Denver doesnt have much going for them offensively in my opinion. i could be jsut selling them short, but they dont seem that great, or anything appealing enough for a future HOFer to sign with. dunno.

good news is that the running backs haven't been getting paid.

we may have a shot at tolbert...

unless he signed? I haven't been following since the tourny started

anybody doing a brackets?

I am doing pretty good. 3 of my final 4 teams and sitting pretty in 2nd place out of like 80

And i locked up first place in fantasy hoops, woop woop

EDIT: I heard we were looking at BGE ... any truth to that?
</p>

we're looking at the Lawfirm?
didnt read much yet about that. Good backup for us....but I rather have Tolbert obviously.

Next week my fantasy hoops playoffs start, and only the 1st place team has clinched. THAT'S how close it is....
I basically just need to tie or win this week. My team is crippled =\</p>

and no, no bracket....i dont even watch.
I dont understand why ppl only follow the tourney when they A) dont follow college hoops, and B) dont even watch sports.
lol</p>

because its good basketball for the most part

plus having 4 stations of games for two full days is awesome lol
</p>

The NCAA tournament sucks. Completely SUCKS!!!</p>

Good basketball Matt? Its like watching high school basketball. All the talent leaves college basketball after thier freshman year. College hoops is all about the coaches and not the players.</p>

And i can't watch Stuey when TBS has college basketball.</p>

u must of only watched your huskies play...

the officiating is trying to make sure their brackets don't bust

I got Madden12 finally yesterday. Got a used copy on ebay for $22 shipped ;)

It's alot harder than the previous one I had.

few things I noticed:

- opponent awareness in the secondary is much better. You really need a WIDE open receiver to throw to or else your pass will get batted down. Even the linebacks will knock down passes over their heads into the secondary

-almost every single other madden game, when on defense i would control a DE or a DT. But as dezz mentioned to me last week, the DE moves are kinda lame in this one. When i play a DT, its fairly easy to stop the run on the inside, and let your DEs cover the outside. But pass rushing never works at the ends!! so frustrating!! Oh, and when you DO pull off a swim move, your end rushes to the inside into a guard instead of to the outside, which would make sense when i rewatch the play lol.

-running is still the easiest part of offense. </P>

-the player cuts in preseason franchise is an awesome feature
-although i dont understand why it adds FAs automattically instead of saying "you need to have 4 safeties, etc.....and then it doesnt tell you it signs them either....oh, AND it cut Barden and Cruz without telling me. so i couldnt figure that out.</P>

yea it depends on the coverage with who I control... I am either a DE, MLB, or saftey.

if u do franchise, you can sign all of those guys to bring em into camp. I actually gor bored of playing online yesterday and made a franchise so that I could get Bennett on the Giants lol....

then i traded around playerthat signed around the league and put peyton on the 9ers...

i can't play on allmadden, i just get skunked. Im starting to dominate all pro though so i'll make the transition soon
</P>

yea im trying to figure out if i want other things to be realistic, like other players on teams, or just the giants specifically. like, i didnt get rid of manningham yet...and i didnt get bennett yet. maybe i'll just finish out the first season with him(ham), and then just not resign him.
this sounds weird, but....i like when players get injured in the game, lets you use more players and 'develop' them.
i love madden lol.
I dont play online...because uhh....**** paying that.</P>

I dont mind Denver or anything, but I just dont see why Peyton would want to go there, when other teams have better personnel....
Denver doesnt have much going for them offensively in my opinion. i could be jsut selling them short, but they dont seem that great, or anything appealing enough for a future HOFer to sign with. dunno.

they got a pretty decent run game, Demaryiuous Thomas is an untapped resource. Plus once Peyton signs, they may still be able to get a Plax type signing and Dallas Clark.

They are $40MM under the cap. Expect to see Dallas Clark signed with whatever team signs Peyton.</P>

The talent will follow when peyton signs. Point is that Denver has a very good defense. And Knowshow (despite the fact that he came from a hack college...Haha) has a perfect skill set for Peyton.</P>

Nice job on the ebay madden purchase!! Ebay rules. Last night on ebay.....I stole a Victor Cruz jersey with SB 46 patch for $38 shipped. Even after this many years on ebay, my blood pressure and heart still start pounding inside of 4 minutes. lol.

whats up ****ers...

soooo i got the new job. Just put the two weeks in today. At the new place, i dont think i'll be able to get on the boards. :(

So essentially this is my two week notice onthe message boards as well.

If Peyton goes to San Fran, i may cry.

