Giants DC Perry Fewell is no longer worried about limiting Jason Pierre-Paul's snaps after the pass rusher played more than 100 against the Jets in Week 16.</p></div>
<div class="impact">JPP will get a breather with Osi Umenyiora due back this week, but he's not giving up the starting job. "He deserves to be the starter, there's no question about it," Umenyiora readily acknowledges. "The guy's playing at as high a level at defensive end as I've seen in a long time and I've been here a long time." </div>

WTF!?!?!?

Who is this new Osi, was he lying about his ankle, was it really a head injury!?!?!
</p>

lmao...</p>

i feel like Osi was just waiting for someone to ask him to play...which is ridiculous lol. </p>Maybe he had a 'Moment Of Clarity' when he was on the sidelines and realized that his name doesnt have the same power and intensity that it once did. Maybe he realized that he's on a class act organization with a bunch of talent around him, and in one of the better situations in the NFL. Maybe he realized that people have realized he isnt the biggest pass rush threat on the NYG's and that he's virtually a 1 trick pony

...Maybe he's drunk and starting the New Years Celebration early, LOL

Osi's presence is going to be awesome for our defensive front. Use Osi for the rest of the season and then I would use him as trade bait for the draft -to drop down a few spots and get our much needed lights-out stud LINEBACKER....that we have not picked for the last umteen years.

I feel like Osi has realized that his trade/FA worth isnt NEARLY what it once was and now he's trying to play the good guy card and when it comes end of the 2012 season he'll try to make our FO look like 'the bad guy'

...Then again Id be THRILLED to be wrong and see Osi have a real epiphany and actually want to stay a Giant for a reasonable contract

I just look at it as good help for jpp get him some needed breathers in a big game thats going to be balls to wall to get this win...but no Osi drama next offseason would be a plus

I'd be thrilled if he came back beastly. When healthy, it's hard to say Osi is not effective as a pass-rusher. emphasis on "when healthy" lol. He is MORE of a threat with the presence of JPP and TUCK around him...</P>

Hopefully Osi comes around and smells what the JPP is cooking. Last time we met up, dallas-Dominc Ware got hurt and had no sacks on Eli. We were on the positive side of the sack race. We need to bury Romo Sunday.

If anything it guarantees Tuck WONT make a play.

Adding Osi will def help JPP and Tuck and even 'Roadhouse' bouncer Dave Tollefson

he's kept his mouth shut since pre-season started. So I'm more concerned about keeping talent on the d-line. I'm more comfortable with Osi than I am some random FA signing. There arent exactly many Julius Peppers floating around the league either, so...im not exactly sure what you all think youre going to get....lol</P>

fewell needs to send more than 4 too. he hasnt been blitzing at all lately. read and react does not work with this team. we must attack the qb.
I feel like this game we're gonna need to be easy with the blitzing and rely more on the pressure from the front 4. Dallas has too much talent in the passing game to leave weak coverage on Witten, Austin, or Bryant, blitzing is gonna leave an open man on the field and they have too many play makers for my liking.

I HATE how people on the MBs are taking this game lightly

I know what Dezz is saying and bringing the house, but Dallas wr are all exceptional athletes and capable of making us pay for a heavy blitz. We're going to have to find a balance...as long as we pressure Romo and make him move a bit faster than he would prefer, I hope we;ll be alright.

Who saw the interview of Eli about a week ago? Eli was asked if he felt alot of pressure in the Redskins game. His reply was " I really don't ever feel pressure in this game".

Now that's who I want as my quarterback.

I know what Dezz is saying and bringing the house, but Dallas wr are all exceptional athletes and capable of making us pay for a heavy blitz. We're going to have to find a balance...as long as we pressure Romo and make him move a bit faster than he would prefer, I hope we;ll be alright.im not asking to send the house. just have an extra man coming in on a blitz for once. its a bit predictable just sending our front 4 over and over again with out any help. kiwi and boley are no slouches when it comes to the blitz
Boley is a bull rusher-If he breaks Romo's other collar bone, I think I'll kiss the guy next to me.

fewell needs to send more than 4 too. he hasnt been blitzing at all lately. read and react does not work with this team. we must attack the qb.

