there should be no debate. Manningham was the #3 guy this year,

In terms of what...because from what I see defenses defended Manningham and our own coaching staff used Manningham as the #2 (second option) for more then half the season (or at least half)

to me that means Manningham was #2

I mean it's definitely close, but to say there should be no debate is a little ridiculous.

not 7

CRUZ: Started more games head to head, had more snaps head to head, had better stats head to head, played WR #1 Snaps for 20% of the season, had more games with more snaps head to head...

1-12 belong to Manningham (minus the Bye) that's 11
13-20 belong to Cruz that's 7

you want to take the two out that Manningham missed because he was injured fine.

still that's 9-7

you want to say that because they tied snaps 9-11 that it's not manninghams...fine...but it's not cruz's either then...so then its 6-7...but if I'm giving you all that then I'm taking week 16 away cause manningham was injured then too...so then its 6 to 6...

it's a tie again.

again, how does week 3, 9, 11, and 12 belong to Manningham?

9 & 11 they tied snaps.

3 and 12 he DIDNT play.

So we don't count the playoffs in judging who our #2 was for the year?

Whatever helps u sleep,.

I already took week 16 away...

Giants played 20 games last year.. Mario missed 3 of them

out of the 17 he played, he only out produced Cruz in snaps in 7 of them...

they pushed on 2 of them

its very simple, stop trying to complicate things - ur dead wrong

In games they both played Cruz has the advantage in:

Receptions
Yards
Touchdowns
Targets
Snaps
More games with most snaps

I'm not counting 9 & 11 ... for either of them.

I want to count 3 and 12 because regardless of whether he played opposing teams and our own team considered him the 2nd option....Calvin Johnson doesn't cease to be the #1 for detriot when he's injured...he just isn't playing at that moment.....but I KNOW how ticky tack and crappy that sounds so fine I'll give it to you.

So we don't count the playoffs in judging who our #2 was for the year?

stop downgrading it to 17 games....it's still 20 games not 17....

the first 12 belong to Manningham in my opinion, he was looked at as the #2 option in our offense...yes he may have been injured and he may have pushed with cruz 9-11....but up until week 12 he was seen as the #2...after that Cruz took over...from that point on he was seen as the #2.

but 12 of 20 week Mario was considered the #2...that's more then half.

Mario only played in 17 of them...

BUT even if u want play that game.. the first 11 weeks of the season was really only 10 games... fine if u want to give week 3 to Mario even though he didn't play, that means week 16 and 12 go to Cruz especially since week 12 Cruz out snapped NICKS.

SO then we'll use all 20 games and it was 10-10 with Cruz getting the heavy advantage in total snaps and everything else

lol i just went to beat you at your own game.. i still say WR rankings 1-4 are based mostly on production

I also disagree with your assessment that you have to have the more snaps to be somebody that a defense will look to take out...

go look at New Orleans with what they od with Lance Moore and Reggie Bush and Darren Sproles.... they def got more attnetion when they are on the field but they def don't play the most snaps at their position.

Contact center managment is required to forward emails to upper managementdescribing any irate, and threatening member situations over the phone.

I received a threat!! YAAAYY!!!!
This guy regularly comes in and demands the title for his car. In NY State, financial instutions dont retain titles. Only vehicle owners can request them through DMV, so I keep telling him that. I even tried to find out if our loan department had any authority as lienholder to get one for him, and we cannot.
This guy said if he came back in, and we didn't have it, he would "punch me out" lmao.

I don't think there is any chance of Snyder getting Peyton. He doesn't want to have to be publicly humiliated by little bro twice a year, and he knows how unstable that team/coach/situation is.

Miami, Arizona, KC

its actually been pretty stable since Shanahan got there...

only thing thats been unstable is their QB situation. Their defense is legit, they have some legit backs and doable WRs with a pretty good line.

Plus I think they have the cap to not only sign Peyton, but also a WR. Maybe Reggie?

I think it'd be great for Peyton to play in Miami. He'd get to beat down the Jets twice a year, he stays our of our division, and it gives Miami something to be excited about lol.

I think Peyton will go to either Arizona, Miami, or Baltimore.