</p>

yooooou suuuuuuck!!</p>

ugh WHY does he have to go to the NFC!?!?
So does that mean they are done with Smith?.....again...??

oh, grats on your new job</p>

thanks man

I do think he ends up with Denver or Tennessee, but christ him with Vernon Davis, Mario, Moss, and Crabtree with Gore, that OLine, and defense is frightening
</p>

I know!!
and not to be a downer...but that's not a team i want to play ever again in the playoffs. Skin of our teeth = thats how we got out of that one! lol
I must say, Ham and Moss made good choices....scariest team in football, man....</p>

absolutely
Talk about dropping a bomb on us. 2 weeks and your gone? Nah, no way? I hope not. Peyton to SF scares me silly. Nfc is going to be intense this year, very interested to see what Spags does in NO. Congratulation on the new job...Shorter commute I hope.

haha yea, i'll try to get on here at night.... but i don't really use the computer at home lol

My only hope is that MSU wins it, (and I actually think they will).</P>

And don't give me the Big East crap. These conferences are a joke. To me the Big east is still, Uconn, Georgetown, Cuse, Seton Hall, BC, St Johns, Providence, Nova and thats about it. What the hell are Marquette, Louisville and friggin Cincinnatti doing here.</P>

</p>

yooooou suuuuuuck!!</p>

ugh WHY does he have to go to the NFC!?!?
So does that mean they are done with Smith?.....again...??

oh, grats on your new job</p>

thanks man

I do think he ends up with Denver or Tennessee, but christ him with Vernon Davis, Mario, Moss, and Crabtree with Gore, that OLine, and defense is frightening
</p>

I know!!
and not to be a downer...but that's not a team i want to play ever again in the playoffs.

Wow, so you are going to actually work at work? What a novel concept?

Im starting to dominate all pro though so i'll make the transition soon

good news is that the running backs haven't been getting paid.

we may have a shot at tolbert...

unless he signed? I haven't been following since the tourny started

anybody doing a brackets?

I am doing pretty good. 3 of my final 4 teams and sitting pretty in 2nd place out of like 80

And i locked up first place in fantasy hoops, woop woop

EDIT: I heard we were looking at BGE ... any truth to that?
</p>

we're looking at the Lawfirm?
didnt read much yet about that.

</p>

</p>

So not only does the quality of play suck, so does the officiating.</p>

Nice call in the 'Cuse game.</p>

Bring on opening dayfor God's sake. February and March suck!!!!!</p>

u turned into such a grumpy old man lol

if uconn was still in u wouldn't be saying all of this. They let down the big east fans. I would be upset if i were u too.
</p>

Of course. If my team is in it, thats the ONLY thing that would make it worth watching. The tournament on its own sucks.</p>

What the hell are Marquette, Louisville and friggin Cincinnatti doing here.</p>

death to the defectors

Cuse went from a favorite team of mine, to one of the most hated

they took what i like to call: THE SHOCKEY ROAD

Ok, so I guess my video game education starts now...I don't know if it's multiplayer platform. I can check the game pamphlet when I get home. It's a wii sys. I thought I read that it can be connected to internet. I guess I kinda assumed in some way you could find some people to play....but I have no idea how to go about it. Currently , our wii is not connected to internet. I do have to make a move on a new wireless router soon...let me know if there would be any gaming considerations for me to be aware of with the new router...if you know?</P>

well, what I really meant was....can you even play Wii online anyway?? Or is it a 2player game or something? I dont know anything about that game, or Wii, lol</P>

I'm pretty sure you can play wii online. Does that necessarily mean skylanders can be played online? I'll check literature. We can connect our portal to the laptop and transport our skylanders to the skylanders.com mini online games. This is separate from the wii. It's not the same as playing another person in the skylanders full version game. Thats what I want to find.</P>

ok, im just curious how you would play that game competitively.
do you play against him? lol</P>

ok, im just curious how you would play that game competitively.*
do you play against him? lol</P>Yes-I play against him in battle mode. There are about 15 different arenas where you can battle an opponent. He's very good at using each arena's weapons/secrets to his advantage. That is the part that could be played in competition. There's diff ways to increase your strength's, speed, armor, elemental power, hero level, etc...very involved for a kids game. This battle mode is in addition to the 23+ chapters of missions that you can do. I got him the game 2nd week of Nov. He accomplished every mission level on Dec 3--day before we saw Green Bay game. He's off the hook.

yea it really is BS.
The problem with your idea of a no name doing it, is that that kind of company wont get the licensing for NFL.
There was a few years, where one of the companies made one of the games WITHOUT the license, and it was SICK. im talking like 8-9 years ago though...

why do u hate EA? Its obviously XBox that is the problem
Cause Ea is buying out every major developer and watering down there games. i love madden, but lets be honest, its the same game every year just slightly polished with a roster update. If the 2k series could work something out with the nfl (it wont) it would force EA to get off their asses and make the greatest madden ever.

because EA is criminal to it's customers alot of the time, and have inferior customer service to boot...
thats more PC side related, but it's there, believe me.

