Matt, I have been told that I need to accept God into my life more. I was raised Catholic and went to church every Sunday and holidays.

I even went to those CCD classes a couple days after school during the week.

But I feel everybody has their faith and that is good. But I have also noticed that some of the "supposed" holy rollers are the biggest hippocrits out there.

having faith in god is fine.

I am 12 years catholic schooled too between CCD, middle school, and high school.

But these religion gets used as a crutch. People think they are holier than thou because of their religion and they look down upon others because of it (kind of goes against every thing i was taught in 12 years). People use it as a crutch to do what they want and come back with "God is forgiving".

If people can find the good out of religion, i take no issue with it. Buts its more common to find people using it as a shield. Religions that are suppose to be accepting of everybody, typically aren't at all. I just can't stomach it.

I hear you, but thats the small majority. Every bunch has is bad apples. And its certainly not just Christianity. At least Christians arent blowing themselves up to kill other Christians. Look at the middle east. Jihadists kill everyone that dont except their way of Islam. Its insane.

the extremists are a small majority but you don't need to be an extremist to fall under the catagory of people that use Religion as a sheild.

**** man, my old drug dealer/friend was religious as can be. A friend that sold me pot but was a real drug dealer for other **** was as religious as you could BE. Dude went on retreats with his family like once a month just ridiculous **** but was a bad mother****er. Aka, doing time for stabbing somebody now.

Im sorry but I see more negative effects of religion than positive. And it also speaks to the fac tthat some people need to be god fearing to do the right things. I don't fear god, I still try to be as good to people as possible. I can be a **** and a ball brearker but at the end of the day i try to do good by people.

I've come to the conclusion that if there is a god and he doesn't accept me because I didn't buy into this religion **** and he holds it against me - then I don't want to follow a god like that anyway.

I agree with pappy on this MMB, I know a lot of religious people (all be it most Jewish) and you would have NO idea they were even Jewish, they don't push the agenda, they don't use it as a crutch, they don't think they are better people then those who are less religious...those thoughts I would imagine don't even enter their mind, they do what they do because they want to..not for some type of benefit....and if it wasn't for them eating kosher you'd probably never even know they were religious at all.

its a culmination of things.

Whether its pushing their religion on people, playing the i'm superior card, or use it as a crutch to act in a negative way (for instance the topic of homosexuality).

As a straight dude (jokes later) that grew up in ball breaking jersey and who CONSTANTLY uses the term *** and homo (in a non sexual way), it annoys the piss out of me when I come across people against gay marriage. People manipulate what religion is suppose to mean too much.
Yea and if you said those things in front of homosexuals theyd press charges. Theyre just as bad as the religous freaks.

see THATS the **** though. Stuff like that...

like did he really need Psalms chapter and versus on his eye black in college?

does every question he answer have to be prefaced with a 5 minute praise to god?

I find it annoying. But I still hope he does good because as a football player I am not convinced that a spread option can't work in the NFL.Everything comes full circle. But now that hes a Jet, I hope he blows even bigger ****

<FONT size=2>If you go to heaven, there is nothing to worry about.</FONT></FONT></P>

You won’t have time to worry! </FONT></P>

yea and thats an issue I have wtih the homosexual community. Like I get it, but its time to understand that those words have actually taken on a different meaning.

Just like the word ****** was originally meant to just mean ignorant, it has taken on a new meaning so its time to not use it when your looking for a synonym for ignorant

dezzz, I don't know if you are commenting regarding my post or Pizz?

I was talking in general when it comes to some people pushing their beliefs on others.

I was not saying that Tebow is one of those who push their beliefs on others. I have no problem with him thanking his Lord Savior and "Tebowing"

To me its the same as when some athletes say "Hey Ma" etc. when I see that on TV.

I think Tebow's attitude, outlook and how he carries himself is good for the younger generation especially.

I have no idea what this means. What are you saying?</P>

like it seems your life right now is in a really good place but not to be insulting but it just seems like you don't have much experience with really different walks of life. Its one thing I was kind of lucky wtih in dealing with others was that i've gone to school with the ghetto and i've gone to school with the rich while living in what would of been considered a middle class town my whole life. And its not to be insulting, but you should put that comment on the same shelf as "i watch too much TV" to form my opinion of why I hate religion.

