I now think we might trade out of the first round.* Just a hunch.

I could certainly see this happening. Maybe back to early-mid 2nd Round?? I see you have been riding the "Lets Trade Osi" Campaign Trail pretty hard...:)

I'm actually 50/50 on trading Osi.* I'm OK either way. Having a pass rusher like Osi for one more year is (footballwise) a good thing.* Its the non football stuff that could be a problem for us.* He could make everybody's life miserable.

Getting a third round pick and freeing up $5MM in cap room is also a good thing.* Pass our problem child on to someone else.

I'm torn because his act is getting old with me.
Its the perfect situation for the Giants. He is playing for his next contract. You guys are paying 5 mill. and he is playing for 10-12 mill. Great value for the G-Men there...

I doubt he wants to play another season without an extension given his age and tendancy to get hurt. I'm sure he desperately wants to be traded to a team that will give him guaranteed money BEFORE this season.

I see another TO situation. I can see Osi doing sit ups in his driveway.

Hopefully another 2nd rounder. Depends on our board and who's off it. Man I looked at our roster and we are thin at D line. The Tolly departure is a problem for us. Plus the Osi mess.

yea put if Reese doesn't value anybody thats there as the 31st pick, he could see major value in the 2nd/3rd rounds, so if we could get an extra player that hes high on that its the move to make...

too many possibilities without enough knowledge of whats going to happen. sit back and enjoy the ride tonight...

Ok Swaggers get your mock drafts together. Since nobody picked Nick Swisher to hit the first homer in the Red Sox-Yanks series, i will put up the Eli Autographed Card one last time...Most correct picks in first round wins and has bragging rights...No teams, just picks #1 through #32..

i'll def be on before the draft to put my picks in

2. Jets trade Sanchez and 16th overall to Browns for 4th overall to draft RB Trent Richardson

I can see the Pats making that deal. they have to stop accumulating picks and start using them.

I think he likes them in later rounds to develop. They must like Brewer next year. We actually are deep in O line but I'm sure we;ll address it later this draft.

I hear Wilson has ball security issues? TC fixed Tiki's problems.

Just how good is the corner that Dallas traded down for?

Hightower is a bit of a question mark, even though lots of Giants fans coveted him.* Chandler Jones however was a great pick.
I actually see it the other way. Hightower played 4 years in a system very much like ours. The guy is strong, fast, instinctive, pretty good in coverage, sheds blockers very well..He is one of those guys that has a nose for the ball and hits like a Mack truck..I thought we would have never had a chance to get him because i had two teams ahead of us taking him. Oh well, only time will tell as with any draft pick. Enjoy your fine day, i have some lovely yard work to do...

Interesting note: Since Jimmy Jones purchased the cowboy's he has traded in the first round over 50 times. I wonder if that's more trades than NE? They did not mention Bellicheck in the same blip.

This is the worst move Reese has ever made in his entire career.

He picked him because he does back flips.

remember who we got last time because of back flips? yeah JPP

JR knows, back flips are the most important attribute to look at when assessing a prospects overall ability, at any position.

So scientist found another planet capable of supporting life, It's actually pretty close in cosmic terms....only 22 light years away, so I started trying to figure out how long it would take us to get there.

(mind you 22 light years IS VERY close...we've seen stuff upwards of 13.2 BILLION light years away with Hubble)

using 20,000 miles an hour as our speed (that's the space shuttle's speed) it would take us upwards of 6.8 million years to go 22 light years.

I was at The Cosmopolitan on Sunday night(actually, more like Monday 2am), and I saw RG3, with a small entourage, and who I assume to be his agent. I was at a table standing behind a buddy who was playing some blackjack, and i heard some commotion behind me, so i turn around, and see some ppl taking a few pics with their phones, so i went to the other side of the pit to see if I could catch a glimpse when they came around, and yea it was definitely RG3. I assume his new agent was treating him to a celebratory weekend of sorts.

hahaha no, I tried to stay off the hallucinigens, psychadelics, barbituates, and other varios uppers

dude it was sick....
we went out pretty much every night and got home at 7am...woke up at 10-11am and started all over again.
Old Vegas is pretty awesome, as long as you stay on Fremont st.....wander too far off, you might encounter crackheads and the like as if you were in west B-More..lol. Old vegas, there is a bar or club every other building. We went to that place Insert Coin(s) which was sick! if you got a seat at the bar, they give you xbox/PS3 controllers and you can choose whatever game you want, and it plays on the screens behind the bar...they also have the selections screens for like every arcade game ever made, and just so much **** in there.

