WARE BLOWS!!!

Well that sucks then since he's the most reliable back on our team right now at this point, hopefully Wilson turns out to be a beast otherwise we are in some serious trouble.

pretty much. I think we'll see the return of the 3-Headed-Beast this year.....since you know AB isn't gonna play more than 10 games. Ware/Wilson/Scott

LMAO, if anything the '3 headed beast' would consist of AB/Wilson/DaRell

Only thing Ware is gonna do at Giants stadium is pick up trash and collect ticket stubs

all the Ware hate....what the heck he's still a NYG you should want him to do well...it's almost like you want me to be wrong more then you want the Giants RB's to succeed.
you mean like how all you guys want Beckum to do so well??? HAAA!

Sorry, guys...I don't get it....
the "3-headed-beast" comment just meant a change to the run game. I dont ****ing care WHO it is. How are you all not embarassed how bad our run game was last year?! Bradshaw is not reliable, we don't have Jacobs, you all hate Ware, and we have 2 unproven guys on the roster. I mean, we're not in a good scenario, but it's anyone's ball at this point. I would think that most of you would WANT Ware to excell in whatever role he's given, considering he's been on the team basically as long as Bradshaw.
I think Wilson and Bradshaw are going to tear it up. If Bradshaw can stay healthy for most of the season, the Giants will be fine. Im way more worried and embarrassed how bad our secondary was. They gave up over 1000 more yards than the dreaded 09 defense. But hey, we won the superbowl......

This is basically exactly what I was saying about our receivers a few years back, I've learned from that mistake, I'm actually excited about our running game this year, I can't wait to see what Ware/Da'Rell/Wilson can do, I already know what AB can do and it's ok...I hope he improves and can maybe stay healthy the whole year.

I love AB.....but even HE knows that he is incapable of staying healthy....he got very frustrated about it, during an interview around the superbowl. its just kind of a part of who he is....

His health is only one factor though, his running game is not really that impressive yet either it needs to improve even if he can stay healthy...and we all know what happened to Jacobs when he tried to stay healthy.

That said I honestly DO hope Bradshaw gets better and stays healthy, I don't care who our RB is anymore I don't have a favorite...I just don't want it to be all on Eli and the Receivers....you can only swing that for so long.

okay so we're def doing the Browns game for THEE game right?

*

What about fantasy, whose in this year?

*

I know Byron, Me, Daven, Blondie, Lando, and Pappy are definites.

*

Shock and awe is out, infact i may just give up my mod powers by life time banning him if he comes in here again.

*

What about the rest? Kase? LT? Pats?

WOW, I thought I would have been a given.

Of course Im down, and Im down for whatever game is gonna be THEE Game this year.* I know Im never around anymore, but anything relating to FF or THEE Game, hit me up on facebook, im friends with all of you guys on there and since im working crazy hours 65-80hrs per week I cant really come on here much and any time I get hit up on fb I get a notification on my phone

*

yea i figured u were, just making sure

*

I think we figured Cleveland cuz it should be an easy ticket and is around the time we normally go

*

its funny u say ur never around, because im never around and anytime i come here i see posts from you. I thought you've been around alot more
Well I stop by and flood the board with posts, its not a daily occurance like in the past, or when im not working.

Im down for the Cleveland Steamer game, just let me know where u guys are sitting and we'll try to take over a whole section
You guys will be surprised to find out that Cleveland is actually a pretty good team. I don't think i need to tell you about a certain Linebacker they have named D. Jackson. If you guys do not account for him, you will not be running the ball that day..What do we have so far? 3 votes for Flex???

I'm in for flex... 4pt qb tds

Most likely that's the case. I just dont know how I feel about Bradshaw anymore as a reliable option. SO much potential with the guy, and he only has1 *good* season to show for it because of all his injury issues.

He runs hard every play. He played on 2 broken ankles and was still ok. He also has one of the best stiff arms in the NFL. He had the whole offseason to rest. Bradshaw and Wilson are going to tear *** or at the very least do enough to open up the passing game and Im very excited about that.

There was a guy wearing #77 that I never heard of. And Friggin Jon Lester. He hasn't pitched well since August last season. He's the reason we missed the playoffs last year.

No...this team made the same mistakes the Yankees always made. Buying FA's and trading your best prospects for one player. Time to get back to being what we used to be.