Religion makes people too many people think they are on pedestals to the other people or they use religion as an enabler to live their life a certain way - and I can't stand it.

<u>I've come to the conclusion that if there is a god and he doesn't accept me because I didn't buy into this religion **** and he holds it against me - then I don't want to follow a god like that anyway.</u>
pretty much the exact way i feel, but if someone wants to pray every hour of the day im not going to hold it against them as long as in my face about it.

me either, thats not what im about. If people want engulf themself with religion its fine. Thats not what my point was. My point was when they lose their humanity and try to justify their own personal beliefs by using Religion as their sheild, its annoying.

And the homosexual topic is THE PERFECT example of it

The people I know who tend to be more religious are usually more selfless, kind, giving and thoughtful. Generally they will do anything for you and ask nothing in return.</p>

They tend to be strong, honest and principled. they tend to be the kind of people you can lean on when you have troubles.</p>

They tend to have much stronger relationships and tend to raise kids who are respectful as well.</p>

Yeah.....they're all *******s.</p>

Pappy, i've come to one conclusion about you. You really don't get out of ur comfort area much.

Im not saying it doesn't exist, but i can say I know more people who aren't like that that "put god first"
</p>

Everything becomes much more complicated when it involves homosexuals/lesbians....especially business, education, medical etc. I really don't get that either. Laws have been passed allowing same sex marriage, they receive the tax benefits of hetero married couples, adoption(deductions) The playing field has been equalized....so then why do they get an "extra card" to play when something doesn't go their way? They should no longer be allowed to cry discrimination. The hetero's are being discriminated against here.

I really try (not always sucessful) to consider the other person in every equation.its pretty simply to me also be honest treat people with respect "at least till they **** with ya" see soeone in need help if you can ....you do these things you get respect and trust back life would such without it.....Right, you follow those rules, or try to, and good things should happen for you or at least you can sleep well at night.

lol uhh...pretty sure you cant press charges for language, buddy.</p>

lol yea freedom of speech. I think he was just making a point
Its called a hate crime. Look at that Indian kid(forgot his name). Hes getting 10 years for "bullying" that "forced" a gay college student to jump off a bridge. Is that really fair? I believe he should get deported or some hard time, but 10 years??
</p>

I've mentioned that that case in particular is far from over. It's going to be a benchmark case for years to come regardless of the final outcome.
It's not a hate crime to use words lol. It IS a hate crime if you use those words to fuel a hurtful outcome.

I dont really want to talk about that case. it's extremely controversial. lol</p>More political correct bull****. Its poisoning this country.
That case is going to set all type of precedents. The hetero's are being discriminated against here.

bullying isn't just about sexual preference though. There is a big push to stop bullying.

Whether you want to consider that case bullying or not is up for debate i guess, but I would consider it bullying.

OK. Case can def be made that in this situation, Bullying is the primary violation, but the undertone of the fact that it was a homosexual performing homosexual acts that were being captured via video complicates things. At least for the jury. How can anyone be sure that the jury was able to rule completely objectively on "bullying" without being influenced by the homosexual connection. Whether the emotion that was evoked from the jury be, pity, disgrace, etc. The objectivity to make a verdict decision based on the sole fact has been comprimised and emotion could very easily enter a jurors mind.

B's right, they won't be happy till we are all homos...lol

first off - ucan't just be arrested for saying the word ***got. Your completely wrong. ****, i mean there are anti-gay protests ALL THE TIME everywhere. Those people do not get arrested.

If u call somebody a homo and hit them, THEN you could be arrested for hate crime instead of simple assault.

And there is a MAJOR difference in gays "being in your face", which i would say is an offbase description of the gay movement, vs religion being in your face. Point is that Gays are fighting for their rights to live the way they choose, religion already has those rights.

I don't see gay people out there trying to convert people to making straight people gay - well ya know not in the MOVEMENT stance. I know i've tried to talk some lesbos into being straight for a night.

But in the situation u mentioned before about the use of the word *** and homo, which gays are trying to say needs to stop - i disagree with. I mean i get their point, but as the times have changed and most americans are accepting of their ways of life, they need to realize times have changed and those words have taken on different meanings.

