama</P>

So I was actually thinking about this last night...
Could it be that teams don't view Tuck as a threat due to his injuries and poor play, and are there for concentrating on Osi and the DTs? When you think about it, it's kind of incredible how many sacks we have despite the production from Tuck.
Idk, maybe im being hard on him, but the guy missed a few games to rest the injuries and still hasnt done much of anything. Although I will give him some credit for containing McCoy on the outside runs last week. it helped.</P>

Prior to Sunday's game he had 10 tackles and 2 sacks on the year. I think that the d-line plays off of each other. When one goes down our whole scheme suffers up front.

All the players know what needs to be fixed and they will tweak a few things and everything will be wonderful again., I think Eli may be on drugs, just kidding. He is a spokesperson for the team, he says the politically correct thing when he's suppossed to as instructed by the front office.

Eli should of got his squad together Sunday night and asked what kind of bull**** that was when he get's a late hit from philly **** that his entire team does not stand up for their QB, their home stadium and themselves.

It made me think about this:
I'm going to hire a babysitter...despite not having any kids. I will tell her "my daughter is upstairs asleep already. Dont wake her, but, if she does get up, just put her back to bed."
I will go out drinking for a few hours, and upon my return, i will go upstairs for a minute, race back down and start screaming, demanding to know where my daughter is!

Yea...I know...you dont have to say it....

Ohhhh maaaaaaaan was I. I looked at my wife and said you have got to be kidding me. Great job by the Cheifs D Line. Also had Edleman not ran that punt back I would have lost to. I got very lucky! lol

A) Hmmmm, funny she would put this as her FF comments "this isnt even fun...<font color="#0000FF"> matt is never drafting a team for me again</font> lol"

B) Every team in the league would have beat me last week so that is not saying much

C) I hope that trade allows her to beat MH like you said. It would be great.

I didn't have any injuries this year Matt. Last week was my first time and I still got the W. I had a crappy draft decision with my first pick. Lucky the rest of my draft and GM skills allowed me to hang in there while having that scrub on my team. AP might play this week anyway.

He'll play. He came back in the game and was fine. I think it just got tight on him.

Oh, i dont know if I told you guys this!
Over the spring, some local radio station was giving away Nickelback tickets or something. I dont listen to the radio really, but my coworker mentioned it, so I went on their website to find out details cuz i had an idea.
It was one of these things where you call in, answer a question, and youre put in a group of ppl who "qualify" for the tickets later on. Well, I won the first round thing on the air.
I didnt end up winning, but i really wanted to, because when they do the whole announcement thing, I thought it would be funny to accept the tickets, and take a lighter out of my pocket and burn them right there in front of everyone. lol
best publicity stunt ever lol.....well, that and I love pissing ppl off lol

Lando-Nice win Sunday. I bet our game was a lot closer than you thought it would end up? lol.

It was scary, I thought I was done. Thanks, I think...lol
</p>

I told you it was 50/50. Were you sweating when BJGE got a carry on the 1 yard line at the end of the game?</p>

You were lucky, but thats the way it goes. You will be dealt with by FTU in the end.</p>
Ohhhh maaaaaaaan was I. I looked at my wife and said you have got to be kidding me. Great job by the Cheifs D Line. Also had Edleman not ran that punt back I would have lost to. I got very lucky! lol

1 week at a time MH. If I am lucky enough to play your team in the playoffs we will go from there. That being said you might get Pizz'd again and not even see me.

GO BLONDIE!!!

oh i forgot to mention --- blondie wnated me to point out to u that she scored more than u this week

#ouch

Tell Blondie she can thank the person who drafted her team for that. She can also thank that person for all the wins.

A) she can thank herself, i went off her draft lists

B) she still would of beat u last week

C) The trade made her an extra 10.2 points last week

I actually hope she loses out cuz I want u first round. Then just like I ge tno credit for injuries last year, you'll get none for this year....

AP might play this week anyway.

and that thoroughly changed from right after the draft when you guys all said i drafted her a better team than i did myself and when she said it sucks becuase if she does good everyone will think it was me and not her

"I don’t take nothing back I said about the fans," Jacobs said. "I don’t think I said anything bad about them."</p>

"We go out there and we play hard and do whatever we got to do. It’s
up to them whether or not that they want to boo. And that’s what they
do. So that’s what we got cheering for us. No, I don’t take anything
back I said about not caring because at the end of the day, we’re out
there as a team and it seems like we are playing at home and we’re out
there by ourselves as well versus playing on the road. We just gotta
stick together as a team and whatever comes with the territory as far as
boos and that’s what they wanna do, that’s what they do." </p>“They’re great when you’re up … and they kick you when you’re down,”

“I am misunderstood by a lot of people," he later said. "But that’s just life. That’s just the way things go.”</p>

Jacobs is averaging just three yards per carry (90 carries for 274
yards) and three touchdowns this season. As a team, the Giants rank last
in the league in yards per carry (3.2).</p>

werent you upset with what peyton said to simms the other week...........

youve been around long enough to know running your mouth to the media becomes a distraction.