I recommend staying atMandalay Bay for those who can find a deal there....the beach they have was WELL worth it. Every hotel has a pool but, ....NOBODY has a ****ing beach, and the stuff they have there.
I think if I go again, I'll go back there, or Planet Hollywood. Planet Hollywood by far has one of the sickest casino floors. "The Pleasure Pit" takes up like 1/6th of the casino floor, maybe less, and it has all the tables games, and within every "pit", 2-3 gogo dancers wearing uhh...not much......hott as ****....
Let's see...what else....
Some of my friends went to Aria brieflyand said that was really nice, but I was elsewhere during that.
The Cosmopolitan is the newer "trendy" Casino/Hotel, but despite being very nice, i thought it was VERY ******y....like, this is where you'll find the overtanned suitwearing ******s, and the fistpumping ******s spending their parents money. Though I must say, there was a quite a mixture of *******s there. I was coming from a bar, finding a few friends at a table, and walked past this extremely acttractive, modelesque black girl holding a martini in one hand, and a her clutch in the other...and like 8 black dudes simultaneously started hollering at her. Like, can you even get more stereotypical than that? ahaha. and even the bartenders were ******y lol. Thats the casino i saw RG3 at.

Went to Hoover Dam one day. Sounds lame to alot of people, but I assure you, it was very cool to see it in person. The new roadway they built above the damn isbadass in itself. It's a bridge made entirely of concrete. They named it after Pat Tillman actually.(it's on the AZ/NV border and goes over the entire colorodo river canyon). All traffic used to go over the dam, but theres only 2 lanes, and alot of foot traffic, so it wasnt the safest thing in the world.
I thought it was cool how theres a spot on the Dam where you could stand and be in both AZ and Nevada haha. idk, im a dork, i thought it was all really cool. Engineering marvel!!!

Idk, the first 3 days of my trip i was a drunken zombie working on literally maybe 5 combined hours of sleep, so I dont remember alot of it....lol

well, you might wanna swing that way to look at chicks at Cosmopolitan...thats about all it's good for...but like i said....THE BEACH MAN!! THE BEACH!! all the *****es were there (at least from my hotel lol)

ehhh...we were gonna go to the gunstore, but since it required no reservation, we kinda were like "we'll do it...we'll do it..." but like i said, its hard to plan anything like that cuz you get easily sidetracked lol
I sadly did not race the cars. A few of my friends did, and they said it was the coolest **** they ever did, but I simply did not have the money for that. I just couldnt justify it....im pissed about it, but....what can ya do, right?
I dont remember all the cars they had...I know they had a Ferrari 430, a Ferrari 458(droooool), Lambo Superleggera, some crazy Porsche thats apparently faster than all those...and about a dozen other cars. 3 of my friends signed up for the 458, but apparently some ****er signed up for like 30 laps in the ****ing thing, so 2 of them switched cars, and my other buddy was like, **** that, I'm waiting! lol

How about Terrel suggs achilles? Now in the Raven case, in the face of that injury, I would think the first rounder def guy they drafted chances of playing just went up alot.

This one still shocked me, even after he drove off that cliff a few years ago. I don't know if I buy into the head/brain injury thing that is being sold as a possible cause. One thing I know, he did not off himself due to a shortage of hot girlfriends.