First of all....there's a new Madden, NBA, MLB, NHLgame every year anyway. Alot of game developers cant do this, obviously as they have to write material etc...so EA sports already has a HUGE advantage, and sells millions more of their games than anyone else can typically compete with.
And then on top of that, they now require xbox users to pay a $10 fee to play online, even though we already pay a yearly or monthly fee for xobx live</P>

btw, as an owner of both, I'll gladly pay for Xbox live over even using playstation's GUI. It's so bad lol. I figured they would have changed/updated it by now. cmon Sony!! Step up your game!!!</P>

You have to try to balance it all out. Many people have a very hard time doing that. My daughter is FAR too much into the facebook and texting. BUT-we know we are not going to be able to stop it so we JOIN it....well my wife does anyway. The two of them sit with her laptop for hours/days. My influences -have our daughter doing her exercising, aerobics and light weights plus she does track, cheer, music -singing and piano etc. We support alot of her seeing her friends and communicating with her peers. but the facebook and iphone is insane. I'm just happy to try and get somewhat of a healthy balance for her.

First of all let me just say that you guys can obviuosly talk about anything you want. This is America and more power to you.</p>

But video games?</p>

Maybe it IS a good time for the MB's to shut down for a couple days.</p>

dont knock it if you havnt tried it. you would LOVE madden. plus a ps3 has a bluray.
</p>

I'm sure you're right. But it would destroy my soul.</p>

</p>

the industry could probably support 100s of countries by itself. BILLIONS upon BILLIONS go into the video game market. crazy really...
anyway....i neither agree or disagree with you.

You and I dont play sports anymore, but we're big fans, what does that make us if not nonparticipants?
Dont even say golf.....it's a hobby.</p>

</p>

I play 100 rounds of golf per year. WhenI work out a lot my game gets much better. I like to compete.</p>

Look you guys can do whatever you want, this is just a philosphical point with me. Whenever we have teenagers over or see them out they friggin can't even talk anymore. they can't look you in the eye and have a conversation. They look down at thier smart phones and text or do whatever they're doing. They have no people skills. And they're fat too. They don't work out, they don't exercise, they don't participate in the course of normal human existence. </p>

Drives me nuts. Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke predicted it exactly right in 2001, A Space Odessey. we have become so involved and dependant on our technology, we are being stripped of our humanity. Its a troubling trend.</p>I agree with most of that. But I think the problems with the ipads, iphones, laptops. People are so use to having everything right at their fingertips.

I see ******ed shows like Jersey Shore and all those horrid reality shows dumbing down kids. It shows kids this behavior is acceptable, when its not. I mean theres a show on mtv called 16 and pregnant.

The gaming industry does have some questionable game like the grand thieft auto series, but no ones driving around taking out whole side walks of people on purpose, or running up to cars at redlights and shooting the drivers and stealing their cars, or throwing movtail ****tails at groups of people.

But sports games, no way. even shooters. Its a great stress reliever as well, if youre winning.

Your funny; this coming from a Sox fan that thought Jacoby Ellsbury should have won the MVP last season. </P>

Of course you don't care about individual awards; you have enough on your plate with the Sox not choking again..</P>

The only reason he didn't was because of the Sox collapse. We all know he would have won it if the Yankees could hold a 7 run lead in the 8th inning.</P>

To deny that he would have been the MVP last season if the Sox made the playoffs is to live with your head in the sand.</P>

The only reason he didn't was because of the Sox collapse. We all know he would have won it if the Yankees could hold a 7 run lead in the 8th inning.

To deny that he would have been the MVP last season if the Sox made the playoffs is to live with your head in the sand.</p>

</p>

lol my favorite part of all that is how you were screaming conspiracy about that. How the Yanks intentionally threw games to eliminate the red sux.