I think Seattle, Tennesee, Houston, Washington, or Miami

I think Miami has the inside track for Flynn though so I dunno
I forgot to add Tennessee as well. I dont think he will go to a NFC East team. Hes not playing his brother twice a year. I was also thinking Seattle but its pretty far from home for him.

I'd love to see him in Washington just for the brother battle, but I think he's going to Arizona.

he wants to go to a contending team that may just be missing a QB....

I don't think Zona fits that bill
Hey, the Colts are a contending team with Peyton. Without him, not so much. Peyton and Fitz would kill it.

Peyton NEEDS a line and would probably prefer a defense.... he'll do the rest..

Hes going to be 36 coming off a pretty serious neck injury. I doubt he'll ever be what he was, still doesn't mean he can't be nasty.

Yea Marshall is signed, but I think the biggest plus is having Reggie bush there. No many better receiving backs than Reggie. Plus it looks like hes ready to be an actual running back too.

The Mannings are an extremely tight-knit group. I think it has alot to do Peyton not wanting to have to directly compete in the same Division/Conference as little bro. IMO their ultimate goal is to take the Manning-bowl to the Superbowl

But i said from day one, I would be all for it as long as it was the right price. This is great. I mean, Hixon has to know that he wasn't going to make bank or anything. This guy I know is wrestlemania insane. He just got back from Boston for the wwf event there and is gearing up for wrestlemania down in Miami at the end of this month. He's been to over 13 wrestlemania's. lol. I guess when you attend those events and sit in the front, they give you the folding chairs with all the stuff on them to take home. You should check out your old high school friday nite. Last year, they set it up where Lou won it all and threw a dude out of the ring.

lmao awesome. I was into WWF back in like 1989-92ish...and then again from like 97-2001

I once went to a Monday Night Raw with my father in Hartford. It was the first WWF show where The Rock was a face(Good guy) which was a HUGE deal back then. At the end of the show, Stone Cold Steve Austin was chucking cans of beer into the crowd. That probably isn't a safe thing to do. lmao

Then wrestling has been terrible ever since. The ATTITUDE era was phenomenal televisionthough!!</P>

i've actually watched a little bit of lately, its not bad they have some decent characters...

wrestlers wise anyway
</p>

my coworker watched it, and every once in awhile will tell me about something going on with it....
he said that John Cena and The Rock have REAL beef. lol....like they hate each other. And on recent shows they were cursing at each other (i guess cursing is banned now), going totally off script lol.
And wrestlemania this year (this month actually) is in The Rock's hometown: Miami!! lol</p>

i was actaully watching that and thought that it looked real myself. It seemed like they weren't just scripting. It went like 20 minutes over the slot time

i googled it the next day and there seems to be some real ****.

Then Edge was on O&A yesterday and he was talking about it saying that he thinks those guys relaly don't like each other.
</p>

I love when it gets personal in wrestling. Are you familiar with the Montreal Screwjob? probably the most infamous moment in wrestling! legendary stuff really. Google it if you dont.</p>

hahah yea the Brett Hart - Shawn Michaels thing
Like I was saying my friend just got back from an event in Boston earlier in the week. The rock and Cena did a thing where they started with each other inthe ring, just talking, to hype up Wrestlemania in a few weeks. I always think the same thing, like omg , these dudes really hate each other. Maybe in some cases, but I'll bet it's just a show for most of them. They drink beers and go to strip clubs together. haha.

Friend of mine, does this charity wrestle event at the Suffern High School.* You guy's may of heard me talk about him, he weighs 275 lb and is a bench press monster buddy of mine.* Tito Santana, the anvil, Tommy dreamer, nunzio, Robbie E and scottie charisma are some of the names wrastling this Friday at 7:30.* Check it out if you can make it.* Good times for charity.

I graduated Suffern high 2000 :)

They've always been wrestling crazy over there.
McMann's signed a bunch of stuff for him. You should check out your old high school friday nite. Last year, they set it up where Lou won it all and threw a dude out of the ring.</P>

lmao awesome.

The ATTITUDE era was phenomenal television*though!!</P>

edit - I went to an ECW show in Poughkeepsie back in high school, and one of the kids I went with got slammed in the face with a metal garbarge can in the front row. HILARIOUS!!!</P>cool.

