I was having an argument with a Pats fan on FB last week. I told him that Manningham could be a huge threat in the game and he laughed at me and quoted his 39 receptions. (not sure if he really caught 39, thats just the stat the guy quoted). Now today he is taking the same position and refuses to admit that he was wrong.</P>

I just wanna say im drunk as **** and love all of you guys, its been a memorable season, and doesnt it feel AMAZING to be a SUPER BOWL CHAMPION!!!!!!

We deserve it!!!!!

We do. Every true Giants fan does.

Best part is we can do it next year.

This might be too early but what's going to happen with Manningham? I fear he will go for the pay day instead of hanging around here. By the way, he might be one of the dumbest people on the planet, listening to him try to speak English is funny.

It was a great game. Some posters want to focus on plays that weren't made, but I choose to say that we just made more plays than they did. Our WR's made a lot of plays. Their WR's were weak going in (its their main weakness on offense) and our WR's are among the best in the NFL.</P>

We won this game. They didn't lose it.</P>

Yeah I've never heard so much negativity after winning the super bowl it's crappy...one of the first questions asked was what Coughlin though about his job being on the line early in the year...really?

We played better then them, made less mistakes made the plays when we needed to....I'm proud of the team and I don't care that we weren't "perfect" no team ever is...we were the best and that's good enough for me.

its the popular opinion.. .i hate parades they are useless

u need to be one of the 500 to see the press conference. Parades are cheesy. Its a more personal setting at the stadium. EVerybody that wen thad a great time. Tailgating for it will be better than standing on the street for 5 hours, hiding brown bags from the cops

i'll pass... work a half day, tailgate, celebrate, post tailgate, ponies, food, beer, then off wed

JP which jersey are you wearing?</P>

I'm thinking my blue Tuck. It'll be nice to wear another jersey for the first time in almost 3 months haha.

</P>

LOL I"m wearing my blue tuck right now at work. That's my choice as well. Tuck was awesome. I love the martial arts bow he does.</P>

hahaha I HAVE MY TUCK JERSEY ON AT WORK TOO!!!!</P>

I actually just took it off though, got another Giants shirt on anyway. I took off the jersey because it's newer and kind of stiff, i was just uncomfortable in it while in my chair lol. But it's folded up, propped up on display behind me for all to see ;)</P>

gonna head to Modell's after work to see what kind of SB champs gear i can find. </P>My buddy got me the grey hat with white visor from Bobs--that's all Im getting for now. Loud and Proud with the Tuck Jersey today!

I personally wouldnt go to a parade either because it's just insane amounts of people in too little amount of space lol.
I went to a Yankee WS parade about 12 years ago or so, and we went early and you couldnt even leave the subway station because people were blocking EVERYTHING. It wasn't a good time.

Matt, is the thing at the stadium just an outdoor thing? Do they let you in the stadium at all?
I was supposed to go after SB42, but i got deathly ill the day of the parade.

New York figures to give Coughlin, whose contract is up after the 2012
season, an extension in the next couple of months. But it turns out that
Gilbride, the team's offensive coordinator, is unsigned. He has done an
amazing job of developing an offense around Manning. <font size="4" color="#0000FF">Gilbride is
schooled in the run-and-shoot offense</font> and is one of the best at
developing slot receivers such as Steve Smith (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/10495/steve-smith),
Cruz and others. But he's also a coach who can build a strong,
run-oriented game plan. The Giants might have to dig into the checkbooks
to keep a playcaller who works so well with Manning and has two Super
Bowl rings. Said Manning: "Kevin Gilbride called a great game."

but generally speaking, yes, I hate the city.</p>Honestly its much easier for me, living on LI to walk to the train station, hop on a train and be in Penn in less than an hr, go out to 7th ave and get a cab to city hall and be there in 1.5hrs total travel time.

If we go out to NJ we gotta drive through Queens, The BX, and across the GWB AND have a DD cause its at least a 1.5hr drive to the stadium with tolls n traffic.

My perfect situation would be getting my buddy Boobs to be our DD, he is a straight edge but I can hopefully convince him to attend both by telling him about the MASSIVE pot of chili just sitting in my fridge and all the SB Party leftover food I can jack from my moms place, LOL

Ive spent my whole life living between BK and LI and while the city is a pain getting to and from, you gotta expect it. While im about 30miles from the city, it can take anywhere from 30mins to 2hrs just to get into the boro's. Its a pain, but ya just gotta take it with a grain of salt.

If they had express trains from the LIRR to Yankee Stadium thatd be nice, but even now taking the train to penn, walking to 6th ave and 34th st and hopping on the D train aint bad at all. I dunno I guess Im just used to public transportation and how crappy it is, LOL

Congratulations to the New York football Giants and to all thier fans..They made the plays when they needed them, and we didnt...As much as this one ranks right up there in the painfull department with the Playoff loss to the Raiders back in 1976, I cant even begin to tell you how proud i am of this team we had this year and the heart they showed..I can honestly say that there is no QB that i would rather have then the one we have...Enjoy it guys. Please know that i take absolutely no pride in knowing that you guys will someday feel these kind of defeats...After all, its part of what we sign on for as lifelong fans of our teams, the good, the bad, and the ugly....Enjoy and embrace the good times my friends...