"it's bad for baseball!"
and
"i cant believe they would allow that to happen"</p>

not direct quotes, since i dont remember EXACTLY how you worded it, but.....that was the general message you were sending =]</p>

</p>

Conspiracy? I don't think so.What I said was that the Yankees were a disgrace. They kept (whoever it was) in there until his arm fell off.</p>

Don't get me wrong, the Sox didn't deserve to make the playoffs but the Yankees were a disgrace. They got there's in the first round however. the baseball god's are fair.</p>

lol youre better than this mh.

Honestly if Girardi was throwing games, I think Jeter would call him out. Someone would have.....
</p>

Maybe you can show me where I said they 'threw the game". Don't put words in my mouth.</p>

I said they didn't play it straight. And they didn't.</p>

im gonna go back 6 months in the thread to find when u said it

na, i'll just agree with everybody else that saw you say it.

hey guys... im doing a home run league... I have 2 spots open, 100 bucks a team if anybody is down..

Fun, easy, and very minimal upkeep for the year
</p>

Robinson Cano will have 30+ homeruns this season...</p>

I have him as my MVP prediction for the 2012 season. </p>

</p>

I'm quite sure he'll be yours.* He won't be the league's however.</p>

</p>

Why do you say that?</p>

*</p>

</p>

How is this not obvious?</p>

</p>

Please enlighten me to the ovbious choice for potential mvp?</p>

Albert Pujols? Miguel Cabrera? </p>

*</p>

</p>

Just thought it was funny that a Yankee fan picked a Yankee to be MVP.</p>

I have no idea who will be the AL MVP and I'm really not interested.* Care much more about how well my team will do this season.</p>

All about the Sox for me.* I'll let others worry about popularity contests like MVP and Cy Young.</p>

and christ pappy, you really have become a grumpy old man...

its a sports message boards. You USE to take part in these convos as well
It's hard for me to believe that you are going to be able to stop posting on this board with the new job cold turkey ....and with no rehab or therapy.

Maybe the Red Sox should have just won their game that day instead of even worrying about what Tampa or NY did.
And you have no idea what youre talking about.Bentances started that game, never got to the 2nd inning, and we used 11 pitchers in that game. ELEVEN PITCHERS
what would you have done? put starters in for relief, 2 days before the playoffs started, when it really didnt matter?
</P>

</P>

They let Proctor's arm fall off. Its not who they pitched, its who they didn't pitch.</P>

And you're getting off on a tangent here. I responded to your false claim that I siad there was a "conspiracy". Which as usual, you were completely wrong about. I told you what my claim was, that the Yankees were a disgrace". You don't have to agree with it. I expect since you're a Yankee fan, you don't. I'm only saying that my argument was not what you claimed it was.</P>

I'm not here to re-argue it.</P>

lol, this is awful....
fine, not conspiracy. Nobody but you would say the Yankees were a disgrace for losing a game where we used all but 3 pitchers.
3 of our most IMPORTANT pitchers(D-Rob, Soriano and Mo), in a pretty much meaningless game.

Just cuz it cost YOU the season, doesnt mean anything about us...lol

I dont wanna go back in the box scores, cuz they load slow, but im prettysure Robertson was used in a mop-up role the game before, no reason to pitch every guy. i dont personally understand his stance, but whatever.
I dont think he understands that just cuz it was important to HIM that we win (lol, rooting for the Yankees), it wasn't worth us using all our stud pitchers a day before the playoffs. I'll be honest....we're lucky we even HAD 11 pitchers to use lol</P>

They did NOT use Robertson. I was in California at the time with a die hard Yankee fan. He said.."no way they don't pitch Mariano in the 9th".</P>

I'm just saying the Yankees didn't play it straight. We remember how proud we were when the Giants played it straight against the Pats in 2007. As we remember, the Giants had "nothing to play for". My view is that when the games have meaning in the standings, you have to play to win. And remember when the Colts folded up their tent when they had an undefeated season going, they got beat in the first game of the playoffs.</P>

You can spin it any way you want, but it was a bad decision because they lost the next series. And I promise you if the players have any heart at all, they were pissed off for not playing to win that game.</P>

I'll tell you why the Yankees didnt get past the 1st round in the playoffs. And it had nothing to do with a meaningless series against the Rays that conveniently eliminated the red sux....

It was starting pitching.
The Yankees did not have the pitching to match up against the upper echelon the other teams did. We knew it all season, and our offense stopped carrying us, like we were sure it would have to.</P>

Regarding World's Fair in Queens , NY:

My Grandfather worked for Shenley Distributors. He designed and helped construct their World's fair display there in the 60's. A couple years later LT as a kid was flying his cox airplanes (gas powered and connected to a string) on the World's fair grounds. LT also used to climb on the big metal globe at the park.