Restructures are almost always good for the player. That is if he's a player that is perceived as having many more years left with the team. It usually includes more guaranteed money later. I understand that his new cap # for 2013 is now around $20MM.</P>

figuring they resign Bowe:

They have a top notch WR (and a young stud rookie and a decent #2/#3 in Breaston), a top 5 running back that can catc hthe ball, and a top 7 defense

I REALLY like the chiefs.... they are only a QB away with that defense and the talent on offense

I guess that depends on how much money Cassell has left as a guarantee. But that would seem to be a good spot for him.</P>

</P>

ehhh....I think i'd be disappointed if he lands in KC. I know the cheifs are definitely improving team...but...
They are the chiefs...so who cares?!? I just dont see it, idk...</P>

What does "they are the Chiefs" mean?</P>

You can say "they are the Dolphins", "They are the Seahawks". "They are the Redskins".</P>

Not sure what your point is here.</P>

it wasnt really a point as much as it was an opinion. like "who cares about the chiefs" kind of thing. Miami has a draw to it, I feel. Both teams are on their way up the ranks I think, but I just don't see anyone thinking ,"KC, yea let's go there!"
I could be wrong....but its just mroe of my personal opinion than it was a point to be made.</P>

Both "restructures" of Eli's contract have made him MORE money, not less. When a team is over the cap they have decisions to make. They go where the money is. They may go to an expendable guy and threaten to cut him in order to take a pay cut. They also go to the high priced, indespensable guys like Eli and dangle a carrot in front of them to defer some pay. They don't go to an agent and say..."Gee...can you do us a favor?". Thast not how it works.</P>

doesn't matter, u still had him playing out of position. You can't tell him that he didn't live up to it, becuase he played out of position. He restructured already. You can't add more guaranteed money to him because hes already at a 9 mil cap hit for the two years after this year as well

i bet after eli's year last year he would of gotten all the money he made, so thats a push.

I have no idea if there are any incentives, or what they are if they exist. I am only saying that the team goes to these players and offers something to them in order to get them to restructure. In reality, they go to the agents, who are there to protect their clients interests. The Giants are in a pickle, capwise. I'm sure they had to give Eli something substantial to get his to restructure.</P>

Lesser players can have employment held over their heads. Guys like Eli are offered addition compensation.</P>

Rolle did last year and we played him at corner for most of the season which is a more expensive position
And he wasnt a very good corner.

I just dont like how Elis ALWAYS taking paycuts when he was a key factor in both super bowls and the road leading to them.
</P>

You guys need to wise up.</P>

thats if you are assuming that he wouldn't hit the incentives to fulfill the ocntract

i bet after eli's year last year he would of gotten all the money he made, so thats a push.
</P>

Guys like Eli are offered addition compensation.</P>If it doesn't cost you anything then why would you not help the team with a restructure...They are saying it was a simple restructure with guaranteed money and showed how it was going to work ....keep it simple comes to mind here ....

they just turned money that he may not of made into guarnateed money... but with his numbers last year I bet he would of made the money anyway.

Turning it to guaranteed money means even if he has th shistty year and doesn't hit those incentives to get the full price of the contract, it won't matter cuz they changed it to guaranteed..

thats the reason why he does it. So unless he doesn't have a good year, he probably would end up making the same. But he gets it either way now. The monye he forfeited to guaranteed from last year, he probably would of gotten anyway.

But even still, at the end of the day im sure he'll end up making less money because im sure the Giants will extend him the last year of his deal and rework the numbers.

well its simple, he cut 7 mil off his number this year in money that wasn't guaranteed..

Just like he did last year (whatever number he cut off his cap hit last year, lets just say 8 for arguments sake)

He cut 8 off last year in unguaranteed money. So if its unguaranteed, that means it would of been performance based. So they changed it into a signing bonus, which i believe means he would of gotten an 8 million dollar check and it added 2 million a year to what his cap number is for the next 4 years

After the year of production he had, I think it would of been safe to assume that he probably would of gotten that 8 mil..