I just cant help but feel they dont value the loyalty and tenure we have here, which is kind of depressing. first off, i pity anybody thats never eaten a choco-taco

I would start putting the resume out Pizz, but it is hard to say that they dont' value loyalty since so many diff people are getting paid. Just sucks its not u

Its hard to have any faith in Austin right now in my eyes. If he explodes and balls out i'll love it and if he doesn't i wont be surprised. Too much time away from football

And i like these Osi rumors - send him to the Ravens for a second rounder

Yea, I'm really not losing my cool over this. Like, yea I'm upset about it, im not mad, im just really disappointed that they think this is an acceptable change somehow. It's such a let down to be passed over for the 3rd time in these restructures.
Yea i have a resume on deck that I update as my job here changes, but, the problem is, with this job market, and my very specific skill set more or less limited to finance (based on the experience anyway), i feel im only attractive to Banking and other financial institutions....which would be no problem, except alot of those places donthave the same job security, so that's something im worried about.

I'd take a 2nd rounder for Osi. That's kind of a steal considering most active players dont go for anything higher than that. Is this even a likely scenario?

this will be the 3rd ongoing year this has happened.
One thing I can agree with Osi about, he should be making more than Kiwinuka, and they PROBABLY should have renegotiated him MUCH earlier for the same amount of years and about 5 mill a year back in like 2009ish
Dicey situation, but it's much too late now. I know there arent many people on the Osi side of this argument, but technically, they ARE messing with his money, he's at his prime, and the team 1) wont pay him, and 2) wont let him go somewhere that WILL pay him. It's kind of like the Dwight Howard deal in Orlando....nobody seems to have a problem with him trying to get traded out the past year though >.< Howard would be traded, and would sign an extension with a team for more money, and thats acceptable, yet this isn't....that's so strange to me.

It's kind of like the Dwight Howard deal in Orlando....nobody seems to have a problem with him trying to get traded out the past year though >.< Howard would be traded, and would sign an extension with a team for more money, and thats acceptable, yet this isn't....that's so strange to me.

well I just don'tlike that its been so public.....for the most I'm neutral and relize it bussiness.....NFL contracts are not guaranteed a player can be cut from a team at any point by management and prehaps thats justifiable ...they're doing it for the best interests of the team the cap or whatever..The players only leverage to do whatsbest for them and their careersis to hold out.... and to the tune of some heavy fines that most can't afford.... I also understand you can't have players holding on their every whim... but in this case I can see his gripe....to be honest the pay system for players is a ****ing mess that lends itself to this ****...

yea, unfortunately i feel that it becoming public is inevitable. Especially with a player of Osi's popularity.
Youre 100% correct about the pay in the NFL though. It's very difficult since it's not like NBA where all the players are doing the same thing. What kind of performance dictates what an O-lineman makes? what about DEs? What about Corners? It's too hard to make things even or fair really. But hey...thats why we're not owners and GMs.

As a fan I would prefer not tohear about the dealings " unrealistic I know" ...Ah well I'm not going to get onone side or the other with this one its their system theirproblem...Just give a win ongameday and I'm happy

And use the main partition for important info you don't want to lose .......It also makes it nice to repair an infected partition; you can boot the other partition and go in through the back door "so to speak" and make repairs retrieve info ect... this works real nice and what Iusually do

And to the dope (I guess it was Matt) that suggested I just dump my computer,....I need all that info and wasn't willing to give it up.

Buy a external hard drive for 50 bucks, back up your important crap once or twice a month onto it from now on.

that way you can just wipe the PC when this **** happens it takes like 10 minutes and is free to do.

(or stop using the PC you keep important information on to look up porn)

That too, but It's a little more complicated then just using an external hard-drive to back up...but B's way is completely free...don't even need to buy another storage device (assuming the one you have is large enough already....which for you is highly likely)

yeah it is a little complicated "I'd recommend partition magic for the job about 50 bucks"there are some free programs out there also... or do it fromscratch...which is the most complicated way...I haven't done it in a while but I have several machines here with dual boot I have one with trip boot...win xp,win98 and Lennox with I never got used to...I haven't done anything to this machine cause most cases I can get the virus outeither witha remote machine "home network"or the virus software....your way is a goodidea also.....most cases the info on a hard drive is never lost there is a way to get it as long as the hard drive still spins up...If it don't your screwed....

