I miss the days when you said absolutley nutty things. When you split up a post and replied one sentence at a time. When you ranted with run on paragraphs of drivel.
I'm feeling very nostagic for the olden days. The days where you claimed we had the worst WR's in the NFL, and that if we could only sign Braylon, we would be fine.

Ryan Leaf could probably take on anyone, considering he's on so many pain killers at any given point, that he wouldnt feel a thing. You'd have to cut off his legs or something in order to stop him from coming at you. lol

Confidence or what matt used to call (A little bit of I don't give a ****? I think back in the BLT days) will get you one night stands, but what morehead's talking about is the kinda stuff you sorta have to do time to time to keep the girl....at least that's how I see it, Matt would never admit it but I'm sure he does similar things with Amanda.

As you may or may not recall,Dezz and I discussed numerous times, the only girl I would have done that for is who I consider my "unicorn"......and I could just never get her....so it was back to the grind of whatever you want to call what I did before, and still do now. lol

Rules for Bryant. lol

• A midnight curfew. If he's going to miss curfew, team officials must know in advance;

• No drinking alcohol.
• He can't attend any strip clubs and can only attend nightclubs if they are approved by the team and he has a security team with him.
• He must attend counseling sessions twice a week.
• A rotating three-man security team will leave one man with Bryant at all times.
• Members of the security team will drive Bryant to practices, games and team functions.

The problem is that he drafted him in the first place. He was dropping on the board for a reason. You can't win with a guy like that. You can't have a bunch of saints on your team, but this guy is a major problem and this entire situation could easily blow up this season. I agree that the Crawford deal was horrible, but the Arod deal was still the worst. They had no inyterest from any other team. They could have signed him for a lot cheaper and for fewer years. You can't sign a guy into his 40's for that kind of money. That was crazy!

Sucks they got injured, both of them need as much time on the field as possible.

Hoseley is a rookie and the jump from D1 to the Pro's for a CB is a tremendous one, its gotta be one of the hardest positions to make the transition with.

And Prince needs to stay on the field and prove that he can take that starting role and not get overwhelmed and stay healthy.

We're SOOOOO close to being a DOMINANT team for years to come, all we need are a few pieces here n there

i actually like Coe alot...

and am hopfull that Tryon can return to some sort of form he was at

Im LOVING our Pass Game, Bennett, Our WRs, FB, interior OL, DE's, LBs

But im still iffy on our OTs, our Run game, our DT Depth, Starting CBs, and Safety Depth

I know we're SB champs but I wanna be SB Champs EVERY year for the rest of my life, LOL

The two most important factors to our economic collapse in 2008.
1. The lowering of underwriting standards in the mortgage industry which was encouraged and promoted by both Fanny and Freddie. This created a bubble in the housing market and encouraged banks to loan money to people without proper financial strength. This came as a product of Fanny and Freddie buying up loans from banks in order to encourage "home ownership"
2. The repeal of Glass-Steagall legislation which required banks to have investment banking and mortgage banking remaining seperate. This law was repealed by BILL CLINTON.

The most important was the lowering of underwriting standards. This has destroyed the housing market and created more upside down loans than has ever been recorded in American history. It was with the best of intentions, but it skewed the marketplace, manipulated by government and sent us hurling down this horrific path.

Here's the thing. We picked up Hixon as a guy who was cut from his team.....Barden we drafted. We've been patient with Hixon....too patient...
Barden deserves at least this season as his "last shot".
At this point, Barden has the higher ceiling in my eyes....low risk, high reward so to speak. I dont view Hixon that way anymore, as he's been somewhat of an injury liability, and he basically hasnt played in 2 seasons. It just wouldnt make sense for us to hang on.

You can say that you think JJ and Barden have the upside to surpass Hixon, but you can't say that they are better football players than Hixon right now without backing it up on the filed in ANY way.
I guess I'm with Matt on this. Thats not to say that I would definately keep Hixon instead of one of those guys, because sometimes you have to take that risk, but Hixon HAS produced and those guys haven't.

The Giants wouldn't spend $3mill on Steve Smith after recovering from his injury....Smith who was a VERY productive receiver for us, much more so than Hixon has ever been. You defended that decision to not offer more than the eagles.

Yet youre saying Hixon is a better option than these young guys? Hixon who has torn his ACL twice? Idk man...kind of a double standard of sorts.

It's funny Morehead, that was my exact argument for Braylon Edwards in the past, I'm glad we went with Nicks instead...

Similarly I hope in this situation we go with a younger guy that hasn't proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is injury prone like hixon has, and has the potential to be better then what we know hixon is, which is at best a "competent" receiver that "used" to be the best Kick Returning option we had.

You may have noticed that I said that it didn't mean we should keep Hixon over those guys. I was simply saying that to say difinitively that Barden or JJ are "better" than Hixon can't be based on anything we've seen on the field. We've essentially seen NOTHING from them on the field.
I have said that I think Hixon is 50/50 right now to get cut. You have to have an influx of young players and the right combination of vets and kids on the team. There are a million factors including "judging" what someone might do on the field without real game experience.

So yes...if its 7, Hixon stays. If its 6, I think Hixon goes. Its really about ST's. There are other guys who play differnt positions who are in the ST mix. Maybe Scott stays because of ST's. That would make it less likely to go 7 at WR.

How do you know that? PUP gets him to week 7. They could have IR'd him at that point if he stayed a Giant. Point is that given their offer to Smith, they had far less confidence in his readiness to play. Clearly they were right.
Smith did the right thing to sign with Philly because that might have been his last real payday. I can't blame him for that.

I dont know why everyone thinks that about Barden. He actually came out of his shell this year it seems.....kind of saved his job so to speak.
We're invested in guys like him.
Did we want Douglas for returns or something? I didnt see much of him. games 2 and 3, i was on vacation so i was constantly up and down, not staring at the screen. Who is on returns?

Was it that pass he was thrown the other day that they counted as an INT? lol

Douglas can/could have returned kicks for the team....last game they had Scott returning kicks.... Idk JP.....good chance Hixon will be returning kicks....

Well, he came from a small school, small division, so he had the athelticsm, just needed the experience in the NFL system.....problem is, he wasn't able to get on the field enough because of freak injuries and the like. So I'm more lenient with him.
it's harder for me to be patient with the hixon situation because we've been waiting YEARS. lol
As far as I'm concerned, the moment we drafted Nicks was Hixon's demise. Then once he missed 2 seasons, it's like he doesnt even exist to me anymore....lol
"YOURE DEAD TO ME!!!" not really...but you get the point.

Hixon is a competent, veteran presence in our WR corps. There is definatley value in that.

Come on....sigh, whatever at least he'll run the right routes I guess, hopefully we do a lot of 2WR set's I guess, really don't like Hixon on the field for us...in the locker room sure, Special Teams...well ok maybe, in the starting lineup...? Why?

He won't be for long. Its a matter of one of the kids to emerge during the season. I look for Randle to be #3 by week 4 or so. Hixon is a vet holding the spot for now and thats all.

I am VERY concerned about the Cowboy's going after Coe tomorrow night. They better get a huge pass rush going.

Why?With our lack of a running game well see plenty of 3-4 wrs sets. Im positive Hixon wont be the lone number 3, Hell be rotating with JJ and Reuben.

You can count on that. (Well maybe 8 yards)
There's gunna be some points scored in this game.

There's gunna be some points scored in this game. The worst is when our corners just stand there 5-10 yards off the wr, then the wr runs a go route and the corner doesnt move because hes playing the flat, and the corner points to the wr to let the safety know the wrs his. Thats where most of the miscues happen, Good example was davis' td against Rolle vs San fran and just last week, Brandon Marshalls td. Happens all the time. Its horrible playcalling. COVER 2 SUCKS ***

This is the last season possibly, right?
Awesome show, but its starting to lose that shock value with me, which is a problem for my TV watching ADD. shows like Dexter i lost interest in because the crazy parts no longer seemed crazy when you expected them. lol
So if it ends soon, at least i know i finished it ha

Yea that part was umm....kinda awful.

You know it would happen to one of them.....but, there's no show w/o Walt, so....it was predictable. lol