Now hes doing it again this year with 7 mil. He will probably got a 7mil check today and spread that 7 mil out over the next 3 and final years of his contract and it gets added to his cap number (but he was already paid that money, its just a cap number).

All it did was guarantee unguaranteed money. So if Eli has a good year, he probably would of made this money anyway.

And honestly, we don't even know what these incentives were. It could of just been for playing a full 16 - it could of been simple things that he def would of hit anyway, it could not of.

But if he has a repeat performance of last year or better i think its safe to say he would of made that money anyawy. If he has a ****ty year, then yea, he got paid more than he would have

To my knowledge, the only way this would increase Eli's pay is if this newly guaranteed $9 million somehow wouldn't have been otherwise earned (so basically if Eli was cut before the end of this contract). This isn't some noble, selfless act either, but I don't think there's financial gain for Eli in this instance.

I'm sure that sentiment does exist, yes...especially with guys like Eli specifically who are already worth millions. And youre right, they arent stupid. They won a superbowl! This is all true. I know it's all about pay me now for the most part, but do you think any of these guy's consider...let's try to keep this team nucleus in tact and win another championship THIS year? They know they have the QB in Eli. They know what they did last year. To me it's a question you have to ask yourself...get paid monster bucko or get paid well PLUS win a championship.</p>

I'm sure that sentiment does exist, yes...especially with guys like Eli specifically who are already worth millions. And youre right, they arent stupid. They won a superbowl! You win, you get more money. But this is just a business decision by the organization to free cap space. It's a good call obviously, as we might be losing pieces, and need some money!!</p> We've set the bar so high for ourselves, that I would love a consecutive championship. I just think back to how close we were in 2008 for a repeat performance in the sb-if God dam antonio does not give Plax a gun and screw it all up for us.

have to be honest, I use to think that way too..

but i think we were too hot too early... i doubt we could of sustained it for the whole playoff for another run. It just seems like everytime that starts the way we do NEVER wins

THIS IS GOING TO MAKE LINDSAY LOHAN LOOK LIKE AN AMATUER.....LMAO i CAN'T WAIT:

Snooki’s baby talk
What it’s like to be, like, totally pregnant!
By LEONARD GREENE
Last Updated: 10:52 AM, March 8, 2012

Having a baby sure changes things.
Just ask Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the hellion-turned-homebody who, after weeks of speculation and denial, finally admitted that she is expecting a bundle of joy.
“No more peeing on porches. Those days are over,” said Polizzi, who is in her 15th week of pregnancy.
The pint-sized, pouf-haired party girl, known for her wild reality TV antics, tells Us Weekly magazine she is a changed woman now that motherhood is around the corner.
Though she’s excited now about the prospect of being parents with fiancé Jionni LaValle, bliss wasn’t exactly her first reaction.

“S--t,” she said to herself at the time. “I’ve been drinking. I was worried. It was New Year’s Eve and we were in Vegas, so I did go crazy.”
Viewers know that crazy is practically Polizzi’s middle name. Her antics include a 2010 arrest for creating a public nuisance and an all-out brawl with roommate Angelina Pivarnick over a guy.
And, of course, there’s that whole peeing on the porch thing.
Until Snooki confirmed the pregnancy, she thought it was stress that was throwing her off.
“Sometimes I’m a week late,” Polizzi, 24, said. “But I always take a pregnancy test just in case.”
Polizzi said she lied about the pregnancy at first because she wasn’t ready to share the news until after she hit 12 weeks.
In the meantime, her pregnancy has been filled with some strange dreams.
“I had a dream I was in labor and my mom induced me with a shot in my shoulder,” she said. “My old principal was my doctor. You know when you hold in a fart and it hurts? In my dream they were contractions.”
As for the real thing, she has it all planned out.
“I’m not scared,” Polizzi said. “I’m getting an epidural. Natural birth? Eff that!”
When Polizzi saw her baby on a sonogram, she said, “It looks like an alien.”
Snooki said she will name the baby after the father if it’s a boy. They haven’t discussed girls’ names yet.

Good point that I have considered as well. This team as of the last 2 championships-does better by playing their best ball late and peaking at the right time.