Rangers game was tooooo sick last night. After the winning goal they showed the benches reaction and I couldnt help but notice this huge black man wearing a Henrik jersey, jumping up and down running down the aisle behind the bench going nuuuts. It was Justin Tuck lmao.
Dont forget that Brad Richards scored with 6.6 seconds left in the 3rd period to send it into OT before Staal scored the BEAUTIFUL winning goal

Another cool option is cheap cloud service. couple bucks a year, once a week auto upload specific folders to backup files. My friend does it for his photography portfolio, that way:

Putting the Osi crap aside, the football reality is this.

When Osi takes the field on passing downs, he moves JPP out of position to left DE, where he's far less effective. I'd much rather see JPP stay at right DE and use Kiwi in the rotation. We will need another back up DE for the rotation but I don't think Osi has the impact you think. At least not from here on out.

I say deal Osi for the best pick we can get and free up $5MM in cap room. That gives us more flexibility to sign guys to be role players. (which is exactly what we need).

Osi does NOT want to be a Giant this season under any circumstances. He views a trade as his only chance for a big contract and it has to be this season. he will continue to be a back up in 2012 for us and after the season he'll be a year older. I posted about this last week:
Why do we make such a big deal about contract hold outs. sure they seem whiny and childish, but just like you said, this is Osi's only opportunity to make more money.
In the NBA, Dwight Howard demanded a trade from Orlando, and it never happened, and everyone around the league, players analysts etc all say the same thing "it's bad business for Orlando to not deal him, youre now messing with a guy's money, and that's not good" and everyone gets behind him.
Osi does the same thing, and every calls him a piece of ****. Whether you like it or not, these past few years, Osi could have made ALOT more money on another team. Now asa Giants fan, thats good for us, but how can people not see that he reserves the right to first ask for a negotiation, and now, a trade? It doesnt help that we've paid other people more than him, and given them sizeable signing bonuses...specifically Kiwi. Not that I see anything wrong with the Kiwi signing, but yea, it does cause waves with Osi for obvious reasons.

That's not happening dude...unless you mean "Ball out" for a new contract elsewhere.....but even then, teams arent going to be willing to break bank on a 31 year old(by the time the season is over) Defensive end. at least i dont THINK they will, but hey, we've seen crazier things.

He's well within his rights to hold out if he wants. I'm looking at this from a Giants perspective. It hurts the team. If he holds out, we not only lose the player, but we still have the cap hit. Plus its a distraction.

Yea but thats why i said you have to look at it from both ways. the guy has money yes, but he has also played for deserved money, which he was apparently promised, yet never received. The Giants are at fault for that. That you have to admit.
It'd be easy for you and I to say "hey that guy is rich, who cares about an extension", but we all know how sports works.

Howard and the Magic? well it ends up that they lose the best center in basketball, get nothing in return, and for Howard, thank god he only has a sore back and not a REAL injury, because if he got BADLY hurt, he would lose money signing with another team. Whereas if he was traded and signed an extension with another team, it's still guaranteed money he gets.
So how DID it end up for the Magic? lol, they arent going anywhere except back to irellevance once they get knocked out of the playoffs.

Its the faking of the severity of an injury not just once but twice! In one year! First before training camp he lied saying he didnt need surgery to get a new contract, and then during the season. I really believe he wasnt injured or wasnt hurt enough to the point he couldnt play. Once we started winning he magically healed. NO ONE questions that move and it drives me crazy.

Its the way Osi goes about asking for a new contract/a trade. Its the attitude. Its the faking of the severity of an injury not just once but twice! In one year! First before training camp he lied saying he didnt need surgery to get a new contract, and then during the season. I really believe he wasnt injured or wasnt hurt enough to the point he couldnt play. Once we started winning he magically healed. NO ONE questions that move and it drives me crazy.

it's been multiple years of this man.....the guy has a boiling point lol. It's not like you can fake a surgery that isn't required lol. The severity of it, I dont know....but I dont really care about that. TC had him benched for a few games when he was able to play anyway if you remember. Osi was the one who said he was good to go, i forget what week it was.