Please know that i take absolutely no pride in knowing that you guys will someday feel these kind of defeats...After all, its part of what we sign on for as lifelong fans of our teams, the good, the bad, and the ugly....Enjoy and embrace the good times my friends...</P>

It's a shame one team had to lose, but I am glad it was you guys [;)]</P>

This is why I never talk smack to opposing fans right after their team is eliminated. It hurts like hell. I will see many of my Pat fan friends at bowling on Wednesday and won't fly any colors. Even though my Nicks jersey has been my standing bowling uniform.</P>

MH is gonna love this :(

so my wife say's she's got this thing for our daughter that removes hair permanently and she doesnt want to use it-so if I want it I can have it.

I didn't read the instructions which turned out to be a problem. Don't ask me what the technology is based on, but this thing get's ****ing hot and burns the root of the hair out. So being the bodybuilder type that I am I tested it out on my right arm last Thursday night. I only did like a 2 inch strip, but I guess I left it in one spot too long. I went to sleep and it hurt a little bit.

When I woke up I had a giant 3rd degree burn blister in the spot. Now I have no hair or skin for that matter in that spot. Great product . Really? Thanks Honey.

Just curious, as a pats fan which superbowl loss do u consider worse (try and move out of the moment)
Worst Playoff loss ever was the above mentioned Raiders game..Yesterdays loss is a close second..We had no business being in the Bears and Green Bay SB Games, and never stood a chance...The games where we played good enough to win are the ones that hurt...In 2007 the Giants had a better game plan and played better overall, so that one is not really that painfull. A perfect season only matters to Mercury Morris and our bandwagon fans...

1) Eli has the most 4th quarter TD passes in NFL history with 15

2) First team to win a SB @ 9-7 record

3) Oldest Head coach to win a SB

4) Beat a team in the 1st round with a record of 15-1

5) I would assume the 1st team to be out scored in regular season and still win a SB

6) Eli &amp; the Giants lead the NFL in 7 consecutive road playoff
wins by a single QB. Which is two ahead of the Pats and Steelers
currently @ 5.

7) Since Spygate the Patriots haven't won a SB with having two chances.

8) Eli is now tied with four other quarterbacks that have won 2 SB
MVP honors. Tom Brady, Terry Bradshaw, Bart Starr all had 2. Joe Montana
is the only one with 3.

9) Giants are the only team that have won a SB on each network XXI - CBS XXV - ABC XLII - FOX XLVI - NBC

10) The Giants have won 4 out of 5 SBs = 80% win rate.

11) Eli had fairly similar numbers from SB 42 and 46 fourth quarter numbers.

12) The refs tried to screw us (sorry couldn't resist)

13) Per ESPN and (GmenFan1980)

SB 21-down by 1 going into half = WIN

SB 25-down by 2 going into half = WIN

SB 42- down by 4 going into half = WIN

SB 46- down by 1 going into half = WIN

Per Chris butthole Collingsworth for jinxing it &amp; ELItemanning for typing it

14) Eli broke a record for most completions to start a superbowl going 9 for 9

15)Weatherford broke a record for most punts inside the 20 in a superbowl with 3

16) Eli and Cruz tied the NFL record for a 99 yd Td pass

17) Giants beat the patriots on 3 streaks. 18-0 SB 42, 20-0 win
streak at home during week 9, and finally 10-0 win streak ended in SB
46.

18) Eli had 5 post season game winning drives in the postseason 4th
quarter or overtime. Only Brady with 7 and Elway with 6have more then
Eli currently.

19) Brady passed for more then 20 yards ZERO times in SB 46

20) There were an average of 10,000 tweets per second during the
final three minutes of Super Bowl XLVI. Once the thriller was over,
athletes from various sports and celebrities joined the masses and
offered up their thoughts on Twitter.

21) The giants beat the number 1 seed and number 2 seed on the NFC
side and the number 1 seed on the AFC side. ( curious if we were the 1st
to do that in nfl history.

Per Roswell777

22) Last night they said the Giants are the first team to win a Super Bowl in four different decades.

23) Only team to win Super Bowls in 4 consecutive decades.

24) Undefeated, 5-0, in Conference Championships

Wrong. Jona Rechnitz bet $1,000 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas (https://twitter.com/#%21/BenjaminLyons/status/166337054718951424/photo/1)
that the first score of the game would be a Giants safety. With 50-to-1

No question in my mind and Ive always been a QB basher.