I'm sure Eli walked away with a better deal than he had walking in. Thast what I'm saying. Even G was claiming that Eli took a "pay cut" for the team on FB. Guys here are talking about what a great sacrifice he made for the team. Its just not the case. the team went to Eli and offered him something to restructure.</P>

As I said, Eli is a great guy and a great teammate, but some here are making it sound like he left a crapload of money on the table for the good of the team. Thats nonsense.</P>

thank you I thought I was losing my mind if he slips on a banana peel and breaks both his legs he gets the 6 mill ...lets hope that don't happen

but he didn't ADD money like pappy is saying. Or we won't know until after this year

well thats different than saying hes going to get MORE money

Theres a shot of it, but i doubt they restructured the parts of the contract that were up in the air. It was probably the no brain incentives and they said listen we are CONFIDENT you iwll get these, so we'll just change it to bonus so you'll get that money now
to me thats the incentive for this restructure the bonus/guaranteed money ....Christ they gave him 9 mil dollars to do it if thats not in Eli's best interest I don't know what is ....If that 9 mil is spread out some how thats a different story....buts thats not what those close to it are saying .....no brainer here on Eli's part ...good for Eli and good for the team...win ,win.. Jesus he would have been stupid not to have taken that deal 9 mil of G money?!

Somebody show me how this cuts Eli's pay !?!</P>

It doesn't. It adds to it.</P>

it only adds to it if he has a bad year in which he wouldn't of hit the incentives that they turned into guaranteed money
not sure about this thinking....bottom line for me is this Eli helped the team with their cap problems by restructuring.....god bless him...but thats it thats all he do not take a pay cut

well its simple, he cut 7 mil off his number this year in money that wasn't guaranteed..

If he has a ****ty year, then yea, he got paid more than he would have
yeah i was just trying to point out he did not take a pay cut...he helped the team for sure And the fact they are calling this a simple restructure tells me there is little or no gain in money one way or the other .....**** all the lawyer **** we don't have a copy of his contract...given what we fansknow right now it was just a money move thats all..maybe more will come out....I love Eli but there are some here thinking he took a pay cut to help this team which is not true ....and using his moveagainst other players is bull****.....some of these other players are being asked to take real paycuts .......and no matter what we think of them they gotsomething to ***** about.....not us

yea def... i just doubt Rolle will be willing to take a pay cut.

Dudes about to be 30 and has three years ahead of him making some real dough...

im sure he realizes if he restructures and completely backloads his deal he will be a cap casualty by the end of it
they all become cap casualitys at some point....it would boil down to how much G money was involved and how bad the back loading would be of coarse....One thing is for sure there are a lot of angles that need to be looked at when making a deal such as this ....theG money can cover/balance outbeing cut down the road....

If he has a ****ty year, then yea, he got paid more than he would have
yeah i was just trying to point out he did not take a pay cut...he helped the team for sure And the fact they are calling this a simple restructure tells me there is little or no gain in money one way or the other .....**** all the lawyer **** we don't have a copy of his contract...given what we fansknow right now it was just a money move thats all..maybe more will come out....I love Eli but there are some here thinking he took a pay cut to help this team which is not true ....and using his moveagainst other players is bull****.....some of these other players are being asked to take real paycuts .......and no matter what we think of them they gotsomething to ***** about.....not us

yea def... i just doubt Rolle will be willing to take a pay cut.

Na it'll be about the cap hit... which for the next 3 years is already at 9 mil a year...

lets say he restructures this year and they turn 6 of his 9 into bonus, that means he gets a check for 6 mil but then his number against the cap this year is 3 and then for the next two years its 12. NOBODY wants a saftey on the books for 12 mil...