</p>

I'd be thrilled if he came back beastly. When healthy, it's hard to say Osi is not effective as a pass-rusher. emphasis on "when healthy" lol. He is MORE of a threat with the presence of JPP and TUCK around him...</p>Damnit Fewell better not put Tuck at DT, I cant stand it and it doesnt work anymore. If anything it guarantees Tuck WONT make a play.

Adding Osi will def help JPP and Tuck and even 'Roadhouse' bouncer Dave Tollefson

haha Road house was awesome.LOL, 1 of the many movies I can almost quote from beginning to end... If anyone HASNT seen it, check your netflix immediatley, it will change your life!!!!

LOL
Probably not as many times as you, but I seen that movie at least 4-5 times. If it's on and I'm bored, I'm watchin it! Who played that long grey haired dude, reminded me of kris kristoferson? His name in the movie was 'Wade Garrett' he played Swayze's bouncer mentor, I believe his name in real life is Sam Elliot, Im just too lazy to google it LOL

Beating the Broadway Lumps aintnothing these days, but that Winter Classic was some good Puck. Nice game....The Flyers play very undiciplined. They skate with the blades of thier sticks up at thier waist in the offensive zone and they are slow skaters cause they are a bunch of goons. Just like they have always been....Torts is a Whiz at mixing the lineups and shifting players to find a mismatch. You saw it in full display starting in the second period when you started to come back in the game......

I missed the entire play where they called holding the stick...
But that call of covering the puck was BS. there was no evidence of that! I guess assumptions are how they operate in the NHL lol.
Whatever, Lundqvist was a beast on the penalty shot, and the result of the game is what mattered. So that was good.
I only got maybe 45 mins of the game because i was busy watching Georgia totally blow their shot at winning the outback bowl. total failure after such a dominating first half =( ****ers</P>

lol....im helping someone with loan paperwork...and their vehicle insurance information came in kind of wrong. it's just supposed to have our CU name, and our address as lienholder, but in that box it came in with a bunch of random acronyms, and names ive never seen before surrounding our info....

So I call the insurance company, which we do sometimes to fix things...and I explain what i just said to the lady. And she goes...no that needs to be there all the time.
And im like, "well I cant use this insurance binder because it's not our info on there. I dont know what exactly you put on there."
she says "well you dont write loans, so you wouldnt even know about this".
Im like "excuse me?!?! Are you the loan officer, or the insurance processor?! Ive done this every day for 7 years. when was the last loan you wrote as an insurance salesperson?Unless you want your member to insure the vehicle elsewhere, I suggest you put the correct lienholder information so we can wrap this up"
she goes "you don't have to be so mean!"
I snapped..."are you serious right now?! after you just told me that i dont know what im doing because I dont do loans?! as if you know me, or my company. I want your name, and i want your supervisor now please. have a great day"

I hope she get's fired.
At least I got an insurance quote out of it. lol....i didnt tell her that my company also sells insurance &gt;.&lt;

“He’s had a lot of great seasons,” coach Tom Coughlin replied when asked if this was Manning’s best. “We will wait and see and talk about that one.”

But here’s why there’s no need to wait and see:

• Manning shattered his own franchise record by throwing for 4,933 yards.

• He broke the NFL record for fourth-quarter touchdown passes with 15.

• He threw 29 touchdowns -- the second-most of his career.

• Even more impressive, he threw 16 interceptions in 589 attempts -- nine fewer INTs than last season.

• He also completed 61 percent of his passes and finished with a 92.3 QB rating.

i should go to more games, they always win when im there. [:)]
what.a.game. almost had a few heart attacks in the 3rd quarter but the defense pulled through.
victor cruz, like morehead said, amazing story. his big td in the first, that whole play was gorgeous. eli kicked out to the left immediately after the snap, hits cruz on an out route , takes it outside, newman comes up short with the ankle dive, que salsa dance. ****ing flawless. newman had an aaaawful game.