I dont think he would of gotten such a stiff sentence if the kid wasnt gay. Theres been quite a few bullying cases within the last year that didnt even go to court. The victims of the bullying also committed suicide.

the kid bullied him to the point of him killing himself

it would of absolutely been as stiff
find me a case with a sentence as stiff as this. Also most of these bullies are minors, which is another thing.

some places you can be arrested for calling homosexuals ***s and whatnot. My point was that homosexuals are as much in your face about their views as Christians and other religious wackos. Look how many laws are being changed to suite their way of life. I dont think we should be changing any laws for one sect of people, no matter who they are.
</p>

lol, you lost me bro, sorry.
well things have the be changed in order for people to all have the same advantages, rights...thats all I see as being done.
What other laws are you saying are being changed for them? marriage? so...insurance for married couples? so...?
I dont get what youre saying.

I gotta be honest dezz.....in regards to that case, the outcome would have probably been the same had the kid not been gay. like matt said....there's a HUGE push on punishing "bullies"....that's pretty much what happened here regardless of sexual preference. I really dont think it would have mattered. People would still have had sympathy for the situation, if notMKORE sothan they do currently.</p>same sex adoption, dont ask dont tell, laws concerning gender identity.

find me a similiar case

if u can find me a case of lets say an obese teen taking a shower and somebody video taping it and sending it to all that kids peers to make fun of them and then they go kill themslef - then i'll play along...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_of_Megan_Meier

i'd say thats pretty similiar

EDIT: actually i wouldn't...

theres really no other case like this... that i can find anyway

how bout this:

if it were a girl in this situation, gay or not...same penalty....
if it were a girl being prosecuted for it, same penalty....

I cant think of a reason this would have had a different outcome.
Because pretty much everything bad that COULD have happened to this kid, did....</P>

I gotta ask though, in all fairness: what punishment should a person get who did the things that essentially led to a kid committing suicide?</P>

I agree it would of been as well

and i'm of the belief that lesbians are MUCH more socially accepted than gay guys. I made a joke about me loving lesbians before but there was ttruth in that

but their point is that because its a gay issue, the punishment is more

and I say its no more than racial issue or even a vanity issue like obesity.

I think it would of ended the same

how bout a straight interracial couple..... what if it was the same scenerio except a white chick/black guy, and the girls roommate put it out there and this happened because like her family was extremely racist so she couldn't handle it or something

or maybe she was obese and having her boyfriend over and they were video'd having sex and the same outcome

Ehhh, I dunno, probably. They are good points, but I just find it sooo much more fun to talk/joke/make fun of-- about the gay lifestyle with my wife(as an example) than Black/White couples, fat skinney, etc. For me anyway, there's this "thing" about it.

I don't think you understand the tax code. When you donate to charity, you don't get ANY of the money. If he took the "tax hit" he would keep 85% of it since his income is almost exclusively from investment income. You know, the kind of income that actually creates jobs.</P>

The Real Mitt Romney (http://poststuff5.entensity.net/032312/mitt.php#.T2zHLdjc1n8.facebook)

Will the real Mitt Romney PLEASE stand up.... We're gonna have a problem here
</P>

Romney inherited more than one million dollarsfrom his family and then proceeded to give every penny to charity.</P>

Funny how we don't here that from the media,</P>

more than a million dollars is an understatement of what he inherited...

did he ship jobs over seas as well?
</P>

In his tax return it showed donations totaling 15% of his income to charity. While Obama's was around 1%.</P>

Who's the greedy one again?</P>

first off, i wouldn't consider BYU a charity...

secondly, its hard to give a guy credit for donating money he said he never got

EDIT: and also lets not compare the incomes of Obama to Romney lol. I hope that was a joke. Charitable writeoff to a college to soothe the tax hit - what a humanitarian
</P>

I don't think you understand the tax code. When you donate to charity, you don't get ANY of the money. If he took the "tax hit" he would keep 85% of it since his income is almost exclusively from investment income. You know, the kind of income that actually creates jobs.</P>