</p>

Whatd he say!!?!?!? i want to know!!!!!</p>

</p>

It was nothing. Simms suggested on Inside the NFL that Peyton would not allow the Colts to draft Luck. Phil thought about it, realized he shouldn't have said that, and being the man that he is, he called peyton personally and apologize. Peyton supposedly told Phil that he didn't even know he said it.</p>

I'm not sure what Dez thinks I was supposed to be upset about there.</p>cause you responded " you mess with phil, you mess with mh."

Well hating and or critisingplayersaround here seems normal to me....its mesage board for opions and debate what fun would it be without all this...why on earth would anyone let any of this **** get to them.......What would we had done without all the eli hate/love around here.....I don't fall in love with many players I root for them while they are here...I don't ikemouthy players and I have said this many times in the past....That being said I doubt I'd ever boo at a game kind of counter productive....I do my fair share of *****ing aftera bad gametho

well yea youre right...it's the internet....ppl are MUCH more likely to ***** and moan and complain on the internet then they would in person. everyone knows that.</P>

I'm being a wise *** JP should have put it in red I guess.... tagf has been the way it is since I have been cominghere if anything its gotten worst...and I'm just as much a part of the problem as anyone ....I do try to be strait up when I post...but I do have my failings when I'm pissed...</P>

BJ has his when he is pissed....he uses the media .....end of the day there are repercussions in either format no mater who you are or what you do.....your gonna be judged</P>

i like jacobs too but he needs to shut the **** up with this war of the fans.

The fact that he thinks the team shouldn't of been booed after the let downs we've had is like denial

</p>

Why on earth do you care what he says in the media? I will never get you guys who place such a high importance on that.</p>

werent you upset with what peyton said to simms the other week...........

Distracting to who? The fans? Who gives a ****.</p>

<u>I promise you, you will not find one of BJ's teammates who agrees with you.</u></p>

None of this effects anything that happens on the field. </p>

If the O line gives BJ a little room to get some momentum to make plays he will succeed. If they don't, he won't. Nothing thats said in the media will change that.</p>

For 7 years..this has always been true. And he's become the 5th all time Giants rusher as a product.</p>how would you know?

and i think it does have an effect. watch how loud giants fans will boo the next home game if bj fails to produce. all because he opened his mouth. bj wears his emotions on his sleeve, you can see hes frustrated out there and more booing will only add to it. ill never boo him though, breaking the light in dallas hell always have a place in my heart.

im not upset with him talking to the media, im annoyed that he takes shots at the people that cheer him on and buy his jerseys and showhim love.

Like the crowd booing, really doesn't happen unless deserved in most cases - could we at least agree to that? Like your suppose to be smoe big tough guy trying to fight people after every play. Like have some tougher skin. Why are u even addressing the fans, u guys have failed miserably since 07. Granted a Superbowl lasts forever, but 4 years of the same self destruction has mounted with the fans.

If they give us an OUNCE of good we cheer. christ man, he had like a 3 yard gain at one point btu it was probably his second hardest run of the night and he got cheers. Granted its NY and fans are typically ignorant but your almost biting the hand that feeds you.

Do you think the players that have been here as long as him view it the same as we do? Like, do they see it as a collapse every year? or do they just see it as straight up losing?
I'll never claim to be as competitive as a professional athlete, but....the most frustrating thing to see as a fan is complete underachieving. And that's what our team has been since 07. Classic Underachievers
I just dont know if the players get it since they probably all think they are the ****

There definitely apatten happening here....as for theplayers like IsaidI don't fall in love with many butthereare somethatI have highly respect... Sam Madison, Mike S couple of the latest...This guys get payed to entertain us fans and get payed well they are doing for the money not cause they love me....Its the owners job to keep us interested by giving us a quality football team to watch...and that's measured by wins pretty much....</P>

we all know they win orlose as a team...every singleplayer in the nfl has shortcomings every single team like wise...What makes the difference is how well they over come or mesh together And the coach playsa big part in it...knowing his players and getting the best combinations out there...I'm a guilty as the next fan when comes to pointing my finger at one player or onecoach when I'm upset over a poor showing...and I vent here...when I calm down I realize it isfar more complicated then that....</P>

I tend to like players whokeep their mouth shut..I mean BJ is getting paid what 4 mil or so to play football not to run his mouth ..If this is a real team in all senses of the word they have wonder about their failures over the last few seasons....And you would think they would learn for it, be more prepared game in and game out...yet we keep seeing this ****...Something is off here man and has beenfor long while...And for meit starts with the leadership they are ones who have to figure this **** out it just doesn't seem to be happening ..IMO....</P>

Its like watching a movie that sucks your gonna do one of two things ***** about it orturn the ****ing thingoff I'd probably do both...Us die hards we hang inthere but the casual fan they turn it off and jump on the next bandwagonand management don't want that...changes will be coming ...this movie isgetting old and I've seen before..</P>

sorry for the rant</P>