Im happy the defense showed up. very proud with the way they played. was getting angry at perry in the 3rd, he started sitting back when the pressure was working all night. thankfully our front four were the four hoursmen sunday night. matt was right about osi. tuck had a big game, jpp of course. rolle came up with a int. hurrayyyyy.lol our dbs still look lost and confused in zones. almost as if they dont know how big each zone is. corey looked like he was jogging on the first robinson td. cant have that ****.

crowd was great, very rowdy. must of seen at least 5 fights. probably because people were on a 48 hour drinking binge

That game furthered the point that Kiwi is a good LB. He had a phenomenal game against a damned good TE and a shifty RB in Jones.

I would have LOVED to see how our LBs would have been with a healthy Goff

it is something to think about. I thought Goff was going to have a great year....

He is adapting to the linebacker position really well. </p>

A player who doesn't get enough credit is Steve Weatherford. </p>

To think there were fans on these boards who thought the Giants made a mistake by cutting Dodge. </p>

</p>Like me... I totally wanted to give Dodge another shot and WOW I was wrong and I LOVE IT!!!

Weatherford has giving us long hangtime kicks with outstanding direction, the exact opposite of what Dodge gave us

Don't know what game you just watched, Weatherford kicked more than on line drive short kick right down the middle of the field, got lucky on the first one, misplayed by Dez, 2nd one Dez brought back inside the Giant 40.</P>

That's why the Jets let him go, in crunch time he's a choker.</P>

I agree that Kiwi has been really good at LB this year, which is why when Dezz, and whoever else start complaining about Osi, and plea to move Kiwi back to d-line i cringe and disagree. LEAVE HIM BE!!!! We've been weak at LB forever!! Give us this one bright spot!! Kiwi does exactly what we drafted Sintim to do, and he was a bust, so lets keep this good thing going, for the love of god!!
We should be solid next year at LB if we are healthy (thats like a curse word for Giants fans--healthy...ugh). Which is pretty cool if you think about it. </P>

oh and yea, im totally content with the addition of Weatherford to our team this year!</P>

<FONT color=#0000ff size=4>So who is right, Morehead or Matt? </FONT>

a GREAT example was his hail mary on third and long to cruz in the 4th quarter into double coverage, luckily it was an amazing throw and catch and the safety was late. im trying to find a highlight, that was huuuuge play. we couldnt afford to go three and out again. it wouldve given dallas so much momentum

no that was okay because it was Cruz in single coverage

Cruz was in single coverage. the safety came over after the ball had been caught. There is no question that Eli has confidence in Cruz in those situations. And he's earned it. He goes up and fights for the ball like Steve Smith does (Carolina, of course)</P>

That was actually a great play by both Eli and Cruz. he spun away, saw Cruz singled up and made a good throw with a lot on it. It wasn't a paniced throw in the face of a pass rush.</P>

the resemblance of that play to the tyree catch freaked me a bit. Eli rolled to opposite side and catch was not as difficult , but wow

<FONT color=#0000ff size=4>So who is right, Morehead or Matt? </FONT>

its not about th enumbers for moorehead...

he doesn't see Eli chucking balls up or throwing into coverages anymore

and when he does, its "okay"
a GREAT example was his hail mary on third and long to cruz in the 4th quarter into double coverage, luckily it was an amazing throw and catch and the safety was late. im trying to find a highlight, that was huuuuge play. we couldnt afford to go three and out again. it wouldve given dallas so much momentum

no that was okay because it was Cruz in single coverage

(he already said taht this morning)
yea nm the saftey looked closer in real life
</P>

It wasn't a paniced throw in the face of a pass rush.</P>

i think JUST based off the fact that he broke Marino's record and the fact that he has no shot at MVP that hes a lock for OMVP

Smith's having a sick year, but I think he'll lose votes to people saying he benefits off of WIllis (even though hes missed a month) and the fact that Miller missed a game

I can't honestly say that.
I respect the production from Stafford and the Lions this year, but...