He's well within his rights to hold out if he wants. I'm looking at this from a Giants perspective. It hurts the team. If he holds out, we not only lose the player, but we still have the cap hit. Plus its a distraction.

And you mention Dwight Howard. How did that work out for the Magic?

The only thing I care about is the New York Football Giants. Osis will be fine either way. He'll be driving his Bentley (or whatever he drives) and pooping on women whether he gets a new deal or not.

"Apparently promised"?. Thats a load of crap. Even Osi said that the verbal agreement was "if he was playing at a high level". He has been relegated to a back-up position since he's not a good all round DE. His level of play has been uneven at best. He also has uneven effort as well.

Osi's deal was front loaded. he got most of his money early in the deal, which is a dream contract for a football player.

And contracts aren't a reward for past play, they are about future play. And Osi's future play is a big question mark.

Osi does NOT want to be a Giant this season under any circumstances. He views a trade as his only chance for a big contract and it has to be this season. he will continue to be a back up in 2012 for us and after the season he'll be a year older. He knows that his chances for a pay day are shrinking as every day passes.

In other words, he will pout and whine and complain and be a general irratant to the team.

all this Osi to Baltimore talk is confusing as a Giants fan....
I hope to the football gods that the Giants are not entertaining this pathetic offer.

3rd rounder? Why not make a trade on Draft day if the Giants wanted something?
Osi for a year is far better than 120th+ pick NEXT year....

third rounder with the ability to be a second rounder? I think that would be more than fair

kiwanuka would be a DE if we lost Osi

and Osi isn't a depth player. Kiwi would replace his role and we regardless we need to find somebody to replace tollefson. That has nothing to do wtih Osi

Not really.* I think they are planning to use put Kiwi back at DE this season.* The Rivers trade would suggest that.* We are actually loaded at LB right now without Kiwi.

I guess thats true, but even so, the advantages of having Osi for another year far outweighs the mystery of a 3rd rounder in the following year....

Putting the Osi crap aside, the football reality is this.

When Osi takes the field on passing downs, he moves JPP out of position to left DE, where he's far less effective.* I'd much rather see JPP stay at right DE and use Kiwi in the rotation.* We will need another back up DE for the rotation but I don't think Osi has the impact you think.* At least not from here on out.

I say deal Osi for the best pick we can get and free up $5MM in cap room.* That gives us more flexibility to sign guys to be role players. (which is exactly what we need).

The least i'd be willing to take for osi is a 3rd rounder with the ability to turn into a 2nd rounder.

BARE minimum. I disagree with your assessment about JPP out of position. The dude moves around alot. We've had him lineup over the center before and get pressure.

You know I agree wtih you generally about Osi, but to suggest our pass rush isn't bette with Osi is madness.

No.* Rivers is an OLB.* Really he's a Will.* Although I suspect he'll be playing the SAM for us this season, with Boley at Will and Herz in the middle.

Williams should also get plenty of playing time as well.* Really our LB situation is pretty good.* If Kiwi moves to DE, we still have a good group there.
In other threads people were saying he would be playing the middle. He has the size.

i think its possible and much mor realistic than Boley playing the middle like that article a few weeks ago suggested. I actually got into heated debates with some morons who tried telling me Boley is one of the best tacklers in the league

The league got a win in the new CBA as it pertains to holdouts. In an effort to prevent them, under the new CBA if player under contract fails to report to training camp, he is fined $30,000 per day by his club. That’s more than double the fine in the prior CBA which was $14,000 per day.

This is totally off the current subject, but I've tried to find out how to put some reaaly old stuff into the histoire (a little French lingo for y'all) and haven't succeeded. One of my all time favorites was Ray Weitecha, C, for about 40 years. He was undersized by the standards even back in the '50's. He was able to center the ball on long snaps so that the laces ALWAYS faced forwards. Today, it's a specialty to just be a long snapper. Do I love DeOssie, absolutement! (A little Fench lingo there!)