I feel the same way...biggest factor for me besides not being free that weekend is Dream Team. They run a very disorganized show. Very nice guy's though. I could always hook up with the kid I met there and give him anything that I want signed and pay him on the side to avoid the crowd chaos.

I'll be happy if the only signature/inscrip I get this year is King Eli. I have a special NYG Blue sb 46 helmet with final score on it-that I'm going to put #10's on just for the King.

May have to upgrade that, but blondie got me this kick *** picture of eli and its made up of all little pictures of me and her. Its huge.

The collage of you and Eli sounds nice. I like stuff like that..the personal touch stuff. SB ball auto by the King will be good. I only have 1 autograph by Eli. It's a min-helmet from 2007 that he signed for me before sb. After they won I brought the helmet back to him for him to inscribe sb mvp.

The sb 46 inscription I want him to do are:
Eli 2011
NYG record 4933 pass yds
15-4th qtr td's nfl record reg season
Nfl record most road playoff wins
Most franchise payloff td's .

Yeah, when I was registering, I noticed that the crowd for Cruz was more of a mom/pop/kid audience as opposed to die-hard collectors. Dream Team had nothing posted regarding inscriptions. So I asked to speak with the main guy..he said that I could pay for the inscrip. and gave me an inscription ticket.

#1 almost every girl out there has loose morals, the best line was from one of my friends who lives out there while talking about women he says...

"You're in a casino in Vegas, just make eye contact with every girl you want, if they are smile then your good easy as that.....unless they are with a guy....then they are working"

lol.

#2 it seemed like every good looking girl had bad looking friends with them, so I wouldn't get my hopes up too much

The Wisconsin girls were decently cute...annoying as hell though...they found me and my friends the next day and followed us around, one of my friends just kept making fun of the state over and over again to their faces to try to get them to leave us alone...eventually we went to the water show at the bellagio one of them threw up on the railing and we took that as a cue to literally run away from them...

I got a massage (a regular one) at the tables and saw the Massage girl later on the street ended up hanging out with her for a bit also...never closed that deal though.

learned how to play craps and pai gow both awesome games...ate a shrimp at this place called center cut that was literally (and I meant it) the size of a Martini glass...I have a picture of it to prove it.

The waitress at the sportsbook knows me by name and drink lol, she also told me I lost something and was looking for it but I have no memory of this...

while learning how to play craps I missed the table with the dice 4 times and no one cared cause I was on a massive run.

I mean I can't possibly go through everything that happened...

<u>while learning how to play craps I missed the table with the dice 4 times and no one cared cause I was on a massive run.</u>

I mean I can't possibly go through everything that happened...
LMAO!!!!! hahahaha

you guys gotta chill with the pics of scantily clad women. There's no avoiding scrolling by it.......

i dont know how every company handles it, but how am I going to justify it? "someone else posted it, i didnt mean to look at it!"

A link will suffice, those who care will click. promise.

hahahaha i've gotten in trouble for nooners before lololol
If it's any consolation...regarding the scantily clad woman(I use that term also lol=&gt;p&lt;) and the nooner's....I've been caught at work as well. lmao. Since the forum got crazy a couple of month's ago I switched to Google chrome and I lost my link function. Maybe new forum will be better for me. I'll take you into consideration Pizz, I don't want you to lose your job because of LT.</P>

lol sall good man...
put a NSFW tag on a link or something [NSFW]
Jpizzack enjoys nearly naked women just as much as the next guy....but, work prohibits my enjoyment of them during business hours ;)
especially on days like today where im stationed up front, and 10 employees behind me can see my screen, as well as passing members hahahahaha</P>

The Venetian has a river that runs through it...with gondola's

like through the actual building...it's crazy...I can't wait to go again, I did a million things and there are at least 10 million things I didn't have time to do..and I was there for 4 days.
</P>

wow thats awesome.

I'm staying at Mandalay bay, and they have one of those underground tunnel aquarium things in it. And they also created a beach outside the hotel. Like, they made a mock ocean with a sandy beach, but it's just a monstrous wave pool lol. looks pretty awesome</P>

Sounds perfect for leisure diving?

This is the river running threw the Venetian...it looks just like that...and you can take a gondola from place to place and even have one of those Italian dudes singing songs as you go.

By the way when you are out there definitely try to get to Center Cut (http://lasvegasblog.harrahs.com/las-vegas-restaurant/first-look-center-cut-steakhouse-at-flamingo/) for dinner it was amazing.