The Lions basically limped their way through the 2nd half and into the playoffs. The Saints are basically always firing on all cylinders, and Brees is basically the definition of high powered offense.
I'd actually put Megatron ahead of Stafford on my Ballot.
I think Stafford played to Calvin Johnson's level this year....it's very difficult to take anything away from Stafford, but without Calvin, he'd be middle tier still in my eyes, sadly.</P>

btw, you all know im a Georgia fan, and think Stafford has always been the ****! lol</P>

well i don't really think Harrison is that great in pass coverage. Matthews had an off year rushing the passer but he is tremendous in coverage and playing the run... a true triple threat

Ware is a great player... but I def think that Matthews is better vs the run and don't think that Ware is that good in coverage. Hes def not as well rounded of a player

Excellent article about Kiwi

http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/01/unheralded_mathias_kiwanuka_pi.html

Mathias Kiwanuka was one of the first players on the field Sunday,
warming up in a steady rain at MetLife Stadium. He was going through his
run “fits,” imagining himself coming downhill and meeting a lead
blocker and/or the ball carrier.</p>

About three hours later, on the first play from scrimmage in the Giants’ (http://www.nj.com/giants/)
game against the Cowboys, Kiwanuka flew into the backfield where he
wrapped up Felix Jones and brought him down for a loss of 1 yard.</p>

It was a tone-setting play and he’d add another in the second
quarter, when he ran through fullback Tony Fiammetta to tackle Jones for
a loss of 2.</p>

Though these kinds of plays don’t come with the glory (and bargaining
power) of sacks, Kiwanuka has learned to accept them as a part of his
new life at linebacker.</p>

“You’ve got to thrive off it, start to enjoy it. And once you’re
given a role in the defense, you just kind of have to go out there and
do it,” Kiwanuka said Monday as he headed for his day-plus of rest
before preparation for the playoff game against the Falcons begins
today. </p>

“I told myself, ‘(defensive tackle) Linval Joseph is kind of in a
similar situation. You’re a run-stopper. I’m the run-stopper for the
linebackers.’ It’s tough because sometimes, the better you play, the
less you play. </p>

“But at the same time, you’re making that team one-dimensional and
you’re giving your team a better chance. If they’re not talking about
the other team running the ball that means I’m doing my job.”</p>

Kiwanuka’s job has been an important one for the Giants this season,
even if he’s not being talked about as much as the pass-rushers in front
of him.</p>

While Jason Pierre-Paul and Osi Umenyiora have gotten to the
quarterback a combined 25½ times, Kiwanuka has recorded just 3½ sacks.
That’s a half-sack short of last season’s total in 13 more games played.
The reason is he’s been mostly limited to being a run-stopper who
occasionally drops into coverage and sometimes puts his hand down as a
pass-rusher.</p>

Often, Kiwanuka’s contributions can’t even be measured in tackles,
such as in the season opener when he did a terrific job of taking on
lead blocks to keep the Redskins’ running game contained. As the Giants
prepare for the Falcons’ rushing attack, which struggled late in the
season but erupted for 251 yards against the Buccaneers on Sunday,
they’ll need such physical play from Kiwaunka.</p>

“That was really an outstanding game for Kiwi,” coach Tom Coughlin
said of his play against Dallas, adding: “We put a lot of time and
emphasis into stopping the run. One of the packages was what you saw
right away early in the game with Kiwi. He certainly did respond and
play well.”</p>

It’s been well-documented how Kiwanuka’s neck injury last season allowed him to accept and appreciate a role at linebacker he once resisted (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2011/08/giants_mathias_kiwanuka_ready.html). Just being on the field again after a herniated disc threatened his career is enough to make him smile.</p>

Toss in another shot to experience his first playoff victory as an
active player (he was on injured reserve with a broken leg during the
run to Super Bowl XLII), plus 16 games played, and you have a guy who’s
thankful for a lot right now.</p>

“Just dealing with family issues, from my brother’s motorcycle
accident (in May 2010) to myself being injured and not being able to
complete a season, being on IR for the second time in five years, it
becomes tough,” he said. “So having completed an entire regular season,
it was an emotional moment.”</p>