I mean but i guess its debatable if people want a saftey on the books for 9 mil either, so maybe u just take the money

MattMeyerBud
03-09-2012, 07:39 AM
Somebody show me how this cuts Eli's pay !?!</p>

It doesn't. It adds to it.</p>

thank you I thought I was losing my mind if he slips on a banana peel and breaks both his legs he gets the 6 mill ...lets hope that don't happen

hes not ADDING more money
Or LOSING money

yea correct... i thought that for taking 7 mil off his cap hit they would of given him like a 6 mil bonus - thats what i thought they did at first they didn't do that though

but he didn't ADD money like pappy is saying. Or we won't know until after this year
I'm with ya... I never should have agreed with MH's complete statement...my bad ;)</p>

</p>

</p>

</p>

</p>

</p>

</p>

I have no idea what the new wording of his contract is. I doubt anyone in the media does either.</p>

What I am saying is that Eli and his agent aren't going to do anything that isn't in his interest. Nor would our team insult him enough to ask for it. If he got a deferment of some money, he's making out in the end.</p>

well thats different than saying hes going to get MORE money

Jesus he would have been stupid not to have taken that deal 9 mil of G money?!

yea but its 9 mil he probably would of gotten throughout the season anyway. It just work sout better for everybody

Im sure he's no Vermin Supreme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFXXAuDK1Ao)

I'm sick of this whole Kony thing....it just shows the ignorance and how easily manipulated North Americans are.

If people only took the time to do 5 mins of research they would realize that the company who made that video gives only 30% of the millions they make to Uganda, the rest goes to them.

It's so pathetic to watch millions of teenagers who think they're actually doing something positive by sharing a viral video on their wall. You want to really help? Turn off Jersey Shore and go do some missionary work you uneducated, ignorant, easily persuaded idiot.

haha i love how it makes everyone think they are an activist for watching a 30 minute video. Totally blind to the fact that this has nothing to do with Kony himself, but OIL. I know, go figure.

2011, oil reserves found in Uganda, few months later, the most random video goes viral, and now we "want his head" and he "must be stopped". Joseph Kony has been among the most wanted international criminals for 7+ years. I'm supposed to believe that overnight, some magical switch flipped that brings this guy's name to the spotlight? oooooook then</P>

I agree to a point, I actually first heard about the Kony thing on Reddit (well I saw the video on facebook but never clicked it until after reddit) and the first thing I saw posted about it was about how the Charity is a rip off and how the LRA was all but disbanded already and how the video was misleading......which of course made me want to watch the video.

that said it's not ALL bad...Millions have watched this video now...literally millions...if even 1% of those millions actually put real effort into humanitarian efforts in the future then the video accomplished a good thing.

the only thing that's "bad" about this whole Kony thing is the fact that this so called charity (Invisible Children/TRI) is pretty much stealing money from charitable people, that said getting people to know about this type of violence is the first step to stopping these type of tragedies.

should the public be able to figure this stuff out without being spoon fed it by a viral video...yes...but that isn't happening so as long as they find out about it, to me that's a good thing cause otherwise they may never have known.

Yea I'm all for public awareness, but there are so many things that are wrong with this situation.

For one, like you said, the company is ripping people off, claiming they are a non profit organization, when 70% of the money goes to them, Not Uganda.

The other thing is the fact that they are oversimplifying a complex issue to appeal to uneducated, simple minded, easily manipulated young people who have the attention span of an infant. And it clearly has worked...

The thing that bothers me the most is the surge of popularity it's gotten from the same individuals who couldn't care less about any other injustice or world news. People who don't even know the name of the vice president and the only current events they are aware of are "snooky is pregnant", are all of a sudden advocates for human rights....gimme a friggin break

I really like Battle actually...I'd rather have Tolbert but Battle would be a close second...I don't like Hightower as much.

Back to the Kony thing a bit...lol the backlash at the supposed "activist" has arrived and it's ****ing hilarious....people are posting this kind of stuff all over facebook recently.

i love hightower

dude runs hard, runs fast, and can catch

perfect compliment to Bradshaw

I like Battle, but his speed worries me..

What he did behind that line in Arizona was amazing. Shanahan used him horribly. The only time they would move the ball down the field was when he was on the field those first 5 games.

Didn't feed him enough. He started pounding Helu late the way he should of been pounding Hightower

I don't understand how we always disagree on every player...I would say you or I do it just because we like to argue...but it happens too often and too randomly for that to be the case...

regardless I don't really want Hightower...I'd rather draft someone but Battle and Tolbert...either of them would be good.

I would LOVE Tolbert.....but we shouldnt be spending Tolbert money, and likely wont.
Ilove how he catches out of the backfield, and can run it like a huge Tight End upfield. </P>