He's already more accomplished than a TON of HOF QBs at this point in his career and dont forget, he's JUST entering the prime of his career. We have at least 7 more outstanding seasons with Eazy E behind the helm

The only part of our special teams that was good was Tynes and Weatherford. And actually Tynes had a less than his average year in terms of misses. We did give up some blocks though I think so that doesnt help him really.

Our return game and coverage has struggled for a long time now. Jerrnigan's return in the 2nd half was literally our best return of the year.
the deck dealt us a good hand in the NFCC game with how we were able to force turnovers on ST. That has never happened to us. So the timeliness of it was beyond incredible to witness.

So I went to the Parade yesterday and while it was amazing and I LOVE seeing a SEA of blue as far as you can see, we didnt get to see the city hall celebration.

I got to our spot on Worth &amp; Lafayette at about 9am, it didnt get crowded til about 10ish, and by 1030 you couldnt move. We were right up on the barricade so I got to see everyone up close and I coulda sworn I saw Tynes put on a marching band hat and play the drums, my buddy has a great pic of it. When the parade was coming to a close I started to make my way towards city hall but EVERY intersection was closed and you couldnt get within 1 block of city hall, you couldnt even HEAR the ceremony.

In 07 we were able to make our way over to Pace university and get REALLY close to the ceremony, the cops had foot traffic flowing and everyone was able to see the 'STOMP THEM OUT' ceremony. This year we were getting herded like cattle into dead ends at every turn, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly was waaaaaaaay too overbearing this time.

I wouldnt trade it for anything in the world, but I was pissed bout the city hall thing

and WTF, why were there no trains running to the stadium so us people that took public transportation could attend both, we had MORE than enough time to get from city hall to penn to the stadium

I coulda sworn I saw Tynes put on a marching band hat and play the drums, my buddy has a great pic of it.
</P>

LT and I were watching it at the Diner, and it was Weatherford. Because RIGHT after taking that crazy marching band hat, he got his helmet back (one that was signed by the whole team in silver marker), and I knew it was Weatherford from the #5 on his helmet, and because i could pick that giant nose out of a line up!! lol
It was hilarious regardless!!</P>

Thanks man..I was actually kind of glad for you guys..I can remember years ago saying to myself- Man i just want the Pats to make it to the SB and at least play well..Then we played the Bears and got spanked a few years later....:(

I think this year was Coach B's best year ever..Even better than going 11-6 in 2008 without Brady..To take one of the worst defenses in the history of the game to probably a couple plays from winning a SB? That last hail mary play where Hernandez tipped the ball toward Gronk was practiced 111 times. The guy is the Rainman of coaches....lol.

To celebrate the New York Giants' victory in Super Bowl
XLVI, defensive end Justin Tuck gave every member of the team an
engraved bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue.

The New York Post reports that Tuck handed out 80 bottles to teammates (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=AuN0m1SIABTlRXIO6rcf.5dYYsp_;_ylu=X3oDMTFkZWg zYnZwBG1pdANCbG9nIEJvZHkEcG9zAzIEc2VjA01lZGlhQmxvZ 0JvZHlBc3NlbWJseQ--;_ylg=X3oDMTNibmo4YWliBGludGwDdXMEbGFuZwNlbi11cwRw c3RhaWQDNmU0MjQ5ODUtMjViNi0zZjA3LWJmM2UtMmVkMDc3ZG E1NGYzBHBzdGNhdANuZmx8c2h1dGRvd25jb3JuZXIEcHQDc3Rv cnlwYWdlBHRlc3QD;_ylv=0/SIG=14540r4m7/EXP=1330014459/**http%3A//msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/new-york-giants-teammates-buzzing-over-super-bowl-gift-from-justin-tuck-020812),
coaches and staff on Tuesday morning before the team's victory parade.
Each 750-milliliter bottle was engraved with "Super Bowl XLVI
champions."The total cost was $17,600, or $220 per bottle.</p>

"Johnnie Walker is kind of a working man's drink," defensive end Dave
Tollefson told the Post."Johnnie Walker and some Coke. It just speaks
to the attitude of our team and the type of guy he is."</p>

I suppose Johnnie Walker is a working man's drink, if that man works
in a corner office onWall Street. And though giving the gifts is
certainly an indication about the type of guy Tuck is, I don't know if
the $220 bottles of booze speak to the Giants' attitude, unless that
attitude is of affected Long Island accents and summering on Montauk.
(And, I swear, Dave Tollefson, if you ruin the smooth, blended malt
perfection that is Johnnie Blue with a splash of Coke, I'll -- well,
I'll do nothing because you're 6-foot-4 and weigh 270 pounds. But I'll
be greatly upset from a far distance.)</p>

As proud as Tuck was to have won another Super Bowl with the Giants,
part of me can't help but think he wouldn't have minded if the team's
colors were closer to that of the Arizona Cardinals. Eighty bottles of
Johnnie Walker Red would have retailed for around $1,500.</p>