Especially since he made it through this season despite a lot of pounding on his neck as a run-stopper.</p>

“It’s definitely more of a physical toll because you’ve got a running
start against a guy who might be shorter but a lot of those fullbacks,
they pack some weight,” he said. “It’s a physical game, but that’s my
style of football. I like to come downhill, I like to hit. I like when a
team has a big fullback they have confidence in because that means I’m
going to be out there a lot and get a chance to get to the ball.”</p>

For the Falcons, that big fullback was Ovie Mughelli, whom the Giants
attempted to sign before Atlanta outbid them in 2007. Mughelli has been
on injured reserve since suffering a knee injury in October, and it’s
no coincidence Michael Turner has only two 100-yard games since Mike Cox
took over at fullback. (Turner eclipsed 100 yards four times in seven
games behind Mughelli.)</p>

Still, Turner’s 172-yard performance against Tampa on Sunday means
the Giants need Kiwanuka and the rest of the front to play well so they
can do the other thing Kiwanuka still loves — get after the quarterback.</p>

Even if it is his old Boston College buddy Matt Ryan, whom he described as “fearless” when making throws into coverage.</p>

“There’s one way to rattle any quarterback: you hit them in the face a
few times and that makes their job a lot harder,” Kiwanuka said. “If
you shut down the run and make them one-dimensional, put them in
situations where they have to throw the ball, that gives us an
(advantage), especially with that front we have.”</p>

Falcons at Giants</p>

Florio’s take: So Eli Manning (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1657/eli-manning) once again is elite, even though Victor Cruz (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6313/victor-cruz)
has saved Eli’s salsa with big catches — and runs — in the last two
weeks. And the Giants have some Super Bowl buzz, given the memories of
what they accomplished back in 2007. But these Giants have a bad habit
of showing up only in huge moments, and there’s nothing about a
wild-card visit from the Falcons that will make the Giants feel like
they did in the past two games against the Jets and Cowboys. If — and
it could be a big if — the Falcons resist the urge to justify trading up
for Julio Jones (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6475/julio-jones) and/or to prove that Matt Ryan (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4637/matt-ryan)
is a big-time quarterback and simply run the ball and run the ball and
run the ball some more, they can get the Giants on their heels and
infest MetLife Stadium with the same funk that existed when the
Redskins, Seahawks, and Eagles won there.</p>

Florio’s pick: Falcons 24, Giants 21.</p>

Rosenthal’s take: The Falcons traded up for Julio
Jones to get more explosive on offense and they were more explosive down
the stretch. The Giants defense is prone to giving up big plays. This
just feels like a game the Falcons have been building towards for a few
years. It’s their time. At least for one week.</p>

Rosenthal’s pick: Falcons 24, Giants 21.</p>

great story on Kiwi

im over in ATL's forums stirring it up. Some good dudes over there, haven't bumped into any *******s yet
Whats the ATL forum you're on, share a link with us.... Lets over run those backwards ***, country bumpkin, redneck, fairweather dirty bird falcon fans

i ust went to the falcons main website

they actually ain't bad at all... pretty decent convo...

it actually saddens me because it makes me realize how bad the morons in TAGF actually are
used to be some decent discussions here but now its just basically pissing matches over the same subject matter.....fun for awhile quite boring now.....anyhow </P>

How nice would it be to get by Atlanta this weekend I think its quite doable, love how our team has be playing of*late ..they seem to be together and playing with heart and fire **</P>

Agreed B-We are going to beat this Atlanta team, I just feel it. It's going to happen, it's in the cards.B- I felt bad for my electrician last night. Remember that 240 volt heater I was talking about? I decided to not do it myself. You and I both agreed prob #8 or even #10 gauge wire for it. The manufacturer mislabeled their plate on the rear of the heater at .55 amps. A BIG mistake......about 80 times less amperage. He wired based on the plate...now has to re-run his lines and increase the disconnect box. I felt bad, because I had thought that whole job thru for my own purposes, but just assumed he was a professional and would know what to do.what size wire did he run ? .55 amps just over a 1/2 amp ?did he run 12 wire?</P>