I guess I find it interesting that their are people out of work all over the country this fat cats must be waiting for some poor guy to come up with a new way/idea to make money easy like turning water into oil or something....maybe a chain of Steve's Steak houses...How about alaw that doesn't allow foreign made shoesinto this country that would getsome shoe factory's going ...the biggest problem is that our own government didn't protect American jobs they shipped them all over seas with foolish trade agreements...big companies invested in foreign workers with factories, training andtechnologyso they could line their pockets withmore profits...I serious don't know how they fix this mess they made its global now....when you can't go ahead anymore back up! Everything is ****ing great right? these fat cats will start investing pretty soon and there will jobs for everybodyjobswith health care maybe anice retirement plan ? won't be long now....</P>

May I respectfully ask what a "fat cat" is?</P>

AS far as i know, this was her first major movie role. And it was pretty damn good. And luckily, i dont think she'll get typecast as a weirdo.
Like, Rooney Mara is REALLY cute, not as hott as Kate mara, but still really cute.
And her character looks NOTHING like her....like, it was really genius how they made her look, gotta be honest. So ppl were kinda like "wow....i cant believe she did that. I can't believe she did a nude scene..."
I dont think this hurts her at all.</P>

I think I settled on the pond pump. After too much research(which is an issue of mine) I am going with the Laguna Pressure Flo2100 UVC. This bad boy will deliver 1057 gph, with bio filtration, uv clarifying and a backwash feature-similar to a pool pump. $266 all in-Free Shipping. Local pet store, Animal Kingdom wanted $449 for the pressure flo 1400. I got more hp for less cost. All of the employees at the Animal Kingdom are great sources of information and avid hobbyists themselves.

Next project--build a waterfall for the outlet from the pump.

I understand you saying you don't gamble pizz, but, if your friends do eventually goad you into it I recommend either Pai Gow or Craps....

both games generally have low minimums and you can play for a long time and lose very little...generally they are the types of games you play when you just wanna sit there and get free drinks without spending too much money.

It's that game you see people play with tiles...except you can play Pai Gow "poker" and then you play with cards.

you get 7 cards you have to make one 5 card hand and one 2 card hand....if either of your hands beats the dealers corresponding hand you push....which almost always happens, my friend once sat at a Pai-Gow table for 9 hours straight and only lost 50$

obviously if both your hands lose you lose and if both win you win.

you can also bet bonus if you want...if you get a 7 card straight it's 5000/1 (unless you do it with a joker then it's only 1000/1) also you get the normal 2/1-3/1-4/1 stuff that said you do lose your bonus bet on a push so if you are only there to get drinks and waste some time gambling you can decide not to put anything on the bonus and just sit there forever pretty much.

Of course he's excited to play in NY, wouldnt anyone??

In the post press conference they interviewed him on ESPN and they were really trying to bait him into going against the team bringing up QB issues the jests had last season and how some players were against having him come to NY and he just flipped it on them

Just goes to show you what composes the Jet's fanbase, who the hell would buy a Teebow Jersey? lmao.It has to be all of the bandwagon fans, not cause theyre winning (LOL) cause they're in the media and such.

<u>All of my buddies who happen to root for the Jests HATED the Tebow move </u>and will never rock his gear
yea same here. Some of them are trying to be optimistic though, its cute.
Yeah, you guy's are right. I guess it's cute and pathetic in the same way.

My buddy's a jet fan--for him, sometimes I wish they were not so messed up, but then Rex goes and opens his mouth and I hate everything green.

I remember being excited about Arrington. I think that might be a little different. Teebow's a qb who barely completes 50% of his passes. Arrington was a linebacker who successful at his position.

As an Irishman and big fan of Organized Crime Drama's, I LOVE that movie

Union Leader: We have a contract and you're going to honor it or I'm going to lock out your union. Is that clear ya ****in' potato eater?