And Bobby V. aint the guy to get us there either. Its appropriate that we are exactly at .500 at the break. We are a .500 team. With Ellsbury we are a .550 team. So expect around 86 wins for God's team.

A President can bankrupt a country, ruin an economy, add 100,000 troops in a war that has no meaning, sign oppressive legislation, but if he has a nice smile and sings Al Green songs in tune...he can get re-elected.

So around 20 days until camp. What are you looking most forward too this season?

-Wilson and Bradshaw. Also being overlooked, the giants will be dump passing to rbs more again, this will give Nicks and Cruz even more room.

-JPP. Kids just a freak. Probably my favorite Giant right now.

-How the linebacker corp will look. Kiwi had a pretty solid year for a guy everyone thought was done. I think hes only going to get better. With a running start he makes it into the back field very quickly, as we saw last year on a few plays. I love Chase, loved his energy before he was cut and how crazy he would be on special teams before kickoff. He knows the defense but as far as athletics go, no bueno. Rather see Mark or Rivers.

-Can the secondary step it up, or the better question is will they be put in better position to make plays? Last years secondary gave up 1000 more yards than 09. Very pathetic.

-The WR's, not only the battle in camp but watching Nicks and Cruz is something special that no Giant fan should take for granted.

-And last but certainly not least, Eli. Unless were getting blown out, there is always a chance with Eli. One of the best qbs in the league at reading defenses, if not the best. Easy E showed up time and again late in games his whole career, especially last season. His accuracy last season was top notch. Almost threw for 5000yards. And I believe his attitude is contagious and helps make others players play well. Its Elis team right now.

I think the Rivers signing is going to be the move that people aren't talking about right now, that we WILL be talking about mid-season.

I hope Wilson breaks out in his rookie season. People won't stop preaching the value in the spot we drafted him, so i'ts kind of exciting.

The secondary, if they stay more healthy than last year (nightmare) I think already is in a better spot to perform, just based on health. Never know, our former weakness, could be our new strength.

We have never ever seen WRs like we have right now. Even losing Manningham, we have 2 elite receivers. I'm not saying Cruz will mirror his numbers from last year, but, special kid we got, and Nicks speaks for himself as far as i'm concerned.

Hard to tell anything until we know who will be left standing (healthy) by the end of pre season. The best hopes of men are often dashed by the dreaded torn ACL or Pectoral Muscle.

Eli.......'nuff said....

Hard to tell anything until we know who will be left standing (healthy) by the end of pre season. The best hopes of men are often dashed by the dreaded torn ACL or Pectoral Muscle.

BTW...Is anyone else's MB reply box all screwed up or is it just me?but what are you looking forward to most.

So around 20 days until camp. What are you looking most forward too this season?

-Wilson and Bradshaw. Also being overlooked,* the giants will be dump passing to rbs more again, this will give Nicks and Cruz even more room.

There were no undeserving Yankees this year....so know, I dont know lol

Cano, Granderson, Jeter, Sabathiaare all deserving all-stars.

Now if A-Rod and Tex made it again this year with the seasons they are having, I'd agree with you....but those other guys i mentioned, nah it's legit.

Trout and Trumbo were both all-stars....so....lol

Biggest Snub this year: James McDonald from Pittsburgh

I was refering to years past and some of the old time Yanks...I thought Johnny Cueto really got snubbed because of a brawl involving the Reds and Cards a few years back.....

I understand. there was one year where our infield was the all-star team. lol, as well as Mo and CC (deserving though)....same would happen in the 90s too i think though, youre right.

Cueto got snubbed too. But aside from 1 extra win, James Mcdonald has a better ERA, better WHIP and more Ks...

Price and we usually want to set up THEE Game to be one we think we will win for a better time, you know cause people are coming from all over we want a win, don't want em going home disappointed.

Me and Matt and the NJ people are all pretty close to the stadium most of us go to multiple games every year so it's not a huge disappointment when we go and lose, when you fly from utah and end up watching a losing game I would imagine it sucks.

FYI, my ridiculous streak of attending Giants games where we won was ended at the Green Bay game with LT, so rest assured, now that the inevitable loss is out of the way, the streak will start anew!!!