I'm assuming you and I were right ot 6 alum for 50 amps</P>

ps I have a 5000 watt electric heater that i use once in awhile for temp heat.17000 btu 240 volt my*electrician wire that to a 30 Amp breaker with # 10/2 copper wire....</P>

here is a chart</P>

http://www.rowand.net/Shop/Tech/WireCapacityChart.htm</P>Thanks for the info. Nah, he ran real small wire. Sometime's he spaces out. He's a really good guy with kids and all. I don't know how he's not been juiced by now. I stand a little further away from him, when he's playing in the box now...lol. This heater is suppossed to put out @ 32K Btu. It's a 3 phase 240 volt, 10 kw model, with a 49 degree temp rise and 18" foot air throw. Really amazing for only a 27 lb unit. I mounted it to the ceiling of Garage Sat nite.

We tested it at the disconnect box that I asked him to put inline and it was pulling nearly 40 amps. He wired it with thin stuff. He used a single pole switch as the disconnect???? I guess he had a bad day? He's liscensed, Ive been working with him for years.

Anyway--I shut the breaker down so there's no risk to the house till he corrects.

I know what you mean. If you really want one, I'm sure they will be on ebay in a while for under 10 bucks.

My buddy really keeps his in mint condition. He has those plastic sleeves that he puts the tix in and then wears it around his neck. He lent me one last year and when I leaned agains the sink I snapped it. Cost me $20. I fold the tix once and put it in my pocket. The playoff tic I will try to keep unfolded in my jacket inside pocket.

Falcons at Giants</p>

Florio’s take: So Eli Manning (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1657/eli-manning) once again is elite, <u>even though Victor Cruz (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6313/victor-cruz)
has saved Eli’s salsa with big catches — and runs</u> — in the last two

Rosenthal’s pick: Falcons 24, Giants 21.</p>what an idiotic comment.

<span style="font-size: small;">Atlanta @ NY Giants
Sunday 1:00ET</span>

Atlanta Must: Keep Matt Ryan (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4637/Matt-Ryan)
upright. Atlanta's O-Line played better down the stretch, but part of
that was due to weak opponents. In their final seven games, the Falcons
faced one defense ranked higher than 19th in the league in sacks. Ryan
took only eight sacks during that span after absorbing 18 in the first
nine weeks. The Giants finished the regular season third in the
statistic, despite 11 missed games from star ends Justin Tuck (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/3286/Justin-Tuck) and Osi Umenyiora (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/975/Osi-Umenyiora). Osi and Tuck are healthy now, while Defensive Player of the Year candidate Jason Pierre-Paul (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/5681/Jason-Pierre-Paul)
has emerged as the club's best pass rusher. In terms of run and pass
yardage rankings, the Giants' defense may appear to be vulnerable on
paper. But there isn't a more fearsome pass rush left in the playoffs.

New York Must: Get Ahmad Bradshaw (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4305/Ahmad-Bradshaw)
going. The Falcons ranked sixth in regular-season run defense, but
sprung leaks during the final month. In the last four games, Panthers,
Jaguars, Saints, and Bucs backs combined to rush for 398 yards on 65
carries (6.12 YPC) against Atlanta, which also lost strong-side
linebacker Stephen Nicholas (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4398/Stephen-Nicholas)
to a lingering knee injury. Nicholas won't play against the G-Men.
Bradshaw struggled to stay healthy for much of the season, but overtook Brandon Jacobs (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/3146/Brandon-Jacobs) to be New York's lead back in the last three games and is integral to the Giants' chances on Sunday. Big-play receivers Hakeem Nicks (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/5136/Hakeem-Nicks), Victor Cruz (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/6313/Victor-Cruz), and Mario Manningham (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4654/Mario-Manningham) can be deadly off play-action fakes, but need opponents to fear New York's running game to execute.