Danny Greene: Potato eater? Seeing as how the potato was the only source of nutrition
in Ireland for 300 years and half the population including my ancestors
died in the great famine, I'd say that term is insensitive. Speaking of
culinary tastes, Mr. MacLeish, you're Scottish aren't you? Let's talk
about Haggis. Haggis is seasoned lard stuffed into a sheep's colon. So I
may be a potato eater Mr. MacLeish but I don't eat fat out of a sheep's

My view as a Sox fan was that they were doing us a huge favor by taking a natural relief pitcher (I don't know if I've ever seen a pitcher with so much natural attitude to be a closer since the Mad Hungarian), and turning him into a starter.</P>

The Sox saw the attitude of one of their young starters several years ago and decided that he was much more suited for the bullpen. That was Jonathan Papelbon. The fact that you hate Papelbon prooves it. The Sox were smart to do so. The Yanks were trying to fit a square peg into a round hole since they needed starters at the time. And they ruined a kids career.</P>

Trust me, Joba would have been a hated rival as a Yankee revief pitcher. But the Yankees are stupid. Or at least they were then.</P>

So where does everybody stand on the MLB choices J-Reese named the other day??

He specifically mentioned Greg Jones, Herzlich, and even the possibility of Boley switching to MIKE LB.

Personally I wouldnt mind Boley at MIKE and JQ at WILL or even Herzlich at MIKE, Herz was a half of a step slow but he still has a GREAT football IQ, he was constantly around the play and the ball, he just needed to get up to speed.... Then he got injured, LOL
Love the idea of Boley at mlb. He is a straight up steam roller.I love the idea of Boleys speed and coverage skills in the middle but the only thing I dont like is the idea of him taking of guards and FBs, Im not sure he's got the thickness to take on some of those bowling balls head on

I think I like the idea of Boley at MLB. He's the most experienced at LB, and has the speed and coverage like you said. </P>

I really wish "Warrior" was a more popular movie so people could see how absolutely incredible it was. I don't know much about MMA, but thats not even the main part of the movie. I can't really describe it without giving away too much of the plot...
But it could be the Rocky of the younger generation. I had my family watch it on Saturday, and they all loved it. I've seen it 5 times, and just talking about it makes me wanna watch it again.
My favorite film of the past year easily.Runners up are: Goon...and Drive.

What's your choice for the rotation this year after CheeseburgerCheeseburger Sabathia?

CC
Pineda
Kuroda
Nova
Hughes---- to start the season

Garcia odd man out. I like him, but he's smoke and mirrors that guy...jack of all trades, master of none.

If Pettitte comes in dealing (which we don't really know yet), that's where the real challenge comes. I'd hate to see Hughes in the bullpen when he's coming into the spring alot better. It might not hurt to preserve the arm a little, but...I feel like it could be a mistake to do that when it comes down to it.

Rotation:CC, Kordova, Nova, Hughes

Send Garcia to the bullpen and ease Pineda with a few bullpen reps and see from there, dude is still way young

I don't want Pineda as our #2. </P>

I would even put Nova as our #2. Pineda is someone I have kept an eye on this spring. I wasen't worried when they said his fastball was not topping 92. I feel the Yankees are working with him slowly to preserve his arm. Last season was a clear indicator that after the all star break his arm was dead. </P>

I am curious how Pettitte will do, he says he is in shape; but obviously not baseball shape. But Andy is a vet, he will be fine this season. </P>

All in all I like our pitching staff, we have alot of depth. </P>

James Cameron completes solo dive of the Mariana Trench
by Kraig Becker (RSS feed) on Mar 27th 2012 at 8:00AM

A couple of weeks ago we told you about James Cameron's plans to dive the Mariana Trench, a massive canyon in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that marks the deepest point on our planet. This past weekend Cameron saw those plans come to fruition when he crawled inside his specially built submersible – dubbed the DeepSea Challenger – and piloted the vehicle nearly seven miles beneath the surface. Once there, he not only set a record for the deepest solo dive in history, but he also became the first person to catch a real glimpse of the murkiest depths of the ocean floor.

Even though Im coming around now, Ive never been a QB person. Im a Defense, Run Game and OL kind of guy. I love Eli and I would rather have him than any other QB in the league, but I feel like it would kind of be a 'cop-out'

Tuck would be good, but meh.... Maybe Ill get another Strahan jersey, cant go wrong with my fav player of all time, LOL

I wouldnt of cared if he went to the jets at all. They are so insignificant right now.

And any team thats going to keep a star player(and keep him as a team captain!) that benched himself on the final drive to get into the playoffs deserves to fail. It boggles my mind how Jet fans are that tolerant and werent calling for Holmes head.

well, i dont really care. we're allowed to not like teams, so....lol
its just better that they are falling apart. haha</P>