The last time I was at a Giants game and they lost was December of 1989, against Philly. Coldest I ever was in my life. It was the famous Randall Cunningham 90 yard punt game.
But I admit there was a long streak where I was broke and couldn't afford to go to the games.

I really don't know how most fans can afford to go to games. It costs a friggin fortune. Coming back from Disney, I can relate it to that. People save up for years to go to Disney. But thats only once in a while. Guys who go to games several times a year are making a huge financial sacrifice.
A Dad with three sons would drop a grand on one game.

My mom saved for5 years to bring my brothers and I to disney world. I was just about to turn 18, so I didn't really wanna go....but in my head I started to figure out how much it was actually going to cost her, and it would have been heartbreaking to her if I didnt go after how hard she tried to do this for us. Her 2nd job went right to her disney money
My mom was poor(my parents divorced when i was in like 4th grade)...I mean REALLY poor. I got a job at circuit city when I was 18, and I made almost double what she was making because i was straight commission back then.
My mom is the greatest goddamn woman alive.

Yeah...Sea World was my least favorite day. There's nothing like the Magic Kingdom, its heads and shoulders better than any other park. Epcot is great too but just different. Animal Kingdom was OK. I didn't go the Hollywood (The old MGM) because we didn't think that my granddaugther would be that interested, but I would have liked that.
To me its really about the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Those are the best parks by far.
No one does it like Disney. They charge a lot but they work hard to justify the cost.

Gotta find deals, for example scalping at a Giants game, Tickets get down to 30-60$ right before kickoff...sometimes you can find cheap ones the day before on the ticket exchange even....you just got to look around.

Disney I gotta ask my co-worker, but I know him and his entire family go every single year and he is FAR from wealthy (after all he works with me lol) but he has some type of deal were his hotel/food and tickets to Disney world are all payed for, for 3-4 days? works out to some ridiculously low price like 300 dollars a person or something? 5 people go on vacation for 1500 dollars and you get free food and tickets and hotel room? you can't find a much cheaper vacation then that outside of maybe camping?

(PS: The exception is people who are coming from out of town to go to the game, you can't scalp cause you need to know you are getting a ticket and travel costs hotel rooms that stuff adds up)

I generally go to 4 games a year on average, on tickets I probably spend around 400 dollars...if I didn't drink like I do it would be a relatively inexpensive thing to do on the weekends, I mean look at it this way, if you want to go to a "club" you'd be paying 20ish at the door anyhow...for what? loud annoying music?

I'm trying to remember exactly where I went....
The day everyone went to Animal Kingdom I think I got sick, so I stayed home?
Magic Kingdom is actually what I dont remember....like I know I went lol...but, I only remember a few things. My youngest brother was 10 at the time, I know I brought him on all the smaller rides, but yea, I have no idea.
I dont know what MGM/Hollywood is....at least not by name. I looked it up, and I dont think I went.
I remember universal, with all the crazy movie stuff/rides. Some of that was ok....mostly because the rides were well-known...

Well we took 6 people, including ourselves. We didn't pay for a hotel room, just two timeshare trades which were something like $300 per unit. We paid for everyone's airfare which was around $300 PP. Then we only paid for the Parks for Me, my wife and my grandaughter. We paid for about half the total food bill. The trip probably set us back over $5,000.00. And if you add the maintenance fee for the two years of timeshares we needed to trade, that goes up over $7000.00.
If we had to get hotel rooms it would have been more. No it costs a fortune to go to Disney.
Most people save up for several years to go. Its kinda like going to DC, you have to take the family there once in the kid's childhood to give them that experience. (If its possible of course)

We went to Universal in 98. (The last time we went to Disney) Its not a Disney Park so the quality isn't quite the same.
As for the Magic Kingdom, I'm not one of those nutty rollercoaster riders who need loops and all kinds of scary stuff. I think Space Mountain is still the best rollercoaster I've ever been on. Disney doesn't do the really scary thrill rides. They try to do it so even young kids can go on the rides. I think they do it very well.

New Hampshire is great. My daughter got married with the Presidential Range in the background.
When I was a kid, we took a family vacation on a lake near Augusta, Maine. That was a great place.

I'm not arguing that it "can" be expensive, but it "can" also be cheap, as a family we went every year, we had family on my mothers side that lived in Orlando so we didn't have to pay for rooms which was nice considering at the time our family was not very well off at all, we drove down every year except for a couple, we always went to either sea world or Disney.

what I'm saying is that you can find cheap ways to go if all you want to do is go to have your kids having that experience...even borderline poverty level could do it every year, you just have to do it cheaply...which like I said is possible, my co-worker goes every single year on a salary of less then 60k for the family and he has medical issues that he's constantly paying for, I believe he pays around 2 grand total for 3-4 days including everything, he's going August of this year I'll ask him what he's doing when he gets back into the room.

Car rental alone is $400 bucks. The parks are over $90/day per person. Airfare is a nightmare.

How many people in his family? because if he has 4, even with 3 day passes, thats over $1000.00 just for the parks alone. then you actually have to eat. At any Disney restaurant for 4 people, its $50.00 bucks minimum just for lunch.
And how many people have friends who live in Orlando?

And if you add the maintenance fee for the two years of timeshares we needed to trade, that goes up over $7000.00.
If we had to get hotel rooms it would have been more. No it costs a fortune to go to Disney.
Most people save up for several years to go. Its kinda like going to DC, you have to take the family there once in the kid's childhood to give them that experience. (If its possible of course)

Ok Morehead I just had a discussion with him about it.

he said he pays around 2600$ total for 6 days 7 nights, he stays at a place called All-Star Resorts which is part of Disney (so he doesn't need a rental car) and the deal includes tickets to all the major parks (every day) as well as all his dinning for around 160$ per adult per day and 90$ for each kid each day....you can get the deal on the Disney World website.

He does this every single year and I know what he gets payed it's about what I get payed (a little less) and he has a family and his wife does not work....

you choose to go the expensive route MH he found the cheap way....but if it's only for the experience for the kids the cheap way is good enough.

I notice most of you guys do some traveling/vacations and such ...there wasn't a lot of money aroud when I was a kid...but we had a camp on a little lake up my Dad and Gramp built in the 50's..We would spend a month or two there in summer when I was growing up...good time...we still have the place shared ownership...I mostly go out there in the winter and ice fish its a peaceful place....Back in my rock and roll days man we through some bad *** parties nothing like playing music outdoors we could be heard for miles I miss those days ...

never been to D world....we use to take our kids to new Hampshire lot of fun things to do there beautiful state
New Hampshire is great. My daughter got married with the Presidential Range in the background. When I was a kid, we took a family vacation on a lake near Augusta, Maine. That was a great place.probably Cobbossee lake...I know it well fished it many times its only about a 1/2 hour drive for here where we live

Most people don't drive to Florida from the northeast. You usually have to add all the airfare and rental car. thats another 2 grand minumum.
Its good that your friend can do that every year. Its probably a great family tradition and thats all good. But being in a car with the entire family and all the luggage for 20 hours or so would not be pleasent for a lot of folks.

no I know what you mean, most of the trip was ok, but as kids me my brother and sister definitely got on each others nerves pretty bad at times, arguing about someone taking up too much room etc etc.

but most of the time we just read books or played gameboys...we would always leave late at night to miss the DC traffic so a large chunk of the time was sleeping, my mom and father would switch off (90% of the time it was non-stop) later on they bought their camper so we'd pull off at a walmart and get a few hours sleep in our camper...and then stay at a KOA in the camper when not staying with the family down there.

Homestead is right above the keys, Tallahassee is right past the boarder, Orlando was in the middle, you'd think we'd go Tallahasse-->Ocala--->Orlando--->Homestead then come home...that would be bad enough, but nope it was usually Orlando Ocala Tallahasse then Homestead....so much driving...lol.

I can't think of 4 Florida cities further way from each other.

I believe this is the plan he's talking about.

Disney Offer (http://bookwdw.reservations.disney.go.com/ibcwdw/en_US/specialOfferDetails?name=Promo&promotionCode=Packa geOfferPS&market=PackageOfferPS&CMP=KNC-WDW13_Q1TW_GO_PSLP%7CG%7C4121300.RR.AM.L3501.02)

he's probably neglecting to mention the travel...but car travel is probably the way he goes, say 3 tanks of gas each way so add another 50x6=300$ still you are looking at around 3k for a family of 4 for 6 days 7 nights.
Thats a long *** drive.

been through that drive at least 16 times in my life...it's not "that" bad...lol

I think my father got to the florida boarder once in 16 hours? I think that was our best time...in an old Buick station wagon, with a rear facing seat in the trunk lol.

it's still another 4ish hours from the boarder to Orlando though if I remember correctly.

wow that is pretty good....
I think my record for a long trip is my 2nd semester at UGA, I drove back to Athens, GA in 13 hours with my buddy also from PK. It easier when you dont have to stop much except gas.
I'd say that based no your dad's 16 hour drive, I'd probably be on par with that time.

Florida is huge. getting to the FLA border is still a long *** way from Orlando, Tampa and especially Miami or Naples.Yea, took me 8 hours. Very long. Davens right, those trips build character. lol

My job is to ORDER everything....not to make sure you personally have it in your office. If you dont have forms....get them....you know where we keep 'em! lol

Some guy goes "hey there's no slips in that display right there. can you refill them?"

Real Giants fans don't root for their QB to fail. I was defending all Giants fans. I mean Dezz thinks our defense sucks, but I don't for a minute think he hopes they give up a lot of points in a game. He's too busy thinking about dead hookers.

So we need to vote on some new stuff flex, qb points, and what else?

I dont think we can vote on QB points until flex is resolved and then what kind of flex wil it be, with 2 or 3 WRs. So first vote has to be FLEX or STANDARD.

We have 11 members returning so first to 6 gets the vote.

the problem wiht flex is that it becomes too much about peple stacing RBs and WR value isn't as high, especially with a deep WR cass like this year.

Its not as strategic and for lesser leagues. I think those that started as rooks in this league have moved on from rookie stage.

I like being able to choose 3RB's or 3WR's each week, Matt has this idea that Fantasy is still about the RB (it used to be) so when you allow flex everyone will choose 3 good RB's....this won't happen but that's what he "thinks" will happen.

My Point - Flex = more options for everyone every week.

and while I may have said something to the effect of "you know you are playing in a deep league when you play X Receiver" that is completely separate from whether flex is involved or not...they really have nothing to do with each other, you can play a deep league with flex or without.

What the hell? The reason I'm anti flex is because I bought YOUR argument that having no flex was better for good players.

I don't know if I ever made that argument lol Matt was always against flex I was always for it.

I like being able to choose 3RB's or 3WR's each week, Matt has this idea that Fantasy is still about the RB (it used to be) so when you allow flex everyone will choose 3 good RB's....this won't happen but that's what he "thinks" will happen.

correct. and considering so many more teams are going 2+ RBs nowadays, that's a bigger decision than ever in fantasy.

Here's my assessment..........Good players don't like the flex. Marginal players like that crutch.baloney

Yes but the best players thrive with fewer options. It requires more knowledge and gamesmanship.

Yes but the best players thrive with fewer options. It requires more knowledge and gamesmanship.

Fewer options makes it simpler, I like having to choose between the 60th best WR and 65th best RB for my flex depending on the match ups instead of being forced to just put the 60th best WR in because there isn't a flex.

limited options on "good" players because of more TEAMS makes a league more difficult, allowing the team roster settings to make the choice for you isn't making the league more difficult...it's making it simpler.

BTW. I vote to return the defense scoring to the old points, tunrovers, safeties etc... format. No "yards allowed" and other complex crap like that. The unilateral and frankly "unamerican" decision make last year was unacceptabvle.

My case is made.It has nothing to do with people being good or not. Sucks when you pay over 20 bucks to play in a league only for your starting rb to get injured week 2. And some people just prefer higher scoring games.

that's why you handcuff when possible, the reason I like Flex is because it makes the starting lineup decision more difficult, in my opinion.

when it's 3WR mandatory then you just play your 3rd best WR every week there isn't much thought in that, but if you have a Flex you can play your 3rd WR OR your 3rd RB depending on the matchup's and such...I don't know it just seems like the decision is harder and there is more thinking involved when it comes to flex vs mandatory 3 WR's

No my argument is that strategy should be in how you build your team and weekly matchups is a secondary strategy. When you do 2 WR flex leagues it always puts a rush on running backs. It's something that has been proven time and time again with you when we got back and look at draft results.

Personally I say we compromise, 3 WR flex league, 6 point qb td. Tht way everybody is happy