X-Factor: Giants safety Kenny Phillips (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/4597/Kenny-Phillips).
Phillips hasn't been recognized with a Pro Bowl berth in his four-year
career, but he's on his way after a breakout season. In addition to
setting career highs in tackles (82), pass breakups (11), and picks (4),
Phillips graded out as the NFL's sixth-best safety by Pro Football
Focus. Phillips spends a lot of time "in the box" supporting the run,
and will be key to New York's defense of Michael Turner (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/2641/Michael-Turner). In coverage, Phillips' responsibilities will likely include guarding Tony Gonzalez (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/1331/Tony-Gonzalez) and providing "help" against Roddy White (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/NFL/3161/Roddy-White). A terrifically versatile, well-rounded safety, expect Phillips' name to be called often by Sunday's broadcasters.

Whey the Giants will win:
I think they will have more success running the ball, throwing it, and
rushing the passer than Atlanta. Ryan's career home-away splits are also
a bit startling when assessing the Falcons' chances. In 30 career home
games, Ryan has a 26-4 record, 64.8 completion rate, 7.55
yards-per-attempt average, and 49:17 touchdown-to-interception ratio. In
32 road affairs, Ryan is 17-15, completes 58.1% of his passes, averages
6.66 YPA, and has 46 TD passes compared to 29 picks. This will be
Atlanta's second game played outdoors since Week 4.

Prediction: Giants 30, Falcons 21

I was reading stats today that say AB and BJ combined basically equal or barely exceed Turner's production by himself. If we can get at least 80+ yards on the ground. A turnover or two(Ryan has not turned the ball over in something like 16 quarters) we will be good.

Let the atlanta defense pick their poison on who they want to double team, it won't matter as long as Nick's -ballard(knee? He has been practicing this week) make their plays while Cruz is drawing the coverage attention.

I know, I want it cold as well, but it will be chilly. Atlanta tends to **** up and turnover the ball in outdoor stadiums this year. We are set for @ 43-44 degrees at game time, but the low for Sunday night is 32. Temps in the shade/wind will be in the 30's pretty quickly into this game. I think this will be enuff to screw with this Falcon team.

so how do you guys feel about sunday? im worried about atl offense. obviously their wrs are extremely fast and can run the ball. not worried about atlantas defense though. i think eli will do what hes been doing all year and hopefully bradshaw is healthy enough to get a few more carries then hes been getting. plus tim lewis is atlantas dc. tc and gillbride will concoct something good.

My only concern is our secondary handling their assignments.
If the pass rush doesn't get there, it isn't extremely difficult for some offenses to have their way with half our secondary....
They've been playing a little better which is good, but we're getting to the point where we're no longer just trying to skate by. We're playing GOOD OFFENSES NOW. The road to the superbowl is the hardest it's been in years in the NFC. I dont think that's just my opinion, i think it's a fact.
I count ourselves in that assesment also.
Giants, Green Bay, New Orleans, Detroit, Atlanta........nobody wants to have to keep up with any of those offenses.
We'll do some work....I can feel it!!!</P>

Atlanta has great overall speed as a team. Put C-Web on Julio in the slot. Have Boley on Gonzo, and double up on Roddy..Your on your own with Turner...lol. They have very fast Linebackers but the are a little undersized, so BJ could be key in this one..Atlanta is a tough matchup. You guys are lucky that your not playing them down there........

Also hope that the Cweb report of a hammy is a ploy to get Ryan to throw that way. It will be an interesting matchup.

Yes--Giants had a surplus of tickets and offered them on Ticketmaster at 4pm @ face value. It's a great opportunity for fans that would otherwise not get to see a playoff game. I don't try to make money off my tix, but some psl owners are aggravated at the organization for giving buyer's a cheaper alternative.

yea it would be great if you could walk in any entrance and just walk to your seats. metlife is seriously flawed and the man that designed it should never design another building. Its one giant fire hazard. Seriously, God forbid something horrible happened where people need to evacuate. How it was cleared.....Ill never know. The escalators??? and the fact that 172 of those 442 yards came on the ground with BJ having the higher number impresses the hell out of me for two reasons:
